Hey there campers! So I got my second shot of Pfizer yesterday (Pfizer Uppercut!) and despite now having 5G inside me I still couldn’t get a signal in Goodison Park. The Toffees won the game at least. There was little in the way of social distancing going on in the concourse but I had a ... Read more from Scotts Blog of Doom! https://ift.tt/2VRSbTG via IFTTT

Smackdown Date: March 16, 2007 Location: Sovereign Bank Arena, Trenton, New Jersey Commentators: Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield I’m really not sure what to expect here and I kind of like that feeling. Last week’s Smackdown was a complete success with a pair of gems in Undertaker vs. Finlay and Kane vs. Batista. If they ... Read more from Scotts Blog of Doom! https://ift.tt/3jZYw89 via IFTTT

TONIGHT! New Japan actually has a pretty big show with Resurgance, which I’m assuming you can watch on NJPW World but you can definitely order it on Fite.TV: https://ift.tt/3z05lwo It’s $20 and as always, buying it through my link helps out the blog. Smackdown did a big rating last night, but it’ll likely come down ... Read more from Scotts Blog of Doom! https://ift.tt/3sgFbDf via IFTTT

The Summerslam reposts reminded me of this tangentially related question: The commonly bandied about story is that DiBiase was originally scheduled to win the tournament at WM4 before HTM pulled his little power-play (and as I recall, at least one shoot interview, maybe HTM himself – so yes, consider the source – has confirmed that).  ... Hulk Hogan was the only man in history to hold the IWGP, WWF, and WCW World Heavyweight Championships. Today, the equivalent of that would be holding the IWGP, WWE, and AEW World titles. As of right now, there's only 3 men that could accomplish that great feat….Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, and Kenny Omega.   Out of ... Read more from Scotts Blog of Doom! https://ift.tt/3iJscXC via IFTTT

So I assumed that Reigns/Cena was a foregone conclusion match at SummerSlam. But Cena has proved to be ridiculous box office and is now hanging around through the MSG SmackDown show. And I read that Fox is going all out on 9/11 weekend with sports – big college football games, Mets/Yankess on that Saturday night, ... I’ll keep it short: What are your thoughts on AEW introducing a Junior Heavyweight title? I feel like Sammy or Jungle Boy could anchor the division and would be great to have guys like Hiromu and ELP from NJPW do some work as well when the time comes.  They're not really into weight divisions and ... Happy Rampage Aftermath Day Everyone! I’m actually writing this up on Friday night as I’m up early tomorrow to go and have my second jab, followed by a trip to Goodison Park to very likely watch Everton get stuffed like a Christmas Day turkey by Southampton because we are absolutely awful Ah, football… Scheduled today ... Howdy Ho! I’ve always loved this particular show and we’re now in August, so it makes sense from a seasonal perspective to review a SummerSlam event, so this one got the nod. I’m watching the Silver Vision VHS version of the show, which means pretty much all of the music has survived the editors. There’s ... Some more cases of wrestlers appearing on different shows. Calling an audible and going to skip doing the World Championship Wrestling episodes in-depth so that I can do an overall review of the Midnight Express/Horsemen feud on Monday seeing as the episodes themselves aren’t actively bad, but are dry as toast. The SmarK Rant for AEW Rampage – 08.13.21 Well, I decided to use a VPN and subscribe to AEW Plus on Fite.TV to get access to the show, but here we are!  Thankfully next week’s show is on TSN2 so I can just DVR it. Hi Scott,  Is it just wishful thinking or does it seem like Christian Cage getting a shot at the Impact title next week means he's not actually getting the big match on ppv? Hangman has certainly made it clear that it’s not him.   from Scotts Blog of Doom! https://ift.tt/3sfaKNG via IFTTT

Scott Shaq is wrestling… but he didn’t do his own entrance theme?! Seriously, where are the Fu-Schnickens? Bring back the Pepsi Big Slam! Make Shaq Otomix! Shaq cereal! Shaq shack! What are the expectations for AEW Rampage? An equivalent of WCW Saturday Night or Sunday Night Heat? A full 2nd show ala Smackdown?  They’re consistently saying it’s the latter.  I’ll of course give them the benefit of the doubt as long as the money clears.   from Scotts Blog of Doom! https://ift.tt/3fYYxbe via IFTTT

OK, not that I’m advocating undercutting the hard working monopolists of Bell Media and TSN, but here’s how you can subscribe to Fite Plus in Canada and watch Rampage in a better app and on demand, along with Dynamite as well.  Get a VPN.  I use SurfShark because it’s cheapest and has a good mobile ...
