TNA Joker’s Wild quick & easy PPV review.

Hey all. While I’m usually Scott’s trade paperback reviewer, I ordered this PPV and watched it on Friday. And since no one else here seems to be reviewing it I figured I’d share my opinion since its replaying throughout the month in case any of the readers here were on the fence on whether to order it.

Dixie v. Uncle Eric

Hi Scott. I'm not sure what the procedure is to submit new topics for the blog and I didn't want to threadjack but I wanted to know what you and the bloggers thought of this: http://www.facebook.com/l/GAQFz6ATPAQFpDLj_OG26oiZFVweMlQ_9AyBFmm13YRstDA/www.cagesideseats.com/2012/4/14/2949161/tna-news-eric-bischoff-and-dixie-carter-meet-with-spike-tv-executives I hadn't heard this about Bischoff stabbing Dixie in the back before and was looking for your take on it. Well it’s not exactly an objectively written article, that’s for sure.  I don’t really get what Bischoff’s endgame would be, since he already has all the talent that he would have access to now.  And TNA has been saying the same “Focus on young talent” and “Revive the X Division” bullshit for years now.  Yeah, we’re gonna focus on the young talent while Hulk Hogan is fighting Ric Flair in a featured role.  Oh, and by “young talent” they mean Carrot Bischoff.  Dixie is very naive about the business and ...

Impact Wrestling - April 12, 2012

Michael is out tonight so I'm filling in. Impact Wrestling Date: April 12, 2012 Location: Impact Zone, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Mike Tenay, Taz Reviewed by Tommy Hall It's the go home show for Lockdown and again there aren't any spoilers for the show tonight. The main idea here will probably be the announcing of the teams for Lethal Lockdown, or the Garrett Bischoff Showcase, whichever you prefer to call it. Other than that we'll likely get a face to face showdown between Roode and Storm. Let's get to it.

More TNA Stupidity?

Hey Scott, everyone is obviously focused on WrestleMania, but there is another sports entertainment promotion too. Here's a link to their May PPV: http://indemand.com/product/view/298285 I'm not sure whether this is just TNA being clueless, or if someone figures this is a good idea to get people talking... Well, you e-mailed me about it, so mission accomplished so far. That being said, am I not seeing something here that I should be?  It’s a dude with a TNA tattoo on his back, what’s so clueless about that?  Unless it’s supposed to be Jesse Sorenson or something, but it’s not like anyone would really know him just by looking at a poster.

TNA Re-Signs With Spike

New York, NY – April 5, 2012 – Spike TV and TNA Entertainment have agreed upon a multi-year extension on their strategic partnership, maintaining Spike TV as the exclusive U.S. television home of the emerging sports-entertainment property. The deal was announced today jointly by Kevin Kay, Spike TV President and Dixie Carter, TNA Entertainment President.  TNA wrestling debuted on Spike TV in July, 2005.  Over the last seven years, the ratings for TNA’s “IMPACT Wrestling” have grown from an average of 700,000 viewers at launch to nearly two million today. “Dixie Carter and her team at TNA have done a phenomenal job in developing stars for an exciting, high-action brand that resonates with Spike’s audience,” said Kay. “We are excited to further our partnership and will continue to build and invigorate the franchise together.” “We are thrilled that Spike TV will be IMPACT Wrestling's home for years to come,” said Carter.  “The dedication that Kevin Kay and the network ha...

Kyle's News: Ric Flair has to mention TNA in his HOF speech?

According to sources, one thing TNA wanted when negotiating with WWE for Ric Flair’s Hall of Fame participation was that they wanted it to be said in some way during the show that Flair worked for TNA or was there due to TNA. We’re not sure if WWE agreed to that particular stipulation, but it was one of the key things that was being discussed over the past few weeks. Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter  I  appreciate TNA allowing Ric Flair to attend the Four Horsemen's introduction into the Hall of Fame, even though if they said no, it might've caused a tirade. But, Flair should thank TNA for allowing him to attend this event on his own. TNA's Upper Management shouldn't be telling him he has to .  TNA  is trying to get a cheap plug on a WWE show. Little does TNA know, president Obama could plug TNA on national TV and it wouldn't help. Face the facts TNA: you're more known now than 2006 and yet your shows gets almost the exact ratings it did then a...

TNA's Motor City Machine Guns Reunite

As noted before, Chris Sabin has been cleared to return and will be reuniting with Motor  City  Machinegun  partner  Alex Shelley. The original plan was to have them feud with Samoa Joe and Magnus for the TNA Tag Team Titles, but that was before Joe and Magnus turned babyface. Source: F4WOnline.com  I don't see why they wouldn't feud with Joe and Magnus, even if they are babyfaces, because there's hardly any tag teams MCMG could feud with and they should be centered around the tag-team division since they're the best and usually the most over tag team in TNA anyway. This match would be a great addition to Lockdown, which I must admit :gulp: doesn't look like a bad card at all.

Joe v. Kobashi, another try.

The SmarK DVD Rant for Ring of Honor: Joe v. Kobashi. Gotta admire them for honesty in the titles. Anyway, I previously had done a review of the main event on the blog, but I figured that I'd sit down and do the whole show because I wanted to watch the match again, just for kicks. Or in this case, chops. - Taped from Manhattan, NY - Your hosts are Dave Prazak and Lenny Leonard.
