FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH
1.  Kane vs.  Randy Orton
-  Kane charges and scoops up Orton into the corner.  Kane uppercuts Orton on the second rope and knocks him to the floor.  Cover by Kane on the floor gets 2.  Orton follows Kane back in with a lead pipe.  He nails him in the face with it and Kane goes up and over to the floor.  Lead pipe in the opening 2 minutes  = a match not going over 10 minutes.  They brawl through the crowd.  Kane laid out against the boards and Orton runs a knee to the face.  Cover gets 2.  Kane drops Orton down and nails a basement dropkick to the face for 2.  More brawling as the head up to the 2ND tier in the crowd.  Now BACK down to the entrance and Orton goes for the RKO.  Blocked, and Kane with a big boot for 2.  They head to the back and brawl near the level 4 elevators.  Orton throws Kane through the double doors and they brawl in front of people in the back.  Here comes Zack Ryder!  Kane goozles him and Orton Backbreaker gets 2.  Kane tosses Orton into an always needed rack of lead pipes.  Now backstage near the Gorilla position and Kane throws a stage crate at Orton and gets 2.  Back into the arena now.  They brawl back into the ring and Orton with a clothesline out of the corner.  Kane up quick into a low powerslam.  Orton grabs a chair from under the ring.  He goes to the ribs and cracks the chair over the back of Kane.  He takes about 5 more shots as the crowd chants YES YES YES YES YES!  Orton takes Kane to the outside at the announce table.  Kane goozles Orton and Orton elbows out.  ORTON DDTS KANE OFF THE TABLE TO THE FLOOR!  Cover gets 2.5.  Orton goes for the RKO and Kane sends him into the ringpost.  Cover gets 2.5.    Kane is headed up top as Orton is back in the ring.  Superplex by Orton from the top gets 2.5.  Orton tries for the RKO and Kane counters with a chokeslam!  Cover gets 2.999999!  Kane lays out a chair and sets up a chair and goes for a TOMBSTONE!  Orton escapes and RKO ON THE CHAIR!  Orton wins it @ 16:45!  (A slow build with maybe a little too much brawling.  Ending sequence was good and I liked the equal offense by both men.  Good start to the show and Chicago gets jacked up with this opener.  B-.)

-  Backstage, John Laurinaitis and Eve are happy with the way things went down in the opener.  The Raw Roulette is behind them to decide Cody/Big Show's stipulation later.  Eve has a surprise, Teddy Long will play Benson tonight.  Johnny gets a call from Triple H and leaves quickly to talk to him.

-  Earlier a wheel was spun to determine that the following match is a Tables Match.

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP

-  Post match, Show snaps and chokeslams Cody through a table in the ring.  He's not done as Chicago boos him to shit.  Cody over Show's head and gets tossed OVER THE TOP TO THE FLOOR, THROUGH ANOTHER TABLE!  Referees, EMTs are down to check on Cody.  Cody gets to his feet on his own and the crowd goes crazy for Cody.  A real "Stone Cold" moment for Cody.

-  Buy Edge's DVD or just wait for it to be on Netflix.

-  Backstage, Matt Striker is standing by with Daniel Bryan.  Bryan counts the ways he is more superior than Sheamus.  Including his beard, he gets more chicks, and the fact that he is vegan.  He shits on Chicago as he has them in his hand.  He ends by chanting "YES YES YES" as he leaves.  AJ is watching from the side.

-  We hype up the 2 out of 3 Falls match between DB and Sheamus.

MAIN EVENT
EXTREME RULES MATCH
8.  Jimmy Johns presents...Brock Lesnar vs.  John Cena
-  Bell rings and Brock clotheslines Cena down.  Thunderous rights and an elbow busts Cena open already!  Cena pushes him off and Brock clotheslines him back down.  Doctors come back in to wipe him down.  Cena pushes the ref down and Brock just continues to blast Cena in the head.  Charles Robinson is on Brock's back and Brock knees Cena in the ribs to the floor.  Doctor comes back in and Cena shoves him away.  Cena lifts him for the AA and Brock with three Rolling Germans.  Cena elbows Brock back into the referee and Charles Robinson no longer a factor as Brock continues to punish Cena.  Brock now works the arm of Cena.  He grabs Cena's chain that he brought to the ring with him.  He chains Cena's legs together.  Cena stands up and Brock clotheslines him back down.  Cena hung upside down on the ring post and Brock just pounds the hell out of him.  Cena is let loose and he gets up.  He fights back with Brock and Brock just tosses him into the ringsteps.  Brock grabs Robinson by one hand and tosses him back in the ring.  Cena lifts Brock for the AA and Brock jumps out...F5 and Cena's leg nails Robinson.  AHHHHH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!!  Another referee runs in and Brock gets 2.5.  Brock lays out the referee and grabs the ringsteps.  Cena fights back and Brock locks in a Kimoura submission on the arm of Cena.  Cena lifts Brock and drops him on the steel steps!  Cena heads up top misses the Leg Drop off the top rope.  Cena rolls outside the ring.  Brock taunts him standing on the ring steps in the ring.  Cena on the apron, Brock takes off and nails Cena with a kick and they both fall over the top to the floor!!!!!  Brock pops up and laughs it off!  Cena up again for the same spot...CENA NAILS HIM IN THE HEAD WITH THE CHAIN!!!!  BROCK IS BUSTED OPEN!!!!!!!!  Cena lifts Brock and AA ON THE RINGSTEPS!  CENA WINS @ 17:41!!  (This was just a stiff brawl from the get-go.  I liked how they worked the match. Brock still looks strong.  Cena looked like an underdog and got the win at the end with little offense.  B+.)

-  Cena grabs a mic and says he may be going away for a while and his boss may not like what he is saying. He thanks the fans and says this was the right town to do it in.  He leaves the ring in visible pain as the show ends.

FINAL THOUGHTS...
-  Top to bottom a great card on paper.  Some matches didn't hit home but the 3 main matches were WELL worth it!  A lot of complaining I hear about the decision to let Cena go over if he is leaving, but I think it is done right.  "But why should Cena go over if he was just leaving?  It makes Brock look weak!"  Well, if that's the case, then Cena should go over at Wrestlemania, right?  Very happy with Cena winning.  Very happy with Punk winning.  And I can deal with Sheamus going over.  They gotta milk this proverbial cow (Daniel Bryan) for all it's worth.  Happy with this show, one of the best shows of 2012, so far.  See you Thursday for Impact.

Comments

  1. Chicago crowd tonight wasn't as good as MITB. The Rosemont crowd (nearby) has a lot more smarkitude and would have booed Cena way more.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I'm just amazed that Cena got the face heat he did.  It says something about how much the crowd hated Lesnar.  Hopefully that hatred will equal money because Brock put on a hell of a show tonight.  I was worried that he'd look terrible but he's taking this seriously it looks like.

  3. Two killer PPVs back to back. For whatever missteps the company makes on RAW/SD, if they can still bring the good when people are paying good money for it, then they're on the right track.

And I actually think the Cena finish worked because I was certainly not expecting it after how long the beatdown went on. It was crossing into Apollo/Drago territory; HE THINKS IT'S A DAMN FIGHT! THROW THE DAMN TOWEL!

    ReplyDelete
  4. What an incredible PPV, Lesnar/Cena was one of the most surreal matches I've ever seen. For the first few mins I was genuinely thinking that Lesnar was shooting... I love when the lines are blurred, when you got a cynical jackass like me questioning if this was real or not, you got something special!

Epic epic show, Jericho/Punk was off the charts as was DB/Sheamus! I pray they don't fuck this up what they have with Daniel Bryan because there is a chance to turn the guy into a mega star.

  5. This wasn't the same building as Money in the Bank last July?

    ReplyDelete
  6. My bad. It was, but the crowd was far more pro-Cena this time around.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I can't believe some folks are defending Cena going over.  He's leaving, he's been hurt for some months (wrestling observer), he's taking time off....forget who you like or don't like, this is not good storytelling and makes no sense.

    ReplyDelete
  8. In retrospect I agree.. I didn't know he was taking time off until now. But damn.. what a match!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm with you. Great match or not, severe beating or not, everyone's just gonna know Brock lost. Why have Cena win if he's gonna leave? Why would he leave he just overcame the odds? Vince is THAT scared of losing any bit of superheroism in Cena that he can't even take time off w/o looking like Superman on the way out? WHY??

    ReplyDelete
  10. This is the 1st I've heard of Cena taking time off... how long has that been floating around?  I had no idea what to make of his post-match speech.

    ReplyDelete
  11. It's all about context.  Brock didn't look weak at all but his overconfidence was his undoing.  Plus a chain punch to the head and getting slammed on steel steps.

    ReplyDelete
  12.  Oh, no doubt, just don't get the folks that are ok with it.

Michael, I'm looking at you. :-)

  13. "A lot of complaining I hear about the decision to let Cena go over if he is leaving, but I think it is done right. "But why should Cena go over if he was just leaving? It makes Brock look weak!" Well, if that's the case, then Cena should go over at Wrestlemania, right? Very happy with Cena winning."

I, I don't even know what you're trying to say here. Are you saying that because Rock went over at Wrestlemania, that therefore it was okay for Cena to go over here? Because those were two completely different situations. This is insane. It's crazy. It'd be like if, at the beginning of A Knight's Tale, Heath Ledger went over that dude from Dark City. You know why that's not what happened in that movie? Because if that happened, *there'd have been NO movie*. It would've just ended there. That's exactly what has just happened here.

  14. Or Rocky going over Clubber Lang...

    Or Daniel going over Johny...

Or Obi-Wan going over Darth Vader...

    Should I go on?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Didn't get a chance to watch it, sounds like people are pissed Cena won. I bet Brock laying down in his first match back was done to difuse any current or future heat he has.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Why are you "undoing" the unstoppable heel his first match in??? His undoing is when he gets his comeuppance AFTER destroying absolutely everybody.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Was that legit Punk's sister?  I ask since she was clearly saying, "Go Punk!," and all I could think of was Mama Steiner saying "Scott and Rob" at Summerslam '93.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oddly enough, while Jericho vs Punk was very good with a very hot ending, I felt like Cena vs Lesnar and DBry vs Sheamus made it look a bit... obsolete. Neither of those matches relied on tonnes of counters and near falls - the same kind of thing we have been watching for years - in order to establish their heat. It was all good ol'-fashioned psychology. The arm work in both matches, the intensity of the beatings, the top-notch selling - it was all excellent. They really pushed the crowd to respond the way they wanted by sticking to their storytelling guns. Punk vs. Jericho was a lot of fun, but they don't seem to know exactly what they want to do before all the crazy near fall/reversal stuff at the end - and even that stuff seems a bit passe. I like Punk alot, but after his talk last year about changing things, it is actually Bryan and Lesnar (the names on the blog's marquee!) that seem to be bringing new approaches with them and making them work. Then again, poor Punk has been totally Benoit'd in this reign - only main eventing his first PPV as champion. They really need that character to have a bit more fire in him...

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm sorry, but I disagree 10000%.  Context does not apply here.  Brock is the invincible bad ass and they just killed that aura.  What he did to Cena in the match becomes irrelevant the minute he gets pinned.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Dude, get a torrent for this show, NOW.  It was pretty awesome aside from Cena going over.

    ReplyDelete
  21. OK there are more guys for Brock to face than just Cena you know that right?

    ReplyDelete
  22.  I thought Brock shouldve went over at first but it wasnt what the match was about. Brock didnt come in to win matches, he came to hurt people. Cena won the match, Brock won the war.

    ReplyDelete
  23. For what the booking was, the main event was great.  If Cena had to go over, then that was the way to do it.  Not thrilled with how he was fine (except for his arm) after the match and could joke into the camera but at least no Super Cena.  They had me at those elbow strikes - I don't know if Cena pre-bladed to help that or what, but they were vicious.

That said, I would be 300% more interested in Lesnar's next match if he had won.  I thought he did well, he sold well, he maybe got lost for a couple seconds here and there but he was an ass kicker.  If he faces Orton next, I was very interested in if he'd crush his collarbone by accident.  Now, meh.

There is no money in a Lesnar/Cena rematch after Cena returns because he won already.  Really odd booking decision.

  24. The Love-Matic Grandpa!April 29, 2012 at 9:43 PM

So they bring Brock back (despite the hard feelings on both sides) and pay him a great deal of money based on the idea that he will bring extra eyes (and $$$$) to the product. They then spend several weeks building him up as something special and unique to the "WWE Universe" (sorry, Scott) and even claim that he's bringing legitimacy back to the company. So, in his first match back in years with those presumed new eyes watching...he jobs clean in the middle to SuperCena. Right.

If this was a one-and-done for Brock, I could understand it. But do they seriously think he's going to move the needle now against the likes of Orton and Punk after turning him into Just Another Victim of the dreaded AA? Sure, he'll be over and all that, but we've already got plenty of guys who get big arena pops that don't translate into cold, hard cash. If this was the plan all along, they should have save their money and just pushed Ryback or something.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Who cares? Lesnar's already been beaten.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Brock's "invincible badass" persona was already killed in his last UFC match which a shit load of people saw.

    ReplyDelete
  27.  I think the Chicago crowd, which is among the best in the business, saw the beating Cena was really taking and showed him the respect he earned. He was far from Smiling Superman Cena tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Before you misinterpret my posts, I'm not angry, I'm more surprised and stunned at the lack of understanding of how to tell a story.

Who's the #1 guy in the company?  Cena.

Who's the guy you invested a shit ton of money to "be the new face of the company"?  Brock.

Who has an aura of bad ass invincibility?  Brock.

Who's going away on vacation?  Cena.

Who do you job?  Cen-err, Brock?

Who cares about the rest of the roster, 99% of them have been booked to be Cena's bitches (except for Punk) for 7-8 years.  If you can't beat Cena, who cares about the rest of the roster?

It's storytelling 101 and you obviously don't get that.

    ReplyDelete
  29.  Who was crawling on theri hands and knees out of the ring and who was holding a mic in the ring chatting?  Yeah, Brock didn't win the war, the match, or the battle.

    ReplyDelete
  30. But Grandpa, context!  You're missing context!  He got hit with a chain.

    /end sarcasm.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Here's another example from a show that I think has been doing wrestling storylines better than WWE the past couple of years: Spartacus. Spartacus is a brash young babyface challenger who rushes his way into facing the champion Crixus in like the second episode. Does Spartacus win? No, of course not, because then there's nothing to build to. No, he loses due to not being ready, and has to scratch and claw his way back into respectability before he gets his shot at redemption.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I agree...unless they have something drastic planned Brock should have gone over. SuperCena strikes again! zzzz...

    ReplyDelete
  33. I made the same point in the live thread, she should have been cheering for "Phil!" not Punk and this is 2012 not 1993 and we know his real name isn't "CM Punk."

    ReplyDelete
  34. How many times in UFC have you seen one guy dominate a whole match, but makes one little mistake and gets "caught". That's what happened to Brock tonight, dominated a whole match, but got caught with a chain to the face and AA onto smooth sto--er, steel steps. It wasn't like Cena went 5MOD on him, he got Brock coming in carelessly with the chain, then took the opportunity for the AA. It doesn't make Brock look bad, it makes Cena look lucky, which happens pretty often in MMA. Heck, that almost echoes Lesnar/Mir I when Lesnar dominated until he made a inexperienced mistake; call it ring rust for his kayfabe WWE return. So in a weird way, it has that legitimacy feel.

    ReplyDelete
  35.  I disagree - this was absolutely SuperCena at his finest. Gets the shit kicked otu of him by a monster opponent. Hits a couple signature moves and picks up the pinfall. Could have been Mark Henry out there. A waste of Lesnar, IMO, and a prime example of SuperCena.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wrong, that was MMA, apples and oranges.  Did fans of MMA care that he jobbed to Goldberg in his last match when he was WHC?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Honest-to-god thought going through my head during the main event:  HHH (who was on the phone earlier and there was also a hint about a superstar returning that hadn't been seen since WM) interferes to defend the WWE and it turns into a gigantic HHH vs. Johnny feud (again). This also naturally would have buried the locker room but hey.

    Thank goodness that didn't happen

    ReplyDelete
  38. OK let me point out something else then; Despite what you and Key think, Cena was NOT "SuperCena" here.  He got his ass kicked and only won the match by bashing Lesnar in the head with a chain and dropping him full force on the ring steps with his finish.  Lesnar didn't take Cena seriously and that was his undoing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. That actually makes jobbing him even dumber.

    ReplyDelete
  40.  They said he wouldnt take help from the medics and he also got beaten with a chain. Cena doesnt come away with a clean win here at all. Brock toyed with him the whole time and had him pinned.

    ReplyDelete
  41. That is kind of a whole different line of argument. If Lesnar has no "it factor" - and I am not sure he does - than he wasn't worth the money. If they are going to spend this kind of money, on the assumption that Lesnar can pull in more viewers, then they should book him as such. This way, they have essentially said that the investment they put into Lesnar was not enough to put him clean over Cena. Oh well, the match still ruled it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. My internet went down today. Terrible fucking timing. That is the first thing I'm doing whenever it comes back on.

    ReplyDelete
  43. For the love of pete he WAS NOT SUPERCENA HERE.

    ReplyDelete
  44.  Yup, 100% agreed. Cena took everything Brock had and he was still standing. And making jokes. Makes no sense and does not make me interested in Brock.

    ReplyDelete
  45. John, you're missing the big picture and if you can't see it, then lets agree to disagree.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Super Cena NEVER sells.  Cena sold tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I agree with everyone else that Bryan/Sheamus was off the charts (4.5 or 4.75 stars), but I actually disliked Punk/Jericho. It picked up in the second half, granted, but neither of those guys are good enough at hardcore to hold my attention. I wish they had kept the angle simple and let them wrestle 1v1 w/ no stip. Maybe I'll change my tune on a second viewing, but I just don't think it was over 3 or 3.5 stars and definitely nowhere near Sheamus/Bryan.

  49. There is more than one way to skin a cat. And remember UFC did its biggest buyrate ever with Lesnar bloodthirsty with revenge in the main event. I'm firmly in the lets see how this plays out camp.

    ReplyDelete
  50.  We've all see a million matches where big bad heel has the face pinned only to lose at the end.  This is wrestling, usually the end result is what people remember the most.  Now, if Brock kills Cena dead on RAW sending him packing, you can fix that.  Otherwise, the guy you paid a shit ton of money to had his heat killed by a guy going on vacation.  Think about that.

  51. That would've been an excellent way for Lesnar to lose....later on. Much, much later on. Besides, this wasn't a wrestling match: this was a fight. This was exactly the match Lesnar needed to NOT lose: an all-out bloody brawl. Remember that Lesnar has been positioned, not as a superstar, but as an "ass-kicker". But in a match where there's no wrestling going on and it's all ass-kicking, he gets beat his first time out. That doesn't make for a very scary ass-kicker, now does it? Especially considering that we'd already seen guys take far larger punishment earlier in the night and still kick out. A chain shot and an AA does not impress me.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I think to salvage this, tomorrow night on Raw, Lesnar beats the living snot out of Cena sending him packing for a few months. I think WWE can save this.

    ReplyDelete
  53.  In Lesnar's first match in the UFC, he dominated and lost. DId people not pay to see him fight again after that?

Lesnar can say even though he lost, he put Cena on the shelf and he can run through the roster till he gets back and win the rematch setting up the trilogy.

    ReplyDelete
  54. It's more than just the result. People aren't going to discredit Brock just because he took a fluky loss. A chain shot and an AA may not impress you, but Brock beating the shit out of Cena for 20 minutes certainly impressed me.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Great show tonight and after that ending it looks like we're getting Punk-Lesnar for the title at next month's PPV, which means three great PPVs in a row for the first time since 2001.

It certainly looks like HHH and company have been rewatching the 2000-2001 PPVs lately and have figured out how to have great PPVs again.

Now if only the idiots running TNA started rewatching TNA's 2005-2006 PPVs so they could figure out how to have good shows period.

Overall, Extreme Rules was well worth the money and the show is so good that if I hadn't recorded it onto a DVD, I would've even bought the replay.
Hell, I still might do it, if we buy great shows like this, that might finally convince WWE to ditch their long-standing PG formula that has largely failed, hence why Rock and Brock were brought back in the first place.

  56. Maybe she "Punk" in the Clint Eastwood way...

  57.  MMA and wrestling are two different animals, one is a real sporting event and the other one is a choreographed worked sport with male soap opera and storytelling elements.

In wrestling, it matters that the big bad heel win the first encounter with the hero.  Look at every succesful movie and TV show as an example.

    ReplyDelete
  58.  You must not have seen the show... because it was anything but a clean job.  He hit him with a chain and an AA on the steel steps!  Brock dominated him through and through, but got caught and lost.  Plus they actually got the Chicago crowd behind Cena by the end of the match, so they deserve all the credit in the world for pulling that off.  I thought it was a tremendous match and story, and there's a ton of money in Brock because he has a natural charisma to be a monster heel that will make people pay to see him get his.

Would it have been better if he were undefeated for a while?  Yes.  Was this a bad finish?  No way.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Did I say Cena was SuperCena? I did not (although the "Hi mom!" nonsense was annoying). I'm saying that the ass-kicker Lesnar lost an ass-kicking contest as his first move out of the gate. That's a terrible way to establish an ass-kicker, and they NEEDED to establish him as an ass-kicker. They didn't need him to get caught by some mistake: they needed him to plow through Cena, plow through Punk, plow through Orton, plow through EVERYONE, kill referees, knock out announcers, cause mayhem and chaos and have people pray for someone, anyone, to come stop this beast....until one guy steps up and does it.

Now you can't do that story, because Lesnar's been stopped. So what now? Cena's apparently gone. And Lesnar, no matter who he beats, can't replace Cena as the face of the company since he LOST to him and thus the fans can just wait knowing Cena will come back and take care of things. It's called tension, and all of it is now gone with Lesnar.

    ReplyDelete
  60.  What about Over the Limit 2011? Miz similarly beat Cena to a pulp and then succumbed to a 3 move comeback. To me, this booking was virtually identical. Yeah...Miz and Lesnar shouldn't be booked the same way.

  61. The Love-Matic Grandpa!April 29, 2012 at 10:04 PM

Two completely different animals. UFC fans accept the idea of a guy losing via "mistake" in his first match. In WWE, when you lose clean in the middle after being hyped up as much as Brock was, that pretty much turns you into just another guy on a roster full of them. Turning him into the Miz ("I beat Cena at Wrestlemania!") certainly doesn't help his case, especially since Cena clearly walked out under his own power.

    ReplyDelete
  62. The upside of removing blading, et al.: When Cena got busted open and started spilling over the mat, and it wasn't from a blade job, it felt like spectacle, unlike 2003 where you couldn't go a show without someone doing the razor.

    ReplyDelete
  63.  I came away from this event with the memory of seeing what looked like a UFC match at first. I will always remember this not as a Super Cena win but the match where I saw Cena take some very real elbows and some other very real shots. WWE succeeded in getting John some respect tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Very good observation I actually was thinking this too.. but I still think Flair4dagold is right, in retrospect if Cena is going away and Brock is the investment for the next year... you gotta put Brock over, because you run the risk of killing his aura. I still think they can salvage this by Lesnar beating the snot out of Cena tomorrow night in frustration on Raw.

    ReplyDelete
  65. "There is no money in a Lesnar/Cena rematch after Cena returns because he won already."

UFC did its biggest buyrate ever for a rematch between Lesnar/Mir after the first fight Mir got lucky after Lesnar dominated him. Sound familar

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yes, as a matter of fact, they will. Lesnar beats Cena tonight, and it's "Oh hell, NOW what do we do? Who can possibly beat this guy if our best guy couldn't do it?" As played, it's "Well, he may be a UFC guy, but he's clearly beatable, so no worries."

    ReplyDelete
  67. I don't disagree, OTL '11 was Super Cena to a T.  Difference here was the blood, the arm injury, and the stoppages.  The fluke ending just had a different feel.  He still channeled his inner Super Cena but not nearly as bad as in prior matches.  Just my opinion

    ReplyDelete
  68. It was kinda like in WCW when Kimberly used to refer to Diamond Dallas Page as "Page", which is his real-life first name, but sounded weird because it was the character's last name.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Those are all good points, and I loved the match BTW, but defend Cena who's going on vacation winning - even by luck as some are saying?  At the end of the day, this is wrestling and storytelling and no one can convince me that it made sense.

    ReplyDelete
  70.  But he put him on the shelf. Brock isnt here to win or lose matches, hes here to bring the pain. He didnt win the match but he is now the face of Raw thanks to Cena being sent packing. Wasnt that what he wanted all along?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Or Summerslam 2010 when Cena was getting killed by Barrett and another Nexus only to pull two supermoves at the end and win.  Same kind of shit.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Uh, what?

-It was an Extreme Rules match. A chain shot and an AA on some steps isn't exactly Kurt Angle tossing Shane McMahon through a bunch of glass windows onto his head. If you do beat someone like that, though, it's well within the rules, so it's absolutely clean as a sheet.

-Why would you think there's a ton of money in Brock being a monster heel that the people will pay to see get his if he's already just gotten his? Beating the hell out of Cena and yet still losing is about as comeuppey as it gets.

    ReplyDelete
  73. To everyone saying that Cena didn't win clean:

Did they ever mention, once, after Punk starting his current main event run, that when he beat Cena twice, that he won one match because Cena got distracted by Ace trying to ring the bell, and the other match because Triple H didn't see Cena's foot on the rope?

Nope (besides Jerry Lawler in the lead up to Summerslam saying that Punk isn't as good as Cena).

You think they're going to mention Cena won only because of a chain?

    Nope.

    ReplyDelete
  74.  I guess I just really enjoyed Lesnar being so dominant. The look of legitimate fear on the face of the family sitting ringside decked out in Cena gear was priceless. You don't get honest reactions from adults like that very often. I just think it would have been more effective to send everyone home shocked that Cena got DESTROYED and that his comeback (SuperCena or otherwise) didn't work this time.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Not only that, chains were legal, so by definition it was clean.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Wouldn't Cena winning by a fluke small package, taking a post-match ass-kicking and being stretchered out send the message better? I mean, they did the exact same thing last year with Taker and HHH and the fluke submission. Had this match been the final blow off to their feud, Cena's "I just went through a war, and now I'm going to Disneyland" speech would have been perfect. Here, the message had to be sent a bit more clearly, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  77. [Just gonna repost this:]

Storytelling 101: The hero overcomes the villain at the END of the story!

Seriously, that was one of the most bone-headed moves I've ever seen,
and that's saying something considering how they seemingly make more
and more bone-headed moves with each passing year.

That said, from a strictly in-ring point-of-view, that was an AWESOME show. The three big matches all delivered in spades.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Or, he could've won and said that he beat the absolute tippy top guy WWE has, and so everybody else better watch the hell out, because the pain is coming.

Which do you think would be more effective?

    ReplyDelete
  79. So...You are saying Lesnar is the face here? And we are supposed to root for his revenge?

    ReplyDelete
  80.  Not to nitpick, but Cena/Punk last year proved PG isn't the problem. But, I agree, great string of PPVs. They're figuring their shit out, for the most part.

    ReplyDelete
  81. UFC is real and the who wins can be unpredictible.  It's not the same analogy with pro wrestling especially since Lesnar is the heel.  You never saw a heel get destroyed by Hogan before going into a program with him?  Why, you needed to set up tension and the possibility that he could lose.

If Cena is back in 3 months and Lesnar goes over then to set up a Lesnar-Cena III, then even though you're booking this ass backwards, they can salvage it.

And yeah, I agree with you that Cena-Lesnar would totally draw.  I'd pay for it just to see another crazy fucking brawl.

They already saw him "get his" tonight, though. That's the whole point. And since Cena/Brock was clearly promoted as a "extreme rules" match, I don't see how Cena hitting him with a chain and then pinning him with his move can be considered anything but clean. If Cena had shot him with a cannon and then dropped a house on him? Sure, that might be a bit dirty. But tonight was business as usual with Cena and his typical winning ways. They didn't even give Brock the courtesy of the HHH/Undertaker ending where both guys are down-and-out after going through a war, because Cena just had to cut a promo. WRITING~!

    ReplyDelete
  86. That is very true and that actually applies to TNA now where they've gotten so desperate and pathetic with the bladejobs at every show, thinking it makes them look like legitimate competition to WWE, like seriously if blading at every show for no reason is what it takes to compete with WWE, then CZW would have overtaken WWE by now.

But the bleeding tonight sums up the difference between blood adding to the story that's being told in the ring and blading yourself for no reason other than thinking you'll get a better quarter-hour rating off of it.

    ReplyDelete
  87. True, but all those "real elbows" weren't enough to the get the job done; Cena could have lost the match and still taken all those shots. Plus, wouldn't it have given more credibility to those shots if they actually, ya know, were the deciding factor?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Anyone catch Michael Cole name-dropping Owen when talking about IC champs?

As a testament to how awesome Big Show is with his reactions to things, for a split second when he stepped through the table and had the "oh shit!" look on his face, I thought "oh crap, that wasn't supposed to happen!"

Normally I either watch the PPV with some friends or go to a sports bar, but wasn't able to do either this evening (friends weren't available, and I didn't want to subject myself to the completely obnoxious fans at the sports bar I would have gone to), so I plunked down the money to watch it at home. WWE earned my money this evening.

Also, not sure if he'd done it yet in WWE, but I noticed Bryan held up his hand and said, "I've got till 5!" at one point during his match.

Not sure how I feel about Cena going over.  It was quite a spectacle to watch, but honestly, whenever Cena was on offense, it felt more exposed to me.  Maybe it's a result of Brock looking less choreographed out there than Cena (which perhaps added to the realism), but Cena doing things like waving his hand in front of his face and doing his "hulking rage head and neck shake" cheapened things and just reinforced the cartoony nature of Cena's current character.

I thought the 2/3 falls match was great, but please, if anyone in WWE has a mind to put Sheamus in a 60 min iron man match, DON'T.  At least not until he gets his conditioning better.  It was obvious that he was gassed even without Booker T mentioning it for dramatic effect.

I love the title on Punk.  He's had it for almost 6 months now!  That's damn near an eternity in this day and age.  And it's been a strong reign.

Also noticed the Terminator graphic in Ryback's tron video.  Would that be something that's copyrighted, or is the concept too general a design?

Couldn't help but notice that Eve specifically said that Nikki's opponent wasn't Kharma.  Gotta keep us smarks in check!

And dear Randy: you're officially mid-card now. And you'll like it.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Anyone think they might go the Dusty Finish route on RAW tomorrow? Have Johnny Ace come out and strip Cena of the win, since he pinned Brock on top of the steps and not the mat. Then he demands they restart the match right there, Brock finishes the demolition, and they send Cena packing.

It works with everything but Cena's weird promo. How I'd book it anyway. Then again, if I was booking that wouldn't have been the finish tonight, so not likely.

    ReplyDelete
  90. True, but "CM Punk", quite clearly, is a nickname; no reason that his sister couldn't have been calling him by said nickname. It's not like when a guy is given a stage-name that is portrayed as real, such as referring to Darren Young as "Fred".

    ReplyDelete
  91. So....you're saying I'm closing the debate on whether or not being beaten disqualifies you from being unbeatable? Is that a debate you particularly want to open?

  92. Stop trolling.

  95. I find it amazing that people are defending Lesnar losing by saying "Oh, but Lesnar totally has a good excuse for having lost!" Why in the world would you want Brock F'N Lesnar running around making excuses for losses? Why would you want Brock Lesnar telling people "Yeah, I lost, but I beat that guy up real bad?" Does that not lead to the obvious retort "Well, apparently you didn't beat him up bad enough."?

Just because you CAN throw up a defense for something doesn't mean that you should.

  98. are you angry cause i was right?

    ReplyDelete
  99. WWE.com just posted a story about John Cena's arm being "injured". I imagine this ties into what they have for Lesnar, in which he'll probably go "LOL I ain't even mad" on RAW and say it was never about the win but about simply beating the piss out of Cena and putting him on the shelf.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I'm a little surprised by all of these comments poo-pooing the finish.  This was a fluke win for Cena.  Other than some punches, he may have had about 3 or 4 offensive moves the whole match.  He sold like he was HBK or Ricky Morton for most of the match.  I was impressed by Cena's work.

I admit that it is more logical to have Lesnar go over for the sake of the overall story.  However, it still makes sense not to completely annihilate the Cena character.  You can't sell multiple dream matches/superfights with the same guy (Cena) if he's going to lose each one.  I think it just makes a Cena-Lesnar rematch hotter than ever.

This "sky is falling" crap doesn't take.  Lesnar's a monster.  He could be set up for a title match at the next PPV and be considered a favorite to win it.  Ultimately, this was a great PPV with the top 3 matches hovering around 4 stars for the story they told and/or the athleticism displayed.

    ReplyDelete
  101. They're also completely different storylines. Lesnar was a rookie to UFC in the Mir match. He then improved and became champion, at which point he had to go back and beat the veteran who beat him the first time.

That has nothing to do with this storyline, which is a champion in all that he does ass kicker coming in looking to be the new face of the WWE and run total unstoppable roughshod over it....except that there's no roughshod. He just loses. Now he's definitely stoppable.

    ReplyDelete
  102. lol, you're funny.  I've been watching wrestling for 30 some odd years, I don't get mad and it was a helluva match.

You, on the other hand, are trolling hard.  But hey, if this is still real to you, have at it; but this isn't really the blog to do what you're doing.  If you have nothing to contribute, then maybe you should find another avenue.  Just saying.

    ReplyDelete
  103. So all it takes is 3 or 4 offensive moves to put Lesnar down. And yet he's supposed to be a monster?

Also, why in the world would I want to see Lesnar beat Punk for the title now? I mean, all that "Cena is the top guy!" talk hasn't been doing Punk (you know, the actual Champion) any favors, but if Lesnar had beaten Cena, then a match with Punk could've had some real weight behind it as Punk would've been a huge underdog. Now if Punk loses, he'll just be the Not Top Dog who couldn't get done what Cena could. And Lesnar STILL won't be "The Guy" as champion, because "The Guy" is clearly Cena. Or the Rock, but in other words, NOT Lesnar.

    ReplyDelete
  104. "Why would you want Brock Lesnar telling people "Yeah, I lost, but I beat that guy up real bad?""
    --

Because he's a hired gun from Johnny Ace and not a wrestler? I imagine (or I guess "hope" is the better word) that they have an idea for Lesnar to not give him the win tonight. He'll probably come out and just gloat about making Superman bleed. Sure, he may have lost, but which poor fool will tell him that to his face? The WWE is short-sighted often (ok, very often), but there probably is an endgame to it if they weren't gonna pull the trigger. I'll take a wait-and-see with where they're this before condemning it, that's all.

    ReplyDelete
  105. In retrospect, starting Brock out with the tippy top guy is a mistake. If he beats Cena, who else is there for him to beat thats credible?

    ReplyDelete
  106. That hired gun left the ring defeated, bleeding and on his hands and knees.  Not exactly the hitman I'd want to hire.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Hey, at least you admit that it was more logical to have Lesnar win.  Of course the "sky isn't falling", but it's just another booking move in a long line of them going back many years that just didn't make sense.

"A millionaire who should be a billionare."

    ReplyDelete
  108.  That would be terrible. I think they need Brock to just start destroying everybody that he walks past. Heels, faces, refs, interviewers, Otunga. All of em.

    ReplyDelete
  109. i don't understand how i'm trolling people who were happy about punk winning weren't called trolls.  and people who were happy about rock winning at wrestlemania werent called trolls.  is it because i like john cena and no one else does?  that doesn't seem fair.

    ReplyDelete
  110. More importantly, Lesnar's stated goal was to replace Cena as the face of the company. I'd say the threat of that happening is close to zero now.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I guess it's time to start filming the next Marine movie.

    ReplyDelete
  112. "That hired gun left the ring defeated, bleeding and on his hands and knees.  Not exactly the hitman I'd want to hire."

I have a feeling Johnny Ace may share a similar sentiment.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I don't recall people typing what you did, but I missed those threads.

However, you typing, "are you angry cause I was right?"  That's trolling 101.  I would venture that's not going to work on folks around here, so if you want to stick around, I'd knock that off and have a normal discussion.

If you're a big Cena fan, I'm happy for you.  I like Cena, he's a hell of a wrestler and he took some MANLY elbows tonight, that takes balls because they were real.  I just think it's a completely dumb way to tell a story.

    ReplyDelete
  114. You do realize this is a predetermined show right? Like, Cena was scripted to win?

    ReplyDelete
  115. Yeah...I'm very curious as to how this will play out tomorrow.  Dissappointed in the direction, but I'll stick with it, it's not earth breaking...it's wrestling :-)

Still, I DVR'd the show while I was watching, hard to follow with the live thread, lol.  I'll be rewatching it again, it was awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Yeah, you're right. Brock should just destroy everyone but the guy who beat him in his first match back; none of whom are perceived at the same level as said guy. That will definitely make everyone forget that he couldn't beat a guy who lost to A-Train a couple weeks ago. That way Cena can return to end his reign of terror, and get revenge for already beating him. But if he beats up enough refs, interviewers, and Otunga, I'm sure people will plop down their money to see him get his comeuppance just the same.

    ReplyDelete

  127.  Did you watch the match?  Lesnar looked and acted monstrous.  He beat the crap out of Cena for about 15 minutes straight in brutal fashion.  Lesnar then gets arrogant, gets hit with steel objects, and gets a fluke loss.

When Diesel lost by a fluke to Bret in '95, he came out the next night looking badder than ever.  What will Brock do next COULD be an engaging storyline and perhaps more original than "big dude runs over the entire company for a year before losing at Wrestlemania."  Remember, they have a whole year to play with Brock.

And didn't Cena just lose a huge superfight and yet we still wanted to see this one?  Same applies for Lesnar.  Due to his look, his personality, and his history, he will always be a threat.

I'm not knocking the argument that Lesnar should've won.  It would've worked.  But I'm still intrigued by the other outcome.

  131. After seeing that match, I will pay to see Brock wrestle again. Believe me, going in I thought it would be ridiculous if Cena won, but I think the execution was good enough where it won't kill Brock down the road.

I think it's also being overlooked that they actually got Cena cheered after years of trying... a Herculean feat in Chicago. So yes, given that fact, Brock winning would've been smarter because Cena has more sympathy upon his return, but I enjoyed the match so much that I didn't mind the finish.

Also if we're going to bicker about what's clean in a no dq match, don't that Brock scored a visual pin after the F5 that took out Charles Robinson.

  133. Yeah the more and more I think about it...there's just no excuse. Cena losing and winning later is such easy money. I have no idea how they'll justify this.

For me it was fun in a weird Hogan/Andre way because that's how my kids took it. Their dad has been telling them for FOUR WEEKS that there is NO WAY John Cena would win. The difference is, of course, that Hogan beating Andre made sense, and made a metric fuck-ton of money.

  134. I think this argument would work best if (1) Lesnar wasn't wrestling his first match back, (2) You didn't invest millions on the guy and most importantly, (3) Cena wasn't going on vacation.

Point 3 is the most important of the bunch.  There is no excuse for this type of booking, you had the Rocky 3 storyline right there.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I can see both sides here re: outcome of Cena/Brock.

I, along with 99% of you, figured Brock was winning the match. But I find it funny people are so pissed when a LOT (not all, but a lot) of us were bemoaning the number of jobs Cena had done recently (semi-clean twice to Punk and once to Tensai, clean to Rock). There's no shame in losing to John Cena (or losing to Brock Lesnar). Had this been a match with Punk I would have thought differently, but Cena's on another level.

In defending WWE for this I'd use 2 major points: 1. The story could be Cena leaving, Brock wins the title and dominates, then Cena comes back for the rematch. If Brock murders Cena here there won't be as much intrigue for the rematch, which I assume Cena would lose since it appears Rock is going to be the guy at the end of the road for Brock.

And 2. to be fair to Vince, Brock is a wildcard who could flake out at any moment. Maybe this result is a way of hedging their bets in case he splits abruptly. It would suck to plan out a storyline where Brock plows through your entire main event, only to have him walk out before he gets beat. If anybody would do that, it's Brock Lesnar. This way, Cena gets a (fluky) early win, Brock can dominate and they're covered a little better if he leaves them high and dry.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't the result I would've booked, but I can definitely see the other side.

And we should probably tune in to Raw to see where this is going. (insert Zack Ryder joke here)

  138. I can totally buy where the mark-out came from. It was such a well put together match. I remember being actually concerned that Cena was just gonna get squished without any real comeback. He sold it so well and Lesnar cut him off perfectly. This would have been a ***** feud ender. The match was worth the markout, I just wish it was happening 9 months from now.

  139. "I just wish it was happening 9 months from now."

    Exactly.

    We were?  News to me.

  142. I bet this will be a case where Scott makes a post on Monday about how busy he got with other stuff and the rant will be coming later in the week once he gets a chance to watch the show. :)

  146. Hey.

So how 'bout that Bryan match huh?

I liked that armbar/pinning combo. And also that other armbar. And the arm-breaker. And also the YES!

    ReplyDelete
  147. Jericho is gonna cry plagiarism at Bryan using half of his 1,004 holds

    ReplyDelete
  148. It's too bad that the whole "this is real and everything else you're watching is fake" thing is so played out because I would have loved to have seen the following happen as a result of this...

Tomorrow night near the end of the show Cena comes out and does his chatting.  Lesnar comes out, Cena talks to him and waits for Lesnar to respond as if they're supposed to have a scripted conversation.

    Either
    a) Lesnar says something along the lines of "You beat me last night in a fake fight, but this is for real John"
    b) Lesnar says nothing at all

but either way, Lesnar starts beating the living crap out of Cena instead - and shortly thereafter you see John Laurinitus, HHH, *everyone* pouring out of the locker room racing out, something that makes this look like things got way out of hand, Lesnar is unstable, etc. etc.  Keep Lesnar off of TV until the next PPV, where he runs in on the WWE title match and destroys both CM Punk and the challenger.

Admittedly I would've liked it better with Lesnar nearly killing Cena tonight and winning but I don't mind the other scenario, but it really only works as its own self-contained storyline as it would wreck every other match for all time ("well who cares about cm punks match when Lesnar 'really' destroyed Cena").  But a man can dream. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  149. Another thing no one has thought about post-Brock loss, where does Punk go now?

I guess Brock right? If Cena leaves?

    ReplyDelete
  150. Where do I send m $55?

    ReplyDelete
  151. That seems like the logical next step.

I feel bad for Punk, conventional wisdom says Lesnar trounces him, although we thought the same thing about Cena...

Maybe Vince hired Brock to have him job to all his top guys as revenge for leaving.  Vince is that petty.

    ReplyDelete
  152. When Brock came back and they booked the match with Cena (where everyone assumed Cena would job) there were people expressing reservations about Cena potentially jobbing too much. They felt that beating John Cena would lose its impact if it happened too often. Then the same points were made when he lost to Tensai.

Read the live thread/Scott's Rant for those episodes and you'll see what I'm referring to.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Like you said man...it seems crazy but so did purposely tanking the Invasion...lol....

    ReplyDelete
  154. I guess we can all look back now and make sense why they jobbed Cena to Albert.  We should've seen this coming, it just never entered my train of thought because it's so dumb.  I will say Jabber, you made the best points thus far as to why this decision was made imo.

    ReplyDelete
  155. As Flair said, you've made a real good case. It's weird now because going by sports logic, Albert can now beat Brock Lesnar...lol.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I like your new screen name, JesseBaker.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Read somewhere that they've got Brock-Orton penciled in for SummerSlam. So if that's the case, yeah, it seems like Punk has to be next. But with Brock not being around every week and every PPV, I'm thinking they might hold off until NWO in June, or MITB in July. They could always move Tensai up to challenge Punk for a month or two before they feed him to Brock. That way they'd at least be able justify putting Tensai over Cena too.

    ReplyDelete
  158. As I mentioned in another thread, I feel kind of bad for Punk. I don't feel like he's really had the chance to run with things. Cena still does all the maineventing and now he gets to pass the title to Brock. I hope, at least, that he doesn't get reshuffled.

    ReplyDelete
  159. It sucks too because without all of this Rock/Brock stuff the natural story would have been ALL Punk/Cena through the fall and winter of last year. Those two have some weird *relative* Austin/Rock kind of chemistry but they're never allowed to interact because Cena's always out there in "special attraction" land.

Punk's tribute to Savage might be a little bit deeper than we ever gave credit for, he might be the guy that always gets fucked at the expense of the "draw".

    ReplyDelete
  160. Why should any smart fan boo Cena now?  Last year he had an awesome match with Punk.  Tonight, he took a beating from Lesnar that very few people would willingly accept.

Cena is one tough SOB that carries his weight in the ring.  Ragging on Cena now is a mark reaction, not a smart one.

    ReplyDelete
  161. In retrospect, I think they got it backwards. Cena should have gone over the Rock and then been destroyed by Lesnar.

    ReplyDelete
  162. You're right.  30 minutes later and it's still not out!

  164. I'd love nothing more than for Punk to be booked as a legitimate player with Brock, Cena, Rock, etc., but I just can't see it happening. To me, the best case scenario for Punk is that he drops the WWE championship to Brock at No Way Out in June, gets drafted to Smackdown the same month (with Orton switching to RAW), beats ADR for the World Heavyweight championship at SummerSlam, and feuds with Bryan, Christian, and Cody through Wrestlemania.

    ReplyDelete
  165. It ain't happening, people.  Go to sleep!

  166. Watch Top Gear In Stead! *clap slap fap fap fap*

    ReplyDelete
  167. Scratch that. Well, the last bit. I'd still send him to Smackdown, and have him run through those same guys, but I wouldn't put the WHC on him right away. He's already done the long, fighting champion reign. I'd give him the long, proper babyface build he's never really had. Slow burn a feud with Bryan where he's always intermittently getting one over on Punk, but ducking him in the ring. Have Punk win the Rumble, and finally beat Bryan for the WHC at Wrestlemania in a 30-minute (since they wouldn't give them 60) Iron Man match. And give Bryan a nice long reign from at least Survivor Series (if not SummerSlam) on, so it actually means something.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I think if enough random assholes like us keep screaming for a Bryan/Punk Iron Man they might actually do it. Why not? There's only one real PPV now...

    YES!

    ReplyDelete
  169. Punk said in an interview a few weeks ago that he felt he could stretch his feud with Jericho over 3 or 4 PPV matches.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Sherlock Trollmes says, this guy probably knows what THE TRUTH IS.

    ReplyDelete
  171. I mean, people always say that but I don't get it. I assume the people who call that sports logic don't actually watch sports, because if Team A beats Team B, and Team B beats Team C, there's no guarantee that A will beat C. I get what you're saying but no sport I have ever seen, ever, follows that logic. I grant you that something like boxing is closer, but even there you'll see guys with different styles that can dominate one guy but get their ass kicked by another, "inferior" guy.

    ReplyDelete
  172. What? That's why it's *sports logic* it's not supposed to be logical. Err...I drank that whole PPV I dunno.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Isn't Tensai suppose to be Johnny's hired bodyguard or something like that and face Punk soon?

    ReplyDelete
  174. To be accused of Jesse, wouldn't I have had to suggest Cena, Brock or both getting their legs broken and/or raped, and eventually finding out this was all some Machiavellian plot by the Rock?

    ReplyDelete
  175. *cue Michael Jackson*

    SOMEBODY'S WAAATCHING ME!

    ReplyDelete
  176.  Exactly, Cena is never allowed to show weakness. It's like the WWE is afraid if he looks weak the kids won't like him. Cena took a beating the entire match and should have lost the match clean. Having Cena go over Brock just killed Brock dead. After thirty plus year watching this is the final straw and they've killed my interest. It's even more pathetic because with Cena leaving a loss would've played into the story perfectly. Stupid booking pure and simple, and there is no reasonable way to defend Cena winning this match,

    ReplyDelete
  177.  Point 3 IS the most important of the bunch; I agree, 100%.  It's strange booking.  I feel like it was important to throw Cena fans a bone if he was going on vacation, but at what cost?  I'm still intrigued by what happened to Brock... but you know where that puts me?  In the "Wait and See" Camp!  The "Wait and See" Camp loses 9 times out of 10 when it comes to WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  178.  Maybe while Cena's on his vacation he can go to UFC and win their title just because he's so invincible. This whole match was great till the end, and Cena's little speech at the end was like the final slap in the face of anyone who thought Brock was going to win. I'm so glad I don't pay for this crap anymore, SuperCena has ruined the business worse then anyone else. No one can make Cena look bad, as he always comes back in the end hits his one move and wins. Wish he would just disappear from wrestling for good.
