Whoever had 4 weeks in the pool, you win. Bizarre, especially since they already taped the NXT championship tournament for the next run. I guess we'll see what airs here in Canada on Wednesday.
Unless something has changed, it airs on Thursdays here in Canada.
ReplyDeleteWednesday, Thursday, same thing.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they need more bodies for the 3 hour Raws?
ReplyDeleteCan't read the article so not sure exactly what it says. The timing is surprising, especially considering they're essentially just throwing their FCW guys in front of a camera...I wouldn't have thought producing it would cost much. They didn't even remotely care about getting it aired in the US (even online), so I kind of just assumed it was cheap to make and they didn't really care if ratings/viewers were high.
ReplyDeleteI call b**shit, or at least some sort of misunderstanding. Didn't Scott also post about the Mark Twain-like death of FCW a couple of months back?
ReplyDeleteYes...and FCW was killed off to do the new NXT show. I'm not really sure what your point is there.
ReplyDeleteThe article says that WWE didn't deliver a new episode of NXT to the station in Florida that had been airing it.
ReplyDeleteSo will it air anywhere or just not in Canada?
ReplyDeleteThat sucks. I actually PVR it each week since, y'know, actual interesting stuff tends to happen. Castagnoli and Hero given actual TV time? What a concept! Next thing you know, they'll book them as a tag team. Oh, but that's just too plain nutty.
ReplyDeleteThanks Scott. Thats weird...I wonder if it is cancelled then, or if, to be honest, it just slipped through the cracks and someone forgot. I don't get the impression they care that much. Hell, if you want proof of that, JIM ROSS is on the show, and we know WWE only uses him when they need someone to make fun of. If he's actually calling matches down there, they really must not be paying attention to it.
ReplyDeleteIt's nothing to do with Canada. The show that airs in Canada is just a re-broadcast of the program that originates on the channel in Florida. So as noted, if they put it on TV up here and on the website as usual then they might just be abandoning that one station where it airs in the US. But it's gotta be inconceivable that someone could FORGET to send in a TV show after taping 4 weeks of episodes.
ReplyDeleteThe New NEW Nexus is upon us.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Genesis of McGillicutty....yes....this.....THIS IS IT.....will finally take place.
If that's Hennig's idea of Genesis, I'd rather be listening to "Invisible Touch".
Maybe on Monday, Slater will lose to yet another legend, then snap and remember his OWN legendary contribution to Raw history, and bring out a new Nexus (made up of current NXT guys) to beat that legend down.
ReplyDeleteHeck, now that I think about it, Barrett, Otunga, Gabriel, Ryan, McGillicutty and Big Zeke aren't doing anything. They could just reform the old Nexus and call it a day.
I do not want Mason Ryan on my tv screen. He is going to kill somebody with his sloppiness.
ReplyDeleteIf they're filling that extra hour with more wrestling, than it's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI guess you only follow the major leagues, because FCW is still going strong.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.fcwwrestling.info/index2.html
Which was my point.
I'd love it, I'd love it, I'd love it.
ReplyDeleteThey don't have ANY mileage whatsoever. These guys could dominate Smackdown and make that a can't miss program, then bleed into Raw where each of these heels can win a championship and prove to be the monster machine that faces like Cena, Ryder, Punk, and Kofi have to fight off.
Never gonna happen. :oP
or the WWE sends the Nexus out only to let them be destroyed by Ryberg.
ReplyDeleteYOU'RE HIRED.
ReplyDeleteFlorida isn't shit for this show. The show makes its money overseas.
ReplyDeleteI can't read the article but the Brighthouse network studio is all of 30 minutes from FCW headquarters so thapey can deliver tape and get it turned pretty quickly. FCW is the only non high-school sports programming on the Brighthouse network and everything this time of year is pre-taped so a quick turnaround isn't inconceivable.
ReplyDeleteSmart booking would have Slater - who's gotten over because of these legends bits - win tonight to give him instant cred.
ReplyDeleteBut it won't happen because smart booking doesn't exist in WWE.
Tag...team?
ReplyDeleteYou hope it's filled with wrestling but we all know it will be chock full of...sigh...sports entertainment.
ReplyDeleteNot the TV show.
ReplyDeleteThe TV Show just ended last weekened though. This WOULD have been the first week of NXT on Brighthouse. It's been airing internationally already for four weeks, but hasn't been on in Florida yet, since they still had FCW episodes to burn.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they just never intended it to go to Brighthouse?
No TV station in Florida had been airing the new NXT. The TV station in Florida had been airing the last episodes of the older FCW.
ReplyDeleteMore likely it will be a hour of social media bullshit.
ReplyDeleteI think the show just isn't going to air in the US. They're having another taping for the show on Thursday, so I think it will still be on in Canada and abroad.
ReplyDeleteMaybe. They don't seem like the most organized bunch to begin with.
ReplyDeleteNew RAW logo
ReplyDeletehttp://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/247631/WWE-Releases-New-Logo-For-Monday-Night-Raw.htm
Meet the new logo, same as the old logo
That's a real bummer. I was really enjoying this show and thought it was a good concept.
ReplyDeleteWOW THAT IS AN AWESOME LOGO.
ReplyDeleteHopefully we get a new theme song. Instead of Nickelback...THEORY OF A DEAD MAN. It's like Chad Kroeger without the expensive price tag!
I like how the NXT theme song is Coheed and Cambria's "Welcome Home." That's such a good album.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to point out - no episode of the new NXT has aired in America yet. Bright House has been airing the last episodes of the original FCW. NXT will most likely still be airing overseas, the only place it's aired thus far.
ReplyDeleteDraws good viewership on cable in Australia... So does Superstars and Vintage Collection... Funnily enough, Heat, Velocity, Shotgun and all the other 'b' and 'c' shows have drawn lots of viewers here...
ReplyDelete'Let's Stick Together' be Bryan Ferry?
ReplyDeleteScott just really wants any Florida based wrestling to fail.
ReplyDeleteThey announced on an FCW taping that they were folding into NXT, once they cleared out some obligated dates, IIRC. It's not a done deal yet, I guess. Some splinter organization will probably come about too, I'd bet, since as far as I know not all of the guys who were working in FCW were official "developmental" talent and were just contract workers for FCW to help train & flesh out the shows.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if their ex-drummer has the same dealer as most WWE guys.
ReplyDeletewhere in the fuck are you getting that from?
ReplyDelete
