Hey Scott,
I remember a few years back on the blog you were praising Dan Gheesling for his performance on Big Brother 10. Just curious if you're still watching the show, as he has returned to play in Big Brother 14.... and last night may have been one of the biggest strategic moves in the history of the show. Everything about that move was pure genius and amazing. Did you catch it and what were your thoughts?
Man, everything from the double elimination show last week has been AWESOME. I'm still cheering for Frank to win it all this year, but if Dan wins it for a second time I won't be sad either. Really, the guy in the best position right now is Joe, because either Frank or Dan is probably going to take him to the final two so they can win. Ian's a dark horse but he's burning bridges now, whereas Dan is a pure social player (as evidenced by the FUNERAL FOR DAN last night). Long as idiot Shane doesn't coast to the finale, we'll get a good winner this year. But yeah, it's been like a slow building ***** match this season, especially once Boogie got booted.
That is how you do a heel turn (or was it a face turn? Depends which side of the house you are rooting for I guess). I didn't like Frank at first but I'm beginning to "'preesh" him more and think he might have the best shot at winning if he can survive two weeks without playing in the HoH.
ReplyDeleteThe whole "Dan Funeral" has to be the greatest game move in BB history. It was such an out of the box idea that worked (unlike Boogy's fake tears speech to Britney). I have to say that Britney can't catch a break. First she was brought along just to be thrown away by the brigade and now this? Ouch!
ReplyDeleteFOURTEEN seasons of this idiocy? Holy shit!
ReplyDeleteBig Brother is one of those weird "blind spot" shows for me. I couldn't tell you anything about it, I don't even know what channel it's on. It's like a Tyler Perry movie, they're out there, but I have no knowledge of it.
I hate that I watch these shows, but once you start watching it it's over - you're hooked. The UK versions are brilliant, they've got the Celebrity one on now and you've got Situation from Jersey Shore fallen in love with an escort girl who can't stand him
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy Dan's move as well but the more I thought about, was it really THAT brilliant? All he had to do/did was throw the other alliance and Ian under the bus and he was safe.
ReplyDeletePrepare for many tyler Perry ads during the baseball playoffs.
ReplyDeleteFortunately for us Jersey Shore has been CANCELLED
ReplyDeleteNow if only eMpTyVee will do the same for The Real World
God I hate advertising packages sold for events like that. I distinctly remember during the...2003 Playoffs I think (Josh Beckett's career-making game against the Yankees, whichever year that was) they sold a HUGE chunk of ad time to a show called Skin.
ReplyDeleteLiterally every single ad break they'd have an ad for it and the ad would always end with the phrase: "I can't believe it! The DA's son and the pornographer's daughter!!!"
My shitty roommates at the time would smoke weed and HOWL at that commercial. Almost a decade later and I can still hear it.
If stupid Ichiro wasn't going to be showing up I wouldn't even watch this year.
Omg I remember the ads for that shitty show during football. The pornographers daughter dating the da's son...what a terrible idea. Every year its something even worse.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, they played it a lot during that football season too. I wonder what the line is between "Hey! We have to watch this new show because there's ad's all the time!" VS "Hey! Seriously Fox...FUCK YOU AND YOUR NEW SHOW I WILL NEVER EVER WATCH because there's ad's all the time!"
ReplyDeleteIs that fortunate? Or does it mean they'll all get spinoff's?
ReplyDeletePauly D's Dance Emporium Spectacular! Thursdays! MTV!
That is my feeling too. Yes it was a good move but it was the only move he had so how good was it? And then you had Julie comparing him to Paul Newman. Ugh.
