Awesome. Also, given the amount of Sesame Street I watch in my daily life now, I'm IMMENSELY glad they finally scrapped Elmo's World after 20 years of the same ones, because it wasn't in HD anyway and Mr. Noodle's Brother has been dead for quite a few years and it was just getting creepy.
ME ALWAYS HUNGRY.
I never thought I'd see this headline in a million years.
ReplyDeleteElmo is like the John Cena of Sesame Street. Love him or hate him you gotta respect his work ethic.
ReplyDeleteThe Claymation Bert and Ernie gets on my nerves now too, just because I grew up with them as muppets not as Orange and Yellow California raisins.
ReplyDeleteElmo's World was the only part of the show I could usually get Marley to even sit and watch, so that's kind of a bummer. The whole Mr. Noodle/Mr. Noodle's Brother Mr. Noodle thing was kind of a mindfuck though. Of course the whole idea of a Mr. Noodle is pretty creepy: he's a grown man who dances for Elmo, who's been clearly established in the show's canon as being 4 years old, through his bedroom window? Pedo-rific!
ReplyDeleteAt Sesame Place in PA, there is another Mr. Noodle on the Elmo's World live show. They call him Mr Noodle's Cousin Mr. Noodle.
ReplyDeleteIf you start writing SmarK Sesame Street rants, complete with star ratings for the individual skits, I will be a very happy panda.
ReplyDeleteThen this is *****

I thought Elmo was more like The Rock. Like Dwayne Johnson, he's bigger than THE BUSINESS that spawned him.
ReplyDeleteELMO THINKS YOU SHOULD KNOW YOUR ROLE AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH
ReplyDeleteBTW, if you guys have not seen the scene from "The Five Year Engagement" where Emily Blunt and Alison Brie have an argument while doing Cookie Monster and Elmo voices (Brie's daughter's in the room), you really should, it slayed me. The movie's meh, but that was almost worth the price of admission and it's probably on YT by now.
ReplyDeleteStarting with the Sesame Street 40th Anniversary DVD.
ReplyDeleteTickle My Strudel Elmo.
