(Spoiler alert) Ryback beats up Punk for 10 minutes, then Lesnar comes out from under the ring, F5s Ryback and Punk wins. Punk takes too much time celebrating his victory though and Ryback recovers, clothelines Lesnar out of the ring and Shellshocks Punk (with extended marching). Ziggler's music hits. He stares down Ryback in the aisle, enters the ring, hands over the briefcase and Zig-zags a groggy Punk just as he gets back to his feet. Ziggler wins the title. Then he salutes the fans and waves his hand in front of his face before pulling off his mask to reveal that he's actually John Cena. His music hits as he holds the title over his head, ratings skyrocket, and all is well in Titan-town again.
I will eat a bowl of Bran Flakes tomorrow morning if this isn't exactly what happens.
I can see this happening. But is there any way to have everyone in the ring, ref included take off their masks to reveal themselves as Cena? And borrow some of Kane's pyro budget and have the hard camera side of the cell burst into flames that form an image of Cena's face? Dark Knight Rises bat signal style?
Under no circumstances is Ziggler cashing in for a WWE title shot. With separate MitB briefcases, and the fact that they've already said several times that Dolph's briefcase can ONLY be cashed in on the WHC, such laziness really would be enough to make me turn on the product for good.
And Ryback ain't winning the title either. He's already ruined WWE Main Event, don't let him ruin everything else on top of that!
Well, Vickie DID just become General Manager Executive Vice President of Talent Relations Associate Junior Senior Sophomre of Raw, so I'd bet on Dolph using that to pull some strings to get a WWE title shot
I want to encourage them to have the entire roster of Superstars and Divas to run in and cause a no-contest for the main event, then break out into a Gangnam Style dance before fading to black.
If they weren't "PG", I could see Ryback just beating Punk to bloody pulp, only to have Punk snake a win somehow. Don't know if you can make it look brutal enough to keep Ryback superstrong and still be PG though.
It cant lead anywhere if Ryback wins the title with the long term booking they have in place best thing for Ryback to do is go after Big Show after he beats Sheamus tonight. Also there is no point in these cell matches in the pg era
Almost didn't watch the show because my gf is over but then decided you don't get enough epic sports nights with a hitc, the world series and a sunday night game with giant bod fantasy implications for me. I LOVE super sports nights
I think he was missing that spark before he got busted... which is why he was probably tokin' it up or whatever anyway. But yeah, you're right that he probably need to go heel if it's possible to smoothly re-train fans on his character.
Can you believe a fucking b-show ppv costs 60 bucks in hd? Seems a bit much but if you're gonna get it you might as well spend the extra 10 bucks for the hd
The angle just seems odd for a show they've so aggressively pushed as "family" entertainment, especially considering it involves their biggest draw for kids.
I'd like to say, "you get what you pay for," but I don't think that's the case at all. That's ridiculous. I can understand that type of price for a four-hour Wrestlemania, but not for freaking Hell in a Cell.
I actually like Team Hell No to not split, keep the belts and captain opposing teams at Survivor Series where the captain of the winning "team" gets to be the captain of Team Hell No, and then decide what matches they take on when and such.
Daniel's just so damn crisp. I'd like to see him throw a few more suplex's and what not to spice up his offence but i dont think he's capable of having a bad match.
I'm definitely sad they didn't give it more time. Its only 5:50 or so, and I think they only have four more matches booked. Don't get why that can't get more time?
3 week build to Survivor Series??? Jaysis! If it's gonna be that throw away at least give us a few old school SS elim matches. With some proper team names too!!!
Not to be that guy, but Ziggler's briefcase is BLUE and is for the World Heavyweight Championship, not the WWE Championship. It's been that way for the last 3 years.
It's not that Kofi/Miz have bad matches. Just we've seen it all before. There's nothing empirically wrong with this match but I'm just burned out on watching Kofi and Miz wrestle.
Well, Kofi could very well be the Steamboat of this generation. Full of energy and can use his style to work with everyone. He's been a face his entire career, too
Was just thinking the same thing, a very Steamboat-esque performance. It would be awesome to see him elevated to a feud with Punk with Punk playing up the Savage role with everything he's got.
The show's not till 8:00...early start!!!
ReplyDelete(Spoiler alert)

Should I buy it or not?
ReplyDeleteI can see this happening. But is there any way to have everyone in the ring, ref included take off their masks to reveal themselves as Cena? ReplyDeleteI won't blame you for streaming it
ReplyDeleteDo you want to encourage them to run with Ryback?
ReplyDeleteUp it to a bowl of Colon Blow and I'll take that bet!
ReplyDeleteUnder no circumstances is Ziggler cashing in for a WWE title shot. With separate MitB briefcases, and the fact that they've already said several times that Dolph's briefcase can ONLY be cashed in on the WHC, such laziness really would be enough to make me turn on the product for good.
ReplyDeleteAnd Ryback ain't winning the title either. He's already ruined WWE Main Event, don't let him ruin everything else on top of that!
Is this the first PPV since Wrestlemania with no YouTube pre-show match?
ReplyDeleteI want to encourage them to run with "not Cena."
ReplyDeleteWell, Vickie DID just become General Manager Executive Vice President of Talent Relations Associate Junior Senior Sophomre of Raw, so I'd bet on Dolph using that to pull some strings to get a WWE title shot
ReplyDeleteThe football game that's on is too good. I can't justify spending $50 on a mystery finish.
ReplyDeleteThat said, if the game is a blowout and it's interesting, maybe I get the replay...
I'd laugh my ass off if Show got another 45 second title reign.
ReplyDeleteI'm morbidly curious as to how they're going to No Contest themselves out of this corner.
ReplyDeleteI want to encourage them to have the entire roster of Superstars and Divas to run in and cause a no-contest for the main event, then break out into a Gangnam Style dance before fading to black.
ReplyDeleteThis PPV gets a zero buyrate in San Francisco.
ReplyDeletegood evening to everyone
ReplyDeleteIf they weren't "PG", I could see Ryback just beating Punk to bloody pulp, only to have Punk snake a win somehow. Don't know if you can make it look brutal enough to keep Ryback superstrong and still be PG though.
ReplyDeleteThis is not what I would have opened with. At all.
ReplyDeleteSuperplex off the cage knocks one or both of them out?
ReplyDeleteIt cant lead anywhere if Ryback wins the title with the long term booking they have in place best thing for Ryback to do is go after Big Show after he beats Sheamus tonight. Also there is no point in these cell matches in the pg era
ReplyDeleteBut it isn't escape rules, which is why this is such a hard call.
ReplyDeletegood evening
ReplyDeletedont think ortons been upto much since the got busted
ReplyDeleteI don't think Orton's really given a shit since he got busted.
ReplyDeletehow do you add a profile picture on disqus?
ReplyDeleteAlmost didn't watch the show because my gf is over but then decided you don't get enough epic sports nights with a hitc, the world series and a sunday night game with giant bod fantasy implications for me. I LOVE super sports nights
ReplyDeleteyou can conect to your facebook
ReplyDeleteGrinding gear button, edit settings, avatar, browse, upload pic
ReplyDeleteStop me if you've heard this one before: Del Rio's working the ARM!
ReplyDelete...keep goin', I'm following...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see that you have your priorities in order.
ReplyDeleteman this is new.
ReplyDeleteThat match against ziggler at the last ppv was awesome though
ReplyDeleteProbably a better finish than what they've come up with.
ReplyDeleteI love jbl on commentary but lets not mix in whc title reigns with wwe title reigns.
ReplyDeleteI see her more often that I get super sports sundays though
ReplyDeleteThe question isn't 'gf or sports', the question is whether Game 4 or HITC gets more attention?
ReplyDeleteor say that this match is bigger than HITC... JR corrected him on that pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteThis is Vince McMahon's world. We're not getting Gangnam Style for at least another two years.
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't sarcasm!
ReplyDeleteI have game 4 at -180 on the money line
ReplyDeleteremenber when the armbreaker was a DANGEROUS submission move
ReplyDeleteI do feel like we are good hands overall for the show with jr and jbl on the mic
ReplyDeleteIf she puts up with that tonight, she is a keeper
ReplyDeleteDo you also rip on Ric Flair for working on the LEG?
ReplyDeleteOh snap, Del Rio almost showed some personality there!
ReplyDeleteDel Rio is 10x more fun in the mid card than he is as a main eventer. He's damn good and may earn his way back to the top next year.
ReplyDeleteBut Flair didn't do that literally every single match!
ReplyDeleteoh, totally.
ReplyDeleteADR has been pretty good on Smackdown, but I understand that not many people watch that show.
ReplyDeleteMy new main event prediction: Ryback tears a quad midway through the match.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting to see if the Tigers can outdo the Yankees when it comes to failing with RISPs.
ReplyDeleteYikes! That was an awful looking spot with Del Rio on the top
ReplyDeleteIt's like even though the yanks got swept they somehow put there suck stank on the tigers before they took off to sf
ReplyDeletebotchamania moment
ReplyDeleteAt least the announcers sold that botch well.
ReplyDeleteNice transition into that armbar w/Rodriguez!
ReplyDeleteThese guys chemistry is so-so. Multiple blown or "ackward" spots in a row feels like.
ReplyDeleteWow. Same old, same old. I don't know why I expected different.
ReplyDeletegotta admitt that finish was awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat was a ok opener
ReplyDeleteOrton is such a smooth performer, but I find his persona/storytelling so boring
ReplyDeleteYou said two when you meant fourteen.
ReplyDeleteADR does another job huh? That was a sweet ass finish. I'd say that match was about 3.25 stars or so.
ReplyDeleteBetter opener than I expected.
ReplyDeleteBecause I'm an idiot, that's why.
ReplyDeleteTypical Orton match. Fluke win.
ReplyDeleteAnd they tried to cover it up by...slapping hands repeatedly. That was embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteI immediately take that back. I say 2.75-3 stars
ReplyDeleteGood solid opener, but ever since his 2nd Wellness Randy's been missing that spark. A heel turn could do him some good in the leadup to Mania.
ReplyDeleteI think on 2nd viewing you may edit those snowflakes down a touch. It wasn't anything you won't see in a TV match.
ReplyDeleteOh god the "aj scandal" smh
ReplyDelete3/5 just above average
ReplyDeleteThought that was a fun match. Not great, but I like ADR, so I liked watching him be kinda vicious. Top rope spot was ugly, but it happens sometimes.
ReplyDeleteWhta the hell? were you reading my mind as I was typing my initial response? lol.
ReplyDeletejeez enough with twitter already!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be all over tomorrow's show.
ReplyDeleteDidn't TNA just do this angle?
ReplyDeleteSo how many more months do we get adr vs rko? I say the over under is 1.5
ReplyDeleteI think he was missing that spark before he got busted... which is why he was probably tokin' it up or whatever anyway. But yeah, you're right that he probably need to go heel if it's possible to smoothly re-train fans on his character.
ReplyDeleteand it was horrible.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that Ric Flair worked the leg literally every single match.
ReplyDeletehe is afraid of count chocula though!
ReplyDeleteIs this a PPV or another episode of Raw?
ReplyDeleteAt least they had the common sense to put Christopher Daniels in it.
ReplyDeleteMy least favorite angle of all time was the vickie/edge/cena/big show love triangle and man does this feel a whole lot like version 2.0
ReplyDelete"Our audience is 8-year-olds."
ReplyDeleteHow many 8-year-olds understand what an affair is?
heres comes your saviour and mine!
ReplyDeleteIn modern day America? Probably way more than you think. Check divorce/infidelity stats.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe a fucking b-show ppv costs 60 bucks in hd? Seems a bit much but if you're gonna get it you might as well spend the extra 10 bucks for the hd
ReplyDeleteTeam Hell No loses, splits and captain opposing teams at Survivor Series? I dont see them stretching this out all the way to Mania.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm definitely excited for this match. You know in execution this card might not be that bad
ReplyDeleteKane is over for his own reasons. Bryan is over for his own reasons. And Hell No is over as a team. Such a unique dynamic.
ReplyDeleteIf they let the right guys go at the right time, and follow tag team formula a little bit, this could go 3.5-4.0 stars.
The angle just seems odd for a show they've so aggressively pushed as "family" entertainment, especially considering it involves their biggest draw for kids.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to say, "you get what you pay for," but I don't think that's the case at all. That's ridiculous. I can understand that type of price for a four-hour Wrestlemania, but not for freaking Hell in a Cell.
ReplyDeleteRaw's a longer show and by god does it feel it!
ReplyDeleteI actually like Team Hell No to not split, keep the belts and captain opposing teams at Survivor Series where the captain of the winning "team" gets to be the captain of Team Hell No, and then decide what matches they take on when and such.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't think an 8-year old victim of divorce understands what that means anyway.
ReplyDeleteJBL is making no sense right now. He's trying to start arguments that aren't there.
ReplyDeleteKane will always be over, but he owes Bryan a part of his paycheck right now, because he wouldn't be THIS over on his own anymore.
ReplyDeleteI'll take the over. They'll stretch it to Survivor Series at least. It'll probably their "traditional Survivor Series" match.
ReplyDeletewhen they split up would be cool if they continue to be friends, like rocky -mankind style of friends that would be cool
ReplyDeleteAll four guys look hyped for this match. 5th gear.
ReplyDeleteThe lack of appletinis makes this far less watchable.
ReplyDeleteCreative (or more likely Vince's veto power) will forget they were even in a tag team within 3 months of dropping the titles.
ReplyDeletesad that vince thinks that the angle is over the history of the wrestler previously is over.
ReplyDeleteHonest to God, Daniel Bryan should be holding one of the WT belts.
ReplyDeleteFor sure. Dude is clicking on ALL cylinders
ReplyDeleteBryan is single-handedly saving the tag team division.
ReplyDeleteDaniel Bryan definitely wore his workrate boots tonight
ReplyDeleteDaniel's just so damn crisp. I'd like to see him throw a few more suplex's and what not to spice up his offence but i dont think he's capable of having a bad match.
ReplyDeleteHe may sleep with them on.
ReplyDeletedefinetely specially the WWE title,it would be my awesome seing bryan main eventing WM and winning the wwe title.
ReplyDeleteHe had a decent match with Kamala for fucks sake.
ReplyDeleteI dig the little things: After Bryan gets hit by the knee, he still extends his hand out in a dazed manner.
ReplyDeleteSandow had his middle finger extended on the elbow. Nice touch!
ReplyDeleteImo the only two times kane had been more over or as over was when he first showed up and when he first dropped the mask.
ReplyDeleteI think THAT is the real sidewalk slam
ReplyDeleteC'mon, give it five more minutes...
ReplyDeletedamn so far this is a pretty awesome match, I like kane pulling off bryan finally too
ReplyDeleteuh oh
ReplyDeleteI love that Kane and Bryan can fight amongst themselves but still keep it together enough to beat on their opponents
ReplyDeleteI feel like that little segment added to the match. Thats the kind of sports entertainment i like
ReplyDeleteYou got to be shitting me! Damn the company for these lame ass finishes!
ReplyDeleteSandow sold that chokeslam like a fucking champ
ReplyDeleteWhat the fuck was that finish?
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with that finish because this is a good feud I would like to see continue and I way prefer this to sandow or cody jobbing out right
ReplyDeleteWhat a great match, but just put the damn champs over. I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we get some Dr. Shelby tomorrow
ReplyDeleteWhat's the consensus star rating on that one. 3.25/3.5ish sound too high. I though Bryan did some great work there
ReplyDeletei agree
ReplyDeleteThis feud MUST continue apparently
ReplyDelete"I think Dr. Shelby should be fired. I think he already was."
ReplyDeleteI think that's insider speak for "he's already gone."
i'm sorry miz only badasses can wear trenchcoats
ReplyDelete2.5 snowflakes. Give it 5 more minutes and an actual finish and it breaks *** easy.
ReplyDelete3.25 sounds about right. A cleaner finish or a few more minutes would've made it memorable past tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMiz talking about mediocrity is funny for the wrong reasons.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad miz promo, I dug it
ReplyDeleteWow Miz, melodrama in that promo much
ReplyDeleteHeeyyy... don't steal my words before I use them.
ReplyDeleteGood lord, he really IS trying to be Jericho 2008 II.
ReplyDeletemiz mentioned himself.
ReplyDeleteshhhh! He's "acting"...
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely sad they didn't give it more time. Its only 5:50 or so, and I think they only have four more matches booked. Don't get why that can't get more time?
ReplyDeletelike the brazilian comedian chacrinha said "nothing is creared, everything is copied".
ReplyDeleteKofi Kingston might soon experience some mizfortune.
ReplyDeleteYou are MONEY, BeardMoney.
ReplyDeleteJosh reddick, so glad we got you for andrew bailey. Good player
ReplyDeleteWorse acts to rip off I suppose
ReplyDeleteKofi Kingston is going to have a mizerable time trying to hang on to his Intercontinental title.
ReplyDeleteif you wanna call it that...
ReplyDelete3 week build to Survivor Series??? Jaysis! If it's gonna be that throw away at least give us a few old school SS elim matches. With some proper team names too!!!
ReplyDeletewow, hot start
ReplyDeleteWhat's this, match up #115 between these two? Yawn...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I typed that about a second before they said that.
ReplyDeleteThe Chain Gang vs. The Heyman Guys?
ReplyDeleteKofi might make a critical mizstake
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'd like it even more if it wasn't such a blatant plug for a non-WWE show.
ReplyDeletevickies 's bitches vs aj lap dogs
ReplyDeletedamn too bored to even comment on this match
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. Vince gives me some solid material to work with.
ReplyDeleteRest hold 2 minutes in. Man, that Miz is really improving in the ring.
ReplyDeleteGreat wrestling so far in this ppv, might make up for the possible dual stinkers of main events.
ReplyDeleteWell played!
ReplyDeletegreat addition the move set miz
ReplyDeleteThis match isn't awful or anything but I don't see how the fuck miz is ready for another main event heel push.
ReplyDeleteNot to be that guy, but Ziggler's briefcase is BLUE and is for the World Heavyweight Championship, not the WWE Championship. It's been that way for the last 3 years.
ReplyDeletethis is the begining of the Miz burial.
ReplyDeleteAs long as the Miz is in there, Kofi is just one miztimed error away from losing that belt.
ReplyDeleteSheamus has gotta do something for the next 2 months, Miz aint a bad choice if they're not going to pull the trigger on Ziggler.
ReplyDeleteDid Michael Cole just call this a sport? ooops.
ReplyDeleteBee-U-tiful cross body by Kofi
ReplyDeleteor miztimed move from hitting the floor.
ReplyDeleteStill less than half of Dolph vs. Kofi.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the match honestly...
ReplyDeleteIt's not that Kofi/Miz have bad matches. Just we've seen it all before. There's nothing empirically wrong with this match but I'm just burned out on watching Kofi and Miz wrestle.
ReplyDeleteWell, Kofi could very well be the Steamboat of this generation. Full of energy and can use his style to work with everyone. He's been a face his entire career, too
ReplyDeleteAnd he can WORK.
ReplyDeletebut the problem with kofi it's that he doesn't have a real gimmick like steamboat.
ReplyDeleteI love that finsih
ReplyDeleteMiz should work over the OTHER leg next time! But seriously, that was a great match!
ReplyDeleteGood solid match but no real heat and nothing that wouldn't look out of place on a typical Smackdown.
ReplyDeleteHot finish too
ReplyDeletethat was a nice match was some psychology and cool finish. solid 2.5 to 2.75 stars
ReplyDeleteI'm at 2.5 myself
ReplyDeleteplease wwe put a turn to this guy
ReplyDeleteWell at least they are trying to do something with kofi
ReplyDeleteI like the interview in the ring. Nice touch.
ReplyDeleteSo are there only the two world title matches and the divas match left? That ryback match can't be booked for more than 15 minutes can it?
ReplyDeleteWas just thinking the same thing, a very Steamboat-esque performance. It would be awesome to see him elevated to a feud with Punk with Punk playing up the Savage role with everything he's got.
ReplyDeleteWont it be cold as hell outside in Jersey for Mania 29? Or is that just my canadian self talking with our Halloween to St.Patrick's Day winters?
ReplyDeleteOh god, 1 hour broadway for Ryback KILL ME NOW
ReplyDeleteHow 'bout Sheamus-Show, please tell me that's not going to go for more than 15 minutes...lord help me.
ReplyDeleteei ei ei no!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen how muscular Ryback is? They can't cheat the fans by only letting them look at this muscles for 15 minutes.
ReplyDeleteIt won't be warm.
ReplyDeleteInferno matches for everyone!
ReplyDeleteAntonio vs Justin Gabriel for the US title i presume, why they cant actually promote that ahead of time is a mystery for another time.
ReplyDeleteplease antonio change your music
ReplyDelete
