  6. Their PPV recaps are pretty awesome and also give their Beyond the Mat review a go as their Dennis Stamp impersonation is hilarious.

  8. interesting listen, especially about what he had to say about melanie pillman and vickie guerreo never really heard anyone else say such negative things about vickie in particular would of like him pressed on that a bit more

  9. Yeah I was shocked when he got into that. We were going to push him more but then i thought he got his points out enough and didn't want to belabor it. We can definitely bring it up again when he is on again.

  10. I cant access the podcast due to traffic issues. Could you maybe summarize what he said about Melanie and/or Vickie?

  11. it started with a discussion about the interview vince did the day after pillman died and kk said both wwf and melanie were working thier own agenda's. he implied she was basically after a job and whilst faking it is probably the wrong word you get what i mean. He the went on a bit of a rant of how he didnt respect her of most of the women of the 90's who were addicted to fame implying they slept there way to jobs (missy, sunny, dianna smith etc)

this led to a discussion about vicki and i think the interviews were approaching it from the different angle, popular thinking that the wwe tried to exploit her and stick her out on tv etc but kk said she wanted to be out there, and was a horrible person to eddy

what i wanted them to press kk on was why as he didnt really elaborate on what she had done to him, He did say something about how eddy was messed up at the time not good to be around sort of thing but says she was just as a bad and really laid into her without being specific. I was curious because apart from the odd thing about her not having much to do with the rest of the Guerrero family thats the first overly negative thing i have ever heard about her

  12. First off, danster, thank you very much for explaining that.

I wasn't reading the sheets or listening to wrestling podcasts at the time (ie. a "smart fan", if that's what defines a person as such) Brian Pillman died, but Melanie definitely seems distraught and upset over it, and I didn't detect any insincerity.

As for Vickie, well ... if she felt she had to be out there in order to earn a paycheck to support herself and Eddie's kids, I couldn't blame her in the slightest. I probably would've done the same. And if she came to love being in the business (or enjoyed it from the start), I don't see anything wrong with that either. So I don't get what Kevin's beef is.

I can't speak to what she was like to Eddie or what their homelife was like. So, I guess I gotta pass on that one.

  13. I haven't listened to the podcast yet or read Eddie's book, but if I remember correctly Vickie left Eddie once he got fired from the WWE and got back together once Eddie was employed by the company again, you think that was a large part of Vickie being a fame whore?

  14. i wasnt watching at the time of the pillman thing but have seen it since and even if she wanted a job its still about the least classy thing the wwf ever did to do a pretty hostile interview with a widow the day after her husband died on live tv so its hard to be too harsh on her but Kevin isnt at all sympathetic

with vickie i was definitely feeling he was saying she wanted to be out there rather than taking on the role of struggling widow trying to support her family. I am guessing Tom is on the right lines with the family stuff but again its nothing i have heard before so hopefully they can pick this up with him when they get him back in a few weeks to finish off the rest of the 1997 chat

  16. OK, I've added you to my BeyondPod playlist to fill in the times when there's nothing worthwhile on the Observer feed (ie, the Granny show, the weekends with no PPVs, etc.) so don't let me down!
