Russo???

hey scott, check this out: http://www.wwedvdnews.com/report-nwo-revolution-dvd-content-vince-russo/29171/

quote: Was very surprised they got Lex Luger and Vince Russo to provide comments. Looks like they were recent because no year was on the top right corner.

Russo??????? is he back!?!?!?!?

In many ways it's almost like he never left in the first place.

By the way, gotta love the strategy now of blatantly recycling the Back In Black / Monday Night Wars single disc DVDs into one MEGADOCUMENTARY about the nWo.

  1. Threadjack:

Brian Williams criticized Linda on national TV for pot suspending her campaign during Sandy.

    Damn.

  2. Russo with 3 hours to work with on RAW? The needle on the "Screwjob-o-meter" might snap off week 2.

  3. Must've been some good weed to make her suspend her campaign.

  4. Speaking of Russo, I imagine there are other people here who have been playing WWE 13. Gotta say I'm actually pretty blown away by Attitude mode so far. The areas in which they aren't quite faithful to the source material are made up for by the many more where I felt they went the extra mile for authenticity. ie: the blue cage at Break Down, Undertaker's music being updated before Summerslam '98, digging out the short-lived backbeat to Mankind's original theme, Triple H making masturbation jokes during the KOTR final, JR and King rerecording half their commentary from the Cell match... really a bang-up job by Yukes on presentation in this one.

  5. I'm def. eager to get my hands on it for that mode and dat roster, but one question: how's the AI? I pretty much play single-player exclusively, so it's tough to stay motivated when it's a pushover; does it put up more of a fight in '13?

  6. Can't answer that yet, unfortunately. Since I'm in story mode and want to cruise through unlocking stuff I haven't played on anything harder than normal. Outside of a few counters, it was a cakewalk. I have it on easy right now just to cruise through a small handful of otherwise-frustrating unlockable objectives.

  7. I think the writing's on the wall for Linda's campaign, which is scary considering how inept the other guy seems to be.

  8. Really? I thought the AI in WWE 12 was really cheap and way too hard even on the easy mode. It was much more balanced and fun in SVR 2011, IMO.

  9. Really? Cause the AI in '11 (and moreso in '10; I skipped '12 from burnout on the series, so I have no frame of reference) would just sit there and let me kick its ass without attempting to strike first, even with the difficulty and sliders cranked up. I think 2009 was probably the sweet spot in terms of challenge in this current gen, with Here Comes the Pain as the best job in that department; beating Brock with Eddie on the highest difficulty felt as much as an herculean effort as was portrayed in the No Way Out 2004 match. That's also when the attributes were spread out enough to really make a distinct tier system between the levels of superstar; going against Brock Lesnar (who was secretly cranked by the dev team beyond the 10-point system) with a jobber was a death wish, and I loved it. God, that guy was a beast in HCTP; even a toe kick nearly put you in the yellow damage out of the gate.

  10. I'm more concerned about the One Warrior Nation logo being on the cover

  11. they are definitely scraping the bottom of the barrel on these dvds.

    Pass.

The docs arent that great and/or filled with revisionist history.

  12. I'm not surprised. Once TNA kicked him to the curb, where else was he going to go?

  13. I did own Back in Black, but I never bother with Monday Night Wars - and you'd think that they have enough stuff in the can to do a good documentary even if it has the usual WWE spin to it.

Oh did TNA get rid of Russo? Hulk Hogan used to be my favorite wrestler, but his hypocritical lifestyle makes me have some reservations about him. I hope Hogan finally gets it together, before its too late - though.
