And we're back to no one watching RAW. No NBA games tonight but there should be one or two NHL games right?
As for the PPV. Extreme Missed Opportunities.
I liked the tag match even though it was short.
I thought Big Show busted his ass in the loss.
Man Ryback-Cena was going to a good place. They were doing a good job of making Ryback look like quite the bad ass and then the non-finish just killed it. They booked themselves in a corner and as my husband said, "anything short of a gunshot is going to make Ryback weak if he lays for 10 seconds." End of the day, if you're going to go that far just hotshot the fucking title to Ryback. If it's for a week or a month who cares. At least it would be something out of the ordinary and it's not like Cena needs some long reign.
The cage match, good lord...I was hoping this would actually set up the start of a charge to the title for Brock but instead he looks like a guy that needed his manager to survive.
We need Brock-Cena. It was great the first time around. Cena knew how to make Brock look scary. Their match at Extreme Rules worked because Cena actually ACTED like he was facing crazy odds as compared to them beating us over the head with it. The hardway juice made me love it even more. As fans we need Cena bumping for Brock and some sort of a long-term program between the guys. It's obvious they aren't going to give any of the new blood a chance so let's just go with a guy that has the credibility and the proven draw.

My thoughts. Anyway, keep it clean, yadda yadda..
Given what's happened in Oklahoma today, I hope if Brock is on the show he doesn't give someone an F5 (or, if he does, nobody calls it that by name).
ReplyDeletethe best thing about raw these days is the aj ass pics in the live threads.
ReplyDeletePinhead-welcome to the cenobite's lair, your torture will begin.
ReplyDeleteMe-bitch please, watch Raw evrey week thats torture.
Heyman is tweeting that he'll announce a new Heyman Guy tonight. Cesaro would do well with renewed packaging, methinks.
ReplyDeleteIt's Ryback.
ReplyDeleteit's not like Cena needs some long reign
ReplyDeleteCena doesn't need a long reign, but the title itself needs a long reign, if that makes any sense. Long title reigns have done wonders for "the prestige" of both main titles, IMO (Sheamus' WHC reign and of course Punk's WWE title reign), inasmuch as TV show props can be prestigious these days.
He'll probably give it to JR and Swagger on purpose, repeatedly, using the WWE Sledgehammer of Plot motif.
ReplyDeleteWe just had a 434-day long title reign. A couple of two-month reigns won't kill the title or anything right now. Give it to a good heel and let them run wild with it.
ReplyDeleteRyback could use a mouthpiece, but Ryback and Brock in one stable seems somewhat redundant.
ReplyDeleteBut it will have bounced from Punk to Rock to Cena to as suggested Ryback. That's Russo territory.
ReplyDeleteTeam RyBrock!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's gonna be a stable, just give Heyman something to do while Punk and Lesnar are off screen. And I'd bet money right now the plan for Summerslam is Brock vs Ryback.
ReplyDeleteRyback will come out tonight bitching about not getting the title, Heyman will come out and agree with him and say something like "If I were your manager, you'd be WWE champ.". Brock will get pissy about it when he comes back, leading to them facing each other at SS.
It's a good idea. I'd have a lot more interest in Cena/Ryback if Heyman's involved.
ReplyDeleteMy last week of finals ever, so I am not going to ruin this glorious week by suffering through RAW while there is a NHL playoff game to take in and Clayton Kershaw taking the ball for my Blue Crew tonight.
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely love it if it was Cesaro as the new Heyman Guy. Man absolutely deserves a push. And more coffee.
ReplyDeleteCesaro wouldn't need THAT much tweaking, if any at all. Let him be the machine that he is with the Heyman hype behind him.
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy, which is why it'll be Zack Ryder while they play up the New York connection.
I'd rather they do it with Punk, but I feel like Punk is gonna be a sacrificial lamb for Ryback in July.
ReplyDeleteThey need to bring Punk back fast. They'd be insane to have a PPV in Chicago without him, because that crowd would kill them.
ReplyDeleteAgain, if I had to bet money, I bet the plan for that show is Punk vs Cena vs Ryback, with Heyman in both Punk's and Ryback's corner. Ryback wins the title, Punk gets ousted and turns face, Punk vs Ryback at July show, and vs Brock at SS.
ReplyDeleteRusso territory is Punk to Rock to Punk to Rock to Punk to Rock to Cena to held up to Ryback to Cena to Big Show to Vicki Guerrero back to Cena.
ReplyDeleteI heard it was CAPS LOCK MAN.
ReplyDeleteBut how does that get HHH over?
ReplyDeleteShawn MIchaels over the top celebration after he beats Diesel at "Good Friends -- Better Enemies" is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not watching Raw...
I think Punk will return at the Chicago show to cut a face-turning promo. I remember reading somewhere the plan was for him not to wrestle again until Summerslam (plans change, and I agree with you its nuts he's not wresting in Chicago).
ReplyDeleteThey've had Antonio Cesaro yodeling & wearing a beret all in the past month, someone in creative is trying to bury him for whatever reason, no way will he be a new Heyman guy.
ReplyDeleteWho wants to bet Cena's excuse for getting stretchered out last night is cause Ryback farted as they were going thru the set?
ReplyDeleteSeriously though. That asshole is going to come out tonight no-selling everything from last night, just as he did in the post-ppv show where he miraculously was fine and walked out of the ambulance like he wasent just declared dead 20 minutes prior
They're not going to go to all that expense just yet to get more side-plates for the WWE title, and not for Ryback, not yet.
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer to see him get some kind of secondary title, maybe the IC belt after someone costs Barrett (...not Bo Dallas), whom I think has serious long-term potential.
After seeing secondary belt holders jobbing constantly, this is one time when getting a belt on an invincible beast would do a lot of good for the belt and for restoring Ryback.
I say they keep him as is, just for the sake of reunited him with Hero when he finally gets called up to the main roster
ReplyDeleteNot that WWE logic is ever present, but something just dawned on me. Why would ADR have to win a #1 Contenders match? Wasn't the Extreme Rules match supposed to be his automatic rematch? Why would he lose it?
ReplyDeletei see no such photo
ReplyDeleteStill think they should have ripped off the Sid/HBK angle from 95. Punk needed to be written off the show, Lesnar needed something new to do since the angle with Rock fell apart, and a PPV called Payback with Brock on the poster was coming from Punk's hometown. It was staring them right in the face.
ReplyDeleteWatching HHH v Orton at Wrestlemania... 25? For the first time.
ReplyDeleteIt's far from a terrible match but I can see why as the main event at the end of a long blood feud, on the 24-4-4-4th Anniversary Show, it's a slow, drawn-out affair.
HHH is the KING of lying around for long periods of time before winning on PPV.
I think Punk/Brock would make more money than Brock/Ryback.
ReplyDeleteIs Brock working more dates this year than last year?
ReplyDeleteJust because, now shut up.
ReplyDeleteI doubt it. You'll see him at Summerslam, maybe the Rumble, and WM. That's it.
ReplyDeleteAt least Ryback walked away on his own power and looked to be Cena's equal throughout the match. I actually thought the PPV was alright, if you stop after Cena vs Ryback
ReplyDeleteSCOTT STEINER IS THE NEW HEYMA....oh wait nevermind.
ReplyDeleteHe refused medical attention, because tending to your injuries is for pussies!
ReplyDeleteRyback cutting generic heel turn promo a month after his heel turn
ReplyDeleteGeneric Heel Promo version 983, courtesy of Ryback.
ReplyDeleteRyback heeling it up on the mic, this is more like it...still sucks though, just much less.
ReplyDeleteThat sonuvabitch said I don't know about good health. FUCK YOU, RYBACK! I'm buying the ppv just to see you get your ass beaten
ReplyDeleteRyback channeling Sycho Sid on the mike there.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the WWE-friendly crowds I see...
ReplyDeleteLove having Miz back!!!
ReplyDelete- No one, ever.
Ambulance match for whatever they're calling the next PPV. I hope they just say fuck it and put the strap on Ryback and let him carry it until Summerfest. Unless CM Punk comes back early of course.
ReplyDeleteGuesses on Heymans newest client??
ReplyDeleteWatching Ryback cut that promo just made me wish WWE would just sign Bully Ray for this role instead.
ReplyDeletePaul Heyman brought the Big Show to prominence? Did I miss something?
ReplyDeleteRyback, I have a feeling that one of these days, you and your whole family are going down - John Cena.
ReplyDeleteManaged Big Show when he was WWE champ.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I'm naive enough to watch Raw tonight on the long long LONG shot that daniel bryan will turn heel on kane and become heyman's new guy. It's almost like I'm new to this.
ReplyDelete-Dougie
ReplyDeleteInstead they went with Orton
ReplyDeleteThey put Orton on the poster? The first one had Lesnar on it.
ReplyDeleteno, he brought him to providence. for a house show.
ReplyDeleteEither Ryback or someone from NXT. My guess is Hero.
ReplyDeleteMonday Night Raw brought to you be Sonic Shakes!
ReplyDeleteWas it just me or did Ryback just pull off the badass heel pretty well right there? Cutting a promo from the top of an ambulance was a great touch.
ReplyDeleteThat makes much more sense. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHoly Shit! Sin Cara's still on the roster?
ReplyDeleteRyback would be an awesome choice. Didnt think of him. I got no idea but Hero is just as good as anybody
ReplyDeleteWhere's the celebrity with the belt?
ReplyDeleteBarrett with ANOTHER new theme song? Granted this one isn't that bad, but still. How many has the guy had?
ReplyDeleteHe did okay, but it might be too. little too late for him.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until they turn Barrett face and he becomes United Kingdom John Cena.
ReplyDeleteDaniel Bryan has to split with Kane first, and then lose to him...a lot.
ReplyDeleteCause he's smaller!
RVD.
ReplyDeleteHe's had more theme songs than Larry King's had wives.
ReplyDeleteRyback definitely needs someone to speak for him. Heyman is a great choice for him.
ReplyDeleteWhat's great about him is that the crowd will love him no matter what he does. Not alot of guys have that trait
ReplyDeleteoh god well how can i continue living my life without the app after THAT?
ReplyDeleteAll the RVD as Heyman's new client talk that Scott Hall started is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmm, that would pop the crowd. I haven't watched TNA in months, in fact i don't even get Spike TV anymore on my cable package. How has RVD held up in the ring recently?
ReplyDeleteWhat about Ireland John Cena, Sheamus?
ReplyDeleteBleh. He's showing his age, or he's REALLY been hitting the bong.
ReplyDeleteRyback would benefit from Paul, but he wouldn't be in much better shape than he is now. Ryback is pretty close to his ceiling already without him.
ReplyDeleteGive him a minute, he'll be injured again
ReplyDelete^^ I still havent figured that out. Was he aiming that at Hogan with the poses? That whole thing came off strange
ReplyDeleteUgh. Still not over how much they de-fanged Sheamus.
ReplyDeleteThe dude was one of my favorites from the time he debuted to the summer of 2011.
ReplyDeleteLol these europeon commercials im seeing on this feed im using are a trip. I have no idea what the hell is going on
ReplyDeleteDoes Jericho have color or is that hair dye?
ReplyDeleteThat SummerSlam match with Henry was fucking awesome. Sheamus looked like a bad ass warrior. Then...smiley faces and racism.
ReplyDeleteI swear, you'd think that Steve Austin never happened.
I do dig the fact that Fandango is in his own little world. His complicated shallowness actually shows some depth.
ReplyDeleteDid Jericho get busted open?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't stand him at first, winning the WWE Title twice and he wasn't the least bit over. He's grown on me since but back then he was HHH's gym buddy pushed way above his pay grade.
ReplyDeleteIt shows some charisma, which isn't something you can say about a lot of other guys on the roster.
ReplyDeleteI love the uber-standard lettering on Wade Barrett's trunks.
ReplyDeleteToo bad he's the jobbingest jobber that ever jobbed.
What's more over, Fandango or his song?
ReplyDeleteThat simple, "I'll fight ya" was one of the best turns in recent memory.
ReplyDeleteSummer Rae pulling the Debra with the seperate TV outfits and ppv outfits. If you weeel
ReplyDeleteFace turn for Summer Rae?! Too early...
ReplyDeleteWhat's his Win-Loss record this year? I know someone was keeping records of the roster.
ReplyDeleteWhy they choose to job their champions over and over is a phenomenon that i can't even fathom understanding.
The song, but to Fandango's credit, he's rolling with it.
ReplyDeleteSo, I hear RVD is in town....
ReplyDelete"He's the IC champion! We can beat him all we want! He won't be hurt by it because he has a belt!"
ReplyDeleteWhat's particularly stupid about is that, far more often than not, it doesn't even LEAD to anything! Did R-Truth even get a title shot after beating Barrett?
Advertisers must be thrilled WWE is all but begging fans not to watch commercials.
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of y'all dig Summer Rae, but that pointy nose and strong resemblance to Michelle McCool just isn't doing it for me. She's behind AJ, Layla, the Bellas, Kaitlyn, Funkadactyl Cameron, and Paige on my unofficial Diva rankings
ReplyDeleteHe never happened to these writers.
ReplyDeleteHe's had more theme songs than David Duchovny's had sex.
ReplyDeleteBo Dallas skyrocketed to the moon after beating Wade, it was a 21st century 1-2-3 Kid/Razor moment that will never be forgotten!
ReplyDeleteBo Dallas still has a job right?
He's like Mankind in a way.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit, I COMPLETELY forgot about Bo Dallas.
ReplyDeleteWhy on EARTH did they even book him to win the Rumble spot? Why not give it to any of the veritable shitload of other guys who were actually ready to be called up?
Yes, signing the guy that hasn't won a PPV match against a credible opponent (ie not a jobber) is a wonderful idea.
ReplyDeleteIf it is RVD, do you think he'll actually get a push to keep Heyman's client base (don't want to say stable) strong? Or does he get completely buried just to shit on TNA? You know which Vince would prefer...
ReplyDeleteGreat Khali v Jack Swagger is a main event anywhere in this country.
ReplyDeleteGeez, could they stack the deck any more in terms of who they want to face Swagger?
ReplyDeleteThe polls aren't open yet! Then why the fuck announce it? How hard is it to open an online poll?
ReplyDeleteHas this entire company gone senile?
Because wins and losses are weighted so heavily within the storyline. It would help his act immensely.
ReplyDeleteI always laugh whenever Kane's red mascara starts running down his nose!
ReplyDeleteDaniel Bryan is still mad to have lost the tag titles 24 hours later, and rips Kane for making jokes in light of it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see some people on the roster still know how to sell a loss.
Kofi's new shirt... lol
ReplyDeleteEverything you wrote is wrong.
ReplyDeleteVince doesn't acknowledge TNA's existence.
ReplyDeleteI want to make a Pat Patterson joke here, but in all honesty, I don't think Pat's eyesight is THAT bad.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Bo is fucking fugly. That's right, fucking FUGLY.
Senility implies former competency.
ReplyDeleteRyback, just to give them another reason to run him on PPV against Cena two more times.
ReplyDeleteRYB
ReplyDeleteACK
My new favourite sign.
I could go the rest of my life without hearing "Radioactive" ever again.
ReplyDeleteVince doesn't care about TNA. He could have poached tons of talent just to fuck with em but they're so below his notice he doesn't even bother. I think the WWE as a whole likes having another company out there anyway.
ReplyDeleteLook at Ryback and tell me Vince doesn't care about TNA. It's a total Bully Ray rip off.
ReplyDeleteIt's simple. Creative has nothing for him.
ReplyDeleteSomeone's going to be getting an audit this summer. Hope it was worth it!
ReplyDeleteThere's a very subtle, untold storyline there with Diesel making threats at Vince. We all *knew* this was Diesel last appearance and I think they were trying to build up the idea throughout that Diesel was going to take the belt with him and their was heat between him and Vince & Shawn. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case at all, Vince might not have been happy with Diesel but he was leaving for better money so who could blame him. And I don't think Diesel wanted to leave so much as he wanted a bunch of money.
ReplyDeleteSo I think they were trying to play to the smarts with Diesel being out of control (the powerbomb through the table was amazing and it did NOT look like Vince and Lawler were expecting it) and by winning Michaels was saving the WWF title from the defector, and he was "sending Diesel" to WCW with a big loss.
She's objectively pretty, I'll admit, but she just doesn't do it for me.
ReplyDeleteHuh?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't know haven't watched Bubba in ages. I didn't buy him as a main event talent over a decade ago, don't see why now would be any different.
ReplyDeleteOh geeze, another "I'm going home" angle. Because it's only been 6 months since our last one.
ReplyDeleteBubba got awesome. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it either.
ReplyDeletehttp://prorasslin.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/bully-ray.jpg
ReplyDeleteWhen he wins the triple threat over both of them at Night of Champions.
ReplyDeleteIs Mark Henry's "I'm going home" giving anyone else Dean Malenko flashbacks?
ReplyDeleteWell, we all have our faults.
ReplyDeletewhat did titus say that got cut?
ReplyDeleteTitus just made USA glad that they have a seven second delay...
ReplyDeleteAm I crazy or has Titus improved a lot ring wise?
ReplyDeleteI remember Dean Malenko in a hotel room with Lita. Everything else is now one big blur of competent yet heatless charismaless matches.
ReplyDeleteWas just thinking the same. He seems more confident.
ReplyDeleteif i didn't know any better i'd think titus was about to get pushed due to the announcers.
ReplyDeleteimpressive fall (not) away slam.
Even the time he headlined Wrestlemania 20?
ReplyDeleteD-Von get 3 tables!?!? Doesn't look much different than when he was trading the Hardcore title back and forth and back again and again many moons ago. He could always talk though so if TNA is a bit more PG-13 i can see him getting over.
ReplyDeleteWWE is running out of black guys for Shemus to beat.
ReplyDeleteIt's more giving me the Jack Swagger "I'm going home" angle that we just saw a few months ago.
ReplyDeleteWould Sheamus be half as annoying on a weekly basis if he wasn't Triple H's protected pet project?
ReplyDeleteEasily Titus' best match ever and a reminder of how awesome Sheamus is. Which is fucking depressing because his character is so god awful.
ReplyDeleteHe lost a ton of weight and has had a lot of legit good to great matches over the past couple of years.
ReplyDeleteHornswoggle.
ReplyDeleteThey once WERE competent, hard as that may be to believe.
ReplyDeleteGranted, it does feel like it was a long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...
Great calves to.
ReplyDeleteRed Wings 1-0 over Blackhawks.
ReplyDelete
