Hey Scott,
Other than the 1984 David Schultz interview in which he slapped the reporter who insisted wrestling was fake, are there any other instances where a pro wrestler has lost his cool during a press interview? The only other examples I can find are Vader in Kuwait and Randy Orton in Mexico. Maybe the BODers can help? Thanks

Vince McMahon lost his shit on Bob Costas during the XFL era and that's worth a look on YouTube.
That Orton interview was fake as fuck.
ReplyDeleteRelated: Any examples of wrestlers being non-diplomatic with the company itself? RVD refusing to go on the voluntary trip to Iraq springs to mind.
The Randy Orton thing was an obvious publicity stunt.
ReplyDeleteAnd I believe Vince McMahon lost his shit when being interviewed by Armen Keteyian for HBO's Real Sports. I remember he like slapped the paper out of Armen's hand and just acted like the biggest dick in history.
I'd call that the opposite of losing your cool. Hulk's just having a little fun.
ReplyDeleteYou can't wrestle! You can't wrestle!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that Vince thing always creeps me out. He seemed utterly psychotic.
ReplyDeleteWOW, just watched it. His freak out wasnt as severe as the Costas one but the actual shit he says along with his delivery makes him look worse IMO. It's almost creepy
ReplyDeleteDon't know if there's any freak outs but check out the Michael Landberg (spelling?) interviews from "Off the Record." He's done a TON of wrestling ones and if you can tolerate his crackhead questioning pace they're pretty informative. Don't know how many are floating on the web tho.
ReplyDeleteThat was in '97 when they were doing the Kuwaiti Cup tourney IIRC. Jerry Lawler drew a funny cartoon of Vader in a jail cell that he showed on RAW.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes wish they'd booked Hogan-HBK 2 in a cage and then had Michael's escape first and screw Hogan over legit.
