This seems like it'll be pretty cool.

Sadly I'm only doing PS3 gaming now, but it seems like an updated version of the original Smackdown PS2 games.

Very excited! I'm still hyper-addicted to Booking Revolution though!
ReplyDeleteIf you're only doing PS3, have you heard about Five Star Wrestling?
ReplyDeleteJust saw their Facebook page. It's pretty funny that they have blatant knock-offs of RVD, Rock, Orton, Goldberg and Jeff Hardy as some of the playable characters. I wonder how long it takes for the WWE legal team to get on this one.
ReplyDeleteAfter playing UFC Undisputed 3 for a good year or so (and I'm someone who HATES actual UFC) I highly doubt any wrestling game is going to come close to that anytime soon. It's a better wrestling game than anything I've ever played, I think, including the N64 WCW and WWF games. The harder difficulty settings never feel like they're "cheating" and the mechanics are extremely deep, easy to get good at, difficult to master. I understand why WWE would never make a game like that because they feel their games need to be more arcade-like for da kidz but I would be ALL OVER a wrestling game that focused on technical proficiency like the UFC one does. A fight ending due to a lucky knockout in a manner of seconds shits all over throwing someone off the roof of a Hell In A Cell just to watch them bounce up again like nothing happened.
ReplyDeleteSir, sir, sir, what if i told you there was a wrestling game that challenged you to have a good match, versus trying to win one?
