List of WWE personnel is one of Wikipedia's 10 Most Controversial Pages

http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/24/tech/web/controversial-wikipedia-pages

Yeah, it's only based on the amount of times a page has been tweaked or rewritten but still humorous considering the 'E's crusade of being recognized by the mainstream media. Plus everything else is related to politics or religion. Think they'll bring this up on RAW?

I still picture Vince trying to install Netscape Navigator on the computer in HHH's fake office, so I doubt he's hip to the controversies of Wikipedia.  Plus WWE would probably want to develop their own WWE-kipedia where only authorized WWE Universe members can add and edit things.  So probably no "Did you know..." about this one.

I'd be curious to know who is tweaking the pages. Is it passionate wrestling fans, wanting to shape the page to their view or outsiders writing what they THINK they know about wrestling.

  2. I wonder if Vince tries to keep in contact with his employees through ICQ?

  3. If Wiki controversies blow Vince's hair back, would love to see his reddit-guy reaction.

  4. For the love of god, never refer to WWE as "The 'E" again, cut that shit out immediately

  5. When Maddox was announced as GM I went to his page to find out more about him. It had already been updated to include his title as GM as well as various insults, boring etc definitely marks editing.

  6. I don't know, I can see Michael Cole putting a positive spin on this.

Cole: "Well folks, earlier this week WWE made headlines (*snicker*) on SEE IN IN DOT COM for... well, being one of the most updated and expanded on entries on the website WEE-KEE-PEE-DEE-AH DOT COM! No surprise here! You don't have to tell the billions of WWE Universe members that WWE is the most exciting, fast-paced form of entertainment in the world!"

Lawler: "Michael, Michael... what number did WWE rank on the list?"

Cole: "I believe WWE was number four, King."

Lawler: "WAAAAT. We should have been number one!"

Cole: "Well, I don't believe the entries were really ranked, just listed."

Lawler: "Oh, well that's because they know no entry is updated more than WWE."

Cole, Lawler, JBL: "Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha."

  7. I think it's hilarious the only Wikipedia pages in the English language edited more often are George W Bush, anarchy, and Mohammed. Even Christianity and the Tea Party are less controversial than the WWE's roster.

  8. I think it's because wrestling has actually a substantial and uh...passionate internet presence.

  9. An overly enthusiastic WWE staffer apparently updated Chris Benoit's page shortly after the murder suicide with privileged info. that was not available to the public yet. So, WWE might sometimes look at this things. Who knows if it's part of someone's job though.

  10. Frankly the roster doesn't change near enough. Some people there have charity-level jobs. Especially since apparently they don't require everyone to appear at shows they aren't booked on, some people are getting paid, maybe not wildly great, but a decent living, to sit at home and wait for the phone to ring.

  11. Yeah, I am surprised a company run by Republicans allows those kinds of handouts.
