Busted that girls mouth open pretty badly though. But did they do it to protect the business and if so shouldn't Natalya be bleeding out the Bellas on a weekly basis?
The good thing about "Total Divas" is that everyone will understand why the girls can't get more than five minutes on RAW: Because no one can stand them for six.
It was fun to watch i'll admit. I've suddenly come to the crushing realization that Daniel Bryan could be pushed this year just because of this show and they want Nikki's boyfriend to be a world champion too.
It sounds stupid, but would you expect anything less from vince?
It sounds stupid because it is. Daniel Bryan is being pushed because Vince a) loves him, b) sees money in him, obviously and c) has always cared more about the in-ring product than he's given credit for.
Here's what I don't get from the clips I've seen. The Bellas are still heels, right? On screen in the "WWE Universe" reality they're a pair of bitchy school bully heels? Doesn't that make both Cena and Bryan look like either strung along idiots like Zack Ryder with Eve last year, or that they're actually just the school boy bully jocks.
It would have made sense if they'd had the Bellas turn face in the build up to the show, but they're just another pair of bitchy champagne sippers around other bitchy champagne sippers that constitutes the cast of nearly every US reality show.
I can understand using a reality show format as another part of your entertainment 720 media strategy, etc, but it all seems ass backwards and will satisfy no one.
Some of the backstage stuff was interesting, as was Brodus Clay being painted as a complete asshole, while not even appearing on-screen once. I'll probably keep watching.
I would like to think that, and yes you are most likely right, but Vince has pushed people for far worse reasons than the one i stated, and considering his ongoing obsession into turning the WWE into a legit entertainment franchise that your mother and sister could watch. I would not be surprised.
Oh yeah...it would be interesting to see if they get picked up for a second season and assuming bryan is successful and hits it big as a star...seeing how they tackle that and incorporate it into the show. I mean it can only help that two of their divas is going out with the two biggest stars in the business at the moment.
At least it's less of a puzzling mystery why Brie is going out with Bryan (other than the fact he's awesome) she's quite a hippy compared to her sister. You can imagine her and Bryan bonding over organic vegetables, fairtrade choclate and conflict free...baskets or whatever.
Right on. Your "Oh my God I don't care!" was exactly how I felt. A hair color choice was a dramatic plot point.
ReplyDeleteLoosen up a bit Masked Reviewer. You looked like you were reading from a TelePrompTer.
ReplyDeletelol. I wish that were the case.
ReplyDeleteI think my grandmother also "looks at" television. Otherwise I enjoyed your review.
ReplyDeleteThanks. lol.
ReplyDeleteLook up the Documentary GAEA Girls on YouTube instead of watching a bunch of vapid shores pretending to be wrestlers.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Meiko Satomura giving that girl a stiff dropkick is way more entertaining than the WWE divas coming across as unlikable.
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot this show debuted last night. I should have set my DVR to record it - NOT!

If there was one positive from the show I did enjoy that Bryan was made to look like a big star.
ReplyDeleteBrie is Bryan's gal.
ReplyDeleteMasked Reviewer.
ReplyDeletePlease could you do this every week?
Just 2 minutes a week.
Please!!!
I'll see what I can do. During next weeks episode I'll be working, so it'd be up later.

I wouldn't have poured water there if my dog pissed either.

ReplyDelete"just repeat to yourself it's just a show, I should really just relax."
Fouth Segment?
ReplyDeleteAlso, because THEY'VE GOT 'TIL FIVE, REFEREE!
ReplyDeleteI'm relaxed. When I typed that last bit I was almost horizontal...

ReplyDeleteI made it though a minute of this review. I usually like his video game reviews but... Yeesh.
ReplyDeleteOh sorry my bad...I'll change it.
