The latest news from TNA tonight, according to Dave Meltzer, is that Magnus will not be on the show as his visa has expired. TNA is working to fix this as we speak. The BFG Series will end tonight and the top four in the standings will go on to the 9/12 show.
More sighs... well, let's see how tonight goes.
ReplyDeleteAnnoying wrestling trope #57: characters had no time to discuss internal issues in the entire preceding week.
ReplyDeleteThe "midweek" contract signing or meeting was always nice.
ReplyDeleteWes Briscoe might as well be a cardboard cut out that Knox carries to the ring.
ReplyDeleteI always hate when two guys are talking backstage and all they're doing is recapping something that happened that they both already know.
ReplyDeleteBest guess on final four: AJ, Hardy, Roode, Aries. Contracts and work visas may change that...
ReplyDelete... How does Magnus get knocked out of the Top 4?
ReplyDeleteBikers bitching about suffrage... yep, just put the fucking bullet in their head NOW.
ReplyDeleteMagnus got a re-newed visa.
ReplyDeleteThe remaining balance on Dixie's Visa may change that as well.
ReplyDeleteIn related news Visa refused to renew Dixie.
ReplyDeleteInstead of portraying them as a biker gang, they should portray them as a group of douches who are trying to be a biker gang because they watch S.O.A.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't quite sure Magnus would be back in time but now it looks likely.
ReplyDeleteOne hour in and the Impact thread has 1% of the Raw thread's posts.
ReplyDeleteHulk should use his announcement to promote WWE 2K14. I'm sure TNA could use the ad dollars.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how fast this thread's fallen.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see Rampage finally put a few bucks into his wardrobe... He's at least partially up to the MEM dress code.
ReplyDeleteLast year, it would get around 300 comments regularly and now, it's lucky to get 75
ReplyDeleteAJ is getting shat on.
ReplyDeleteApparently his new gimmick is CM Punk.
ReplyDeleteI'm watching, just playing FF 14 on my other monitor and not commenting :p
ReplyDeletePossibly the worst "worked shoot" promo ever.
ReplyDeleteit's AJ, he's not the worlds best promo man, but I felt it was good for him.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, the focus at this point was still Aries and the mostly good BFG series with Aces and Eights mostly on the peripherary.
ReplyDeleteLook around boys. This is San Diego. We've finally made it.
ReplyDeletePoor TNA. I can't watch live but looking at this thread, all the backstage nonsense lately and the fact that I myself have given up on downloading Impact anymore, it's just astounding how this year has eroded all the good will they'd built. What a crappy candle.
ReplyDeleteThere's still good out there. It's just buried in a pile of manure at the moment...
ReplyDeleteOh, I've stuck with it for ages. It was only the Hardcore Justice show that I downloaded and when, after days of watching in increments, I realised I didn't even care to watch the Bully/Sabin Cage Match, I knew it was time to let it go. I'll gladly check out good individual matches or, better yet, whole Impact's if they improve, but they're currently in a hell of a slump.
ReplyDeleteOr like Billy Crystal in City Slickers.
ReplyDeleteMy work hours have changed, so it's harder for me to get here earlier.
ReplyDeleteWhere the WWE is the monopoly like Nike, TNA is like And1. Hot for a second and had potential, but didn't have the money or proper management to back it up.
ReplyDeleteWhy can I see Daniels getting DQ'ed and losing 2 points?
ReplyDeleteEven in the Spring, this thread was getting over 100 comments easy. Its just that the Aces & Eights storyline blows and they fucked up the BFG series.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the record for fewest posts in the live thread? This has to be close.
ReplyDeleteI want to say one of the non-live weeks didn't even reach 25.
ReplyDeleteThere IS a lot going on with Labor Day weekend and people taking their little bastards back to college. But yeah...this is low.
ReplyDeletePersonally i came to get a glimpse of Brooke and see AJ wrestle.
Random prediction for "Talky Time With the GM, Brother."
ReplyDeleteDaniels/Styles go one-on-one next week, winner gets Bully (who WILL be forced to defend the title one more time before BfG) at the No Surrender "Clash".
Oh, the match that ISN'T supposed to happen? I wondered how they would do that?
ReplyDeleteJusticeCoin.com - the perfect gift site for that uncle of yours that watches Fox News.
ReplyDeleteI have no reason to believe that it'll happen, just seeing the final standings gave me the idea.
ReplyDelete"I was busy making sure my pay check was gonna clear....BROTHER."
ReplyDeleteHulk, your math SUCKS. 20 points wouldn't save the bottom two.
ReplyDeleteSo if AJ resigns before next Impact, he's in?
ReplyDeleteThe cutout would have more charisma.
ReplyDeleteWhen I die I wish to be reincarnated as Brooke Tessmacher's shorts.
ReplyDeleteI would go one layer lower.
ReplyDeleteI just got home, turned on Impact and was greeted by that on my screen. Glorious.
ReplyDeleteAt the end of the day, it's the end of the day, brother.
ReplyDeleteDawta??!?!
ReplyDeleteUsing Brooke: No, you're nowhere near the only one to do that, I'd bet.
ReplyDeleteUsing her to get the TNA title: Yeah, you might be alone in that.
So by the end of tonight's tapings?
ReplyDeleteUh OH...Bully turned his hat around. He's about to go...OVER THE TOP!!!!
ReplyDeleteJoisey makes an appearance in Bully's speech.
ReplyDeleteAces OF Eights Hulk? Really?
ReplyDeleteAces of Eights? That's a match worthy of Summerfest
ReplyDeleteJesus, he can't even get the group's name right.
ReplyDeleteAnd there goes that stip, for whatever reason.
ReplyDelete...stips mean NOTHING....BROTHER.
ReplyDeleteHe, I from Jersey and I resent that. That is Long Island all day.
ReplyDeleteSponsored by The WCW and booked by the Powers to be.
ReplyDeleteFolks, we're out of time! Stay tuned for Robin Hood here on the Superstation!
ReplyDeleteThat ending was a CLUSTERFUCK of WHAT?s
ReplyDeleteNothing like having a B-/C+ show, and seeing the ending drop it almost a whole grade.
Why not? Bellator's commercial breaks can be Sting-Bully for the title.
ReplyDeleteFeaturing new members Kofi Johnson and Evan Braun. Who will debut by attacking Jeff Harvey.
ReplyDeleteWith special commentary by Bret the "Hitman" Clark.
ReplyDelete....what the hell:

God bless you, good sir.
ReplyDeleteMatt Hardy is not gonna give up his claim to fame that easily.
ReplyDeleteJef Vinson is a man for all seasons.
ReplyDeleteEh, Hogan said from the start he didn't like the stip, and then last night was saying that HE was in charge. It's stupid, but it makes sense.
ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING IS FINE
ReplyDeleteThis was not good
