I finished the main story mode a few days ago, great stuff. Don't know if you did it or not but if you want a full, satisfying mission and ending pick Option C first. Then go back and do Option A and B. now I'm just screwing around and doing the side mission stuff to get to 100%. Btw, after you beat the game, be Trevor and go back to his trailer for even more depth to Trevor's character and a new mission.
Leafs go 5-2-1 in the pre-season. Not bad but it's not like anybody was playing their full major league line-ups.
Three teams from each division make the play-offs, plus 2 wildcard spots Atlantic division is: Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Tampa Bay Lightning and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Metropolitan division is: New York Rangers, New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils, Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes and Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Moral here is that Assuming Detroit, Boston, Pittsburgh, and The Rangers are locks, (they are) it's unlikely all three Canadian teams make the play-offs in the east.
The question is, who is the odd man out, Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal. Further more, anyone care to predict who makes the play offs on the whole? Season opens Tuesday, so excited!
But she got out of control towards the end of her run on SNL, helping to overpush her not-so-funny buddies like Amy Poehler. Poehler is a gifted actress, but her characters on that show sucked. Barely memorable crap. And yet there she was again and again and again and again and again. That show got so much better after Fey left.
Just screwing around in that game is so much fun. Earlier I stole a bus, put it on the freeway blocking traffic. Then I put sticky bombs on the bus and gasoline on the cars behind it. I got a safe distance and the explosion and carnage was glorious. I also like the stunt jumps. Can't wait for Online to start.
I thought it was overkill. personally. Tina and Jimmy were good and Seth and Amy were okay but Tina and Amy together was too much to handle. Amy was not great at jokes. Sketches were her strong suit
Her high school TV show bits with Rachel Dratch were really funny, though I suppose that's the exception that proves the rule. Her Donatella Versace is right near the top of the list of "who gives a fuck?" impressions.
SNL should be interesting with six new castmembers. Kyle Mooney is hilarious and Beck Bennett is the guy from the ATT commercials with the little kids. I think Taran Killam will break out big this season. He is their strongest castmember, IMO
Eh, I enjoyed them together. I would enjoy Jimmy more if he didn't piss me off every time he broke character cracking up. Doing it once in a great while is funny and cute. Doing it all the time just got annoying.
The character breaking was bad, him and Horatio Sanz were really tough to watch at times, but Jimmy has really come into his own with his late night show.
On the subject of SNL women, watching classic SNL, Rita Rudner was freaking hilarious. She blows by any of the current SNL ladies (and most guys). I would have loved to hang out with her and Murray back then.
Wild speculation time Atlantic: 1st Boston, 2nd Detroit, 3rd Toronto Metropolitan: 1st Pittsburgh, 2nd Washington, 3rd New York Rangers Wildcard: Montreal and Columbus
Pacific: 1st San Jose, 2nd LA, 3rd Anaheim Central: 1st Blackhawks, 2nd St. Louis, 3rd Minisota Wildcard: Vancouver and Dallas
Cup Final is Boston and A team from California.
I'm almost certain that all of this will turn out to be wrong!
Rita Rudner? Next thing you know, Magoonie is going to be talking about violins on television and making Puerto Rico a steak. Next thing you know they're going to want a baked potato and sour cream!
Watching the live debate in the US House on a spending bill to continue military pay after the Republicans force the government to shut down. Confirmed lunatic Louie Gohmert speaking right now.
The only time I clapped at the movies was when I went to see Red State but that's because Kevin Smith and some of the cast were there for a Q&A afterwards.
I wonder if one of the new cast members is going to shake Keenens hand the wrong way and will start getting a depush and not showing up in sketches before 12:45.
Forgot about Brave and the Bold...perfect finale for that show. The Batmite episodes were my favorites so it was great how they tied it up while also making fun of comic fans and TV studio politics.
Kind of an odd choice since it's technically not finished yet, but I'll say Curb Your Enthusiasm....and NOT its last episode. Since Larry David was never sure if he ever wanted to go more seasons or not, he began structuring every season like it could be the "last" so every season finale could've been a series finale. From this we got the epic S3 finale with the restaurant opening, S4 when Larry finally debuts in the Producers, S6 when Larry ends up married to Loretta, and S7 (the best of them all) when we get the Seinfeld reunion show and Larry trying to get back with Cheryl. All could've easily been terrific conclusions to the show as a whole.
I watched a movie tonight. Has anyone ever seen "The Beaver" with Mel Gibson? I just can't help but think that somewhere there is a joke about Gibson, his hand in some beaver, and the Jews being at fault. But I connect the dots.
Quid Pro Quo with Lorne, given how (like Justin Timberlake) Arcade Fire owe Lorne their career and Lorne owes Arcade Fire big time because their episodes bring in big ratings. SNL made Arcade Fire a household name and turned them from obscure hipster band to mainstream art rock gods when they were brought on to promote "Neon Bible" and their second appearance did huge ratings (so much so, that they were brought back for Wiig's final episode as a regular cast member).
The only thing missing from the episode was them not bringing Bowie on-board to help sing "Reflektor", as he does the back-up vocals on the song.
Most people HATE Cera. If anything, Arcade Fire's tratment of Cera (and Cera's digs at the band) were their way to refute the hipster scum elements complete with hipster scum poster boy Cera taking one for the team to preserve the band's reputation from being linked to Cera by having Cera talk shit about them.
Granted, the lack of Bowie on back-up vocals sucked but it was pretty good and they managed to cut the song down in length in a way where it wasn't that noticeable
Me and my friends seem to like Cera OK. I barely know who Arcade Fire is honestly. And I don't really know what a hipster is. Like I've heard the word used in reference to people but I don't know what being a hipster entails. I'm old.
Well said. The production value was always top top notch and it never tried to get to complex or be something it wasn't. Ari and Drama were just such great characters also.
re: your second point: and while we are talking about MTM shows, how about St. Elsewhere? I just love how their finale means that 90%+ of the television universe never existed. What happened after? Not so much: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNWlDPp5lb4
The Fresh Prince finale was good, but I wish they would've given us a clue as to what Will ends up doing with his life. Does he finish college? Does he go back to selling cars? Does he try to become a stand-up comedian again? In my mind, I just decided Will eventually moved to New York and worked on Hillary's show. Dawson's Creek (yeah, I watched it, wanna fight about it?) had a good finale; good enough that I wasn't even upset Dawson and Joey didn't end up together. Friday Night Lights had a good finale, although I wish they could've gone at least another season. I didn't love the Homicide movie finale, but it was solid. I thought they would figure some way to let Bayliss solve the Adena Watson murder (even if just for his own peace of mind), but I liked how it was realistic enough to not give us a satisfying ending.
I actually really disliked that "House" had a happy ending. Not that it wasn't well-written and well-acted, but I really thought that the House character should have ended-up alone and depressed. You reap what you sow, you know? Here's a character that constantly treated those around him like dirt, specifically those that loved him and kept giving him chance after chance, he should have been wallowing after his woman leaves him and his best friend dies.
Plus, the character's main attribute (well, other than being an asshole) was that he always put logic over emotion. I think that ending on the logical note of being alone in the world, as opposed to the emotional ending of getting to have one last hurrah with his best friend, was the way to go.
I'm not saying it was a BAD ending, I just think it should have gone in a different direction.
Ya know, I really think that the final episode of "Monday Nitro" should count. Booker as champion, one last Sting/Flair match, the outdoor setting, and - oh yeah - the absolutely SURREAL announcement of Vince/Shane buying the company... that was something else.
Exactly, there were some loose ends tied up for your benefit, but otherwise you get the feeling that things pretty much carried on as usual at Cheers. And that was cool.
I thought Fresh Prince, Boy Meets World and That 70's Show had great finales. That 70's Show needed one after that dreadful last season. I understand there wasn't much the producers could do if Ashton Kutcher and Topher Grace wanted to leave, but yikes that was awful.
Fresh Prince is a good example of what I was talking about the other day, with giving fans a proper wrap-up. Sure, the show wasn't the most popular- I believe it was almost cancelled because of ratings a couple of times, actually- but the fans who had watched from the start got something for watching from the start.
Very true about not actually doing the alien invasion that we know was coming. I thought I Want To Believe was okay...would have made a solid episode...but how could they not follow up with the alien stuff? And theres no mention at all in the movie. Kind of a slap in the face to the fans. And no mention at all of Doggett. On the bright side...Skinner!
I plan to make it a regular thread. Since its usually quiet here on Saturday Night, I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread that people can talk about anything that is happening (UFC, College Football, Boxing, SNL).
I don't know what the fan base wanted, but it just seemed the whole point of the show was to get Joey and Dawson together and prove that soulmates will always find each other in the end. That said, I see where it made sense that Joey ended up with Pacey. I don't think it's realistic that Dawson would be cool with it as they grew up, though.
Gotcha. Plus, it was weird at the end, Pacey/Joey all happy and together talking to Dawson equally as happy but just because he was working on a Spielburg movie, made him look like an asexual goof
The Girls are awesome, Betty White wrote me a note of thanks for sending her a plush cardinal (she has a collection of plush animals, as per one of her bios)
Justice League (Unlimited) had TWO great endings: the Lexiac battle and Batman Beyond wrapup, and the final battle with Darkseid (complete with World of Cardboard speech, which would have been better if Superman got to kick even more ass)
I loved the Lost finale right up until the point when some dust hit me in the eyes at the end. I had some type of allergic reaction and my eyes teared up..
That's great man. Betty White seems like she's really cool and even at her age can throw down a dirty joke. That muffins sketch she did on SNL cracks me up every time. It's funny how on Golden Girls she can play a love able dimwit yet on The Mary Tyler Moore show she played a complete bitch.
I hated the ending. Vince randomly marrying that girl after one date, mind you, the same girl who said she didn't date actors, was so out of left field.
It was...weird thing, I sent a note to Rue when she first fell ill. Sadly she passed, of course, but some time after that I did get a photo from her. Not sure how legit/up-to-date it was...maybe I'll scan the pic.
Yeah, it was like the first third was "We're set in the '80s, get it?" references (like the 70s Show spinoff of the same decade relied on), and I just lost interest by the final third of the show. I need a balance between the two.
What's BOD's opinion about St. Elsewhere? I just love how their finale means that 90%+ of the television universe never existed. What happened after? Not so much: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...
Yeah, one of my favorites as well. Spike Angel (although I like your idea of a cross between Spike and Kurt Angle) monaloging while fighting is very funny. The movie stuff is good too, changing the characters like Spike being a women. I would also recommend Spike: Asylum and Spike: Shadow Puppets. Both are great stories (written by Bryan Lynch as well, that's how he got the job doing After the Fall actually. He met Joss at a cafe, told him about the two comics he wrote) and have some great characters (Betta George was introduced in Asylum).
We need to name shows like Brittas and JLU that had multiple good endings (as in shows that often wrote their season finals as if it was the series finale, only to be renewed)
What's better? The Arkansas run defense or the teeth on the homeless guy I just saw outside the yard house?
ReplyDeleteMight be a stay in and play GTA night out here
ReplyDeletePAC 12 > SEC...yes I'm biased but my school has a dog shit football team every year so I'm not that biased
ReplyDeleteI finished the main story mode a few days ago, great stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'm barely anywhere in the game. I've just reunited Trevor and Michael. I've been messing around with side shit too much
ReplyDeleteHomeless guy's teeth
ReplyDeleteWhich school is that?
ReplyDeleteLeafs go 5-2-1 in the pre-season. Not bad but it's not like anybody was playing their full major league line-ups.

The question is, who is the odd man out, Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal. Further more, anyone care to predict who makes the play offs on the whole? Season opens Tuesday, so excited!
I stopped following college football when The Big 10 got up, like, seventeen teams.
ReplyDeleteThe East is really stacked. Its tough to pick one.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go with St. Louis vs. New York Rangers in the cup
Tina Fey is funny.
ReplyDeleteBut she got out of control towards the end of her run on SNL, helping to overpush her not-so-funny buddies like Amy Poehler. Poehler is a gifted actress, but her characters on that show sucked. Barely memorable crap. And yet there she was again and again and again and again and again. That show got so much better after Fey left.
UCLA class of 2004
ReplyDeleteJust screwing around in that game is so much fun. Earlier I stole a bus, put it on the freeway blocking traffic. Then I put sticky bombs on the bus and gasoline on the cars behind it. I got a safe distance and the explosion and carnage was glorious. I also like the stunt jumps. Can't wait for Online to start.
ReplyDeleteThey should bring back the Campbell conference
ReplyDeleteBoston College is the local team here. The gave their all against Florida St. today.
ReplyDeleteYeah at least he had a couple
ReplyDeleteMaya Rudolph was not funny at all yet Lorne Michaels pushed her to the max and even turned "Up All Night" into a vehicle for her
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Weekend Update with Tina and Amy though, really good chemistry.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was overkill. personally. Tina and Jimmy were good and Seth and Amy were okay but Tina and Amy together was too much to handle. Amy was not great at jokes. Sketches were her strong suit
ReplyDeleteYeah, Maya never did much for me but I usually enjoyed anything Kristen Wiig did.
ReplyDeleteHer high school TV show bits with Rachel Dratch were really funny, though I suppose that's the exception that proves the rule. Her Donatella Versace is right near the top of the list of "who gives a fuck?" impressions.
ReplyDeleteSNL should be interesting with six new castmembers. Kyle Mooney is hilarious and Beck Bennett is the guy from the ATT commercials with the little kids. I think Taran Killam will break out big this season. He is their strongest castmember, IMO
ReplyDeleteThe Glenda Goodwin character is the worst. She even uses variations of that for 80% of her characters
ReplyDeleteEh, I enjoyed them together. I would enjoy Jimmy more if he didn't piss me off every time he broke character cracking up. Doing it once in a great while is funny and cute. Doing it all the time just got annoying.
ReplyDeleteThe character breaking was bad, him and Horatio Sanz were really tough to watch at times, but Jimmy has really come into his own with his late night show.
ReplyDeleteFor those who voted, the Vader shoot won with 48% of the vote.
ReplyDeleteTaran needs to learn some subtlety. If he does, he'll be unstoppable.
ReplyDeleteThough until he does, I find him unbearable.
On the subject of SNL women, watching classic SNL, Rita Rudner was freaking hilarious. She blows by any of the current SNL ladies (and most guys). I would have loved to hang out with her and Murray back then.
ReplyDeleteDo you mean Gilda Radner? If you do,, then I agree 100%
ReplyDeleteYes he has. The first year or so was rough but he seemed to find his groove with the show.
ReplyDeleteWild speculation time
ReplyDeleteAtlantic: 1st Boston, 2nd Detroit, 3rd Toronto
Metropolitan: 1st Pittsburgh, 2nd Washington, 3rd New York Rangers
Wildcard: Montreal and Columbus

ReplyDeleteYes I meant Gilda Radner, don't mind me, I took a Vicodin about an hour ago and just got the names confused, my bad.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfAC77jWgzs
ReplyDeleteAnyone watching boxing on HBO?
ReplyDeleteWatching the live debate in the US House on a spending bill to continue military pay after the Republicans force the government to shut down. Confirmed lunatic Louie Gohmert speaking right now.
ReplyDeleteAaron Paul making a cameo on SNL
ReplyDeleteJesse on SNL!!!
ReplyDeleteTina Fey is so bad...WHERE ARE THE GLASSES THOUGH!?
ReplyDeleteTina Fey is looking better as she gets older.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, she's looking nice tonight.
ReplyDeleteShe looked smoking at the Emmy's.
ReplyDeleteThe Girls sketch was kinda funny, I've only seen commercials for that show but that looked about right.
ReplyDeleteLooking a bit like Nasim Pedrad.
ReplyDeleteNever even heard of it, but I found it to be biting social commentary.
ReplyDeleteThe show is overrated by critics. The new girl, Noel Wells, did a good job with the Lena Dunham impression
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's what I was thinking too.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it assumed everyone gets HBO? It costs extra, right? Maybe everyone does and I'm just too cheap.
ReplyDeleteWell nowadays with THINGS, you can watch any show you want from any channel.
ReplyDeleteI know it was a cheap joke but the carry on thing made me laugh pretty hard.
ReplyDelete"That was my second-favourite sketch of all time, Monsoon."
ReplyDelete"Your second favourite?"
"Yeah: all the others are tied for first."
"WILL YOU STOP?!"
Next Week: White Trash!
ReplyDeleteI liked that. A harmless and goofy sketch
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing a sketch about twerking too
ReplyDeleteI am waiting with baited breath for the possibility of the Miley Cyrus Show tonight.
ReplyDeleteClapping for a plane landing still is less silly than clapping at a cinema screen.
ReplyDeleteGood odds.
ReplyDeleteProbably, an already tired topic. I wonder how bad she's going to fall on her face.
ReplyDeleteFirst one is too easy.
ReplyDeleteShe hosted a few years ago and did a pretty good job, actually
ReplyDeleteThe only time I clapped at the movies was when I went to see Red State but that's because Kevin Smith and some of the cast were there for a Q&A afterwards.
ReplyDelete"Is it the black one?"
ReplyDeleteLorne's funniest line ever.
eMeth, awesome!
ReplyDeleteFunny line in a dull sketch and I usually really like the game show ones.
ReplyDeleteHuh.
ReplyDeleteWell, this song really sucks live.
I wonder if one of the new cast members is going to shake Keenens hand the wrong way and will start getting a depush and not showing up in sketches before 12:45.
ReplyDeleteFunniest joke I've heard in the last 49 minutes.
ReplyDeleteWhy is that girl in a glass box? Will it start blowing money?
ReplyDeleteI was right all along.
ReplyDeleteArcade Fire sucks.
Yeah, that really did suck.
ReplyDeleteOut on a limb- Florida Panthers will be better than Tampa.
ReplyDeleteI want a sketch with Kanye getting pissed at minor things. Easy i know.
ReplyDeleteThis new girl on Weekend Update started off with two awful jokes
ReplyDeleteThey haven't paid their dues yet
ReplyDeleteRemember: we gave up "The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation With at a Party" for that.
ReplyDeleteThat Cinema Classics sketch sucked
ReplyDeleteIs he supposed to be a raccoon?
ReplyDeleteHe has the eyeblack on so he can wear Kane's mask later.
ReplyDeleteHe is paying homage to the Repo Man
ReplyDeleteI've said it before and I'll say it again:
ReplyDeleteArcade Fire is not made up of musical geniuses. It's made up of a bunch of idiots who throw shit at the wall and come up lucky. No one realizes this.
YES!!!! THE PORNSTARS!
ReplyDeleteThat was really funny, surprised it went on last. The hamster/Kia joke had me laughing pretty hard.
ReplyDeleteMore Arcade Fire? What did we do so wrong to deserve that?
ReplyDelete*Yawn* sure they are. Oregon and Stanford are legit, but the rest of the conference is garbage.
ReplyDeleteThe solar eclipse was the winner for me.
ReplyDeleteFranco!
ReplyDelete"I'll take Shakira over this noise" thank you Micheal Cera!
ReplyDeleteJust when you think things can't get even more pretentious, Bono shows up.
ReplyDeleteThat Arcade Fire guy was a bit of a dick to Cera, "you put the mic in asshole! Don't bother me while I play this guitar as badly as possible"
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought Bono was pretentious
ReplyDeleteI love Zach! "the music in here sounds bad"
ReplyDeleteWho did Arcade Fire blow to get all these cameos?
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of their carefully studio-controlled sell-out album so far compared to their other stuff.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with selling out. It did wonders for the New Pornographers (even though it didn't work.)
This looks like something for the Wyatt Family.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, selling out is viewed as a bad thing but sometimes when a band has some good direction and help in the studio it can do wonders.
ReplyDeleteForgot about Brave and the Bold...perfect finale for that show. The Batmite episodes were my favorites so it was great how they tied it up while also making fun of comic fans and TV studio politics.
ReplyDeleteFInding out his Dad dies hit me pretty hard.

ReplyDeleteYou laughed at my fantasy booking.
ReplyDeleteNow watch Reflektor be AOTY and curb stomp Daft Punk's Random Access Memories when it comes out
Go listen to your Neutral Milk Hotel CDs hipster scum
ReplyDeleteArcade Fire rules..........
It wasn't that bad.
ReplyDeleteGranted, the lack of Bowie on back-up vocals sucked but it was pretty good and they managed to cut the song down in length in a way where it wasn't that noticeable
I never laughed at your fantasy booking. I always thought they were funny in a batshit insane sort of way.
ReplyDeleteMe and my friends seem to like Cera OK. I barely know who Arcade Fire is honestly. And I don't really know what a hipster is. Like I've heard the word used in reference to people but I don't know what being a hipster entails. I'm old.
ReplyDeleteGood point. One of my favorite shows ever. Everytime I see Marty Funkhouser I think of Johnny Ace, and vice versa.
ReplyDeleteThank you! After Newhart, NO ONE should be able to do the dream ending trope again, it cannot be topped.
ReplyDeleteWell said. The production value was always top top notch and it never tried to get to complex or be something it wasn't. Ari and Drama were just such great characters also.
ReplyDeletere: your second point: and while we are talking about MTM shows, how about St. Elsewhere? I just love how their finale means that 90%+ of the television universe never existed. What happened after? Not so much: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNWlDPp5lb4
ReplyDeleteWhen Ben says sorry to Locke...
ReplyDeleteThe Fresh Prince finale was good, but I wish they would've given us a clue as to what Will ends up doing with his life. Does he finish college? Does he go back to selling cars? If can explain for me, why are Arcade Fire so revered?
ReplyDeleteThe stories you could tell if you hung out with her and Murray.
ReplyDeleteReally that goes for anyone on SNL in the '70s.
Were there a lot of people rooting for Dawson/Joey? I watched it in kind of a bubble but was big time hoping for Pacey/Joey
ReplyDeleteFuj sways opinion.
ReplyDeleteI actually really disliked that "House" had a happy ending. Not that it wasn't well-written and well-acted, but I really thought that the House character should have ended-up alone and depressed. You reap what you sow, you know? I'm not saying it was a BAD ending, I just think it should have gone in a different direction.
Also, Hugh Laurie is a god amongst actors.
Ya know, I really think that the final episode of "Monday Nitro" should count. Booker as champion, one last Sting/Flair match, the outdoor setting, and - oh yeah - the absolutely SURREAL announcement of Vince/Shane buying the company... that was something else.
ReplyDeleteExactly, there were some loose ends tied up for your benefit, but otherwise you get the feeling that things pretty much carried on as usual at Cheers.
ReplyDeleteAnd that was cool.
I'm UCLA class of 2001. It's so sad to see Lane Kiffin go. I wanted to see him stick around for years to come.
ReplyDeleteI thought Fresh Prince, Boy Meets World and That 70's Show had great finales. That 70's Show needed one after that dreadful last season. I understand there wasn't much the producers could do if Ashton Kutcher and Topher Grace wanted to leave, but yikes that was awful.

Sure, the show wasn't the most popular- I believe it was almost cancelled because of ratings a couple of times, actually- but the fans who had watched from the start got something for watching from the start.
That show was far better written than people give it credit for.
ReplyDeleteI forgot that one. Might be my favorite series finale of all.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have done it that way, either, but then, I would have done the final couple of years differently.
ReplyDeleteAnd still finish in the bottom 3 of the division with Tampa and Buffalo.
ReplyDeleteVery true about not actually doing the alien invasion that we know was coming. I thought I Want To Believe was okay...would have made a solid episode...but how could they not follow up with the alien stuff? And theres no mention at all in the movie. ReplyDeleteThe BoD Trendsetter?

ReplyDeleteSee, this is what happens when you don't read the inter-departmental memos!
ReplyDeleteThis week we're all street-wise cops whose gruff exteriors conceal a heart of gold.
So, get down to props and pick up your badge, gun, and giant 70's wig...
God damnit...
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, he would end up alone as soon as Wilson died.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that was it: Pacey needed his woman to keep his life in order, while Dawson just needed his movies.
ReplyDeleteThe Girls are awesome, Betty White wrote me a note of thanks for sending her a plush cardinal (she has a collection of plush animals, as per one of her bios)
ReplyDeleteJustice League (Unlimited) had TWO great endings: the Lexiac battle and Batman Beyond wrapup, and the final battle with Darkseid (complete with World of Cardboard speech, which would have been better if Superman got to kick even more ass)
ReplyDeleteI loved the Lost finale right up until the point when some dust hit me in the eyes at the end. I had some type of allergic reaction and my eyes teared up..
ReplyDeleteMy favorites endings are: Lost, Spooks, Newhart, Six Feet Under and my favorite (of the moment) would be The Shield.. such a great ending that was...
ReplyDeleteThat's great man. Betty White seems like she's really cool and even at her age can throw down a dirty joke. That muffins sketch she did on SNL cracks me up every time. It's funny how on Golden Girls she can play a love able dimwit yet on The Mary Tyler Moore show she played a complete bitch.
ReplyDeleteThey are the saviors of rock and roll.
ReplyDeleteThat is why they are revered..............
I hated the ending. Vince randomly marrying that girl after one date, mind you, the same girl who said she didn't date actors, was so out of left field.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying Golden Palace on the other hand...
ReplyDeleteI do have those issues, one of my favorites actually. Especially when Spike Angle gets emotional and starts crying.
ReplyDeleteIt was...weird thing, I sent a note to Rue when she first fell ill. Sadly she passed, of course, but some time after that I did get a photo from her. Not sure how legit/up-to-date it was...maybe I'll scan the pic.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was like the first third was "We're set in the '80s, get it?" references (like the 70s Show spinoff of the same decade relied on), and I just lost interest by the final third of the show. I need a balance between the two.
ReplyDeleteWhat's BOD's opinion about St. Elsewhere? I just love how their finale means that 90%+
ReplyDeleteof the television universe never existed. What happened after? Not so
much: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...
ReplyDeleteWe need to name shows like Brittas and JLU that had multiple good endings (as in shows that often wrote their season finals as if it was the series finale, only to be renewed)
ReplyDeleteHow is Brock Lesnar a lazy fuck?
ReplyDeleteNice, I'll definitely give those a read.
ReplyDeleteUhhh...Breaking Bad! Wow!
