My picks for this week are:
Indianapolis (-8) vs. Jacksonville
Dallas (-2) vs. San Diego
Baltimore (-3.5) vs. Buffalo
Last week: 1-2
Season: 3-3
Talk about anything related to the NFL here.

Damn, I just teased Indy and it was at 9.5. Ppl are loving Indy if its gone from 8 to 9.5 in a few hours
ReplyDeleteJacksonville is so bad that its hard to not bet against them.
ReplyDeleteYea, def a big move on the action. I think jax has a legit chance of going 16-0
ReplyDeleteI was tempted to take Pittsburgh over Minnesota, who has Matt Cassel at QB, but I still don't trust Pittsburgh enough.

ReplyDeleteNot a great slate of games this week, that's for sure.
I actually think Cassells an improvement over Ponder. They both suck though, and Cassell will prob pprove me wrong and go like 11/26 for 98 yds and 3 ints
ReplyDeleteYeah, Atlanta/New England tonight is the best matchup for today.
ReplyDeleteMiami/New Orleans should be decent tomorrow night
Ha. Just read that. I live in Clearwater and get Bucs/Cards as my only 100
ReplyDeleteHere in the Boston area, we get Min/Pit and Giants/Chiefs.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling like this week could be surprisingly entertaining... Broncos putting up Oregon-like numbers against Kelly and Eagles, Texans-Seahawks might be surprisingly close, and there'll probably be at least one shocker.
ReplyDeleteHa. Wow.
ReplyDeleteYea. Eagles broncos should at least be entertaining. Texans/Seahawks is the best day game by far. Pats/Falcons should be good ttonight
ReplyDeleteMan, the Giants look sad on offense
ReplyDeleteEnd of an era. Coughlin won't survive. I have high hopes for next year though
ReplyDeleteYea, their o line is killing them. 9 wins wins the nfc east...so I can see them getting hot and making a run to 9 wins
ReplyDeleteHouston and Buffalo gunning for upsets so far.
ReplyDeleteSo Brian Hoyer seems fucking legit.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to care about what's going on today when your team played Thursday
ReplyDeleteOr plays Monday Night.
ReplyDeleteLooks like New York is gonna have 2 goodbye tours(Mariano and Coughlin)
ReplyDeleteYep, I wonder if the league is aware of this undercurrent? I'll watch my team no matter what, but it's damn hard to enjoy NFL under the current TV system. Too many stoppages, so much wasted time, cheesy over the top pre/post/during game cut ins, lousy musical choices. They might sell a lot more "big" matchups now, but I watched a lot more football when I was younger
ReplyDeleteYea, but theyll never take that game off their network. I thought I heard last year they were even thinking of trying to incorporate a Friday game into the schedule.
ReplyDeleteThe Thursday game's just a pit, they should just take Saturday nights, College be damned. Or crib off ESPN, and share Mondays, 7PM east coast themed game, 10pm west coast themed
ReplyDeleteLegit is relative here. Being better than Brandon Weeden means little. The Browns need a blue chip QB or trading Richardson was a waste.
ReplyDeleteIt's so weird wanting your team to lose.
ReplyDeleteFuck Jay Cutler
ReplyDeleteThe Steelers are just awful.
ReplyDeleteI wouldnt mind the friday as opposed to Thursday, the nfl game on the nfl network is here for awhile though, whether we like it or not.
ReplyDeleteDude look at his numbers this and last week. He got a win last week and has them up today. What more can he do?
ReplyDeleteRichardson sucked also I thought. Stupid pick to begin with
ReplyDeletePlease dont choke Texans
ReplyDeleteHe reminds me of Frank Reich and I think would be a brilliant #2 guy. Living through Derek Anderson I'm always skeptical of these guys until they get through their second season. Perhaps he could be a Joe Flacco type and the way this D is playing that could be good enough, especially if they can somehow land that Clowney kid.
ReplyDeleteGoddamned Browns can't even tank right.
ReplyDeleteSeahawks! what a comeback.
ReplyDeleteThat was very impressive.
ReplyDeleteHas any team blatantly tanked a season in the NFL as hard as Jacksonville is tanking this year? Not only are they not trying to win games, they're not even pretending to try to win games, nor are they making token efforts to keep their fans interested. Hard to watch.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't even try to assemble a talented roster.
ReplyDeleteCan't take anymore of this Raiders-Redskins suckfest. Tapping out until the Sunday night game.
ReplyDeleteAlso, glad to see the Panthers didn't find a way to tap out to the bye week.
Wait, they beat the Giants 38-0 last week. They should avoid criticism at least this week, I'd think...
ReplyDeleteBrian Hoyer is getting the job done.
ReplyDeleteSo did Kelly Holcomb and Derek Anderson.
ReplyDeleteGive it a few weeks.
Oh, I have no faith in him over the long run but he is getting wins now and ultimately decreasing their chances of landing a franchise QB in the draft next year
ReplyDeleteMy Steelers are circling the drain. I'd much rather have them not look like dog shit, but Taylor Lewan would look nice in B&G.
ReplyDeleteThey need a lot of help. The O-Line is a start though
ReplyDeleteI think that if they get that fixed, they have enough offensive talent to be competitive at least on that side of the ball. Their highly overrated defense is a bigger concern to me, although most Steelers fans romanticize the shit out of Dick LeBeau and his scheme. I think it, and the personnel in it, is dated as fuck.
ReplyDeletePrescient.
ReplyDeleteId pay alot of money to be able to punch Jim Schwartz in the face.
ReplyDeleteThey need a playmaker on offense too. They should pick up a running back in the 2nd or 3rd round next year.
ReplyDeleteI would do it for free.
ReplyDeleteThreadjack:
ReplyDeleteI just won the BoD Fantasy Baseball League
They need to put Bell behind a decent line for a year or two before they use a high round pick on another back.
ReplyDeleteI think Antonio Brown is a game changer - but they need to get the ball to him down field more often when they aren't down 20.
Hes got that fucking face you just want to hit, and all his mannerisms are so annoying. He reminds me of the guy you play pick up basketball with whos fouling you real fucking hard, setting terrible tackle like screens, and insists on shooting FTs. I want him and Tyler Perry to fight to the death.
ReplyDeleteI teased the Falcons and over, but don't feel great about it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats.
ReplyDeleteThey should compliment him with a speed back. Maybe get a pass catching tight end
ReplyDeleteMiller caught 71 passes and 8 touchdowns last year. They definitely have a pass catching tight end.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the speed back, but behind this line there isn't a fast enough back on earth to get outside.
How old is Miller though and when is his contract up? He might be gone after the season.
ReplyDeleteThere coach makes at least three absolutely horrible decisions a game. Going for it on 4th was one of them
ReplyDeleteHe's about to turn 31 and is signed through next year. If he isn't a Steeler for at least 3 years after this one, I'll eat my hat.
ReplyDeleteHe was their MVP last year, he's the biggest fan favorite on the team, and he's a top 5 TE in terms of overall blocking/recieving skill.
Zero chance. None. Zip. Nada.
WHAT THE FUCK ARE THE FALCONS DOING?!
ReplyDeleteThey beat what is starting to look like the worst team in the league. Arizona is next week which should be a winnable game, but never doubt the ability of Ron Rivera to find new ways of losing.
ReplyDeleteTheir secondary looks like complete crap. Tom Brady isn't that good.
ReplyDeleteThey're being the Falcons. All the talent in the world, poised for a superbowl, and they do this.
ReplyDeleteThey're the Chargers of the NFC, or atleast the Chargers from a few years ago
Haha hey now..
ReplyDeleteFor the last few years Jay Cutler has held the "face you want to punch" title and after today he still does. Schwartz may be gaining though.
ReplyDeletePaper champions but not nearly as unlikable as the LaDanian Tomlinson Chargers.
ReplyDeleteThey are getting carved up by a rookie free agent.
ReplyDeleteTalib is the Patriots MVP so far.
I think he is in a contract year. Dude just made himself like 30 million. Hopefully, he can stay out of trouble until then.
ReplyDeleteAnd Talib just won the game for them right there
ReplyDeleteMizark Sanchez says hello.
ReplyDeleteYou must not follow the Steelers. That is not how the Rooneys rebuild. At all. Sure, he could be cut. But not at 31 coming off the best year of his career. He's in his prime.
ReplyDeleteAnd "anyone" can be cut, but there are about a dozen guys that wouldn't be. Ben, AB, Pouncey, Miller, DeCastro, Timmons, Jones, Thomas, Bell and a few others are perfectly safe.
He was a beast last night. Roddy White has the bad ankle but still Talib was all over him.
ReplyDeleteOne biggest difference I saw between Ryan and Brady was that Brady had the ability to put the ball right where it needed to be and Ryan forced his receivers to make spectacular catches.
ReplyDelete
