Sounds great *turns on N64*.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to playing it myself tonight. Just picked it up on the way home from work.
ReplyDeleteNo Tecmo Wrestling tonight?
ReplyDeleteI hate that twitch is blocked at work, otherwise I would watch this - Do you upload streams to youtube or blip, after?
ReplyDeleteI think Twitch Auto archives it. If it doesn't I'll be taking a break and set it to do so.
ReplyDeleteHoping this edition gets the "half off on black friday on amazon" deal like 'e 13.
ReplyDeleteI saw one black friday ad has it for $40
ReplyDeleteTo be fair Tom Talker has better commentary than most modern WWE games.
ReplyDeleteyeah, that's the backup plan.
ReplyDeletepart of the reason I'm fine with waiting is that I really want the DLC moves- both from the outright DLC moves packs and from Scott Steiner having the screwdriver- before I get the game.
haha no
ReplyDeleteGot it myself today as well (PS3 version). So far I have noticed a lot of small yet very good improvements from last year.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest improvement is load times are much much quicker, this makes it to me infinitely better than 13 which had atrociously long loading screens. Also happy to see they have the current NXT arena in it, now I know where all my CAW slots are going. :P
A sausage tree? Really?! That may just be the stupidest thing ever, besides Jesse Baker's usual, of course.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fucked up segment. You should try to see if it is on YouTube (My work computer blocked out YouTube).
ReplyDeleteI prefer NES Pro Wrestling. The only reason being because The Amazon will eat your fucking face, you maggot. A winner is ALWAYS you!
ReplyDeleteYeah, for the time being I'll stick with Wind Waker HD.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your review good sir
ReplyDeleteThank You. Every Tuesday night and Sunday afternoon I post my WWF reviews. They are all in chronological order.
ReplyDelete"Defeat The Streak" is really easy. Beat it first try using Eddie Guerrero. I figured "Dead Man vs. Dead Man" would give me an advantage.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, love it.
ReplyDeleteWow, they must have seriously set up buffet trays full of hard drugs backstage throughout the 80s.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like this game is just a mea culpa for that Legends of Wrestlemania game with that terrible control style. I wish they would take that idea and use it with the Attitude Era idea from the last game and have a full on 90s game with the current control style. Not just WWF and not just strictly Attitude guys.
ReplyDeleteRight. I'll take No Mercy or Revenge any day of the week
ReplyDeletePopped 2K14 into my PS3 last night and this morning and worked my way through some of the WrestleMania matches. Blew through the first 7 Manias no problem, but for whatever reason, facing Flair at WM8 is killing me. I just couldn't beat the level the 3-4 times I tried this morning. There's no way Flair was being fair to me.
ReplyDeleteAlso, one of the things bothering me about the game was JR and the King reading commentary from Monsoon and Ventura, with JR giving the most passive reading possible of comments Gorilla did with some serious passion. I may have to resume my tactic of turning the sound off when I play, it was really irking me.
Also, why the hell did they go back to heel Michael Cole for commentary on regular matches?
They have never been able to get a good commentary track from JR in these games.
ReplyDeleteThe JR/King commentary bugged me as well, though I had no idea they were reading off original commentary.
I actually found myself quoting some of the commentary along as they were saying it. My girlfriend was definitely looking at me in a "why do I date you?" type of way.
ReplyDeleteI wish they would have held off doing the WM mode until TNA went under and they could get bring back guys like Angle, Hardy, Dudley Boyz, etc.
ReplyDeleteBut I guess '31 Years of Wrestlemania' mode doesn't have the same ring to it.
