Wife and I got the house to ourselves (daughter is at her grandma's house) tonight. No interest in going out...too many crazies out there.I don't drink (both by choice and because of health issues anyway) so you'd think this would be a quiet, peaceful night...yet these dumb ass punks are firing guns in the air at my apartment complex.
Just watched the first disc of the new Chris Hero shoot( It is a five hour long shoot by the way) and I have to say that he comes across as a great guy. He is not looking to bury anyone at all and is not bitter in the slightest.
...and now the police are here. Fuck this mess...time to hit up Netflix until the countdown. Still feels weird that Dick Clark is dead and he's not doing the countdown anymore, even though it's been a couple of years now.
Just chillin tonight cause I don't drink anyway. I volunteered to work tomorrow cause it's time and a half plus an extra vacation day so I wouldn't be able to go out regardless
What I usually do is say "my phone is about to die. I only have 10% battery left." if I am still on with them 3-4 minutes later, I say "I got 2% left. I have to" and then hang up.
I am working now too at 9am. Came back from dinner and a party I was going to got cancelled so I will be here tonight. Better than last year when I was home with the flu
There's a New Years Ball drop type of thing in Cleveland. It's snowing and 21 degrees and my friends are bitching about it. Glad I got sick two days ago and stayed in.
Also, watching Forever Hardcore which is cool because its a little more honest than the WWE one but at the same time it's kinda sucky because there's no footage.
I had a stroke a couple of years ago, and seeing him in those last years struggle to finish the countdown was rough. Thankfully mine was minor, but I had some speech difficulty myself for a bit. That's frustrating to struggle with, and I can imagine how he felt.
The funny thing is, before his stroke, it's like the sonofabitch did not age. One of my buddies used to say that Clark actually died in 1974 and was replaced by a hologram.
Meh...I work for an evil corporation with shit benefits. Oh, and they actually *cut* our hours during the Christmas season. Been looking for a new job for a bit now.
Oh yeah, I'm good...it was as minor as a stroke could be and still be considered a stroke as opposed to a TIA. Still scared the shit out of me, as I'm only 35, although my grandfather died of his at the age of 48. Runs in my family hardcore too. One of the reasons why I'm quitting smoking. Well, cigarettes in any case (put weed on hold until I get a better paying job)
Meh...I've been on the phone with someone and they actually WERE on the damn toilet. 'You fuckin' feeb, take it off speakerphone...I ain't trying to hear no "plop plop" every few minutes'.
I used to be about a pack a day, but cut it down to about two or three cigs a day recently. At one point, I HAD quit completely...quit cold turkey, and it lasted for about a year. Had my stroke, got fired while in the hospital, and started right back up.
I think it's law that all bosses are stupid. At my job we say the company makes money in spite of the people that run it, kinda like another company we are all familiar with.
Not for me. I started ddpyoga 4 months ago and lost 15% of my body weight so far. The problem with new years resolutions is that most people quit after a few weeks and people don't change their behavior for the right reasons.. If you don't like something about yourself, it is a forever process and you need to truly want that change
There's jobs, but I'm in so much debt that I need to find something with higher pay. I used to make about $40/k a year, but when I lost that job (see below) I've been unable to find anything but part time work, or stuff that pays about $10/hr tops. I'm making $10.50/hr but not enough to pay the bills, rent, ect. I'm getting to the point where I'm tired of having to start over at the bottom when I switch jobs inevitably, because by the time I DO work my way back up, I'm going to be too old to stick around there. Not going to give up, cause I'm gonna MAKE something happen. I need to start my music productions back up again. About 11 years ago I was able to make a decent living without a steady job, but these days there's no real money in selling music as much.
There's always bulimia or anorexia, that seems to work. Just don't go too far with it, find a good balance. Also don't be gross about it, I saw a video in school about a bulimic girl who threw up in jars and hid the jars in her closet. Don't be that person.
The problem is I'm on the other end of the spectrum. While I workout, I barely changed my eating habits. I'll eat the occasional salad and what not but I've never been able to commit full-time.
Quit smoking cigs for good. Weight loss is already happening...lost 45 pounds since 11 April of this year (soon to be last year). Got 20 more pounds to go and I'm there.
Stomach crunches, dude. That's what I've been doing, although I do have an excess of loose skin now...I'm hoping I don't end up having to have surgery to remove it, because it's looking pretty nasty IMHO.
You can say that again. I few years ago I kinda managed a guy doing the music thing. Helped him press some cd's and what not. It was right before the whole industry fell of a cliff. He got into vending machines and I hear he's doing pretty good.
See I can't tell if mine is loose fat or just fat. I still weigh 300 lbs, but I'm muscle everywhere except the stomach. Got a Homer Simpson going on right there.
When I'm trying to drop a few lbs I do circuit training for my workout. Usually 45 seconds of jump rope between sets. Fucking burns a shit load of calories. Obviously you wear yourself down so your lifts won't be as effective but nice change of pace, at least for me.
The Peter Principle. You are promoted based on your competence at your current job. Eventually one is promoted one step too far so they will become incompetent at their current job.
I tried that a few years ago and it didn't seem to work to well. The most success I had was playing basketball in the summer heat. The weight came back in the winter of course.
Yeaa check it out, I dug it. Gives a more up to date, current aspect, plus has some cool stuff the other documentaries didn't have, like showing the wrestlers in between that period of the company shutting down and the invasion, and them really not knowing what the hell is going on
That's the GREAT thing about bulimia, you don't have to change any eating habits. Seriously, a few years ago I totally changed the way I ate, not just a diet but a complete turn around on how I looked at and ate food. It's helped tremendously, I feel good, eat healthy and since 2011 I've lost about 80 pounds. It is doable and not as hard as you think.
I've eaten ice cream every day since April. Secret is, I eat only a couple of spoons, just enough to get the flavor. A Ben & Jerry's usually lasts me a week and a half. I don't eat past 7pm unless I' working late, only have a soda a week (usually). I eat constantly, but smaller portions.
Oh, and salad's ace and all, but *don't* smother it in dressing. Actually, the secret is using vinegar instead (and add crushed black pepper). Vinegar is naturally fat free, tastes good (at least red wine vinegar), and adds 'pop' to your salad.
Girlfriend has work in the morning and she is already knocked out, not sure what I'll do. No big deal really, new years eve is just another day to me, could care less if I party or whatnot
I cant keep ice cream in my house. Its my one nemesis. Eat really healthy for the most part but ice cream is my weakspot. Seriously cant control myself around it
The way to do it is to not try and go on a diet, that's not gonna work. You have to totally reinvent the way you eat. Count calories and do the math. And don't beat yourself up or quit because you eat something bad, it's fine to eat a little junk. While losing weight is of course the goal, try to make the main goal being healthy.
I've done music and sound mixing for 'adult entertainment' (not porn either), and had previously done music for freeware games, I have a friend who is an 'erotic hypnotist' and have done some projects for her, although now with torrents and other file sharing practices, the money dried up. These days, I'm back to doing my own stuff, but it gets frustrating when I'm hearing sounds I did a decade + ago on the radio, but back then I couldn't get a deal because my stuff was 'too weird'. The good part is though is at least I can do whatever the hell I want without having to change anything for commercial reasons.
I keep hoping though that something changes and things go back to the way they were, but once that box opened, there's no stuffing the shit back in.
I'm trying to remain optimistic, but there is 10 years of history I'm fighting against. I think the biggest battle is that I actually like eating junk and don't enjoy eating healthy food.
For me, the best way is to take out one or two bad things a month. For example, one month I said no more to soda. The next month, I said no more to going to fast food (except when it is necessary) and to make my meals. The next month I said that for dessert, I will chew gum instead of having cake or ice cream or whatever.
I don't ever see that genie going back in the bottle. The only way to make money would probably be through licensing to games, movies or tv, something like that.
Every kid I bump into is a rapper nowadays. More rappers than fans so I'm wondering how they even marketing to.
I'm more of a tech guy so I thought of trying to do something with the internet. I'm a bedroom dj and I always wanted to have a show even if I'm paying to produce it.
Yea. Hoops is awesome workout. The only advice I give people, get alot of patients who ask, is to use the harris benedict calculator/formula. Its pretty spot on
i am going to make it one of the choices for next week. It is short (under two hours) and I am flying to Florida on the 9th so I wont review something long
Good for you man. Losing a chunk of weight like that feels great. Quitting cigs feels good although I still have the occasional craving. Think that'll ever go away entirely?
They market to each other, really. Guy A does something, Guy B buys it, samples stuff on it and releases something which guy C buys...and guy A buys guy C's stuff and samples something off of that. It's like that famous picture of the fish eating each other.
I'm trying to do what I did previously and try to make a new genre of music, and experimenting like hell, even if it initially sounds like shitfuck.
I stayed home this year. Too cold to go to NYC with the ex and to be honest the cops are acting stupid and I got Chipotle so I'll watch documentaries until midnight.
It will. Whenever you have a craving, just remind yourself that you're saving a shit ton of money, and that you're not polluting your lungs with nasty shit that doesn't even make you feel good, the fact it smells like shit, ect.
I haven't quit entirely yet, but I'm just about there.
I smoked for a while, quit in 2005 for good, and cant believe they are about $10 a pack up here in Mass. Now, I am absolutely disgusted by cigarette smoke.
Roma is a legit, no bullshit guy. Some of it might read at bitterness but he admits he was happy with his career. He has some great stories too and a brand new rib involving shit that the Rockers pulled. I think everyone from that era has their own personal Rocker/Shit rib
Phase 1-Weeks 1-3: No fast food/junk food Phase 2-Weeks 4-6: No artificial colors/sweeteners (no white sugar or flour) Phase 3-Weeks 7-9: No red meat phase 4-Weeks 10-12: No dairy Phase 5-Weeks 13-16: Daniel's fast: Vegan diet-only organic vegetables and natural fruit juices/water.
That sounds doable.....until week 7. Me and red meat are too close to each other to part ways. That's going to take some doing. I will go on record and admit that you are a better man than I am.
In a way, it already has. I do everything myself, at home, and it costs nothing to do, so whenever I want to lay some tracks down, I can. I'm going to *finally* make my music available for sale again, and whatever I make is pure profit. More importantly. I get to create without any kind of pressure whenever I want to. Can't beat that, really.
This first week kicks my ass because I'm the guy that goes to Subway after a workout. Getting all the junk food out of the house wasn't easy this time around.
I admit it...during my mark days I was a fan of Roma. He was one of the few jobbers who go offense in, and I was always pulling for him to pull off the upset. Same with Jim Powers.
They have trout camps that are broken into two groups from what I believe, those who have experience and the one who have never wrestled at all. You can contact them I believe for the begineers class and see if they will call you back for a tryout ( I think)
Nothing beats that. Back when I managing, I did a lot on the creative side too, kind of a learn as I go type thing and it made me alive inside. I was working full-time also but it didn't feel draining at all, just the opposite.
I pulled the trigger and bought a used Nintendo Wii off Amazon. Comes with the console, controller, nunchuck, A/V cords, sensor, stand. Total was $67 and I used a gift card to buy it. Any games you guys recommend to get to start off?
There's nothing better, right on. Music's the most addictive drug there is. I enjoy going to unsigned artist sites and listening to random tracks. Hell, I find better music doing that than ANYTHING on what passes for radio these days. I make it a point to listen to something by someone I've never heard each week or so.
I'd love to see a post-Mania crowd properly rebel. Like, not just cheering for Bryan/Fandango/whomever, but actively rejecting stuff like that 15-minute Orton/Sheamus trainwreck.
If every HHH/Orton/Big Show/Cena etc segment on the post-Mania Raw was met with an audible "Same old shit!", that would have far more impact than people getting behind Bryan/Punk/Ziggler/Wyatts etc.
HHH gets beat up a lot here and most of it deservingly so; however, I'm going to spend a post putting the guy over.
I think it's great that he actually acknowledges the fans exist. I just watched a video of him answering fans questions about the performance center. He didn't say anything out of character but it's better than the f--- you Vince would give. Hey, it's something.
Fucker was athletic as hell, too. In either 1987 or 88 Survivor Series, he freaking jumped from the mat straight to the top turnbuckle and in one movement turned around and did a move. You just didn't see that back then. He sold well, too. Wasn't the worst promo in the world, either. In WCW, though, it seemed like his ring ability wasn't as good as it had been previously.
Now that we are having this conversation, it's made me realize how much I miss doing something, anything creatively. I'm not the CEO type so I don't want to be in charge of anything, but I'd love to help someone out again.
He got fucked over and told he was going to lose at the last second, because they were going with younger talent and he was considered older. So, he basically decided he didnt give a fuck if he lost his job or not and decided to go out there and show what he could do. He joked, when he dropped an elbow from the top, that he could have eaten a sandwich before he landed.
it was really young into his career. He comes across as a great guy though and smiles the entire time but there isnt much at all so far. He did talk a bit about being in developmental when they used Memphis as a territory
I'm trying to do the same thing too. One of my goals is trying to get a label started that caters towards the experimental music market. I have very diverse tastes anyway (Brian Eno, the Beach Boys, Dr Dre, and the Beatles share hard drive space with Tom Waits, Daniel Johnston, Scott Weiland, and Marina & The Diamonds) and would love to help someone break. I majored in music production, and the thing I loved most was the free studio time, and the fact my grade was based off of producing a fellow college student.
HHH gets shit on a bit too much around here, has he deserved it at times, sure but I don't think he should be as vilified. Also, I think if he took over creative 100% with no on air role to protect, I think the WWE would have better shows. I can see him booking a solid promotion with a southern style edge.
That sounds pretty cool. I grew up in the hip-hop era but my mom listened to blues, motown, and that old gospel. Like Mahalia Jackson old gospel. So a lot of that rubbed off on me.
Not that I am an expert or anything, but if anyone has some questions about shoot interviews, I would be glad to answer them. I have a lot of them in my possession if that helps
Oh yeah. My dad was older (he was 46 when I was born), and I grew up listening to BB King, John Lee Hooker, ect. He also had a diverse music taste as well, so I think that's where I got it from.
True story...I mainly listened to 60s & 70s rock as a teenager. Came home from school one day and heard Alanis Morrisette blaring. It was my dad, who was in his 60s at the time. Next day, it was Joan Osbourne. Next thing I know, Dad's telling me that I should mix my love of music and songwriting (I started writing music at the age of 11) with my love of computers and technology. 'Son, in a few years all of music is going to be done entirely on computers...get on it'. So, in a way, I kind of owe my career (such as it is) to him.
For a while, there was a Youube account that would post the shoots under funny names, like Bad News Brown was titled "Andre's Toilet" but the user's accounts kept getting shutdown
Kinda reminds me of my mom. She was the musically inclined one. She sung in the choir at church and had some kind of Diana Ross and the Supremes knock off group. She kind of scared me when she went through a rap phase in her 50's
Watching this match you'd think Roma was the biggest face in wrestling. In 10 minutes he completely won over the crowd. Great work even if it got him fired.
My wife's the same way as me...hell, that was part of how we connected. We listen to the same stuff (which is, everything except Tejano music and modern country) I started writing music around the time I met her, and now she's my main collaborator.
My mom supposedly also had diverse music tastes as well, but I didn't know her well at all (didn't see her after the divorce when I was six for 17 years, until I finally found her a week before she died).
I think I'm over my writer's block...right after the ball drops I'm gonna do some recording.
After several questions asking if he has ever fucked Tammy Sytch, Sabu said he never did but told a story about how Tammy offered to show him her tits for 50 pills and he agreed, but only gave her 35.
18 degrees here in New York. Just got home watching twilight zone marathon on sci fi. Wife and 10 month old daughter are sleeping. Got the Goldberg Blu-Ray last week about to watch his WWE matches. Watching the WCW portion made me remember how unbelievably over he was. I'll admit... I'm a huge Goldberg mark. Happy new year to all on the blog
I'm almost certain he was indeed drunk. Haven't seen the PPV in years, but IIRC Schiavone was getting legit irritated with him, especially with him wanting to see the replay for the ending of this very Wright v Roma match, knowing full well that the ending was a bit of a screw job.
50/35 pills just to see her tits? What kind of pills were they? I'm guessing they had to cost a decent amount. And all Sabu got was to see her tits. I mean, back in the day she had a smoking body but how much is it really worth it just to see the tatas.
So I'm waiting for the ball to drop, and have it on NatGeo for this 80s history marathon, and I see this commercial for something called 'Cat's Meow'. I hate cats, but am I the only one who thinks this is a terrible idea for a pet toy? For those who have not seen it...basically, it's this product where a round cloth is on the ground. There is a mechanical fuckamaroo that spins around in a circle, tricking the cat to thinking there is a mouse under the cloth. The cat tries to get it, and when it applies pressure, the 'mouse' changes directions. Cats are already unpleasant creatures...why piss them off further?!
My niece is talking my ear off. I need a nice way to get her off the phone.
ReplyDeleteGoing to a party with a bunch of rich couples and...three single women.
ReplyDeleteI should brush up on my pickup artist.
Or do a reverse Pretty Woman.
Ring in the new year, watch Child's Play 2. Sleep til whenever tomorrow or whenever my toddler wakes up.
ReplyDeleteWOOOOO! Happy new year you fuckers! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteyou = lifesaver
ReplyDeleteJust chillin tonight cause I don't drink anyway. I volunteered to work tomorrow cause it's time and a half plus an extra vacation day so I wouldn't be able to go out regardless

ReplyDeleteNo one wants to talk with you once they hear you say your going to the bathroom. It is the best conversation ender
ReplyDeleteI am home tonight because I have had a cold for the last week and I need to get better because I am going out of town this weekend.
ReplyDeleteOff tomorrow, as my job's closed (EZPawn). Wish we were open tomorrow and that time and a half were offered, but the company is cheap as fuck.
ReplyDeleteI am working now too at 9am. Came back from dinner and a party I was going to got cancelled so I will be here tonight. Better than last year when I was home with the flu

It's a double-edged sword. I work for evil people that provide great benefits. That makes it hard to complain or leave.
ReplyDeleteI had a stroke a couple of years ago, and seeing him in those last years struggle to finish the countdown was rough. Thankfully mine was minor, but I had some speech difficulty myself for a bit. That's frustrating to struggle with, and I can imagine how he felt.

ReplyDeleteHope you doing better, don't wish that on anyone.
ReplyDeleteYeah, he was just always there. Not the same with Seacrest, cause it's Ryan Seacrest.
Sounds rough dude. Round here most start hiring after the holidays, hope you find something.
ReplyDeleteI work for an idiot school district, but have great benefits which are free and relatively good pay so it makes it very hard to leave.
ReplyDeleteAnyone watching Duke lay the smackdown on Texas A&M?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I'm good...it was as minor as a stroke could be and still be considered a stroke as opposed to a TIA. ReplyDeleteI want to see "Barbed Wire City." Heard that was really good
ReplyDeleteI downloaded Forever Hardcore but I haven't watched it yet, might have to give it a chance someday.
ReplyDeleteDo you happen to hate that as much as I do? It's like why does chasing my dream have to cost me my way of living.
ReplyDeleteI stumbled on it with YouTube
ReplyDeleteI'd have my wife call me, and say 'oh shit it's (job, lawyer, ect) I gotta go'. Usually works, except when it doesn't.
ReplyDeleteSo, any New Years Resolutions? Nothing for me, I already quit smoking six weeks ago, I think I'll just count that one.
ReplyDeleteMeh...I've been on the phone with someone and they actually WERE on the damn toilet. 'You fuckin' feeb, take it off speakerphone...I ain't trying to hear no "plop plop" every few minutes'.
ReplyDeleteMy old man told me he started smoking at 15, but they didn't do him in until he was 60. In a way I feel like he won.
ReplyDeleteMy parents are the reason I never started though. They were like the Cheech and Chong of cigarettes.
I love my job and coworkers and all of that. It's just that we never question my bosses because it would literally make your brain hurt.
ReplyDeleteI started weight lifting 5 years ago but I still haven't gotten rid of this gut. So that's going to be my resolution until I die.
ReplyDeleteI used to be about a pack a day, but cut it down to about two or three cigs a day recently. At one point, I HAD quit completely...quit cold turkey, and it lasted for about a year. Had my stroke, got fired while in the hospital, and started right back up.

ReplyDeleteHappy new years mofos. Just got off work and on my way to meet my gf amd some friends d's for a bar crawl. Everyone enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting sick of hearing about high jacking a show.
ReplyDeleteCome up with a better term.
You can say that again. I few years ago I kinda managed a guy doing the music thing. Helped him press some cd's and what not. It was right before the whole industry fell of a cliff. He got into vending machines and I hear he's doing pretty good.

ReplyDeleteOh, and salad's ace and all, but *don't* smother it in dressing. Actually, the secret is using vinegar instead (and add crushed black pepper). Vinegar is naturally fat free, tastes good (at least red wine vinegar), and adds 'pop' to your salad.
That's it. In my experiences that seems to be the case a lot of the time.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, follow the Abs Diet workout. It gives you a great outilne on what to eat and the training regimen is very effective.
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend has work in the morning and she is already knocked out, not sure what I'll do. No big deal really, new years eve is just another day to me, could care less if I party or whatnot
ReplyDeleteNot a healthy way to do it, though. Not just about weight loss. Just my two cents.
ReplyDeleteSounds easy in theory, but we shall see. I'm going to give this the good college try...again. Hopefully, I can sustain the progress this time.
ReplyDeleteI cant keep ice cream in my house. Its my one nemesis. Eat really healthy for the most part but ice cream is my weakspot. Seriously cant control myself around it
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, but related, at least 70% of my BoD time is spent in the bathroom, right now included
ReplyDeleteTo stop bullshitting in the gym and to take my workouts seriously
ReplyDeleteThe way to do it is to not try and go on a diet, that's not gonna work. You have to totally reinvent the way you eat. Count calories and do the math. And don't beat yourself up or quit because you eat something bad, it's fine to eat a little junk. While losing weight is of course the goal, try to make the main goal being healthy.
ReplyDeleteI've done music and sound mixing for 'adult entertainment' (not porn either), and had previously done music for freeware games, I have a friend who is an 'erotic hypnotist' and have done some projects for her, although now with torrents and other file sharing practices, the money dried up.
ReplyDeleteI keep hoping though that something changes and things go back to the way they were, but once that box opened, there's no stuffing the shit back in.
Probably a mixture.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to remain optimistic, but there is 10 years of history I'm fighting against. I think the biggest battle is that I actually like eating junk and don't enjoy eating healthy food.
ReplyDeleteFor me, the best way is to take out one or two bad things a month. For example, one month I said no more to soda. The next month, I said no more to going to fast food (except when it is necessary) and to make my meals. The next month I said that for dessert, I will chew gum instead of having cake or ice cream or whatever.
ReplyDeleteYou will...think positive and it will happen. Law of attraction.
ReplyDeleteDid you knock her out?
ReplyDeleteI don't ever see that genie going back in the bottle. The only way to make money would probably be through licensing to games, movies or tv, something like that.
ReplyDeleteEvery kid I bump into is a rapper nowadays. More rappers than fans so I'm wondering how they even marketing to.
I'm more of a tech guy so I thought of trying to do something with the internet. I'm a bedroom dj and I always wanted to have a show even if I'm paying to produce it.
I'm not going to put any kind of timetable on it this time. Going to take the advice and just trying to make changes as I go.
ReplyDeleteHe Big Showed KO punched her
ReplyDeleteI was going to play Madden actually, and I happened upon this thread and lost track of time.
ReplyDeleteThat's the way to do it. Just let it happen. You know, a watched pot never boils, and a watched boil never pops.
ReplyDeleteRF Video has another sale. Thinking about picking up a few more shoots. Anyone have some they would like to recommend?
ReplyDeletealso, if you have the chance, watch the Paul Roma shoot. It is wonderful
Are you ever going to post the review or what?
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm thinking lol.
ReplyDeleteYea. Hoops is awesome workout. The only advice I give people, get alot of patients who ask, is to use the harris benedict calculator/formula. Its pretty spot on
ReplyDeleteIs the Orndorff one....wonderful? Sorry couldn't resist.
ReplyDeletei am going to make it one of the choices for next week. It is short (under two hours) and I am flying to Florida on the 9th so I wont review something long
ReplyDeletethat works
ReplyDeleteI reviewed that one, actually
ReplyDeletehttp://www.rspwfaq.net/2013/10/rf-video-shoot-interview-with-paul.html
Good for you man. Losing a chunk of weight like that feels great. Quitting cigs feels good although I still have the occasional craving. Think that'll ever go away entirely?
ReplyDelete"..she is already knocked out, not sure what I'll do."
ReplyDeleteYou may want to consider editing this, you know? In case something happens to her.
They market to each other, really. Guy A does something, Guy B buys it, samples stuff on it and releases something which guy C buys...and guy A buys guy C's stuff and samples something off of that. It's like that famous picture of the fish eating each other.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to do what I did previously and try to make a new genre of music, and experimenting like hell, even if it initially sounds like shitfuck.
Oh nice! Did they do any Timelines from the 70's or early 80's?
ReplyDeleteWatching the Bryan Danielson shoot now. Its an hour and a half and from 2004. He looks like he is a teenager here.
ReplyDeleteI stayed home this year. Too cold to go to NYC with the ex and to be honest the cops are acting stupid and I got Chipotle so I'll watch documentaries until midnight.
ReplyDeleteLast one I saw was gene okerlund. He had diverse experiences since hes been in the biz forever. Kinda straightforward but still enjoyable
ReplyDeleteWell you have a knocked out girlfriend so there's something you could "do".
ReplyDeleteKeep living the dream. Hopefully, it will come together one day.
ReplyDeleteIt will. Whenever you have a craving, just remind yourself that you're saving a shit ton of money, and that you're not polluting your lungs with nasty shit that doesn't even make you feel good, the fact it smells like shit, ect.
ReplyDeleteI haven't quit entirely yet, but I'm just about there.
Superstar Graham did 77-78
ReplyDeleteZbyszko did 80
Muraco 83
Valentine 85
Steele 86
I am doing Honky's 1987 this week
There is also a rumor that Piper is doing the 1984 timeline
I wondered that myself, we may have our very own Benoit on the BOD.
ReplyDeleteI go vegan 6 months out of every year to keep my system clean. That works wonders.
ReplyDeleteI smoked for a while, quit in 2005 for good, and cant believe they are about $10 a pack up here in Mass. Now, I am absolutely disgusted by cigarette smoke.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta review the Roma shoot, bro. I want to check it out. Interested in what he says about his WWF run.
ReplyDeleteI want to get there eventually, but nowhere close to that now.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea the Chris Hero shoot totaled five hours. It is very interesting but it took me a while to get through the first half
ReplyDeleteMan those all look good especially the Superstar Graham and Valentine ones.
ReplyDeleteRoma is a legit, no bullshit guy. Some of it might read at bitterness but he admits he was happy with his career. He has some great stories too and a brand new rib involving shit that the Rockers pulled. I think everyone from that era has their own personal Rocker/Shit rib
ReplyDeleteIs it any good? I dunno I like Bryan but I would think a shoot of his would be so so and not as good as the Punk/Colt ones.
ReplyDeleteGood god man, thats long. Hope it was good at least
ReplyDeleteI broke it into phases to make things easier:
ReplyDeletePhase 1-Weeks 1-3: No fast food/junk food
Phase 2-Weeks 4-6: No artificial colors/sweeteners (no white sugar or flour)
Phase 3-Weeks 7-9: No red meat
phase 4-Weeks 10-12: No dairy
Phase 5-Weeks 13-16: Daniel's fast: Vegan diet-only organic vegetables and natural fruit juices/water.
I liked the Valentine shoot. He was the man in 1985 too.
ReplyDeleteVery. Lots of insight into how developmental is run and how the performance center operates.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds doable.....until week 7. Me and red meat are too close to each other to part ways. That's going to take some doing. I will go on record and admit that you are a better man than I am.
ReplyDeleteI am now watching shoot interviews. Its fucking freezing here in Mass too
ReplyDeleteHow exactly does getting a tryout work? Do you have to have prior experience?
ReplyDeleteIn a way, it already has.
ReplyDeleteThis first week kicks my ass because I'm the guy that goes to Subway after a workout. Getting all the junk food out of the house wasn't easy this time around.
ReplyDeletePerformance Review
ReplyDeleteI admit it...during my mark days I was a fan of Roma. He was one of the few jobbers who go offense in, and I was always pulling for him to pull off the upset. Same with Jim Powers.
ReplyDeleteThey have trout camps that are broken into two groups from what I believe, those who have experience and the one who have never wrestled at all. You can contact them I believe for the begineers class and see if they will call you back for a tryout ( I think)
ReplyDeleteNothing beats that. Back when I managing, I did a lot on the creative side too, kind of a learn as I go type thing and it made me alive inside. I was working full-time also but it didn't feel draining at all, just the opposite.
ReplyDeleteRoma was a pretty good worker too. Maybe his height held him back but I think starting off his career as a WWF TV jobber typecasted him into that role
ReplyDeleteCan't up vote enough
ReplyDeleteI still have some cookies in the kitchen. I'm debating whether to finish them off or chuck em out. It's the only junk I got left in the house.
ReplyDeleteThis would all be easier if I had a personal chef.
28 degrees here in Cleveland
ReplyDeleteI loved the Punk/Joe shoot and the Punk shoot from like 2005 I think.
ReplyDeleteHell, why not.
ReplyDeleteI pulled the trigger and bought a used Nintendo Wii off Amazon. Comes with the console, controller, nunchuck, A/V cords, sensor, stand. Total was $67 and I used a gift card to buy it. Any games you guys recommend to get to start off?
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better, right on. Music's the most addictive drug there is. I enjoy going to unsigned artist sites and listening to random tracks. Hell, I find better music doing that than ANYTHING on what passes for radio these days. I make it a point to listen to something by someone I've never heard each week or so.
ReplyDeleteThose are good too. I like the Punk/Joe one better I think. Funny stories in that one
ReplyDeleteI just give them to my sister's kids or let my ex spend the night so she can smoke weed and run through my cabinets.
ReplyDeleteAs it is, she's finished the box of Cheese-Its that I was hiding.
I'd love to see a post-Mania crowd properly rebel. Like, not just cheering for Bryan/Fandango/whomever, but actively rejecting stuff like that 15-minute Orton/Sheamus trainwreck.
ReplyDeleteIf every HHH/Orton/Big Show/Cena etc segment on the post-Mania Raw was met with an audible "Same old shit!", that would have far more impact than people getting behind Bryan/Punk/Ziggler/Wyatts etc.
HHH gets beat up a lot here and most of it deservingly so; however, I'm going to spend a post putting the guy over.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that he actually acknowledges the fans exist. I just watched a video of him answering fans questions about the performance center. He didn't say anything out of character but it's better than the f--- you Vince would give. Hey, it's something.
I'm watching this Kruella performance on 19 Action News and the snow is coming down too. Yuck.
ReplyDeleteFucker was athletic as hell, too.
ReplyDeleteNow that we are having this conversation, it's made me realize how much I miss doing something, anything creatively. I'm not the CEO type so I don't want to be in charge of anything, but I'd love to help someone out again.
ReplyDeleteAs much as HHH loves to put himself over, I prefer him over Vince.
ReplyDeleteDrew Carey's down there too I think. I'm watching NHL Network currently.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the Cornette WWF 1997 Timeline?
ReplyDeleteThat's a good decision.
ReplyDeleteOverall, I'm with you. I just think it's cool that HHH does address the fans every now and again.
ReplyDeleteAn Asian would require a black man to do math now wouldn't he
ReplyDeleteConsidering his hatred of the internet, yeah it is cool of him.
ReplyDeleteReviewed that one, too
ReplyDeletehttp://www.rspwfaq.net/2013/08/kayfabe-commentaries-timeline-series.html
His story about his Alex Wright match in WCW was a fucking riot
ReplyDeleteWhat was the Cliffs Notes version of what he said?
ReplyDeleteHe got fucked over and told he was going to lose at the last second, because they were going with younger talent and he was considered older. So, he basically decided he didnt give a fuck if he lost his job or not and decided to go out there and show what he could do. He joked, when he dropped an elbow from the top, that he could have eaten a sandwich before he landed.
ReplyDeleteit was really young into his career. He comes across as a great guy though and smiles the entire time but there isnt much at all so far. He did talk a bit about being in developmental when they used Memphis as a territory
ReplyDeleteDon't want you to give it all away but was Orndorff sent out there to make him do business?
ReplyDeleteGot the Roma-Alex Wright match going now. Was he legit 18 years old? I wouldn't have put him over either
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to do the same thing too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, according to Wikipedia, he was born in 1975.
ReplyDeleteHHH gets shit on a bit too much around here, has he deserved it at times, sure but I don't think he should be as vilified. Also, I think if he took over creative 100% with no on air role to protect, I think the WWE would have better shows. I can see him booking a solid promotion with a southern style edge.
ReplyDeleteAnd really, putting himself over isn't a new thing in wrestling, either.
ReplyDeleteYeah, snow came out of nowhere.
ReplyDeleteWatching this now too. LOL at the crowd cheering Roma for mocking Wright
ReplyDeleteZelda: Twilight Princess was fun, as was Super Mario World, the Wii Sports game has some fun stuff on it.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds pretty cool. I grew up in the hip-hop era but my mom listened to blues, motown, and that old gospel. Like Mahalia Jackson old gospel. So a lot of that rubbed off on me.
ReplyDeleteIronically, he was younger are at about the same ago as they people they DID end up pushing with Hogan on top.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of video games, I'm really enjoying Lego Marvel, lots of characters and fun gameplay.
ReplyDeleteCan't tell if Heenan is shooting or just doing his job.
ReplyDeleteNot that I recall
ReplyDeleteSince I wasn't here earlier, I'll say it now, thanks for putting this up Bayless.
ReplyDeleteAlex Wright was standing on the ring apron. He attempted to sunset flip back in over Roma. He jumped and Roma just punched him in the gut. legit lol
ReplyDeleteNot that I am an expert or anything, but if anyone has some questions about shoot interviews, I would be glad to answer them. I have a lot of them in my possession if that helps
ReplyDeleteCan I find them on YouTube?
ReplyDeleteNo problem at all.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah. My dad was older (he was 46 when I was born), and I grew up listening to BB King, John Lee Hooker, ect. He also had a diverse music taste as well, so I think that's where I got it from.
ReplyDeleteTrue story...I mainly listened to 60s & 70s rock as a teenager.
Yeah, it's fucking cold here too. 59 degrees. So so cold
ReplyDeleteRick Martel's RF Video shoot is on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteFor a while, there was a Youube account that would post the shoots under funny names, like Bad News Brown was titled "Andre's Toilet" but the user's accounts kept getting shutdown
Yeah dude...this thread is pretty ace.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you watching?
ReplyDeleteKinda reminds me of my mom. She was the musically inclined one. She sung in the choir at church and had some kind of Diana Ross and the Supremes knock off group. She kind of scared me when she went through a rap phase in her 50's
ReplyDeleteWasn't this the PPV where Heenan was drunk off his ass?
ReplyDeleteGay porn of course. Duh!
ReplyDeleteI can't tell. I think it was the later ppv's where he was incoherent
ReplyDeleteThis match is the tits. Seriously, Roma should have wrestled like this is whole career. Great heelwork
ReplyDeleteAlex Wright vs Paul Roma Superbrawl 95
ReplyDeleteWatching this match you'd think Roma was the biggest face in wrestling. In 10 minutes he completely won over the crowd. Great work even if it got him fired.
ReplyDeleteAnyone watching the Times Square show? If so, did Miley Cyrus ruin it?
ReplyDeleteI went with Super Mario Galaxy and The Last Story as the first two games I ordered.
ReplyDeleteMy wife's the same way as me...hell, that was part of how we connected. We listen to the same stuff (which is, everything except Tejano music and modern country) I started writing music around the time I met her, and now she's my main collaborator.
ReplyDeleteMy mom supposedly also had diverse music tastes as well, but I didn't know her well at all (didn't see her after the divorce when I was six for 17 years, until I finally found her a week before she died).
I think I'm over my writer's block...right after the ball drops I'm gonna do some recording.
Going to do a little "Shoot Interview Shuffle"
ReplyDeleteFrom Sabu's YouShoot:
After several questions asking if he has ever fucked Tammy Sytch, Sabu said he never did but told a story about how Tammy offered to show him her tits for 50 pills and he agreed, but only gave her 35.
Has anyone seen Johnny Gargano vs Matt Cross from PWO Wreslelusion 3? If not I recommend it, it is my favorite wrestling match.
ReplyDelete18 degrees here in New York.
ReplyDeleteThat is fucking awesome. I'm gonna have to steal 'Andre's Toilet' for a song title now.
ReplyDeleteMy wife is the same way. She can just pick up instruments and start playing them. I hate that cause I can't do it.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to find me a creative outlet also. Appreciate the talk, I think this is what I needed.
Gargano should be in the WWE by 2015.
ReplyDeleteI'm almost certain he was indeed drunk. Haven't seen the PPV in years, but IIRC Schiavone was getting legit irritated with him, especially with him wanting to see the replay for the ending of this very Wright v Roma match, knowing full well that the ending was a bit of a screw job.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit...Roma screwed Roma.
He was already on WWE programming 3 times.
ReplyDeleteDo it.
ReplyDeleteunder contract then
ReplyDeleteI'd be fine with some NwO soda slinging.
ReplyDelete50/35 pills just to see her tits? What kind of pills were they? I'm guessing they had to cost a decent amount. And all Sabu got was to see her tits. I mean, back in the day she had a smoking body but how much is it really worth it just to see the tatas.
ReplyDelete'Shit ribs' sounds like something from a really terrible Carribbean restaurant'/
ReplyDeletehahahahahaahahahaha. Yeah, Tony sounded legit pissed at that. He kept calling Romo "Romeo" also. Good stuff
ReplyDeleteSo I'm waiting for the ball to drop, and have it on NatGeo for this 80s history marathon, and I see this commercial for something called 'Cat's Meow'.
ReplyDelete
