QOTD

I wasn't going to post one but had one pop up while at lunch today...

Is there an odd food combination that you enjoy (ketchup on spaghetti, cheeze wiz sandwiches, something fucking strange on pizza, etc.?)  What unpopular foods do you enjoy?  What popular food do you dislike?

  1. I dated this chick who was a fitness nut, she ate really healthy sell the time except she'd dip potato chips and cheesy poofs into sour cream .

  2. Hot n Spicy Cheeze-its and peanut butter - I had it the second time I ever got high and it's been a favorite since, in part for the memories, in part for the delicious combination of creamy and spicy and tangy.

Also I think Spaghetti and Honey Mustard is pretty great.

During my darkest days of terrible eating I used to do Doritos and little slices of pepper jack cheese. It was not a proud moment.

BBQ sauce and Mashed Potatoes is good too.
Also Arizona Iced Green Tea and Gin ain't so bad.

  3. I hate string cheese with a passion.

  4. Anything that involves putting fruit on meat I abhor. Ham & pinapple pizza, for instance. Or the salad Wendy's used to make with chicken and mangerine oranges.

  5. Couldn't agree more. I don't think I've ever eaten fruit in the same meal as meat. Meat, carbs, vegetable. No room for fruit

  6. Everything about it I hate.

  7. I DESPISE candy corn and most anything involving marshmallows

  8. I typically eat plain. Nothing too wild.
When I worked out a lot, breakfast was a smoothie, lunch was usually baked chicken with asparagus and brown rice, and Dinner was either baked chicken or salmon. Snacks were usually peanut butter, fruit, and yogurt.

  9. I hate tuna fish. I like tuna steak but the stuff in the can mixed with mayo is what I loathe.

  10. Also, I like crabs but they take so much fucking effort to eat, I despise the whole process of it. I avoid them unless I'm at like a seafood buffet and feel I need to get my money's worth

Cholesterol? Don't think so, I avoid processed crap and rarely eat red meat, I mostly stick with fish and chicken. I've been on Warfarin since early May, and the first week or so after I got out of the hospital I had to give myself injections of some other blood thinner (lovenex or something?), which sucked pretty bad.

  12. Yeah, I likeAlaskan King Crab but ordering it at a restaurant takes so much effort to eat that it isnt even worth it.

  13. Hate it also, the smell is even nauseating sometimes

  14. Well, I just ordered and sausage, steak and cheese sub for lunch. I have an awesome place near my work that specializes in steak subs. So fucking good. I guess that can be a strange combo for some

I like Tartar sauce on French Fries.

This one is funny: I hate most fruit (which is funny because I go vegan 6 months out of every year.) I mean I can drink juice but I can't eat whole fruit unless it's ice cold.

Side note: I was at a company picnic and was offered watermelon. I declined and everyone looked at me funny because all black people are supposed to have a fondness for watermelon that is written into our genetic code. (Maybe it's because I'm part indian, I dunno)

  16. I could write a book about Indian food. One time I tried to order some, didn't get Naan, and they called me and threatened me into ordering it.

"I was at a company picnic and was offered watermelon. I declined and everyone looked at me funny because all black people are supposed to have a fondness for watermelon that is written into our genetic code."

This reminds me of the Chappelle's show skit where black people get reparations and they're doing a CNBC-type thing ("Cadillac has sold 3 million Escalades this morning, and chicken is up to $600 a bucket...") and the guy says "however, watermelon has remained flat, defying many analysts".

  18. Old love of mine:

Chicken Noodle Soup and Popcorn, treat the broth like a dipping sauce.

  19. I wouldn´t call it second rate since I adore the tight, rowdy feel of that place. But I totally agree: either have it at WrestleMania or at the Rumble. Not sure what match it would have replaced there, since each match there had its purpose, but still.

  20. Could have been age. Our that's just what do heels did. They had a program or two on top, then got bumped down. Look at DiBiasie orv Earthquake.

  21. If flair stayed and jobbed through wm than we would have been deprived of the awesome "a flair for the gold" segments. "Fifi walk that aisle."

  22. Is there a more confusing time in wrestling history than 93-94 WWF? I understood the need for a "New Generation" and all things told they did well for themselves even if business was down...way down.

But the way the new crop was elevated with minimal involvement of all that great still capable older talent still has me scratching my head 2 decades later.

Sure Rowdy Roddy Piper and Ric Flair put over Bret Hart and Mr.Perfect put over Shawn Michaels but there's so many wasted dream matches from that era that it boggles the mind.

  23. The entire roster, save for a few guys, changed between wrestlemania 8 and wrestlemania 9.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Was this WWE doing a TNA and cutting costs wherever possible or did wrestlers really want to go to WCW so bad that they were willing to skip out on a big payday?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Watching that era right now, and Flair for the Gold is some of the absolute worst shit ever. Awful production, none of the segments build to anything, and Flair comes across as the most spineless wimp in the world.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Am I the only one who would like to see an annual Manhattan Center Raw nowadays?

    ReplyDelete
  27. More a steroid purge than anything else. The Warriors, Bulldogs and Warlords of the roster had to go.

  28. This times ten.

  29. Is there a televised match where Razor beats Flair? Odd that he mentions Razor as the example in the book of putting over the youth because they were both heels right up until Flair's departure, and we know a heel-heel or face-face match is a once every 2 year type thing with Vince.

  30. Couple decent ones, the Hollywood blondes were great heeling it up on one ep.

  31. On the contrary they could have squeezed a face run out of him, maybe even a cool program with michaels.
