This is pretty cool, although no Paypal = NO BUYS from me. Which is odd because I can use it to buy the PPVs online. But yeah, this is basically what everyone is wanting out of the WWE Network -- all the matches you want streaming 24/7.
Totally buying the PPV tonight, by the way. They earned my $60 after the first fight.
If this has the original tournament-format UFC cards, I'm keeping it past the trial.
ReplyDeleteHelwani says that it has the footage from the UFC "dark ages" and Pride + Affliction + WEC. Basically their entire tape library. This is a great buy.
ReplyDeleteAlso reposting it in this thread. Fedor is spotted at the Vegas airport and Brock is confirmed in the building. And the UFC has one more announcement left scheduled for during the prelims. I can't believe this because I've been burned too many times before but...oh lordy.
IT DOES!
ReplyDeleteThey'll be getting my $9.99 for a few months, at least.
I do love the early UFC's "stumbles":
ReplyDelete"No Rules" = No biting, eye gouging, or groin shots. I prefer those rules, just don't come out saying "NO RULES!".
Also: Fat Guy = TARGET!
ReplyDeleteDon't think I'm buying the fights. Might go to a friends. After I bought their first "fight" where Silva danced around like an idiot and got knocked out, I'm not getting burned again. Plus, I really haven't been intrigued by the Ronda/Tate drama either because Tate shouldn't be in the fight.
ReplyDeleteI signed up. It's completely FREE for the next two months... just remember to cancel before March 1 if you don't want to get charged.
ReplyDeleteThat Anderson Silva leg break was some freaky shit.
ReplyDeleteRowsey is a much better fighter than Tate, but for Tate did a heck of a job hanging on for more than two rounds. The throws, flips, and escapes in that fight were a great contrast to the men's matches where that kind of agility and flexibility just doesn't exist. WWE should pay attention and realize what they could do in terms of wrestling with women who aren't barely trained models.
Rowsey's use of "Bad Reputation" may also be the most perfect use of intro music for a fighter or wrestler ever.
I'm considering signing up for the trial. I haven't watched ufc in five or six years, but I love the early events and wouldn't mind streaming some of those for free over the next two months. Definitely not something I'd pay for, though.
