Fans Chant for CM Punk at Last Night's NXT Taping

At last night's tapings, there were loud chants for Punk and all signs about him were being confiscated. At one point, the producers of the show tried to lead the crowd into an "NXT" chant and instead they chanted for Punk.

  1. I was kind of hoping he could end up being another authority figure as there has been a severe lack of them over the last year.

    ReplyDelete
  2. The stock thing is weird, as many analysts (notably CNBC) have been hammering it as overpriced but it keeps going up.

    ReplyDelete
  3. It's too bad Raw is in Omaha this week. Don't know if they'll bring enough snark to chant "We Want Punk" for 3 hours.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I bet Jordan Belfort has something to do with it...

    ReplyDelete
  5. But maybe some people actually are casual fans that enjoy the product though. Keep in mind the casuals are their main target audience.

    ReplyDelete
  6. It's a fresh idea.

Instead of GM, maybe they could like make him head of a "Union". It might be a neat way to battle the Authority.

    ReplyDelete
  7. It's the Union of People You Oughta Respect, Stephanie

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yeah, keep that in mind, Big Nasty.

    ReplyDelete
  9. That is because CNBC's parent company is negotiating with WWE for the tv rights.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Ugh to the idea of Sting as an authority figure.

    ReplyDelete
  11. What are the odds that they attempt to make a lame joke about Peyton Manning shouting 'Omaha' during games? But then they'd have to acknowledge they're in Omaha, which they probably won't do.

I'm expecting a "Did you Know: WWE Raw last week drew higher ratings than every sport show on NBC, CBS, ABC, and ESPN?" (while for some odd reason leaving out Fox's sports programming for the week)...

    ReplyDelete
  12. I think Sting's chances of being relevant with WWE have come and gone.

    ReplyDelete
  13. CM Punk quits and stocks rise?

Quick! Get all main eventers to quit! If Cena quits, stocks will double!

    #TotalLogic

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah, there's a reason why he was at his most over when he didn't say a word and was not seen multiple times per show.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Here's how you use Sting:

As John Cena feuds with the Wyatts and gets his ass kicked, Ric Flair makes an intervention telling John that he's always seen a bit of himself in Cena (which is more valid than you think: before John "sold out," Jim Cornette called him the "next Ric Flair.") Naitch pleads with John that in order to beat the Wyatts, he needs to sink down to their level. John gives his usual spiel about Hustle, Loyalty, Bullshit and keeps getting his ass handed to him. Flair keeps pressuring and pressuring, and just when it seems that John is going to fall to the dark side... Sting shows up. Flair freaks out.

Sting gives a speech near-identical to Flair's first one, saying that he's always seen a bit of himself in Cena. He tells John to never give up or to compromise his values. Flair does not take this well, and the rest of the angle plays out as the two working as John's conscience. Sting is the angel on his shoulder, Flair is the devil on the other.

Then what would make it REALLY great is if John and Flair turned on Sting, but I don't see things playing out that way.

    ReplyDelete
  16. A) again, it's a pretty reasonable assumption knowing he was contracted through july
    B) Punks track record as being temperamental
    C) don't you think if he gave formal warning that we would have heard about it, seriously.
    D) knowing punk and vince, do we really believe this split is amicable?
    E) once again, Punks track record

None of these are a stretch. Reasonable assumptions based on what we know about Punk and Vince.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Actually, they COULD do that. Book Cena, Flair and Sting against the Wyatts at Mania, Flair low blows Sting for old times sake, but he and John win anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I know a ton of people don't have a clue who he is anymore, but I would love to see someone in the ring, Undertaker for example, the arena goes dark and you can see him either on the ramp or somewhere else with his trench coat and bat pointing towards the ring.
I don't know if this works for the crowd who doesn't remember 1998, but I think it would be cool.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Investors are happy that they are getting rid of their petulant children

    ReplyDelete
  20. Creeping into xpac heat territory with this one.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Sting: NOT A HEEL GM. That's all I ask.
NXT: Poor kids. Not their fault management is... mentally questionable? Yeah, I'll go with that for now.
WWE Stock: Damn, I wouldn't have thought it near $20. At least they can do SOMETHING right...
KENTA: How long before he's the next Kung Fu Naki?

    ReplyDelete
  22. A) You don't know if he had required dates remaining on his deal. And dude, his contract is up in July is not an answer to that, it just isn't. That's not how the contracts work.
    B) You weren't in the room. Your statement here is just you tossing out insults. His "track record of being tempermental"? OK, what's his track record of breaching his contract? It's like you're using the pipe bomb speech as evidence that he breached his contract.
    C) You have no idea whether he's been voicing his grievances to management previously.
    D) Again, you weren't in the room. And in fact the reports so far are in fact that it was cordial and that Vince is completely open to working with him again.
    E) And again, you're basing this on nothing. You weren't in the room. You are making shit up and tossing insults to fit your narrative.

Meltzer/Keller/Powell all have yet to mention breach of contract, or that he acted in a way that was even disrespectful to Vince. You're completely creating this narratives based on assumptions that you want to be true.

    ReplyDelete
  23. He needs to be in a backstage segment with R- Truth first.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Also, NBC is generally trash.

Okay, maybe just the cable "news" versions.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Not to feed the argument, but walking out on your employer with what appears to be incredibly short notice is a tad disrespectful... but other than that, I'm all for someone standing up for their rights and walking out if they feel like it. Doesn't make them a hero, but goes to show people still have a mind of their own and are willing to walk away than put up with bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think Sting would get really annoying really fast as a GM.

But I don't want to see the Sting we saw in TNA wrestling in WWE. Receding hairline, wrestling in a t-shirt, wearing those weird tights and that look like old guy slacks...he needs to get in shape and have WWE use their production tricks to make him look threatening. Surely they'd spring for some new hair at least.

    ReplyDelete
  27. ::Truth looks awkwardly at someone walking into the frame ::

    Sting: "What's up?"

    ReplyDelete
  28. Full Sail students get great experience sweetening crowd reactions during their schooling.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Funny, but I was referring to KENTA.

    ReplyDelete
  30. People keep bringing it up...

    ReplyDelete
  31. So, they get to clean up the tapes as part of their studies?

    ReplyDelete
  32. ... You're making it sound like Kung Fu Naki was NOT awesome.

Heck, he once defeated the new co-TNA owner.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfZwGMgvzIo

    ReplyDelete
  33. The short notice thing is different in something like pro wrestling than it is for say an office job.

Office job, I quit my job and stay on for two weeks to finish regular work.

If Punk went in there on Monday and said this isn't working for me and I want off the road and I'm not working Mania, then for all we know Vince would have rather just ended his TV appearances there.

Punk worked the Rumble. He took a big table spot after the elimination. He hadn't started a new storyline. Basically, his writing out was done at that point.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't want any of this to be true. I'm a fan of Punk to be clear. All these are just "well we don't know so let's blindly five phil Brooks the benefit of the doubt on this."

So you don't think he has a history of being temperamental? But ching about the Rock coming back, then slurping the opportunity to work a money feud with him? Freakin out bc someone called him "fuckface" (I know it was more AJ but Punk was pissed by all accounts). Shouting home at fans? These aernt signs of an adult who makes long term, we'll thought out mature decisions.

    ReplyDelete
  35. And what sort of evidence will constitute you being "proven right"?

    ReplyDelete
  36. STOP WITH THE DOUCHEYNESS ALL OF YOU. My god, my eyes are bleeding from all of the anal vomiting going on.

    ReplyDelete
  37. He's gotta be ready.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Or for all we know vince asked him to stay amd punk made it know he was gonna be miserable to be around. Again, speculating on the opposite end of the spectrum.

    ReplyDelete
  39. No one would ever buy someone turning on Sting! Crazy talk!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I was one of the 212 people who bought X-Factor shirts!!!!

You're forever over with me, brother.
You could bang my daughter, your best buddy could bang my daughter, you could turn my company to shit and still be my number one pick!

    ReplyDelete
  41. They had a "Union" faction in WWE before

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm not "blindly following Phil", I'm just not blindly ranting about how he's a petulant child and undeniably wrong in this situation, a situation in which this is what we know: He's unhappy with his job/pay/health. He had a meeting Monday with Vince. He's not working for WWE right now.

You're the one ranting against him based on that. It's not like I'm in opposition with "Vince is a petulant child! He wronged Punk! Fuck Vince for what he just did!" Nobody is, other than the usual "WWE's management skills and booking are the shits."

I'm just not bent out of shape because a man quit his job.

As for the other stuff? Being tempermental is not evidence that a man breached his contract. It's not. IT IS NOT.

I'm a super nice guy, pretty even keeled about things in day to day life. Let's assume you are too. Both of us probably more so than Punk is. Good for us!

Still isn't proof that Punk breached his contract, or acted towards Vince in the manner that you're constantly saying he did.

Again, you're creating a narrative with your facts mainly being things that happened in a room that you WERE NOT IN. And none of these "facts" (breach of contract, Punk being a total asshole towards Vince) have been brought up by any of the credible wrestling reporters.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Either gonna be Bryan/Levesque or Bryan/Orton/Batista. Bryan will close
out Mania as champ, having his hand shook by his real life best friend,
John Cena. Then they'll go home and pound their twin girlfriends while
Punk sits at home drinking a Pepsi and getting owned on Twitter by
    Ryback.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Right, but you're speculating. For a guy who's position is SO vehement and so anti- this person, you should be basing it on something other than "speculating on the opposite end of the spectrum."

My whole point on this with you is basically just... a man quit his job, or is taking a leave of absence. We have zero idea what was said in that room Monday. So chill out.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Fantasy bookings 9 out of ten times make me want the person dead. Yours I would watch and enjoy. And it involves John Cena. Well done.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Im not trying to create any narrative. This started by me expressing an opinion, formualed on what I know about punk, of him having a track record of being temperamental and childish in paat situations.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Good grief man, enough with the essays.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Listen the main thing in all this is we're getting Cena/Taker at Mania this year! Right? RIGHT?

    Oh fuck.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Honestly, what's your deal with replying to someone just for the sake of being insulting? Honestly go fuck yourself dude.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I counter with me being right about the bryan/Wyatt angle. Right? Right?...Right

    ReplyDelete
  51. WWE generated positive buzz with the network, plus the tv deal will drive up prices. people want in before that happens. Stock will probably normalize after all that.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Cena/Bray and Taker/Lesnar all starting up from nothing, when Taker/Cena was just RIGHT THERE.

Ugh. And you still wanna take Vince's side on something? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Whoa, what an edgy post!

    ReplyDelete
  54. But we had a contract!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. WWE Shop sent me an email about a clearance sale and most CM Punk shirts can be had for $12.49 each.

    ReplyDelete
  56. And that clue is... the Daily Double!
This use of Sting would have him regularly participate in wrestling matches.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Ummm...
-contract details emerging that he had dates left
-details of the meeting between him and Vince
-reports of him possibly boxing Vince into a corner
-confirmation of him not giving any formal warning of him potentially leaving

    ReplyDelete
  58. That's nothing out of the ordinary tho

    ReplyDelete
  59. Not trying to be edgy but you seem to be trying to be douchey. Congrats

    ReplyDelete
  60. He said Levesque. IT'S A SHOOT, BRUTHA!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. He should be grateful at this point that anyone's paying him 'wrestle.'

    ReplyDelete
  62. You and Farva have stated and restated your points over and over again. Neither of you is convincing the other. The difference is:

Farva states his opinion in only five lines
You write essays each response broken up every so often with all caps

Farva's got a bug up his butt about the integrity of the situation, so I can at least understand his reaction...and you? You...you love CM Punk? Are you hoping he reads this thread, says "these essays defending me are fantastic", dumps AJ and tries to see if you can be his latest diva conquest? Because otherwise I have *zero* idea what your motivation to argue with Farva *all day*, *every day* is. Whether you are right or wrong here it's completely immaterial. That's all.

What do you do for a living again?

    ReplyDelete
  63. So what exactly were you going for then?

    ReplyDelete
  64. What was his role in TNA?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Do you read these things after you type them?

    ReplyDelete
  66. I was going for "typing whatever I want" because the image of that was humorous in my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  67. "WELCOME TO MONDAY NIGHT RAW {CUPS HANDS} WAAAAOOOOOOOOO"

    ReplyDelete
  68. Oh, well in that case. ::down votes::

    ReplyDelete
  69. YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO BE MAH FRIEND

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yup, you got me: I'm an unemployed fatso who's writing on the board in the hopes that I'll have sex with CM Punk. Very perceptive this one.

Me and you have pretty much the same number of posts on this board. What do you do for a living?

And to answer your question, I have a regular fulltime salaried job and career blah blah.

The facts are that whatever me and Farva debate about, we're debating. You've replied to me several times with no motive other than to hurl insults and critique what, the existence of my posts? You're acting like an asshole. Fuck off.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I looked at that... seems like it mostly the older ones.

    ReplyDelete
  72. This GM business should've died after Bischoff left

    ReplyDelete
  73. Yep. Most of his shirts are still $25. Who decided $25 is a proper amount of money to pay for a t-shirt? Crazy talk in my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Yeah its insane... seems to be standard retail price these days though.

    ReplyDelete
  75. 100% agreed. Ever since Vince/Austin lit the WWF on fire, we've had different variations of bad guy boss/GM/CEO/Whatever for 15 years. It's just boring at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Yeah, it's stupid. Although you can go to Hot Topic and get most WWE shirts for $20. They ran a buy one get one half off sale a while ago and I got the Daniel Bryan and purple Macho shirt for $30, which is a reasonable price in my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  77. THIS IS HOW YOU TURN HEEL

    ReplyDelete
  78. That Macho Man one is awesome. I love it because even people who don't understand where it's from give me a "who does this guy think he is" look when I wear it.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Really? Any time I go into Hot topic I A) Feel old and B) See t-shirts at the $24.99 price point... and I think $20 is the upper limit for a t-shirt

    ReplyDelete
  80. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/948x479q50/607/5hrc.jpg

    ReplyDelete
  81. Part of the reason I think that it's highly possible the Punk thing is a work. They trust/approve of Punk more as the top guy than Bryan. This is a golden way to get his heat back as he has kind of fallen to the side since Bryan's overness blew up over the summer

    ReplyDelete
  82. I might have posted this elsewhere but I meant to post it here.
    https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/948x479q50/607/5hrc.jpg

    ReplyDelete
  83. I definitely felt old and out of place in there, but I heard they had wrestling shirts and when I saw the sign for the sale, I went to inspect. From what I remember, they were all $20, but I might be wrong. They even had a Big Boss Man shirt that was pretty sweet. I would've bought it but it said, "Like A Boss" on it and I would've felt like an idiot wearing something with that phrase on it.

    ReplyDelete
  84. They should turn that into a running gag for his character - people just taking advantage of him every week.

    ReplyDelete
  85. ENOUGH WITH THE AUTHORITY FIGURES! God damn, someone please fucking come up with a new concept than "GM" or "Vice President" or "Director of Operations" or "pointless title to show someone is in charge, but really isn.t"

    ReplyDelete
  86. Wait a minute - how the hell did you get my mom's phone number?

    ReplyDelete
  87. GM would be the absolute worst role Sting could take. Aside from being absolutely useless (with the brand extension finished, why do we have ANY GMs? Especially since they each seem to make rulings on the other's show?) Along with that, people don't want to see the Sting in a suit without facepaint wearing glasses. They either want to see Crow Sting or Classic Sting. While his mic skills are passable, it's not as if that's the part of his presence everybody loved.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I wish theyd bring back the Jack Tunney type authority figure. Babyface that calls it down the middle, stays behind the scenes, makes major announcements, and enforces the rules.

    ReplyDelete
  89. ... Haven't you just described his entire 25 year career?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Those 2 things are unrelated...WWE's stock price has no impact on what their TV rights are going to be.

The gist of what CNBC was saying, when it was $19, is that it will eventually come back down to Earth. Once a stock gets hot, casual investors jump on board...and the new Network is helping that.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Thank you for that. Now there's coffee all over my desk.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Thet could do their epic video packages and portray Sting as WCWs icon (wouldn't be that far off.) Do a 1 match face of the wwe match, Cena, vs Sting and I think it'd sell. Have Cena beat him, then just use in a non wrestling role.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Interesting theory although I see Daniel Bryan as more of a company man than CM Punk.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Delightful and disturbing. Excellent.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Brilliant retort.

UPDATE: BoDers everywhere turn on each other and eat the intestines of the weak among them.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Yea his head does seem to be on straighter. Plus he's always seemed to be humble, everyone seems to like him on a personal sense, doesnt complain, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Jake Roberts update: Has twenty one shirts but twenty-two hangers.

    ReplyDelete
  99. It's a legitimate question, it certainly doesn't seem like it.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I feel old going in their because I remember the days when that store was nothing but blarring Goth or death metal music. Now you go in its Nicki Minaj or some other pop bullshit. It's insane

    ReplyDelete
  101. Or people just have the ability to chant for more than one person...who knows?!

    ReplyDelete
  102. ^^ THIS! Dude I saw the sweetest looking Rick Rude shirt, turned it over and that back said "Swagged Out". Heart ripped from my body

    ReplyDelete
  103. I got that look back in '98 while wearing my Austin 3:16 shirt in the Deep South.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Thanks buckdiddy. I don't see what confuses you in the previous comments. You can keep trying to be vague and contrarian but you haven't stated anything specific about what you disagree with.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Only time Stings been good on the mic at all was when he was doing to heath Ledger inspired Joker Sting character in TNA a couple years ago, but then again I guess he might be more entertaining than Maddox atm?

The CM Punk chants at NXT got old really fast, luckily their was quite a bit of good wrestling, a couple debuts, Adam Rose's debut was tremendous, and lots of hype for "NXT Arrival" which is the name to the live special (that they kept calling Pay Per View) on Thursday night the week the WWE Network starts. Already have my tickets for that and the tv tapings the following night, as well as a NXT house show in 2 weeks. There's a WWE house show here as well tomorrow, but it'll cost me as much as those 3 shows cost and Bryan's not on it so thinking about skipping it.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Yeah but the GM idea is so overdone, Brad is fine because he doesn't do much, if Sting was GM they'd make sure he shows up all the time and the GM position would be far more exposed and prevalent, it would get real real old.

    ReplyDelete
  107. They should also bring back Lex Luger just to turn on him one more time.

    ReplyDelete
  108. It doesn't matter who is in the main event at Wrestlemania 30. It can be Daniel Bryan and Daniel Bryan vs. Daniel Bryan and Daniel Bryan. The crowd is going to chant CM PUNK the entire time.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Sting as GM?! Are they even trying anymore....

...Id rather just have Maddox come out wearing the Sting makeup each week, hell, he can go back and forth on early Sting and Crow Sting...

    ReplyDelete
  110. If that is the case, Punk will have to live with knowing he took away Bryan's moment...

...while it's cool that fans chant for who they want, Im sure people like Punk and Bryan dont want to overshadow the work of people they call friends...

    ReplyDelete
  111. Totally agreed. I wear mine to the gym*. It is fantastic!!!

*("to the gym" also means "anywhere I go", "all the time", "in the shower", etc. etc.)

    ReplyDelete
  112. CO Jones == Ryback posts to this blog!!

    Calling it now

    ReplyDelete
  113. I gave you the upvote *just* for someone turning on Sting *AGAIN*. Oh man, if I want *anything* out of Sting's WWE run it is for him to unwittingly get betrayed again, but in a new federation. I'd laugh so hard...

    ReplyDelete
  114. Why even sign the guy if he is going to come in and get buried in his first match?

...there is so much potential with bringing in Sting. If done correctly, you build to his being inducted into HOF and a retirement match....

    ReplyDelete
  115. *sigh...* A loss doesn't automatically equal a burial.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Wow, think you may be on to something....

    ReplyDelete
  117. Its a burial if he loses his only match, which was what Farva proposed...

...kinda reminds me how Vince fed Big Show to Austin as soon as he debuted, which was really stupid...

    ReplyDelete
  118. Big Show was in his 20's and about to enter the prime of his career. Sting is 10-15 years past his prime, and in his mid 50's. Scenarios couldn't possibly be more different.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I understand the age thing, but Im guessing Sting has a few matches left, makes no sense to debut him and have him lose to Cena...

...I mean, how many more guys need to pass the torch to this guy?

    ReplyDelete
  120. They absolutely want to do that.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I guess personally, the absolute last time I had any interest in seeing Sting wrestle would have been at WM 27 against Taker. I hope he just inducts Warrior to the HOF, and is used as a spokesperson or something. I doubt he has anything left to offer in the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  122. WWE copying TNA again. *smirks*

    ReplyDelete
  123. It's sad that I am more excited for the One Night Only PPV featuring TNA vs. WRESTLE-1 and LockDown than WrestleFREAKINGMania.

    ReplyDelete
  124. They should go back to the old Jack Tunney days where he would be on TV ONLY if there was a controversy or for a contract signing.

    ReplyDelete
  125. To a point, I agree with Mike. Wrestlers generally DO want to be the "center of attention", it's part of the alpha male mentality.

BUT: There's a difference between overshadowing through better work and overshadowing through drama/bullshit. The first is just a side effect of wrestling. The second is something wrong with not just the business, but modern culture/society in general, IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  126. The worst part of this is that even TNA does it. Because of Bischoff, EVERY wrestling company thinks they need to have an authority figure dictating what happens from show to show.

Jack Tunney and Gorilla Monsoon were awesome "Presidents" of the WWF. They should go back to that model.

    ReplyDelete
  127. The card for WM isnt set in stone just yet, so its hard to get too disappointed just yet...

    ReplyDelete
  128. I hope you buy those shows and double TNA's buyrates then.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Seriously bro, what's with the fucking ... on every post.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Funny, I thought you were agreeing with me as my name is also Mike...

...but yeah, I agree about one upsmanship, these guys probably live to be the best match on the card...

...but they dont want their friends match overshadowed by a chant...

    ReplyDelete
  131. "Thanks buckdiddy."

    Cute

"You can keep trying to take shots, and be vague"

I am going to keep taking shots because you have been a raging asshole the last 2 days and need to be snapped back into place. I haven't been vague though, so go look up the definition of that word before using it again.

    "contrarian"

Again understand words BEFORE using them.

"As much as you may THINK you're above this, you realize it was your
original pot shot that started this discussion again in this thread,
    right?"

What is it that I think I am above? Again I am correcting your behavior because you have gotten out of line. That's just a fact. Deal with it because I am right.

    See what I did there?

  132. He went to a public bathroom and read it on a wall.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Im over the whole Taker thing too, so I guess I can see where you are coming from....

...I think he would be motivated to have a few good matches on a big stage though....

    ReplyDelete
  134. That would be awesome if they had a Jack Tunney hologram appear for stuff like that...

    ReplyDelete
  135. I'm surprised I never caught shit, because I have a habit of using ellipses a little liberally also.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Casual fans were chanting for Daniel Bryan as well.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Maybe so, but it's too bad he was so stubborn for the past 10 years. Ok, maybe that number is unfair, but WWE has been PG for at least 4 years now. He could have jumped WAY earlier.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Just started as a little bit of a gimmick I suppose but now I literally cant stop...

    ReplyDelete
  139. After seeing the way some of his WCW buddies were used in the past, I wouldve held off too...

    ReplyDelete
  140. Man "other person is typing" popped up the instant I posted this... I must really have hit a nerve.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Agreed, but I'm just saying that if the Omaha crowd happens to enjoy the show and not hijack it, it doesn't make them wrong, that's all. Hey, even I hope they do it, it makes for fun TV.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Id be very surprised if an Omaha crowd knows how to hijack the show....

    ReplyDelete
  143. I thought it was 100% because of his "Born again Christian/WWE is smut" stance, and nothing to do with a push? That's what I always understood anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I filled up in Arkansas on the way home from Memphis and got some... comfortable... questions re: my Bad Religion t shirt.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Forever 21 > any other store. My gf shops there, any time I'm with her I look to go in check out the muff scenario, rock solid. If your ever in SD and wasnt to see hot tail than ranges from mid 30's to jail bait...Horton plaza forever xxi trust me. Probably don't sell wwe gear there though

    ReplyDelete
  146. You were being contrarian by simply disagreeing with what I was saying without any analysis or statements of your own. Like you said, just to try and be ass hole and "put me in place."

You can try and police how people post all you want. Saying things like "thats just a fact" and "deal with it" are just cop out phrases to try and sound authoritative. I've had normal expressive debates with alot of people. Very little of it was being an "asshole". Go back and read my discussions with worst in the world and Kyle warne. With very few exceptions, It couldn't have been more cordial. Why does debating the biggest story in the past 6 months bother you so much?

I am TERRIFIED that Sting is going to wrestle in WWE. Because I have no doubt that if he does, then this will happen:

    - HHH will turn face and feud with the Authority
    - Sting will come in as a face and be HHH's partner in a tag match against Orton and Batista
    - HHH will turn on Sting during the tag match
    - HHH will beat Sting at SummerSlam

If Sting comes in, that will happen. HHH has spent too long trying to emulate Ric Flair's career to pass up the opportunity to turn on Sting and play the entire thing straight.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Could be a part of it, but if Bruno can accept the product, it has to be acceptable...

    ReplyDelete
  149. HHH has already declared that Miz can no longer use the figure four...

...in other news, HHH has been practicing the figure four....

    ReplyDelete
  150. I don't care the reason why, THANK GOD FOR THAT!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  151. I dont think there is anything more awful about Miz than his attempts at trying to get his figure four over...

...I think Ziggler wouldve been the guy for Flair to give the rub and the figure four to...

    ReplyDelete
  152. Its gone on forever but I've never understood jumping on someone for using a wrestlers real name. If you called Daniel Day Lewis Daniel Plainview or Al Pacino Michael Corleone people would look at you like you were fucking retarded. I mostly use the gimmick name because its just shorter to type hhh or shiek or Kofi than use a real name, and I have no idea what like booker t or Christian or many other guys real names even are. But I've never seen the issue.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I thought Booker's name is really Booker....

    ReplyDelete
  154. Make sting join the VKM kiss my ass club.

    ReplyDelete
  155. lol yep, I remember a Miz vs Ziggler match on RAW last year where Flair was at ringside, it was just BEGGING for Flair to turn on Miz, it was just so natural... But it didn't happen... :(

    ReplyDelete
  156. Wiki agrees with you.

    Booker Tio Huffman Jr.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Id legit mark out for that, which makeup would Vince rather have on his ass though....

    ReplyDelete
  158. I never thought of that, but I'd actually enjoy a Vince/Sting confrontation. Where Vince would be bitter due to Sting's real life refusal to work for him for nearly 3 decades. Would be great promos I'm sure.

    ReplyDelete
  159. They blew it a few years ago when Riley turned on Miz, the crowd popped big for that....

....Riley pretty much disappeared after that, at least it seemed that way...

    ReplyDelete
  160. Vince would have to hold up his end of the promos, cause Ive never felt Sting was great on the mic...

    ReplyDelete
  161. I wonder which Booker his mom named him after, Bischoff? Anderson? Dusty?

...I cant see it being Booker T Washington though....

    ReplyDelete
  162. Just have the shield jump sting before he can talk and smush his face real good into vinces ass

    ReplyDelete
  163. If Perfect was Alive it would be cool to see managing his son Dolph,I believe Dolph was switched at birth and Henning raised Axel without knowing the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Considering his age, I REALLY doubt it's Easy E.

Born in 65 in Texas... I really don't have a clue on that one.

    ReplyDelete
  165. They could stretch it out for a weeks and make him do it in every make style of make up

    ReplyDelete
  166. 99% chance this happens

    ReplyDelete
  167. Booker T and the MG's....

    ReplyDelete
  168. Axel is really the son of Rene Goulet....

    ReplyDelete
  169. I'd actually enjoy a sting vs hhh program. It seems like it would be mildly entertaining, and hhh could get a nice win for himself without having to fuck up the push of young over talent

    ReplyDelete
  170. I was actually looking to respond to WITW, but yea...being a holier then tho douche definitely warranted an immediate response

    ReplyDelete
  171. This would not get old and Im thinking there wouldnt be any Daniel Bryan or CM Punk chants during these segments....

    ReplyDelete
  172. Really pushing this Kiss My Ass club thing, eh...

    ReplyDelete
  173. Tony Garea wants a paternity test.

    ReplyDelete
  174. In HHH's mind, he would be getting his win back from the Warrior....

    ReplyDelete
  175. WWE DID YOU KNOW?

Tony Garea gives Brian Bayless nightmares...

    ReplyDelete
  176. Yea no idea either. As if no one knows HHH's real name but somehow because I'm a fan, I'm not allowed to say Levesque. Pretty comical

    ReplyDelete
  177. I'm not proposing burying him but what sense would Sting beating anyone do? I only suggest him wrestling 1 or 2 matches because I bet hell have an extremely short shelf life as a draw (literally 1 or 2 matches).

    ReplyDelete
  178. Your_Favourite_LoserJanuary 31, 2014 at 11:38 AM

even better that he has the douche hipster glasses on that he doesnt even need

    ReplyDelete
  179. "You were being contrarian by simply disagreeing with what I was saying"

Show me where I said I agreed or disagree.

" Saying things like "thats just a fact" and "deal with it" are just cop out phrases to try and sound authoritative."

And you have been saying those non stop... I don't get your point in this sentence at all unless it is to admit your flaws... or if you don't get that I was mocking you.

" I've had normal expressive debates with alot of people."

In the past yes. You have been a complete asshole in this discussion.

" Go back and read my discussions with worst in the world and Kyle
warne. With very few exceptions, It couldn't have been more cordial."

    Yeah it really hasn't.

"Why does debating the biggest story in the past 6 months bother you so much?"

It doesn't, but that isn't what you were doing.

still a loser, still your favourite

    ReplyDelete
  181. Yeah, but only for like a month and it was almost twenty years ago...Wait, *Checks* Egads...

What am I doing with my life?

    ReplyDelete
  182. You can have him come in and beat the Khali's and Big Show's of the world....

    ReplyDelete
  183. LOL! Ouch! I sure hope Brad Maddox has insurance! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  184. Geeze, where has the time gone....

    ReplyDelete
  185. Welcome to the BoD!

    ReplyDelete
  186. The draw of Sting is going to be seeing him in the wwe for the first time. As soon as he is on wwe the returns on him as a draw are gonna diminsh, really quickly imo. The best way to use him would be 1-2 matches against a top level guy to capitalize on the novelty of seeing him in the wwe. If you put him in programs with khali and big show, those wouldn't draw plus you'd lose out on the novelty factor for future feuds

    ReplyDelete
  187. Stranger in the AlpsJanuary 31, 2014 at 11:50 AM

One gimmick meets another and they shake hands.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Man, those fans really stuck it to WWE with those chants after they fired CM Pu... oh wait, never mind.

    ReplyDelete
  189. "Do you read these things after typing them?" "It was a legitimate question, it sure doesn't seem like it." What purpose or point does that serve besides being argumentative?

I did get you were trying mock me. What you fail to understand, and why I edited it, is that you were using it in the context of policing a subjective argument. I was using it in talking about tangible things like contracts, when he quit, etc.

Besides asking Warne if he was acting dumb or something in that fashion, I didn't take personal shots, stray off topic, or mock anyone (which is more then I can say for you during this conversation). I don't have to pount out the hypocrisy in this, do I? I've vehemently defended a position. If this constitute "being an asshole" I can't help you at all. None of my conversations have been inflammatory.

    ReplyDelete
  190. I always liked how they utilized Bischoff until the Cena feud in 2005. He was never overly involved in storylines, just a dickhead authority figure who made things needlessly difficult for the faces. A heel Teddy Long, basically.

    ReplyDelete
  191. BoD Drama Llama Update: Still fuzzy.
