With a lot of ECW talk on the blog, I thought I would include three ECW shows to watch.
Barely Legal 1997
Heatwave 1998
Hardcore Heaven 2000

Since Barely Legal is the only original non WWE PPV I've seen from the company, I'm gonna go with that one.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they get some SNME up soon. I downloaded Obsession onto my phone I'm so ready.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we're back to Shit Show Saturdays. Gotta go with Barely Legal.
ReplyDeleteJerry Lawler was at the Barely Legal PPV but it wasn't what he thought it was.
ReplyDelete"One of these three has more votes than the other two" - Something ABeyAnce1 would say
ReplyDeleteYou are implying he thought there would be underage girls there, since he is into having sex with them.
ReplyDeleteVoted Hardcore Heaven because I've seen the other shows too many times.
ReplyDeleteEh, none of them really interest me. I'll check in at 11 and see what the second show is.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever watched any of these 3 in their entirety.
ReplyDelete"I don't think I've ever watched any of these 3 in their entirety because I am always too fucking drunk to stay conscious for 3 straight hours"
ReplyDeleteFTFY
Him and Grizzly Smith were supposed to be the tag team champions at Barely Legal... with RF Video doing the tape distribution.
ReplyDelete1 Upper
ReplyDeleteHeatWave 1998 is only notable for the Dudley's pre-match speech.
ReplyDeleteThe promos are more intense leading up to BoD Mania
ReplyDelete#1 contendership is on the line, emotions are high... and so is Farva!
ReplyDeleteI'll be 3 sheets to the wind tomorrow for my birthday so I won't be around for this. Still going to vote for Barely Legal.
ReplyDeleteI will post the "Road to BoD" mania in the Saturday Night thread tomorrow night
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday.
ReplyDelete#HeelTurn
ReplyDeleteThank you, whatculture for the pop-up bullshit I now have on my phone WTF
ReplyDeleteHow old are you turning?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday as well.
That'll be fun. Feelings will get hurt.
ReplyDelete29. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I've been staying away from the site. It's like an updated version of 1Wrestling.com.
ReplyDeleteGotta turn heel if you plan on challenging for my title. The BoD universe will boo you out of the building.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday bud!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to beat logic like that.
ReplyDeleteI heard your going over on jobber but then he's going to stay in the Arena four hours the match ends and claim that he's the Champion to an audience of zero.
ReplyDeleteAll he found were a bunch of......dudes.
ReplyDeleteI don't see you going over Jobber
ReplyDeleteBest username/profile pic combo I've seen in sometime. Kudos. Secondly, exactly. "Melina is so hot, amazing ass, but unlike every other guy in the locker room I didn't want to hit it. She was like my sister. My incredibly hot, athletic, tiger in the sack sister." It was kind of skeevy.
ReplyDeleteI lost a lot of respect for Foley from that book. I gained it all back when I saw hot hot his daughter was, but still, there was a period of reduced respect.
I'm sure Bayless has seen the signs from all the others posters "If jobber wins, we riot"
ReplyDeleteThis is why if you survive BoD 'Mania you will be... SAVED
ReplyDeleteI'll be there sweeping the BoD Arena floor. I'm a neat freak. But I won't say anything to him. I'll just shake my head.
ReplyDeleteThere were seemingly a lot of stories in the Deadspin series of articles that involved Foley trying to get with random ladies.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, BoD Newz Man Wade Michael Meltzer will have the rumorz leading up to the big show at Saturday's Road to BoD Mania.
ReplyDeletePlus, the midcard and undercard arches will be announced and set up.
Also, Farva is probably taking you in post count in three weeks or so. At least at this rate.
ReplyDeleteI know lots of smarks don't like Earl's referee style, but I was always fine with. When he was in the match you knew it was a big deal. Why did he come to replace Joey Marella, though? Marella got to referee Hogan-Andre, so it's odd that he eventually had Hebner leapfrog him.
ReplyDeleteI liked the character because I liked stats/numbers as a kid, but the matches were not very good. I always wish they had done an IRS-DiBiase feud at some point, but DiBiase endured a career ending injury before that could happen. Would've been funny to see IRS audit DiBiase and start taking his stuff. Of course, I'm not sure who the real "face" is in that feud because people hated DiBiase and it's not like the IRS is popular, but that feud wrote itself.
ReplyDeleteHeatwave '98
ReplyDeleteThey had to give him a decent salary to keep him honest. He had a history of taking bribes.
ReplyDeleteSaved from having to read any more of your posts? Awesome.
ReplyDeleteConsidering Foley's fantasy booking always involves Terry Funk, I imagine Foley is a bigger mark for Funk than himself.
ReplyDeleteWe need to do a contract signing between these two. Nothing could possibly go wrong with a contract signing in wrestling.
ReplyDeleteinternet browsers (with adblock, noscript etc.) > phones.
ReplyDeletemust still have been weird for his wife to read it.
ReplyDeleteI wish you well, in that, I wish you no specific harm.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday in advance. Have fun and go do some crazy shit.
ReplyDeleteCertain people better not be left off of BoD Mania. I'm still butthurt over the Rumble. But you would rather put people who don't even participate here in the rumble rather than the midacrders who make this Blog run on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteYou have a role in the show and will be featured in the road to BoD Mania
ReplyDeleteNope, fuck you and your ad-rate-scheme click-through nonsense. If I have to go to more than one page to read a bulleted fucking list, it ain't happening.
ReplyDelete
