Lightning Round: Tag Teams

Hey Scott.
Just watching some classic tag team wrestling on the WWE Network and wanted to know the best matches of the following:

The Midnight Express

Condrey & Eaton:  Against the Rock N Roll Express, really take your pick.

Eaton & Lane:  Against the Southern Boys at Bash 90.

The Rock 'n' Roll Express

Again, they had dozens of near-***** matches with the original Midnights.  I don’t think any are archived on the Network as of yet.  For the definitive Ricky Morton, check out RNR v. Andersons at Starrcade 86, where he gets the everloving fuck beaten out of him by the Andersons for like 20 minutes and it’s just awesome.

Road Warriors

Great matches were not really their thing.  To say the least.  Their title match against Tully & Arn at Starrcade 87 was damn good.  The scaffold match against the Midnights is pretty legendary, although not really my cup of tea.  I could wuss out and pick a Wargames, but I’m gonna go with the title win over the Midnights in 88.

Blanchard and Anderson

That is like asking me to choose between my children.  I’ll go with either of the Luger/Windham title switches because both were awesome for totally different reasons.

The Freebirds

Whatever their final match as a team ended up being.

The Fantastics

They had a ***** match against the Midnights in 88 where they won the US tag titles on Worldwide, and if you want a good approximation of it you can watch the rematch at Bash 88, which for me is a mere ****3/4.  They also had a brawl with the Sheepherders that Meltzer gave ***** to.

The Hart Foundation

They were never really a top level match quality team (that was more Bret & Owen’s deal) but they had some really spectacular matches with the Bulldogs in their prime.  The 2/3 falls match on SNME is probably the easiest to find, but there’s some house show matches on the MSG shows that will rock your shit.  In the 90-91 Harts rebirth they had some great matches with the Rockers, too.

British Bulldogs

Really, they self-destructed too soon to truly hit their potential, but I’m always fond of their matches with the Harts.  Also, they did a couple of runs in Japan that were supposed to be great, although I’ve never seen the matches in question.
Thanks for your help.

  1. Midnights/Southern Boys is the tits.

Greatest Tekno Team 2000 match. Go!

  2. What's the definitive rock n roll vs condry/Eaton match? Is there one considered to be better than the rest.

Also the freebirds (version 2.0) had a really good match with the young pistols (smothers and Armstrong) at the really awesome wrestlewar 91 show. I'd say its 3.5 stars-ish

    ReplyDelete
  3. It's a great point about the longevity of the Bulldogs. I just can't deny them though, they were so awesome while active and healthy. Had Dynamite stayed healthy we would've seen some serious greatness from them versus anybody. They matched up so well with everybody, sneaky strength and mad speed.
The Harts too. They were on and off for awhile, but when they were heels and on point, there was no better team. Add to that the incredible heel FACTION they became gives them more credence.
Harts vs Bulldogs is a great feud to watch with great matches.

  4. You know which team really got shortchanged? Brian Pillman and Tom Zenk. They had two very good PPV matches against The Freebirds (yes) and The Midnight Express and then inconspicuously dissolved without either guy really going on to anything better (for some time at least).

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yes, the 'birds and the Southern Boys had great chemistry together--though I suspect Steve & Tracy could have a good match with two broomsticks. Also, the 'birds' tag title loss to the Steiners (the negative title reign) is a really fun 6- or 7-minute sprint.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I was never that high on the Capital Combat match. The TV match from Main Event (I think) is way better, with one of the great heel beatdowns of all-time.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Best Eaton/Condrey-Rock 'n Roll match...I don't have a date, but it's a strong bet their best match was in Mid-South.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I strongly believe that the best WWF tag match of the '80s--whatever your choice is--wouldn't crack the JCP Top 50. Or the Mid-South or Memphis Top 50. It just was not a strong tag team match promotion. And I suspect the best '80s tag bouts involve the Rockers and Brain Busters rather than the Bulldogs and Harts. The latter pairing had plenty of decent to good matches, but I haven't seen one that I could consider great.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Best Road Warriors match I've seen is the Tokyo Dome match against Hogan & Tenryu from the WWF/SWS show. Total hate-filled, kickass brawl. Blood. The quasi-dream-match aspect, which the match lives up to. Despite a shitty copout ending I liked it better than Hogan vs. Hansen.

Lesser-known great Rock 'n Rolls matches: the Midnights match at WrestleWar '90, Rock 'n Rolls/Duggan vs. Midnights/Ladd from Houston, the loser-leaves-SMW cage match against the Heavenly Bodies.

    ReplyDelete
  10. IF you want a great Freebirds match, there's the six-man brawl they had with Kevin, Kerry, and Mike in 1984. I believe even Meltzer had praise for it. Find it on YouTube.

  11. Best Sheephearders / Bushwackers match?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Heel LOD vs hogan and warrior could have drawn so much money it's scary

    ReplyDelete
  13. Those rednecks loved that tag team wrestling and man did those promotions do it better. I love old school jcp and mid South tag team wrestling and would like to see a lot more of it on the net work.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hey what was the deal with them switching to the young pistols? Just a random gimmick change? Southern boys seems like a better name.

    A short one.

  16. Magoonie NOT Teddy BelmontApril 29, 2014 at 1:57 AM

You're right, that would have been all kinds of amazing. LOD just destroys everybody until they reach Hogan/Warrior. Not sure if Hogan at that point would have played ball enough to get a couple of solid beatdowns before the blowoff.

    ReplyDelete
  17. What about Condrey and Rose?
    Or Gunn and Holly?

    ReplyDelete
  18. No love for The Road Warriors vs Sting and Rhodes at starcade '88 Scott? Outside of the finish I always loved that match. So cool seeing Sting do that dive to the floor plus the Roadies were so badass during this time. Probably why they had to turn them.

  20. MaffewOfBotchamaniaApril 29, 2014 at 3:04 AM

Sheepherers vs. Fantastics from The Crockett Cup, baby!

Butch (or Luke) gets his nose broken and carries on because he's a tough fuck. Awesome match.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wow, Scott just got a 5th grade note passed to him. "do yo like me? *check yes or no*

    ReplyDelete
  22. Very true. The BoD did most of the leg work non that one. It was lile the old NWO beatdowns, the B team dies the work and then Scott just comes in and spray paints BoD on Calibers back

    ReplyDelete
  23. I didnt dislike it.

They onviously could have gone with a team hell no explodes angle instead of see no evil 2.

But its a spring fued. I dont expect much on top until summerslam. This is the time for the midcard to shine to see who is really over on ppv.

    ReplyDelete
  24. "Its wrestling"

    The defense rests.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I admit brie coming out with bryan isnt my choice. She isnt aj. They dont have the same dynamic and chemistry in the ring.

Its more of a case of jimmy garvin and sunshine being better than jimmy garvin with his wife precious.

If this was a one off, fine. But im sure brie will be on his arm siphoning his heat soon enough.

    ReplyDelete
  26. You do realize undertaker has had his urn stolen... and his manager mixed in cement right?

You do realize bret was depushed in 95

You do realize flair had to job to bischoff at starrcade?

You do realize goldberg was accused of raping Liz?

You do realize cena was stabbed in the kidneys by carlitos bodyguard right?

    Hhh fucked a corpse.

    I can keep going.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Probs be a little more readable without you here. Good riddance

    ReplyDelete
  28. Best MX vs RnR Express match is either their 2/1/86 handheld or the 8/16/86 handheld. The 4/12/86 match that aired on World Pro Wrestling is excellent but is slightly clipped. Superstars on the Superstation from 2/2/86 is not very good.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Guess what you doing when you do that?

You are creating a monster face.

Bray doesnt cheat. Thats the only problem I have with the booking of the character.

    ReplyDelete
  30. You get more retarded by the week. Maybe your rich private school life didn't prepare you for reality. Or you don't watch wrestling but pretend you do in order to fit in. Either way you get worse with every passing week. Get help before it's too late.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The problem with the wm match was bray never cheated once.

If he had cheated once to the point where a visible pin or tap was documented then this fued could continue. I get why cena won. I dont get how wm is a blow off for some and just another ppv for others.

    Thats bad continuity

    ReplyDelete
  32. How did you manage to see the Kane segments but nothing else? By pretending to watch if course!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Those aren't as bad as Kane man!!! I don't watch but Kane sucks dude!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Cena has been afraid of Wyatt's words for a while. It's not the man he fears it's the reality of being thrown aside losing his spot, losing the cenation. Without his fans he's nothing or so he thinks. Bray has him doubting his own motives as struggling not to destroy bray like he wants.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I watched the opening segment, loved it, and didn't watch anything else last night. Just wasn't feeling it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Except with jokes. He's like 5 for 599 in the humor category. Just not funny LOL LOOK ITS NOT DANIEL BRYAN HI NOT DANIEL BRYAN LOLZ

    ReplyDelete
  37. You dont watch... oy vey...

All im saying is that fwiw, this is a spring thing and who knows this might be the match that finally writes out kane out the wwe for good. Going out on his back to put over his friend bryan.

Its harmless. Bryan has to look like a dragon slayer if you guys want him to be facing brock by summerslam or survivor series (im against that personally but whatevz) this accomplishes both.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The only reason I goto npp is for dougie.

I think he is hilarious. We just had a back and forth over there about his obsession with underground homosexual vacation spots. I couldnt stop laughing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. You need a break cult.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Notice how he never actually answered if he liked you Magoonie?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oooo... this thread could be interesting.

  42. Mister_E_Studd_Got100ProblemsApril 29, 2014 at 6:07 AM

Dougie has always made me laugh fairly consistently.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The BoD has been a blessing to me over the last year particularly... even though I've been coming to whatever site Scott had/wrote at since like 1998... man that makes me feel old.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Midnights/Fantastics at Clash of the Champions is my favorite match for both teams.

    ReplyDelete
  45. ... I was channeling the spirit of jobber.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Mister_E_Studd_Got100ProblemsApril 29, 2014 at 6:12 AM

I became Calvin & Hobbes guy. There is another Calvin guy kicking around that I've seen from time to time though.

    ReplyDelete
  47. There had to be a good Rumble they were both in right?

    ReplyDelete
  48. You show a little promise above with the Cena/Wyatt post... then this. It's just sad.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hey, what can I say? I find the dude seriously unfunny. The only person here who's jokes make me cringe more is tommy hall oh and farva

    ReplyDelete
  50. Mister_E_Studd_Got100ProblemsApril 29, 2014 at 6:21 AM

Did you ever think that you would have THE preeminent blog in the emerging field of wrestling/poop?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Arghh!!

Fail on my part. I should have thought about it before responding.

I can see jobbers pov though even if I disagree with it. Everybody wants to see bryan protected and put on great matches with no BS surrounding it like in roh but at the end of the day... its wwe.

    Its wrestling.

And its a test. Can he make sugar out shit at the top? Will he buck? Can he get this over? Can we trust him to perform at the same level with any program? They do it to all their guys.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)April 29, 2014 at 6:26 AM

That Freebirds/Road Warriors match where the 'birds painted confederate flags on their faces was legendary.

    ReplyDelete
  53. You're going him too much credit. I mean he tuned into raw just to see the Kane mask segments and the Kane segment itself somehow. Otherwise he doesn't watch unless it's a ppv. People like him won't be happy unless it's cm punk vs Bryan in a three hour iron man match.

I fear he watches the ppvs just so he can hate on wwe. It brings him joy in his pathetic life.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Was the crowd as dead as we were criticizing it for, or was that a possible audio issue. Because for most of the night that crowd was just about comatose.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Part of the problem was Herd's dislike of Cornette/Midnights, which was returned with interest by the three. What surprises me is Bobby not leaving WCW once his contract was up, going to join Stan and Cornette in SMW.

But, with the career Bobby ended up having... he made a pretty good decision there.

    ReplyDelete
  56. As the Sheepherders/Sheepfuckers, I bet they had a few wild brawls that would hold up... as the Bushwhackers, there's about a 0.1% chance a match they were in cracked ***

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yep. Between Midnights/Fantastics (where the Dusty Finish can be forgiven), and Luger-Windham/Anderson-Blanchard, and the crowd for both those matches... THAT'S why tag team wrestling's decline is so criticized by some of us.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I feel like this community is the EU and Scott is Lucas. He recognizes it is there, but it will never be on the level of what he creates. He even retroactively adds to his stuff stuff with Scott Sez. Changing his opinion of HHH HBK from SS 02 is his Greedo shot first.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I love to hate Dougie. He's definitely good for some zingers and a feud every once in awhile.

The emoction and weird homosexual foreplay he's had with Jesse Baker have always prevented me from being completely pro Dougie tho.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Why can't you let people have an opinion?

    ReplyDelete
  61. No Imposter Kane from what was it, 2007?

    ReplyDelete
  62. lol, just give it up!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. oh... alright...

Tell me how you really feel though.. lol

    ReplyDelete
  64. Much as I hate to agree with you... I do. I am not going to quit watching or anything, but man do the current storylines suck... and aren't even bad enough to be entertaining suck... just boring and ass backwards (aside from Evolution/Shield I guess) and even though I missed most of it last night I didn't feel like I MISSED anything. Most of the goodness from 'mania/ManiRAW left quickly.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Because these segments don't exist in a vacuum. If you're in the business of telling stories (as the WWE will tell you they are), "where is this going" and "why is this happening" are questions that you, as a storyteller, need to be able to answer. You don't want or need to spoil the story by answering your "readers," but you need to have answers to those questions in mind every step of the way and I don't think they do. This storyline feels like each show's segment is written by someone who only heard a Telephone Game version of the storyline up until now.

First, it's about Cena's legacy and Bray's gonna destroy it by making Cena act like a monster. Now, the legacy thing is kinda forgotten about and it's now all about making Cena into a monster. The journey has become the destination. Except now it's not about that, either. Now it's about the fans not seeming to be fully behind him (OH HAI WELCOME TO 5 YEARS AGO).

One week, Bray is a scary cat who you can't feel out because he doesn't care about winning or losing (despite, you know, wrestling matches and going for pinfalls). The next week, the threat is vanquished and it's awfully HUSTLEY, LOYALISH AND RESPECTIFIED up in here. One week, Cena does his Melodrama Face in the ring and it's "Cena looks shook, John I AGREE MAGGLE I'VE NEVER SEEN HIM LOOK THIS BROKEN BEFORE" and the next week it's "lol look at this funny photoshop of bray wyatt as a fat lady."

If there was even a scant feeling that this storyline had some sort of track it was following, people would be more forgiving, but this thing is approaching "WHO IS DRIVING BEAR IS DRIVING HOW CAN THIS BE" levels of continuity and focus problems.

Yes, the segment itself was fine. Great, even. Everybody did a good job playing their roles, the announcers silence sold the creepiness... All of it. Loved it.

If Brock Lesnar, two weeks before WM30, came to the ring dressed as Doink the Clown, handed out Jimmy John's sandwiches to the front row and then pulled a guy dressed like a Subway $5 Footlong from under the ring and F5'ed him on the announce table, it would have been a great, memorable visual, but it would have had no point.

"Who cares, shut up, enjoy it" is the proper response to stupid shit like "huh, Bryan isn't even on Raw this week, BURIED." When wondering aloud where a nonsensical story that keeps shifting tracks is going? Not so much.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I really think someone should send Scott a lightning round of posters names just to see how he feels about everyone... but really just for the ridiculous drama it would start.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Give what up? Pointing out your condescension?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Wow, very well said.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Wouldn't be the first time. I remember the "SHAWN MICHAELS HAD GREAT MATCHES IN 1996 AND THEREFORE WASN'T A FAILURE AS CHAMPION" despite not making any money meltdown a few weeks ago.

The irony is that 1996 Shawn's male stripper ass-shaking was more embarrassing than anything Kane has been involved with since 2007 or so.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Meekin cracked, and it was both glorious an sad.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I think hogan would take the beatdown as long as he wins. Warrior might be theone who doesn't play ball.

    ReplyDelete
  72. You summed it up perfectly.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Me at family reunions.

    ReplyDelete
  74. In the form of posting emails.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Where Cornette draped the racket over Pillman's throat and Eaton leg or knee dropped it from the top rope? I remember my uncle taped the PPV off satellite for me, and there was a half hour pre show included, which showed the end of that match. Pillman's sell of it had me fearing for his life.

    Ahh, to be 10 again.

    ReplyDelete
  76. HowmuchdoesthisguyweighApril 29, 2014 at 7:21 AM

Agreed. There is literally NOTHING wrong with this build. I didn't even think they could make Kane credible but they have actually done a good job doing so. (Not credible as in "he can win", but credible as in it's a worthy opponent for a spring ppv)

    ReplyDelete
  77. I will always thank Scott for letting me witness one of the greatest online meltdowns in blog history in Charlie Reneke .

    ReplyDelete
  78. Yeah, come on Paul, I think he even announced when he got a new avatar.

    ReplyDelete
  79. He needs to just take his ball and go home.

    ReplyDelete
  80. That would be interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I feel great! Might be because I watch things I enjoy and don't watch shows just to bitch about them on the Internet. How you doin?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Don't lump Condrey/Rose in there with Gunn/Holly. They were a legit great team. The matches they had with Cornette's Midnight Express were awesome and the angle was pretty legendary.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Man The Fuj is always gonna be good. Wrestling stopped getting me angry when i finally accepted the fact that my opinion never mattered to those who book it.

    ReplyDelete
  84. That's probably the best way to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  85. why dont you do it?

    ReplyDelete
  86. I'm betting there would be a lot of, "I'm not sure who that is" responses.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Well, last night sucked. This show was overall pretty bad (what with the 435 recaps of the opening segment and Kane's destruction of Bryan), and the Avalanche crapped themselves in the last 7 minutes of the game.

This Extreme Rules card is looking really boring overall. You're going to have the World champion defending probably third from the top against a challenger that has zero chance of winning, a Cena-Wyatt cage match that will be worth it only if Cena turns, and a six-man main event where The Shield will get the win but Evolution will destroy them afterward.

Kinda disappointing coming off such an amazing WrestleMania.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I've gone from checking the site out when I'm bored to having it open almost all day at work, then checking again later when I'm home with nothing to do.

I may not be a Top 5 poster, but I definitely spend a good chunk of my time on this blog.

    ReplyDelete
  89. LOL, I remember everyone predicting the Bad News gimmick was death for Barrett. I'm guessing many of the same people thought Fandango was going to be a big deal after last year. We should probably all admit that we don't know what the fuck we're talking about most of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  90. The responses you will get:
    1. Remember Austin's first PPV defense in 1998?
    2. STOP OVERANALYZING AND JUST ENJOY IT

    ReplyDelete
  91. Does anyone really care what Scott thinks of them? Well, I know a few posters who care deeply....

    ReplyDelete
  92. AverageJoeEverymanApril 29, 2014 at 7:35 AM

hell I love myself multiple times a day

    ReplyDelete
  93. I mean, really, is there anything else from last night I need to check out? I read Andy's recaps and I get the feel for everything. Drunken Flair? Seen it. Making a fool of Sandow? Seen it. Kane messing up Daniel Bryan? Seen it.

    Andy's recaps are a godsend.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I think most everyone said it would be death if they did it half-assed, which is what they were doing to start. But he's really picked up lately and he's getting over by his charisma and mic work.

    ReplyDelete
  95. And I will respond:

    1. No
    2. Shut up

(Actually, I do remember Austin's first defense against Foley. That was at least a main event level match-up and was pretty sweet in the context of Austin-McMahon).

    ReplyDelete
  96. So, who gets fired THIS time over Flair being drunk?

    ReplyDelete
  97. To make you ask me questions like that.

    ReplyDelete
  98. oh... you would be surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  99. He didn't meltdown he evolved beyond us... or whatever it was he said.

    ReplyDelete
  100. This Reneke meltdown seems legendary. Wish I could see it

    ReplyDelete
  101. I know people care, this thread just is sad on many, many levels. Like no offense to the people who I get along with on here, but once I leave the site, its not like I think "gosh, I wonder who Parallax is sleeping with now?" Or "How does fake Dr. Farva always run into Jimmy Hart at bars in Florida?"

    ReplyDelete
  102. You seemed to wanna know if scott likes people, take the initiative.

    ReplyDelete
  103. It would be awesome if he just buried everyone

    ReplyDelete
  104. Yes. This was something I legitimately wanted, and not me being a snarky asshole

    ReplyDelete
  105. Thats why I said this thread could be interesting. Just to see who needs to be put over by scott.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Brain Busters vs Hart Foundation at SummerSlam 89 is a pretty much flawless tag team match. Maybe the best WWF tag team match of the 80s.

    ReplyDelete
  107. You don't devote your outside life to thinking about who I bang? WHY DON'T YOU HANG YOURSELF ASSHOLE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  108. I don't think it is still available on the site sadly.

    ReplyDelete
  109. That's why I never get people that carry on prolonged grudges or feuds on here. It's easy to argue or disagree in the.moment, but to see people carry it over into real animosity is just sad. Who cares what a random wrestling board poster thinks of you. Some get way to invested in this

    ReplyDelete

Yeah, it's a community. In my real life, which includes a job, a wife and some schizophrenic stepson drama, I don't really think of the blog and it's various personalities. But this place does offer me a few moments of escape several times a day.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Man... you knocked that one out the park.

Makes no sense to have animosity on a blog. But c'est la vie.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Basically he pulled out the whole William Shatner Get a Life speech from the SNL episode where Shatner is at the Trekkie convention.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I tired to find it via archive but it doesnt come up.

    "My william shatner moment"

    ReplyDelete
  115. Damn. Nothing beats a good meltdown. It seems almost mythical at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  116. And an opportunity to spread your evil agenda!

    ReplyDelete
  117. I looked for it like a week ago when it came up... tried several different searches and got nothing also.

    ReplyDelete
  118. According to some giant cube in the desert I have a very giant fragile ego were I need to know what everyone thinks of me.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Yea, in all fairness to Meekin tho he's one of the posters I usually read.

    ReplyDelete

    I'm not evil.........trust me. *winks*

    ReplyDelete
  121. Didnt even see this thread but greatest tag team of all time?

Midnight express. Eaton/condrey over eaton/lane just cuz of the heat the first team would get.

The matches while great are interchangeable with lane. Especially towards the end. Condrey was just a master of pyschology and getting heat.

    ReplyDelete
  122. is it on the old place before this became .net?

    ReplyDelete
  123. I remember it being on rspwfaq.com and I wish Scott had saved the archives.

    SAD DAY

    ReplyDelete
  124. Someone must find this meltdown and a picture of Harvey Whipplemans wife? I'd be indebted

    ReplyDelete
  125. Yeah, they're nice.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Magoonie's last sixth-grade schoolgirl question aside, Scott, I definitely appreciate you for making the workday go by much faster

    ReplyDelete
  127. I should tell Abeyance to do it or he'll never be Top 5

    #BullyingCanBeFun

    ReplyDelete
  128. I don't think I would have either lol

    ReplyDelete
  129. Each one at different degrees.

    ReplyDelete
  130. It makes me wanna save all meltdowns...

    Is that bad?

    ReplyDelete
  131. not at all. They are the best part of nearly all online forums.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Not at all. Basically a "Meltdown Preservation Society" of sorts... kind of like they do with old movies.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Well neither one has an alibi in being the same person....................

    ReplyDelete
  134. LOL Goodness......dude REALLY hates The Freebirds. I wasnt a fan of Freebirds V2.0 but the original 3 man version was great

    ReplyDelete
  135. You know coming from a guy that doesnt see eye to eye with me for whatever reason... i can accept that.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Would never work today

    ReplyDelete
  137. Nope. I have the Cucch DX book review thread bookmarked for a quick laugh if I need it

    ReplyDelete
  138. post that link for me will ya?

  139. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)April 29, 2014 at 7:58 AM

Nope, but a good match nonetheless.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Kind of like Eugene with the Rock.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Jack Victory in his shoot interview has an AWESOME/hilarious story about this match

    ReplyDelete
  142. They were a GOOD team.....Don't know about GREAT

  144. Armchair booking bothers me because it leads to smarks bitching that their ideas are better and should be used, which results in more anger.

Jesse baker is awesome though, always makes me laugh and feel better about myself. I think that's why i frequent here. No matter how bad things may be I can take solace in n

  145. I dont know....they had a few, but the Southern territories just had way more. Cant forget about World Class either

    ReplyDelete
  146. This is the point where I will say no.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Thats a good one. Wheres is cuuch?

    ReplyDelete
  148. Hiding himself in shame of being a bad writer?

    ReplyDelete
  149. I would say their best match was probably in Mid-South when the R&R won the belts on TV, or the 2nd time they won them on a house show (that aired on PowerPro wrestling TV)

    ReplyDelete
  150. Like I said before when he talks abt the addiction and his life, he is mad engaging but the reviews... yeesh

    ReplyDelete
  151. Not sure. He posted a few reviews since...they act got a little better. I'm actually a fan of his drug/rehab stories, hate his reviews tho.

He's had a "draft" up forever on the blogger/posting site. Hopefully he'll make a return soon

I would expect that he would have no strong feelings about the vast majority.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Midnights are my all time favorite team. Agreed, after watching more of Eaton/Condrey they drew more heat. But, I grew up on Beautiful Bobby and Sweet Stan.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Harvey was straight?

    ReplyDelete
  155. FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  158. Is this just the Eaton Midnight Express? Because Bob and Bart had some swell ****** matches.

    ReplyDelete
  159. TJ: anybkdy read abt the pacman urban legend being confirmed in the southwest?

    ReplyDelete
  160. daaaamn, that's a "dream match" I have never thought of before. and a perfect SummerSlam main event.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Ha. That's the word. In the Riggs shoot that Bayless reviewed last week, apparently Wippleman wife was a complete whore and slept with everyone. Dieing for a pic of her

    ReplyDelete
  162. ?? Or do you mean the ET Atari games getting buried?

    ReplyDelete
  163. I'll definitely agree with that. The Stan Lane version was awesome but the condrey version was that much better.

And honestly, thanks to the network and YouTube Beautiful Bobby is retroactively becoming one of of my top 5 favorites ever.

Ryan Murphey is now posting as The Fuj. Story at 11.

  165. Yes the desert deal.

    ReplyDelete
  166. As a gimmick, they were outstanding. Unless we're talking Buddy/Gordy, the wrestling was usually subpar.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Ah, the first site I ever went to for Scott. Time flys.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I wish I had done the same.

    ReplyDelete
  169. You the man. Wish I had time to read it now

    ReplyDelete
  170. Okay thats the beginning but in the comments he writes this waaaaaaaaaay tooooooo loooooong diatribe and thats the meltdown.

    The comments arent there anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  171. That was the best part

    ReplyDelete
  172. Yeah I read about that. A whole bunch of ET Atari games buried in concrete in the New Mexico landfill.

  173. Damn, just saw no comments

    ReplyDelete
  174. Well if you're gonna have a favorite match you might as well make it a great one. I don't think anybody can argue with that match.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Lol its now a meltdown to say a horror movie on raw sucks. Maybe you just have shitty retard taste.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Right. Cuz thats when I coined the term "meltdown". I said something along the lines of the guy who defended britney on youtube.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Dumbest comment from a worthless poster ive ever seen.

    ReplyDelete
  178. I know, I'm upset too.

    ReplyDelete
  179. The fact that the MX could change a member midstream, and go right on having great matches, seals that deal.

Now for a (tougher?) question: Better tag wrestler: Bobby Eaton or Arn Anderson?

    ReplyDelete
  180. A 9 or so year old parallax anaged to somehow pick up TBS without even having cable (I didn't grow up rich like you) and was able to watch COTC 1 as it aired so it would probably have a special place in my memory even if it sucked... but it was... wait for it... FANTASTIC

    ReplyDelete
  181. Everyone's favorite Rockers match? General consensus will probably be vs Orient Express at Royal Rumble '91.

While not ***** the opening match at Wrestlemania 7 with Haku and Barbarian was loads of fun.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Lol... fat finger on my cell.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Also I'd say signing back in as a guest to upvote your own dog shit post is border line mentally insane behavior. God I hate how the internet and wrestling attract such fucking weirdos and creeps.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Lol. A guy defending Britney on youtube might be the most interesting tangent in this thread

    ReplyDelete
  185. So you're saying you have a life. Dork

    ReplyDelete
  186. Are we talking overall? Yeesh...

Bobby could work from the top rope to the floor. Arn could too but he wasnt as aerial. But arn could talk circles around bobby.

Its more of a push... but leaning towards arn. SLIGHTLY

    ReplyDelete
  187. Hr did have great matches and wasn't a failure because he kept a dying company living. Sorry your dumb fuck homophobia makes you dislike him and his amazing matches. Your loss. Also being right isn't a meltdown. But being a troll on a wrestling message board is spending your life in a way that's more embarrassing than that shitty Kane segment, so maybe you should reevalue your life IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Meh if you never want to be among the BoD elite that's your call.
