  1. Huh. I didn't realize CRZ was still around doing this until just now.

  2. He still has his message board and tweets quite a bit during Raw and what not. We had him on the podcast last year which was cool for me since I loved reading his stuff ever since I found him back in 1998.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Cool. I used to enjoy his literal blow-by-blow recaps of RAW. And I think he did Nitro too, didn't he?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Yeah, his full archives are still up at www.slashwrestling.com ...great time killers to this day.

Here is our interview with him:

  5. I liked this shoot although I think Rob has now officially gone off the deep end with his latest desperate tactic: CELEBRITY SHOOT INTERVIEWS (I wish that was only a bad joke).
And even worse, the first one is Matt Striker interviewing Corey Feldman.
This whole idea has disaster written all over it.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I think he has Tan Mom for the second one.

Stern basically does celebrity shoot interviews with his guests and is roughly 1,000,000x the interviewer than Feinstein.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Yeah, it's like Rob is openly begging Sean Oliver to keep taking away his business at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  8. He seems to think he is a big shot now and had the other guy (forget his name) conduct the wrestling shoots

    ReplyDelete
  9. wow hogan is such an asshole i dont care if hes mellowed out you dont treat people the way he has and then change THE LEOAPARD DOESNT CHANGE ITS SPORTS

    ReplyDelete
  10. Aye - Stern, when he gets someone good on, is God-tier. When the person opens up and there's a relaxed vibe, he gets great stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Well, as I learned yesterday, he was featured (albeit quickly) on a justie-themed television program. He's famous!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Rick Steiner: What. The. Fuck?

    ReplyDelete
  13. The wrestling section of CRZ's board is one of the best discussion sites on the internet. I always check out the threads there every week.

  14. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, my buddy took up any odd job that he could because the job market was in the toilet. One of them was helping in the remodeling of a Chik Fila . The contractor who hired him would candidly shoot the shit with him during their lunch break. The guy got on the subject of his ex-wife, who (prior to their divorce) he allegedly tracked down at a hotel in Georgia and found her in a suite ...awaiting to be double teamed by "a pro wrestling tag team."

My friend pressed him for details, but the guy couldn't remember names and the only time frame he provided was "mid 90s." After I heard about it, I deduced it may have been the Godwins.

I toootally overlooked the American Males.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I know. I'm so over wrestler's shit stories.

i notice a distinct lack of ironmike in the comments

    ReplyDelete
  17. Wrestlers and shit is the one thing I don't understand at all.

    ReplyDelete
  18. "Saturn brings her girl in bed with him then Raven told the girl he was
with to blow Riggs. So the girl blows Riggs as Raven is watching"

    BUT WAS HE EATING CEREAL?!

    ReplyDelete
  19. The Ghost of Faffner HallApril 25, 2014 at 2:33 PM

I don't know-- you can't really say stuff like that anymore and then be surprised when there's a reaction against you. I'm sure he meant what he said, but as for intentionally trolling, I think he knew exactly what he was starting.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think it's a thing of the past now. Although I bet wrestlers today send each other cartoony poo emoticons as ribs instead now.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Love the All Time PPV cards. I find myself yelling at my computer quite often when I disagree with something on those.

And Graham has gotten quite a bit better after his less-than-stellar-nerve-filled first show. I'm impressed.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Not this time. Raven does some fucked up stuff though

    ReplyDelete
  23. He's off at a rally to tar and feather Ellen Degeneres.

"that ended once Van Hammer lit up a cigarette and wouldn’t put it out when asked by security"

hammer seems to fuck a lot of things up. he refused to be "private stash" in the MIA b/c he felt the fake rank was too beneath him

    jbl = poopy

    ReplyDelete
  26. And trying to chunk Bull Pain into the pool at a Spring Break Nitro, when Bischoff told the boys in the back that spot was reserved for Mysterio and Flair at the end of the night.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The negative with these is there's always one that never shuts up, like Michael Hayes ruining all those roundtables.

That would certainly happen with Scott Levy.

    ReplyDelete
  28. What would happen if you locked Riggs, Levy, JBL, Rick Steiner, a NXT rookie, and Harvey Whipplemans wife in a room together for 48 hours???

    And......Go

    ReplyDelete
  29. Something to do with shit

    ReplyDelete
  30. Point 5

not even a 1/10. I mean it was uninspired but that's just harsh

    ReplyDelete
  31. The rookie would get anally violated by JBL (unless female), Riggs and Raven would fuck Harvey's wife, and Steiner would save the rookie by knocking JBL the fuck out.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nailing Harvey Whippleman's wife is the funniest thing ever. It looks to be a BoD meme too

    ReplyDelete
  33. There's no point in giving Nazis a warning. Ask Neville Chamberlain!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Seems like a good guy and he had a lot of great stories. Didn't bury anyone either!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Harvey's wife would then get on top of a passed out JBL and try to fuck him

    ReplyDelete
  36. Could Harvey Whippleman's wife be Harvey Whippleman in drag? I remember him winning the women's title that way on Raw.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Not until the poor kid and Rick Steiner had their turns.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Warning? All he ever gave them was what they wanted.

    ReplyDelete
  39. You know how to review a shoot interview. Props. Most people, usually ones that have been sent promotional material, give two paragraphs and say "you need to get this!" You, on the other hand, actually give away content.

Who knew Riggs was so awesome that he could "keep up" with everyone but Lynn? Right. I'm sure he had more stamina, psychology and the moveset to keep up with a 1996 Rey Mysterio or Dean Malenko.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Maybe it's the overall tone, but I read that as "Among the guys Riggs worked with, the only one he couldn't keep up with was Lynn."

I don't know if Riggs worked with Rey or Dean or Eddie in more than one-offs, though. But he was never considered a cruiserweight...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Bayless good reviews, I enjoyed reading both. The behind the scenes party stories never get old and are always entertaining.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ha! Glad you enjoy them!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Just listened to the ppv pod on my way home from work. Good stuff. Definitely Austin/Dude > Punk/Bryan for the context of the podcast.

We need more list-a-manias!!! Best angles. Best matches. Scotts favorite intimate nights with HHH!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Duly noted.

That choice was really tough but I couldn't leave Austin/Dude out.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Wonder if Striker's schtick of making up facts will be prevalent. "Here he is...the man whose films have grossed $100 billion worldwide...winner of 7 Academy Awards...and a Nobel Prize in Chemistry!...Corey Feldman!"

    ReplyDelete
  46. After watching Prichard's shoot today, I wish I watched this one. Not that it was bad, but nothing we haven't heard before.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I cannot support that sentence enough.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Always good man, thanks

    ReplyDelete
  49. I have that too but it's seven hours long.

It would take me a week to watch that

I actually sat through three and a half hours of the Riggs shoot in one setting because it was so good.

    ReplyDelete
  50. "So Corey, can you describe to us the thoughts in your head when you beat out Cuba Gooding, Jr. to win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for your cameo in Red Line? How did Chad McQueen feel about you winning when he had the lead role and he wasn't even nominated?"
If Striker asked a question that bogus, Corey's reaction would totally be worth the price of the DVD.
