This is the only newsworthy item from today. Whoever recapped this did an excellent job.

Ha, loved the shot at us by Triple H regarding KENTA & Devitt.
ReplyDelete"This is the only newsworthy item from today."
ReplyDeleteLIES
"WWE has started work on a new Randy Savage documentary for a DVD release."
also:
"There has been talk that this summer's edition of the CBS show Big Brother will feature past competitors teaming with a family member. Frank Eudy was a contestant on season 14 of the show, and word is that he and his father, professional wrestler Psycho Sid, may be part of this season."
and we all need to know what matt morgan thinks:
"I'd prefer to pay MORE $ each month if that meant no advertising in 2015 for #WWENetwork. To me, Old Stuff& original shows/docs r worth it!"
lol at HHH no selling Kenta and Devitt. What is the HIPPA law?
ReplyDeletemedical records privacy
ReplyDeleteHow would HHH discussing Christian and Rey be any different from a GM discussing an injury to one of his players?
ReplyDeletegood question
ReplyDeletehere's a recent article with regards to athletics programs
http://www.nwitimes.com/sports/high-school/coaches-schools-unsure-about-hipaa-rules-when-athletes-are-injured/article_b56ced76-3f51-540a-a4e8-41d4754d695d.html
I just wanna know who's teaching all these recruits the main event spinebuster?
ReplyDeleteSaw somewhere that said HHH's spinebuster was the best there ever was.
ReplyDeleteI weep for this generation.
SPINE ON PINE
ReplyDeleteSPINE ON PINE
SPINE ON PINE
Did Adam Rose show up and tell Triple H don't be a lemon?
ReplyDeleteWell, that's just stupid. The Mt. Rushmore thing is a metaphor. This thread is REAL!!
ReplyDeleteLAYLA'S AIDS!!!
ReplyDelete"Who is an A+?" "WWE Stock Prices" "CM Punk Walks Out", "Daniel Bryan"
ReplyDeleteI'm not reading an article from that lying dirt sheet.
ReplyDeleteMeltzer's sources indicate that Triple H doesn't know who Kenta or Devitt are.
ReplyDeleteDAMN you must wanted to have to job to some random 20 post count jobber at BoD RAW next week.
ReplyDeleteI quickly glanced at the headline and saw "Triple H's NXT Takeover" and assumed they had an angle where he single handedly pinned the entire NXT roster at once because HHH.
ReplyDelete#SmarkLife
HHH already burying Devitt and KENTA...yikes
ReplyDeleteI'd say nxt has been more of a flop than a success. Big E, Rusev, Rose, etc busts
ReplyDeleteI took it as him just having fun with Meltzer as Meltzer almost immediately got a little flustered and started explaining who those guys were (even though HHH was the guy who signed/negotiated with them).
ReplyDeleteCounter with Shield, Wyatts as successes.
ReplyDeleteShield.
ReplyDeleteCesaro.
ReplyDeleteWyatts.
ReplyDeleteBryan
ReplyDeleteYeah but wasn't it called something else when Ambrose was in it?
ReplyDeleteShield and Cesaro were products of FCW, really
ReplyDeleteThey all were there when it turned into NXT.
ReplyDeleteThat's a different era of the program
ReplyDeleteThe difference between FCW and NXT isn't much.
ReplyDeleteFair enough so when they work they aren't really NXT'ers. I get it.
ReplyDeleteYeah it was more fcw. Since the nxt change over its been pretty so so
ReplyDeleteHhh completely oversees nxt
ReplyDeleteAbout 90 miles down Interstate 4
ReplyDeleteWhich is why you are so quick to call it a flop.
ReplyDeleteIf think Big E is a flop because of NXT then you're doing it wrong.
ReplyDeleteHey, don't forget--there's one more potential crown jewel down there awaiting callup, one that could outshine most of his colleagues--if not all. Ole!
ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING YOU SAY IS WRONG! BECAUSE... SHUT UP!
ReplyDeleteThey are fucking him over big time in WWE. They stripped away his personality
ReplyDeleteMojo?
ReplyDeleteThat Slamboree Battlebowl is the absolute drizzling shits!
ReplyDeleteI had completely forgotten about it and considering these were the 8 guys in the thing, who can blame me? DDP,Barbarian,Ice Train,Scott Norton,Dick Slater,Robert Eaton & Public Enemy.
Winner gets a world title shot. Until Nitro when they throw the whole thing out because...WCW!
My Mount Rushmore of pro wrestling:
ReplyDeleteGorgeous George - The first true star of pro wrestling and lead the way for wrestling on television.
Hulk Hogan - Led the WWF to national prominence.
Lou Thesz - great wrestler, top draw. First successful shoot fighter. thesz was a shoote fighter before shoot fighting was cool.
Andre The Giant - the biggest attraction in wrestling. He could write his own ticket and work anywhere he wanted to. So in demand as a wrestler and a larger than life character. Best big man
You're right, Big E, Adam Rose, Rusev, Brad Maddox, aksana, Alicia fox, brodus clay, Curtis Axel, Alicia fox and Eva maria are all doing really awesome
ReplyDeleteFCW was a few rings in a warehouse and NXT is a full blown performance center with all sorts oftechnology and medical personnel and a TV show with its own specials. A totatlly different system
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have no rhyme or reason to which NXT you are talking about. The TV show or the actual brand.
ReplyDeleteWhich is why I don't understand why those guys aren't strictly Main Event/Smackdown guys for now where they can have time and space to display who they are and work the crowds. The way RAW is structured it's just tough for new guys to get over immediately without being stuck in a big program. There's very little room for progression.
ReplyDeleteSeriously though win column from the non-competition era of NXT: Shield, Wyatt's, Cesaro, Lana
ReplyDeleteLoss Column: Big E, Rusev, Rose, Emma
TBD: Paige, Bo Dallas
He's gonna big big star. Definitely agree. But he's a cm punk, Daniel Bryan, type blue chip prospect. But they still have done a great job with him
ReplyDeleteI'd put Big E and Emma in the TBD column. They are talented enough to overcome WWE's bullshit.
ReplyDeleteGood point. Yoshi tatsu is having an awesome career!
ReplyDeleteLolololol ok
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why I even engage in a debate with you. Completely pointless.
ReplyDeletePossibly. I guess Maddox and Axel need to go in the flop category as well.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the internet name generator for NXT style internet handles would produce.....
ReplyDeleteYeah but it's still just a developmental territory.
ReplyDeleteBo Dallas is already 0 for 1 though
ReplyDeleteDefinitely
ReplyDeleteI know it was almost like there was another big blonde dude who came along at the exact same time who stole his angle/heat/woman.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Emma has it though... I don't even really think she is that fuckable so she doesn't have that bullet in the gun.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the criteria for calling someone a flop?
ReplyDeleteBeing neither entertaining nor successful at getting over
ReplyDeleteMaddox is a good promo and Axel is really entertaining with Ryback.
ReplyDeleteVince McMahon, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Steve Austin.
ReplyDeleteHe is a directionless midcarder with no heat. I agree it's not HIS fault, but it shows that program is far from perfect when they bring guys up
ReplyDeleteFox was already a regular before the letters NXT ever appeared on WWE tv. She only worked at NXT for extra practice (and most would say that it's helping). And if you include Brodus and Axel, you're going to have to include Bryan and Barrett.
ReplyDeleteThe 2012 class (Shield and Wyatts) seemed to have hit nothing but home runs. The 2013-14 class (Rose, Rusev, etc) appear to be striking out, but it's too early to say. It is interesting to think about and consider some potential flaws in the system when thinking about the recent call-ups.
You're 0 for 18450 but we don't hold that against you.
ReplyDeleteYou aren't debating him. You just said "You seem to have no rhyme or reason to which NXT you are talking about. The TV show or the actual brand." how is that a debate question?
ReplyDeleteDid anyone say it was perfect? People are just disagreeing with you that the brand is a complete flop.
ReplyDeleteTJ: FIRST A* CARD IN TEW2013~!
ReplyDeletehttp://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae327/StunNeedle/AWESOMEBOOKING_zps1e557007.png
I'm debating whether or not NXT is a flop.
ReplyDelete"Axel is really entertaining with Ryback."
ReplyDeletewut
If you're basing NXT on anything other than how guys work when coming from there, you are doing it wrong.
ReplyDeleteSo basically if you're a super talented blue chip prospect like Jon moxley or Tyler black, or a guy with the right family connections like Wyatt or Reigns nxt is great.
ReplyDeleteBurn
ReplyDeleteRybaxel is a fun team.
ReplyDeleteOK
ReplyDeleteTo be fair Husky Harris was a bubble guy til he stumbled on this character.
ReplyDeleteBeing dead weight on the roster like Curtis Axel and ryback
ReplyDeleteSo is 3MB but they're not going anywhere, either.
ReplyDeleteIt led to a long DDP vs. Guerrero feud which was criminally shorted for promo time.
ReplyDeleteGood point about Axel and ryback below champ
ReplyDeleteNot everyone is a main eventer. People have roles, 3MB does what is asked of them.
ReplyDeleteAnd his dad works for the wwe as an agent
ReplyDeleteWhat does that have to do with anything?
ReplyDeleteNot according to Taryn Terrell
ReplyDeleteNXT isn't the problem though, it's the WWE bringing up NXT guys to the main roster like everyone who watches the WWE follows NXT. NXT is lucky to get half the viewers that Impact gets.
ReplyDeletebayless would never be petty
ReplyDeletebayless is a wise man
an honorable man
a sexy man
To illustrate how futile it is to argue in favor of Rybaxel. I agree that they're entertaining but they're not over or successful.
ReplyDeleteNevermind RAW, he has Archie Stackhouse this Sunday at BoD Payback!
ReplyDeleteWhat was my point about Rybaxel?
ReplyDeleteOh is that what I said. Because I think I can look up four inches on my screen and see its been more of a flop than a success. I never called it a complete flop, but thanks for trying to argue with me about it.
ReplyDeleteYou can file Xavier Woods as a loss too
ReplyDeleteThat would make me racist
ReplyDeleteWorld needs midcarders too. Just because a guy ain't a top guy doesn't make him a flop.
ReplyDeleteYup total bust
ReplyDeleteThis is an incorrect statement.
ReplyDeleteHe was a bit entertaining in TNA
ReplyDeleteI'm not about to debate anything with a shit poster like you
ReplyDeleteAnd accountant
ReplyDeleteEasy enough to answer:
ReplyDeleteHogan, Austin, Rock Flair
Varying arguments could be made for guys like Shawn, Undertaker, Bret, Bruno, etc. but those guys are basically the standard.
Ha.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Hogan more hated than practically the rest of those guys combined?
ReplyDeleteYes you win.
ReplyDeleteSteroids, somas, booze, child support orders.
ReplyDeleteThis discussion certainly escalated quickly
ReplyDeleteveronica and betty gonna help me win
ReplyDeleteDoubt it. In his prime Benoit was basically wrestling Jesus to the IWC.
ReplyDeleteYou would be......
ReplyDeleteBlake Hollister
Its funny how many people jumped to defend not nxt, but the use of the guys when they get to the big stage. The wwe is terrible right now and most of that has to do with bad roster depth and no mid card, yet I guess these nxt guys are setting the world on fire when they get to the wwe.
ReplyDeleteYup. She has a dorky gimmick, stupid (though admittedly catchy) music, stupid move names, is not much better in the ring than any other diva, and isn't worth jerking it to... that is a sure fire recipe for success.
ReplyDeleteAnd died just as quickly, it appears. It's almost like Cult and Jobber had to get some arguing out of their system.
ReplyDeleteI think people just like disagreeing with you... or in Cult's case everyone ever.
ReplyDeleteWell at least I learned that rybaxel is good
ReplyDeleteI agree, even with the fan fare of vignettes there's no guarantee it would work.
ReplyDeleteI really hope those 2 crazy kids end up together. I'm rooting for them!
ReplyDeletethis is what cagematch says for the 1st rumble i went to ('02)
ReplyDeleteTriple H defeats Albert and Al Snow and Billy Gunn and Booker T and Bradshaw and Christian and Chuck and Diamond Dallas Page and Faarooq and Goldust and Jeff Hardy and Kane and Kurt Angle and Lance Storm and Matt Hardy and Maven and Mr. Perfect and Perry Saturn and Rikishi and Rob Van Dam and Scotty 2 Hotty and Steve Austin and Test and The Big Bossman and The Big Show and The Godfather and The Hurricane and The Undertaker and Val Venis (69:22)
Not from me.
ReplyDeletelol @ Fabulous Moolah
ReplyDeleteNo, like internet username handles. Basically picking a bunch of bizarre words that are out of touch with modern society and then adding a random important number next to them, or maybe an xX (Name) Xx
ReplyDeleteWould Hogan make the Mt. Rushmore to both the big promotions?
ReplyDeleteGenerico
ReplyDeleteDamn did you get PWN3D!
ReplyDeleteI don't disagree with everyone.
ReplyDeleteI guess that joke didn't connect. Stupid 3:30 crash
ReplyDeleteI see what you did there
ReplyDeleteI picture you as Jobber's Jimmy Hart.
ReplyDeleteI know. This guy crushed me. I'm just so tired of dealing with him. He seems to just troll my posts and pick some douchey fight with me every week. I can't have a real argument with a poster like that. Why bother. Guy has some personal problem with a stranger over the internet. Enough with the freaks and weirdos always trolling me lol. Theres like 60 other people that post here every day. Maybe he could rotate
ReplyDeleteAlso, indy darlings will always have a big leg up on guys like Big E and Rusev regardless of NXT just because of their built in fanbase and how loyal indy fans are.
ReplyDeleteAdam Rose
ReplyDeleteambrose was never in nxt, he was in fcw
ReplyDeletea lot of guys pulled double duty, but ambrose wasn't one of them
You trolled him, not the other way around.
ReplyDeleteI think you constantly confuse me with someone else. I've disagreed with you twice on here that i can remember.
ReplyDeleteI picture you as fat and worthless
ReplyDeleteThey have a title match at BoD Payback this Sunday. It is natural for that to occur.
ReplyDeleteDo you not read Vince Jordan's posts? Just because he doesn't get Rock/Austin pops doesn't mean he sucks and isn't over because that is totally what you said.
ReplyDeleteI think LANA is the problem with Rusev. She's a cartoon 80's gimmick that leads to him never having heat. He needs to be with Heyman as a killer.
ReplyDeleteIt also helps if you're not a dime a dozen big stiff like Rusev or Big E.
ReplyDeleteI agree she is part of the problem... but because she is far more charismatic and talented than he is.
ReplyDeleteBig E isn't a generic stiff.
ReplyDeleteShe's too damn hot, that's the problem.
ReplyDeleteYeah a smoking hot valet like that is a bad idea. He should have some Russian dude in a suit or heyman. That would have helped
ReplyDeleteYup. She is the star in that pairing. Rusev is the latest generic foreign heel monster
ReplyDeleteNobody cares about shitty-ass, put people to sleep shoot wrestling.
ReplyDeleteTo be clear, I like the show nxt. I just think to act like the wwe is doing a great job launching these guys to the next level is totally false. Hhh is mostly fucking that part up and that's the whole point of the program right?
ReplyDeleteThey need to sound out Putin, not sure he'd sell though.
ReplyDeleteWhy? Because he once tweeted a Simpsons quote? Is that really enough to get people behind him? I haven't seen him do much of note since he came up. His best role was playing Curtis Hughes to zigglers luger/Jericho etc
ReplyDeleteRusev had some of the highest potential on EWR. Can't get them all right.
ReplyDeleteIts like sticking sunny with candido in 95. Who is gonna give a shit about that wrestler
ReplyDeleteGo watch his match with match with Ambrose. He is pretty good for how little experience he has.
ReplyDeleteHis 5 count stuff on NXT was decent.
ReplyDeleteAlright I'll give it a shot. Whats it from?
ReplyDeleteTest and Albert with Trish, they had no chance.
ReplyDeleteI never saw him on nxt but my whole point is the wwe/hhh isn't doing a good job of translating what worked for a guy in nxt to the wwe. And then they just blame the talent
ReplyDeleteThe only guy that ever really worked for is Savage
ReplyDeleteAdam Rose is awesome. The problem is every fan in America who sees him live is too negative to appreciate his talents
ReplyDeleteI would argue yes. The nWo change the business, there's no doubt. It made them more money than they ever have.
ReplyDeleteThere's not many wrestlers that can claim to be have been the biggest face ever and the biggest heel ever.
Hell in a Cell 2013 I think.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Big E had more chance of getting over with his NXT gimmick but they changed him to generic strong guy.
ReplyDeleteEmma needed her NXT gimmick tweaking to get over and they kept it exactly the same.
They are actually putting money into NXT.
ReplyDeleteFuck this thread. "This guys a flop". "No he's not". "yes he is". "No, he's not". "Well, this guy is." "he's not either". "yes he is". "No he's not". "Well, who's a flop then?" "this guy". "no he's not".
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, that is an accurate protrayal.
Rusev is not a bust yet people. Nor is Big E.
ReplyDelete"If everyone that says that Nader can't win would vote for him he WOULD win" - Lazy Ass Hippie Progressives
ReplyDeleteOf every thread!
ReplyDeleteThis joke is as over as Adam Rose
ReplyDeleteJust be glad he isn't dancing
ReplyDeleteHey I tried to build up your thread today when I was watching summerslam
ReplyDeleteI loved Emma in NXT, she's adorable. The main problem is that they stuck her with Santino who is absolute death at this point.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be in a mood today
ReplyDeleteTJ: http://shittheuniversesays.tumblr.com/
ReplyDeletelulz
Maybe they can give Lana Sunny's old outfits...
ReplyDeleteBritish humor never translates.
ReplyDeletethis thread wasn't a flop, needs more time
ReplyDeleteI'll sign off on that. Especially that Road Warrior one she had
ReplyDeleteMmmmm.....
ReplyDeleteOh that's gold
ReplyDeleteThis is a good one. I think Gorgeous George HAS to have the George Washington spot.
ReplyDeleteNot really. Just coming out of the shell a little.
ReplyDeleteBig E made his debut over a year ago.he flopped as the IC champ and looks to be fodder for Rusev. Doesn't look to promising for him.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion raw right now is almost unbearable to watch. A huge reason for that is a terrible mid card and has roster depth. Nxt call ups not getting over/sucking on raw is the biggest reason why I think. Thanks hhh, great job!
ReplyDeleteGood read, HHH handles stuff like that pretty well and you feel more confident for the future of NXT and people like Zayn and Neville and teams like The Ascension because HHH and Vince are actually invested in giving them the best platform possible to trade rosters on.
ReplyDeleteShe could have been fine. But they paired her with Santino. Kiss of death right there.
ReplyDeleteBig E is kwame brown
ReplyDeleteGorgeous George - The "George Washington
ReplyDeleteAndre - Just don't think you can not give him a spot
Those two are easy. The problem is the last two. I'm going to rule out Austin and Rock because their careers were too short. I think you have to give it to Hogan and Flair. Both had heavy influence for over two decades and both were major attractions for different reasons.
That was how they should have brought him up. Why they didn't is beyond me
ReplyDeleteHe has the potential to be more than a generic stiff. He is right now, however, a generic stiff.
ReplyDeleteAnd damn dude, that's why people hate wrestling fans. And I really can't blame them.
ReplyDeleteI'll take a guess:
ReplyDeleteMidnight Express, Road Warriors, The Steiners, and the Dudley Boys.
Without the 50/50 booking of the last few years, people like Henry, Miz, Kingston, Sandow, Rhodes, Swagger, and, dare I say it, Khali, would be providing legitimacy for NXT guys by putting the next generation over. Instead all the debut wins feel meaningless, who cares that Rusev beat up R-Truth? The mid-card should have been booked stronger from the start.
ReplyDeleteMeh to me that is just a perfect synopsis of the internet in general. Go spend 5 minutes on reddit and you will get the same thing.
ReplyDeleteOh that's coming
ReplyDeleteHe went back to that gimmick a couple of weeks ago on NXT against Bo Dallas and instantly seemed a million times more interesting and motivated.
ReplyDeleteHi WWE.
ReplyDeleteiknoerite
ReplyDeleteGenuinely my first thought, dominant authority angle was going to overlap into NXT :S
ReplyDeleteI agree its 99.9999% the terrible booking. Which is why I don't get the praise for hhh on this at all
ReplyDeleteIsn't that still Vince's call though.
ReplyDeleteR-Truth and Xavier Woods will starting dropping hints about a third man.
ReplyDeleteWho's call was it to book Emma like that, or give rose such a lame and lazy debut, or pair Rusev with a hottie, its that and the 50-50 booking.
ReplyDeleteFair enough, I feel that HHH is giving them enough opportunity as talent, ie guaranteeing if you work hard enough you'll make it to TV eventually, but the writers are cutting their legs off with terrible story lines. But yeah HHH may be receiving too much credit.
ReplyDeleteI think it is creative doing a shot job with their debuts too. If they actually were creative, they could make Rose a midcard act people could enjoy but instead they are cranking out garbage like the never ending Cena/ Wyatt storyline
ReplyDelete
