wow..just wow as far as..not using Bryan and or the main event of the show for this special.
ReplyDeleteLesnar: So he'll be there as champ? Or rematch at NoC?
ReplyDeleteSheamus: (insert "Miz makes me sick" joke.)
NBC: Aw, no Silverdome flubs? Too bad. Also, see the beginning of the end of Wyatt.
Rybaxel: And two people gave a fuck. Strangely though, it's the Rhodes. Something about needing a team to job to them a few (dozen) times.
TNA: Mr. Vinson will be a happy man, Your NEXT X-Division titleholder, and one-half of your NEXT tag champs?
The WM and Rybaxel news is everything I hate about modern WWE.
ReplyDeleteThis was mentioned a few days back... and I do agree with the ones who said the main event's not on because Bryan's out, Batista's off, and Orton's not exactly a shining star at the moment.
ReplyDeleteIt sucks, but this is as much a SummerSlam promo as it is a WM Rewind.
I guess. I remember the info coming out before but since the details were vague I didn't put much into it.
ReplyDeleteIf they aired something like this in the fall of 97 they would have left Stone Cold off of it entirely because "he's injured so who gives a shit if he's basically their most over face?"
ReplyDeleteHey, let's keep promoting past stars and part timers and wonder why they are the only ones over!
ReplyDeleteOK but why not use Bryan/HHH, especially since they're continuing the Authority Angle and hyping Stephanie vs. Bryan's wife for SummerSlam?
ReplyDeleteRandom fantasy booking idea I just had: next week or whatever Cesaro saves Swagger from a Rusev beatdown they reform the tag team.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise about Sheamus; he looked a little pale on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThey have been doing that since 2002.
ReplyDeleteIt's why they struggle to create new stars
Because neither guy is on the card at this point.
ReplyDeleteIt would have aired pre-SummerSlam, so Austin would have been well-featured.
ReplyDeleteOwen + Bulldog/Mankind + Vader
Austin/Bret
Taker/Sid
(Setting up Taker/Bret and Austin/Owen at SummerSlam)
I blame Flu Rida.
ReplyDeleteActually... is there a year where something like this would have not featured a "top guy"? Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteHe'll be neutral actually. (lulz WW II)
ReplyDeleteWhy Brock-Taker?
ReplyDeleteMatch sucked and was very boring
Except in that case Rusev and Swagger would be "Wacky Tag Champs Who Despise Each Other".
ReplyDelete(Know your history.)
Maybe because Brock is main eventing Summerslam?
ReplyDeleteOK, but neither is the guys from the promo or Taker. I get having the promo, but still...
ReplyDeletebut, but.... USA!! USA!! USA!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's "famous guys promo", Cena, and Brock. That's all that matters.
ReplyDeleteNo I get that if it was a Mania recap he would have been on it based on the real life timing, but my point is that they shouldn't leave someone off just because they're out with an injury.
ReplyDeleteYep, it's really not that complicated. (or Daniel Bryan is getting buried, did we hop into his time machine and go back to 2013?)
ReplyDeleteMay as well
ReplyDeleteIt was a tad bit historical I think.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing they want to use one of the biggest shock finishes and historic "wins" of the modern era to promote SummerSlam's main event.
ReplyDeleteWho would have guessed that Swagger would be the one most over by Summerslam?
ReplyDeleteYeah, plus some people may have thought Hogan-Andre was boring and slow, but for historical purposes, there's few like it. This is one of them.
ReplyDeleteBut apparently, star ratingz > everything else.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to notice during ANY of Sheamus' "absences". The streak is alive!
ReplyDeleteThere it is.
ReplyDeleteCurtis Axel needs to go away after this split. Dude has shown nothing since getting the initial push this time last year. Ryback at least got over at one point.
ReplyDeleteThe real question is whether they will once again use KATY PERRY as video package music for Taker's WM match.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Ever since Hogan. His new legacy? Bury the young guys without even being on the show?
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm not complaining about this (really don't care much, actually). They're putting the card on Brock-Cena and this makes the most sense, plus the Hogan-Rock-Austin promo is good for historical reasons. Best choices if you're trying to sell SS (and by proxy, network subs).
ReplyDeleteIt's about promoting the active brand not your favorite star who may never wrestle again. I hate it, too, sure.
ReplyDeleteWhy split up Rybaxel? If they're to break the team up, neither guy is likely going anywhere. Especially Axel.
ReplyDeleteor put the most heat on people who don't wrestle #Stephanie
