Tonight on the WWE Network: 8:00 ET brings us Best of RAW. Tonight's episode is from 8/11/97, which features a main event of Mankind vs. Shawn Michaels, the return of Rick Rude and the planting of the seed for the formation of D-X. That will be followed by Best of Smackdown at 9:30 ET. This has the Eddie Guerrero-John Cena parking lot brawl. So if you want to see heel Cena, tune in to this. Also, Vince makes Stephanie vs. Brock Lesnar for the main event.

    He wasn't light in terms of weight. Guy was more jacked than Goldberg out there. I hadn't heard that Missy stuff, but it wouldn't surprise me.

    That is sad. At one point they were talking up Big E, Titus, Ryback, Barrett and Cesaro as future world champs.

    No one else really has the credibility right now to be a future champion. Booking can fix that, but that's a long-term, not a short-term fix.

    Holy shit, I know WWF & ECW had a subtle agreement and did some stuff together in 97, but JR's sat there on an old RAW straight up plugging Hardcore Heaven coming up that sunday on PPV. 97 was certainly a different age

    There's an interesting past vs present match, especially with Jerry Lynn refereeing, as he has quite a history with both of them.

    TNA from 2005-2007 was awesome and a genuine #2 competitor. The X-Division was on fire. They were on their way to making huge stars out of Samoa Joe, Abyss, and Bobby Roode. Aweome tag teams left and right. And they had managed to bring some veterans like Kurt Angle, Christian, the Dudleys, and Sting without going overboard like they did later. Even Jarrett was bearable with his Planet Jarrett stable.

    Oh man this match! Waltman in 05 was on point and this was the bomb. Not forgotten, just needed a refresher. Need to find the DVD I burned of No Surrender almost ten years ago now. Fuck, I am getting old fast.

    Waltman deserved a long run in TNA. When you look at what wastes of space like Ken Andrson got it's just tragic he didn't hang long.

    It makes all the sense in the world to build up this storyline for a year, only to have your biggest star lose at the biggest event. Then chase Savage for the championship, which would mean a string of title matches in which Hogan wouldn't win the title back, only for the payoff to come at a smaller PPV. Sense the sarcasm
