The episode of Legends of Wrestling is the final episode to be uploaded. The RAW episodes are pre- and post-KOTR '95 and include appearances by Techo Team 2000 and the rare WWF appearance by Scotty Riggs as a Luger flag-bearer. The 2002 episode of RAW is the first-ever draft.

Comments

  1. Scotty Riggs looked great in an eye patch. If he were coming up today his look would get him over huge. Pretty good guy. Really down to Earth.

  2. I'm really confused by this "Riggs as Luger fliag bearer" note. I thought the flg bearers for Luger and Bulldog were kids? Like young kids.

I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail

Luger vs. Yokozuna in a KOTR qualifying match on the 6/12/95 episode. Luger's flag-bearer is Scotty Riggs and Yokozuna attacks him during the match, setting up the finish.

  7. I liked Hercules as a babyface. Too bad nobody else did.

Also wasn't the heel turn to Power and Gliory abrupt where one day Hercules just decided to hang out with Roma? At least Roma teased a heel turn for almost a year - although I'm not sure if he ever turned on Powers - or any other wrestler since I think Powers might have high-tailed it to WCW by that point. I know they were building to a Roma heel turn - but then all of a sudden he just was a heel too -- although the attitude was there in a lot of his matches shown on Prime Time at the time. I don't think Hercules had any heel turn prep. One day he was the ex-slave babyface with blue trunks swinging his chain and the next day he was teaming with Roma as the Power. Then I even think he shaved to have some kind of wierd mustache.

Point is -- I missed the real Hercules who cut ***** promos on being the real Hercules from Greek Mythologhy and while mythology is not the Truth - there are elements of the Truth in the corrupt things written by men.

    ReplyDelete
  8. The heel turn was abrupt but Roma and Hercules had been teaming for a few weeks in matches on PrimeTime Wrestling beforehand, so it at least made sense when Hercules came out to back up Roma when he got into it with the Rockers.

  9. I was at that Main Event, which was actually on a Friday. (It was about -10 outside.) I remember they wouldn't air it in Milwaukee live on Friday - they aired it on Saturday - supposedly so fans would go to the show, though it was sold out long in advance, and I'm thinking the real reason the TV was delayed was so the attending fans could see all the backstage stuff (which back then wasn't shown on screens at the arena) the next day. I could be wrong, but I think when the camera followed Hogan behind the curtain and he had his brawl with Savage, it was the first time in a big show that the action spilled backstage, thus inventing the modern wrestling show.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I was really surprised by that too. It was a three hour show with only an hour on the air, and I remember thinking, "Really? We're wasting the last half hour on this?" I would have gone with Demolition defending their titles against the Powers of Pain, which happened later in the night (In fact a short clip of it was shown at Wrestlemania V in the setup package.) Even the Harts versus the Rougeaus (with Brother Love as guest referee) would have been a good one. I do remember they had Warrior defend his title against Valentine to close the show, but it lasted about 1 minute. Maybe had it been on TV they could have gotten a better match out of him.

  11. I have a feeling the international take will be huge. Overseas movie-goers love these big epic films.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I did. It sucked and not because of him. The contestants were all so unlikable.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Mustard is too good for that guy.

    ReplyDelete
  14. No he pretty much disowned the film on it's own merits.

"Moore was quoted as saying that the comic book had been "specifically about things like fascism and anarchy. Those words, 'fascism' and 'anarchy,' occur nowhere in the film. It's been turned into a Bush-era parable by people too timid to set a political satire in their own country.""

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ian McShane is the biggest reason to see Herc. That and the surprisingly good action scenes and a Rock being his usual charming self.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yeah, pretty much with you. I rarely go to a theater anymore. Went for godzilla. Not sure when I will again.

    ReplyDelete
  17. He's also been quoted as saying he has never seen any of the films based on his comics, not does he have any intention of seeing them.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Scotty Riggs shoot interview is top ten of all time

    ReplyDelete
  19. If it's all little kids and then Scotty Riggs/Anton wedged in there as a jobber who bagged for TV time, that is hilarious. Maybe he was the babysitter, charged with watching the kids back stage and making sure they stayed out of the wrestlers' bags.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I hope they film more Legends of Wrestling Roundtables. Those are the best things on the Network.

  26. After the summerslam main event cena should pop up and cut a promo that starts with "Now to no-sell that match and talk about what I want to talk about."

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah, my showing was in the biggest theater and it was only 75% full. Thought for sure it would have been a sellout on a Friday night, but nope.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hercules just isn't a movie that appeals to me, Rock or no Rock.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I used to go to the theater all the time. I was a big movie guy for almost my entire life. A lot changed when I hit 30 two years ago. I sort of slowly lost interest in film and got far more into MMA and sports in general (baseball being my #1, football #2). I still enjoy a good flick at the theater sometimes, but I go maybe once or twice a month now, if that.

Yeah, those movies are pretty much infallible overseas regardless of quality. Transformers 4 is going to fall about $100-$150m short of the previous two movies in the States (that's good!) but the international take will still push it over $1 billion (ooh, that's bad)

    ReplyDelete
  33. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryJuly 26, 2014 at 11:31 AM

According to Box Office Mojo, Hercules had a better-than-expected showing on Friday and should at least get to $28-30m, which is still disappointing for the studios, but it could've been worse. Lucy is also outperforming expectations and its opening day was comparable with Taken 2 and The Bourne Supremacy and outpaced Salt even with an R rating.

  37. Edge Of Tomorrow, Dawn of the Planet Of the Apes and (in limited release) Snowpiercer have set the bar awfully high for summer blockbusters this year. The others have paled in comparison, though I high hopes for Guardians of the Galaxy.

  38. I was a huge Hercules fan, and to this day I feel he was an underrated worker.

  39. Do they usually do network updates on Saturday?

I really wish they would establish a schedule for network updates, make that schedule known and then follow it.

When was the last time ECW or WCCW TV was updated?

  40. I watched this batch of Raws and never saw Anton as a jobber. I saw Jeff Hardy, Brooklyn Brawler, Horrowitz and Mike Bell.

    ReplyDelete
  41. This was around the time Benoit got a WWF tryout too. As barren as the rosters were at this point, I don't understand why both Benoit and Riggs weren't signed to deals and pushed (and Techno Team 2000 was....).

  42. Is that other episode if raw from 2002 the draft episode?

  43. Most of those priests are priests of Satan - they don't know Christ. What does evil priests have to do with the true life giving water of Jesus Chrust? Read the Bible -- evil people were always trying to do things against God -- none of this has changed.

  47. No they are priest. People like anyway else. They just happen to be very sick people. Who deserve all the punishment they get for those horrible acts. It has nothing to do with a fictional Satan.

That's one of the things that's surprising about the box office being down this year, it's been a sneaky-good summer in terms of quality. Edge of Tomorrow was fantastic.

  51. I don't plan on seeing the movie at all. Well, I didn't, until I saw McShane in the 2nd trailer. I'll rent it, or wait til it shows up on Netflix.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I dunno about Hurt, but McShane has done his share of paycheck movies. I suspect he doesn't care that much about who the younger male lead happens to be.

    ReplyDelete
  53. The commercials didn't strike me as all that interesting, though I was struck by how much the man looks like a fucking action figure these days. Kind of surprised they didn't cast decent contestants.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Blah Blah Blah.

You should not care about the finical side of it. You don't have shares it's irrelevant. Simply decide if you like the film/films and leave it at that.

  55. Fuck the turtles.

I find myself getting away from movies in favor of TV shows via Netflix and Hulu. Not sure why. I've also never been that big into sports, though I was a HUGE NFL fan for a good chunk of my life. Not so much anymore.

  57. We all deserve the punishment of death because of the sin of Adam. And you are half right, the evil of our own flesh makes us accountable. Adam did not have to stand by and allow Eve to listen to Satan. He did not act as a man as he was designed by God. No sin is different. Murder is just as evil as adultery any type of non-martial sex. It is sick and prevented, but as it says in Romans 1 - this wickedness is in this world because we denied God - when we don't deny God -- then we are saved by His grace through the blood of Jesus Christ - who is God in the flesh - who came in the form of sinful man without sin to atone for the sin of the world. All sin is deplorable in the eyes of God: sodomy of any kind.

    Blah Blah Blah.

    ReplyDelete
  63. So you don't like gay people? Also everyone who isn't christian should die? People wonder why religion is no longer relevant.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Respectfully, that is not what I'm saying. You speak in secular terms where you think this is our only life. You reject any form of spiritual world or resurrection of the dead. I will stick to the Bible that any sinner that Trusts in Christ will never die. I am a sinner deserving of eternal death. But I am saved and anybody who calls on the Holy Spirit can live forever with Jesus Christ in Heaven. But as Jesus said in John 3 - because you are not born again, you do not understand. As Christ said to the Nicodemus - if you don't understand the earthly things I tell you - how will you ever understand heavenly things. I am a real person that loves the real Jesus. I just know this world is a vapor and only by having my heart right with Christ can I experience the resurrection of the dead. The Bible says love your neighbor as yourselves -- I love every human being. Seek out God's Holy Spirit and ask Him to allow His Spirit to work through you. If you reject God's free gift - that is your choice. A free choice - but history as proven Christ did exist and He was the Son of God. I hate no one and I pray -- as a former skeptic -- that every atheist comes to Christ - so we can be in Heaven together worshipping Him forever.

    ReplyDelete
  65. And that was the worst baserunning in the history of the game!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I see. Well at least you won't be angry once you die and enter the void. I have nothing against people who have religious beliefs. I do have a problem with people who push it on others. Or try to justify their actions with belief.

Also when did history prove that jesus was the son of god?
