Tonight, on the WWE Network, at 8:00 ET it's Main Event live, followed by a new episode of Monday Night War at 9:00 and a repeat Countdown episode at 10:00.
Some key MLB games tonight: Tampa Bay @ Baltimore, Oakland @ Houston, Miami @ LA Angels, NY Yankees @ Detroit, Washington @ Philadelphia, St. Louis @ Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee @ San Diego.
The Simpsons marathon continues on FXX. I believe it's up to season 12 at this point.
There's money on the table here tonight, but it looks like e-book money, so it's not real currency.

Simpsons: This seems to be about where I get out watching them new. Most of the descriptions look foreign to me
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy how there is this huge gap in memory just based on the episode titles. Seasons 3 through 8, I can recall almost every episode based on the title. Beginning with season 9, it gets spotty. I guess that's where the gap in quality also starts. It didn't take very long to drop.
ReplyDeleteI'm the definition of casual Simpson's fan. A couple of years ago, my mom and I made it a habit to watch it together. Weird.
ReplyDeleteThis perfectly sums up the Bella segment.

Evening.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see it but ya'll making me feel like I missed some epic suckage.
ReplyDeleteode lay! You speak Spanish right?
ReplyDeletePortuguese, mofo.
ReplyDeletePortuguese.
ReplyDeleteI should have known that. I watched "City of God" 10 years ago.
ReplyDeleteyou ever seen "city of God'?
ReplyDeleteNot the best Brazilian movie ever made.
ReplyDeleteI was feeling all cultured and stuff after I watched. I wish I knew what they were saying though.
ReplyDeletewhat's the best?
ReplyDeleteCity of God is a masterpiece.
ReplyDeleteupvote for you. I still have that dvd all these years later. I got it from Walmart. I'm shocked they even had it.
ReplyDeleteElite Squad 1 and 2.
ReplyDeleteNarradores de Javé.
"Your subscription to WWE Network has expired. To restart your subscription, please choose from one of the options below."
ReplyDeleteYet I'm still able to use the WWE Network. LOL
It will be gone by tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteJust saw a report on facebook that both Ryback and RVD are leaving next week. Can't help but laugh over RVD going over Cesaro on the Summerslam preshow.
ReplyDeleteIt's been working all day. Some guy on WrestleZone said his account expired in February and still works.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of guys are going to start leaving WWE soon. Whether it be to GFW, ROH, NJPW, TNA, or finding work elsewhere. Punk leaving set a new precedent.
ReplyDeleteI'm stating to think that RVD saying he's going to leave and then keeps staying is how WWE is trying to get back at Rey.
ReplyDeleteEvening.
ReplyDeleteIf that's on Netflix I'll check em out.
ReplyDeleteElite Squad definetely will be.
ReplyDeleteI think I might buy Night of Champions online on paypal, then close the paypal account afterwards.
ReplyDeleteYes, the segment was that bad, and the worst part was how Nikki was actually decent.
ReplyDeleteWhy aren't you reordering!
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think that?
ReplyDeleteWhy is Maggle Cole working the C show?
ReplyDeleteAlso Hulu Raw was awful, so I can imagine the USA version was unbearable.
He hates America.
ReplyDeleteIt just dragged.
ReplyDeleteRVD over Seth Rollins by count out? They fuckin' serious?
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't nearly as bad as negative nancies on here keep saying
ReplyDeleteLast two episodes from Season 2 of arrow watched tonite!
ReplyDeleteI only caught a couple of segments of the show last night. Remember when JBL and Lawler were sparring about Reigns throwing a cinder block and Cole was just waiting for them to shut up so he could pimp the network? That kind of sums up why I would just rather go to bed.
ReplyDeleteLongest 90 minutes of my life.
ReplyDeleteRough. I'm leaning towards a few week break til Ambrose is back
ReplyDeleteI always thought those two would have been a good team - matching tights, differing styles, backstage vignettes of RVD telling the Big Guy to "chill out man".....could have been okay for mid-card tags.
ReplyDeleteMY MAN. Did you figure out which episode I was talking about that was excellent?
ReplyDeleteHe never answers when I ask. He must.
ReplyDeleteThat's what she said!
ReplyDeleteI should know this but which one is Nikki? I only know them by their boob size.
ReplyDeleteEven Jerry was getting tired of saying 9.99.
ReplyDeleteNew! Nitro! Next week! We promise! Please don't cancel! PLEEEEEEAAAASSE!
ReplyDeleteWell, no lol. Was it the one when Slade went crazy in the Island?
ReplyDeleteShe's the one with the big ones.
ReplyDeleteI answered it yesterday when someone asked:
ReplyDeleteI've seen 98% of the PPV's they have on there in the library, the SNME's are available on Youtube, I've seen a bunch of the Clashes, the new documentaries they are adding have already been released on DVD or have little to no interest from me, the live PPVs have had bad quality live minus 1-2 of them, they have put in little to no effort in putting up any older content like Prime Time, NWA/WCW Saturday Night, Nitro, Thunder, heck even the older RAWs are going up very slowly.
He recently transfered from Al Qaeda to ISIS
ReplyDeleteIt involved a big twist towards the end involving Moira...
ReplyDeleteJust a hunch.
ReplyDeleteI've been in some lectures around these two days about the Brazilian Dictatorship, it's just sad how people suffered.
ReplyDeleteI think they bill $59.94 altogether now to avoid people from doing that again. That's what it read when I signed up last week.
ReplyDeleteAJPW defection- the WWE version?
ReplyDeleteSo do you still get a free t-shirt if you sign up to the WWE network?
ReplyDeleteIs it getting better now or what?
ReplyDeleteDid that actually happen? OY VEY.
ReplyDeleteWhen you have a chance to keep a part time wrestler, full time pot head above half your roster, you HAVE to do it
ReplyDeleteWouldn't surprise me at all.
ReplyDeleteAh okay, yes that was awesome. I think the second season started off slower but I like the later episodes of this season better than season 1
ReplyDeleteIs AJPW the worst promotion in Japan?
ReplyDeleteNo, they only had that for a week in July. WWE needs to try harder.
ReplyDeleteAdam Rose vs. Curtis Axel....wow.
ReplyDeleteKinda, the State attacks any type of social movement. It's a strange thing I can only explain face to face. The elites still hold a lot of power.
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly how I felt. I like how Slade has been portrayed as totally unstoppable and Oliver just gets more and more desperate for ways to stop him.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone ever seen Heyman's wife?
ReplyDeleteAJPW was the biggest of the 90's but when downhill because Misawa convinced over half of the roster to leave. He then made NOAH with those guys.
ReplyDeleteHeyman has.
ReplyDeleteIt's way more interesting than finding a name on a list and crossing it off.
ReplyDeleteThere is a brief picture of her in the documentary, but that's it
ReplyDeleteHot?
ReplyDeleteUgly?
I didn't see her. Scale 1-10?
ReplyDeleteThey just need to keep looking back at history to make sure nothing bad happens.
ReplyDeleteThat's how you should book Deathstroke. He has a clean win against Batman in the comics.
ReplyDelete5. Typical mom/housewfie. Nothing worth looking at but wouldn't make you kill yourself just to expunge the image from your brain.
ReplyDeleteTypical mom/housewfie. Nothing worth looking at but wouldn't make you kill yourself just to expunge the image from your brain.
ReplyDeletePossibly hot in her day? I could see Heyman talking hot girls to fuck him.
ReplyDeleteYeah. That was fine for a season but wouldv'e worn thin quickly. Tommy got a raw deal though.
ReplyDeleteWatches his best friend bang his just recent ex and then dies.
ReplyDeleteIt was just a picture of a picture and only there for a second so I couldn't really say. I agree with your assessment though... anyone that is that good of a con man is probably swimming in cunt... he is like a real life version of Aaron Eckhart's character in Thank You For Smoking
ReplyDeleteThere's 3 options. $9.99/month, $59.94 at once, or $12.99 month-to-month.
ReplyDeleteThe segment itself wasn't that bad, it's that you need some level of talent to play the over-the-top heel lines and crying babyface, which they glaringly lack.
ReplyDeleteEveryone fucked him over... his dad, Laurel, Oliver, Thea... and he was nice to everyone... then died just because Laurel was too fucking stupid to do what she was told.
ReplyDeleteI just typed it into Google Images, and the first pic to come up was Dixie Carter.
ReplyDeleteNo f'ing way Heyman would ever get screwed by Katie Holmes. Killed that movie for me.
ReplyDeleteHow much better does WWE get once Vince fully retires?
ReplyDeleteI imagine Paul's wife as the woman Frank Zappa sang about in "Jewish Princess"...
ReplyDeleteI killed that movie for you... or Eckhart's character fucking Holmes did?
ReplyDeleteI'm in episode 6 of arrow, does Laurel gets any worse?
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it was. That information has removed my desire to see it now
ReplyDeleteSteph assumes day-to-day control, so...
ReplyDelete50/50 chance of getting better.
ReplyDeleteFunny that Thea and Tommy almost had a Luke and Lea moment.
ReplyDeleteLaurel gets to be insufferable by the end of season 2
ReplyDeleteIf HHH takes the reigns, much better.
ReplyDeleteIf Steph takes them, much worse.
Wayyyyy worse.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to check my bank account now and see how they're charging me, aren't I? I'm going to end up pissed. I can feel it.
ReplyDeleteDoes Cole work like 90 hour work weeks?
ReplyDeleteRight? I always wondered if the writers added that in at the last moment or not
ReplyDeleteDoes Diggle gets more screen time?
ReplyDeleteI really think Steph/HHH sell. Probably to some Time Warner like conglomerate that eventually shuts it down.
ReplyDeleteDammit Oliver, go after Felicity.
ReplyDeleteSo you think the "this business" Tough Enough speech was a load of crap?
ReplyDeleteBad choices of words. Eckhart being stupid enough to talk to Holmes' character (even though he wins in the end) just makes me so angry. Yuppie Mephistopheles (or Heyman) would not be that stupid.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't their baby and any offer they get would just be too much to turn down.
ReplyDeleteI doubt HHH sells it, but wrestling is no longer a mainstream thing. Maybe this is the final years of Professional wrestling.
ReplyDeleteI'd say 6 regular hours, 9 if he has a PPV that week.
ReplyDeleteWon't spoil anything for you.
ReplyDeleteHMMMMM.
ReplyDeleteBefore we see history repeat itself.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if wrestling would raise back up from the ashes. Indy wrestling is about dead and I'm not sure if the territories can be resurrected.
ReplyDeleteI think Pro Wrestling will always have a home on TV. WWE and TNA combine for like 10 million+ viewers each week.
ReplyDeleteLaurel spent most of the second season being too fucking stupid about everything, though.
ReplyDeleteI think Jarrett is trying to copy the old NWA style with GFW.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely need to rewatch S2. So torturous waiting week to week for episodes.
ReplyDeleteI may be a idiot but because of this, I think CM Punk was a guy that could've made wrestling mainstream again. He has look that appeals more to casuals.
ReplyDeleteIt still years for the NWA to build up a base and that was without all the entertainment competition that exists now. I hope it succeeds but I'm not holding my breath.
ReplyDeleteIt better not die, I'm writing characters into a story that are hardcore psychotic wrestling fans, the jokes would then have no meaning.
ReplyDeleteAnybody watching "City Slam" on ESPN2? The host/announcer is HORRIBLE.
ReplyDeleteAh yes I agree with that. I thought it was poor writing anyway... no way someone as experienced at lying and spinning would share that much with a reporter with her reputation just because she is kinda pretty.
ReplyDeleteGFW has the benefit of the internet and social media that the NWA never had.
ReplyDeleteIn 2011 it was right there for the taking. They just weren't sold on him. I'd love to hear the shoot on everything that went down.
ReplyDeleteGood, he's so far my favorite character.
ReplyDeleteNo, but I have watched Slam City, which could be equally as bad.
ReplyDeleteIt was the perfect time to give the ROCKET PUSH.
ReplyDeleteWar Games will make a comeback when he does.
ReplyDeleteWhy do I think they are seriously building towards Hogan vs. Cena?
ReplyDeleteYou'd be amazed at what hot reporters get away with...
ReplyDeleteinternet and social media is like spitting in the wind. It all just comes off as spam.
ReplyDeleteI have a theory that Cole is in a great amount of pain from being tortured through the headset and having to shill so much for years on end. He has been trying to send messages to us to save him from this torture through a complicated series of blinks while on camera.
ReplyDeleteNWA refuses to catch up to the present. Guys like Pearce, Cabana and others say this.
ReplyDeleteAre the voices on Slam City done by the actual wrestlers?
ReplyDeleteThis. Yet another thing that i hate about the archaic way TV is delivered to us. Netflix knows how to do it by putting out a whole season at one time.
ReplyDelete???? I'm talking about GFW becoming a present day 80's style NWA
ReplyDelete:laughs:
ReplyDeleteNot in the slightest, and it shows.
Part of me thinks that why they replaced Katie Holmes in The Dark Knight: I would've been twitching whenever their two characters interacted.
ReplyDeleteI'm saying that GFW is investing on something NWA never did. That gives them something.
ReplyDeleteThe real NWA, not the pretend NWA.
ReplyDeleteBecause WWE would think that's a match everyone wants to see, they have trained you well.
ReplyDeleteis that the streetball thing?
ReplyDeleteNo fucking way they sell. This is the only business Stephanie McMahon knows.
ReplyDeleteI suppose I can see that
ReplyDeleteYeah, a multi-event dunk contest for streetball dudes. They have a freestyle competition, tandem dunks, a vertical bar...
ReplyDeleteWell NWA tried with NJPW for a little bit and that didn't work. They had a TV deal the past couple years but the show sucked.
ReplyDeleteFor GFW to succeed, Jarrett needs to go to the doorsteps of Jim Ross and others and beg and plead him to come scout talent and broadcast as well as book for him.
Decent show for kids, at least?
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't have that personal investment like Vince, and if they hit a downturn I really don't see her toughing it out. I'm talking 1995 downturn. A good offer comes and she's gone.
ReplyDeleteBrad Garrett voiced Hogan on Rock N Wrestling, maybe he's doing Cena now? Not like he has a full dance card...
ReplyDeleteAnd please Jeff, if you wanna wrestle, fine. But don't make yourself the big deal of GFW.
ReplyDeleteThat the one with Highriser? Is this the one from 10 years ago?
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling AJ Styles will be the first GFW Champion. perhaps manged by Jeff Jarrett as well. I'd rather just see all authority figures not on TV at all except for a contract signing or something at the "headquarters" like they used to do with Jack Tunney.
ReplyDeleteYep. They brought it back. They've had some NBA guys show up to guest judge. Terrence Ross is on this episode.
ReplyDeleteWOW. The host just said, "I'm hyped, the trees are hyped, the ocean is hyped..."
Oh yeah, kids would enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteAnd no NWO rehash angle.
ReplyDeleteIt sounded like theRock's voice in the one with him and Mark Henry. If it wasn't Rock, it was a great impersonation. The rest of the voices sound nothing like the actual wrestlers.
ReplyDeleteVince was fine in early 98 cause he didn't exert his authority, but they can't help themselves, so I'm with you. Get them off tv.
ReplyDeleteOr it could be because you saw this....
ReplyDeletehttp://botchedspot.com/comic/hulks-big-wish/
LOL a stable trying to take over GFW when GFW has only been around a week
ReplyDeleteMy seven year old likes them.
ReplyDeletehahaha. I'm such a hoops junkie that I'll end up watching it one night at 4am when I can't sleep.
ReplyDeleteYou know he can't make that promise.
ReplyDeleteFelicity is easily one of the best characters on the show. My girlfriend is all about her hooking up with Ollie.
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't have the personal investment? SHANE doesn't have the personal investment like VInce. You why I think that? He left. Steph has been there this whole time.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind at all if ESPN brought back the AND1 mixtape tour show, or something like it.
ReplyDeleteShe still a minor in the episodes I'm watching.
ReplyDeleteI again direct you to some pictures on my FB page you've commented on. Worked every time.
ReplyDeleteShe gets a lot more screen time as S1 and S2 progresses.
ReplyDeleteWhy are there 2 versions of "Rise of the NWO" under Monday Night Wars?
ReplyDeleteAnybody know what was supposed to be the storyline progression of Vince's limo being blown up? This was the storyline that got dropped immediately because of Benoit, right?
ReplyDeleteHe faked his death to find a traitor in the family or some such.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan. She is to quirky and nice and has that New Girl vibe... but this is me we're talking about
ReplyDeleteSo we owe Benoit?
ReplyDeleteA better question is who would want to buy it?
ReplyDeleteKing Jong Ul?
ReplyDeleteHi Curry.
Wish I did, it at least gave us smiling Paul London.
ReplyDeleteNew Girl as in the Fox TV show? I don't get that vibe at all.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, it did slightly make the summer months less interesting.
ReplyDeleteWell, kind of, I guess.
ReplyDeleteWas the traitor his illegitimate son and RAW Anonymous GM Hornswoggle?
ReplyDeleteHi I don't remember what your IRL last name is. Dick. And it's Kim Jong, not King Jong.
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, Steph and HHH can't sell the WWE, because there's no one out there that has that kind of cash, outside of maybe Mark Cuban.
Maybe? I might be confusing my timelines of stupid McMahon stories.
ReplyDeleteWould have made sense in all those story lines for Kennedy to be involved.
ReplyDeleteYeah and I do. I prefer women to have an edge. A preference that has worked remarkably well for me.
ReplyDeleteWassup BoD Universe? Your reigning BoD Writer's Champion, 28 weeks running, is here.
ReplyDeleteJust bought Madden for the Xbox One. It's the first Madden I've bought since '09. Why does every game you play have to be installed now? It's been installing for 30 minutes now.
ReplyDeleteI forgot about that name thing.
ReplyDeleteI hate that. Installing Journey for PS3 is what gave my console the yellow light of death.
ReplyDeleteIn the old days you just had to put a CD or Tape, done.
ReplyDeleteDon't you see, it was obviously Paul London, he was the only one smiling.
ReplyDeleteSo does everyone else.
ReplyDeleteI liked when it gave you the choice. You could decide to install or not. Now you actually cannot play until the game installs.
ReplyDeleteCount the days to produce a more impressive number
ReplyDeleteThat was perfect. Installing is just such a waste of time and HD space.
ReplyDelete196 days. HEY! Much better!
ReplyDelete2 of my 3 careers revolved around spin I know what I am doing
ReplyDeleteAll you need is a Strange A Meter graphic.
ReplyDeleteMuch like myself, who for the last 1,000 days have been the editor of the Queens Tribune.
ReplyDeleteGTAV took like an hour.
ReplyDeleteA take it by "tape" you mean cartridge, video games on a cassette tape was way before my time even.
So watching episode of Pat the NES Punk's Flea Market Madness has inspired me to start collecting either SNES, N64, or Dreamcast games. I am still deciding on which one. I've owned each on separate occasions, but don't own any currently. Which should I try and collect? I'm leaning towards SNES.
ReplyDeleteIt was supposed to lead to HHH v Ken Kennedy, which seemed like a good idea to someone.
ReplyDelete
