Depending on your time zone I might already be 40 by the time you read this, so BOO for that.
Anyway, I’m trying to put together a fund to buy a Wii U for my birthday, so if you’d like to donate I have a button below. Not exactly world-changing, I know, but DAMMIT I want to play Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World.
Back to the blog!
Just like Hulk Hogan in WCW, you're just hitting your prime >_>
ReplyDeleteNothing says 40 like a Wii U and Mario Kart! And I mean that with a ton of affection.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Leader of the Blogosphere.
Happy birthday! 40 is the new 39.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Scott. Thanks for the rants. You've helped me discover a lot of cool matches that I probably would have been too lazy to look for on my own.
ReplyDeleteWell I was going to donate to a fund to cure childhood cancer....
ReplyDeleteI remember reading your rants when you were in your early 20s
ReplyDeleteCOME AT SCOTT! HE'S A MAN! HE'S 40!!
ReplyDeleteVictory Road 2011? Me too.
ReplyDeleteIt was good, I wouldn't call it great. It was his best match in TNA.
ReplyDeletei liked the one with jeff hardy a couple years back
ReplyDeleteVictory Road, a five star classic.
ReplyDeleteBret should have retired after the Owen tribute.
ReplyDeleteHe really didn't need to be associated with all that Russo shit.
It was so much fun to boo him.
ReplyDeleteMontreal really broke is wrestling spirit. Owen's death was the nail in the coffin.
ReplyDeleteAdios, muchachos. I got me a lady and everything.
ReplyDelete*dims the lights, turns on the boom-chick-a-wow-wow music, turns the computer off*
It would've been worse if they actually wrestled a match. Yes, even if Hardy was sober.
ReplyDeleteNight Strange.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Or at least, after Montreal he stopped really caring and WCW was the last place for a guy like that.
ReplyDeleteWCW WAS the place for people who stopped caring.
ReplyDeleteDOIN IT AND DOIN IT AND DOIN IT WELL
ReplyDeleteHogan can't even job in a monster truck match.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteWow, that makes me feel old... I started reading your stuff when you were in your mid-20s
No way I would allow myself to lose the VERY FIRST monster truck match if I'm in Hogan's position either. You take that W, brother.
ReplyDeleteDDP on Nitro?
ReplyDeleteI forgot Manny was in tow, I saw like six squad-car SUVs come up the street towards AT&T this afternoon and was like WHAT THE FUCK?
ReplyDeleteThen he commits a little manslaugter.
ReplyDeleteBest WCW show ever.
I hated Sting in TNA. He clogged up the main event spots and constantly had shitty matches.
ReplyDeleteYep, since day one.
ReplyDeleteTell that to Booker T, Norman Smiley and Mike Sanders.
ReplyDeleteYeah, and it was honestly his only great match since.......1995-96?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to my favorite author.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck in your donation effort. You deserve it.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday. Good luck with getting the Wii U.
ReplyDeleteHappy Bday
ReplyDeleteA donation has been made in your name to the "Human fund."
you should give him the link to that bc as a canadian and a non sports fan im sure that flew over his head, but bravo!
ReplyDeleteMazel Tov!
ReplyDeleteYou sir, win 1000 internets
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Scott! Welcome to middle-agedom. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it sucks. Kinda like WCW circa 1991 ;)
ReplyDeleteFAT!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Scott! Do a birthday rant!
ReplyDelete.

I SAID DO IT!
I legit had no idea you were 40. Especially with a kid. That's a huge compliment by the way.
ReplyDeleteTHAT AIN'T TRUE!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who lives 50 miles from Stillwater and Mike Gundy, I just have to say he's awesome.
I am rapidly running out of patience with the Network for not adding classic NWA/JCP shows yet. World Championship Wrestling on TBS and Worldwide were staples on the 24/7 service so there is no reason for them not to be added.
ReplyDeleteAnd you sir, are welcomed to the BoD!
ReplyDeleteYou're only 2 years younger than the Great Khali.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY
Happy Birthday Scott!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Scott...I'll be joining you in the big 40 club in 4 years myself. Have a good one, bro
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Scott!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for all the great hilarious writing you've given us over the years.
Penblwydd hapus!
ReplyDeleteI have no gifts to give, except this:

ABeyAnce1 should spend 1$ (Canadian) for every post he made.
ReplyDeleteHave a good one Scott. You're very lucky to have a family that's cool with you playing video games at 40. I'm nearly 30 and have to contend with my girl's threats to smash my PS4 every day
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Scott! Maybe if you started a kickstarter for money for ingredients to make potato salad then you could own half of Nintendo.
ReplyDeletehappy birthday scott. I don't usually post that often but I do read the site. Thanks for all the years reviewing wrestling.
ReplyDeleteI love my wii u. I don't have mario 3d world but I got windwaker and mario bros. I can't wait till Smash bros comes out soon.
I will dump boiling hot water over my head then challenge you all to donate $100 within 24 hours.
ReplyDeleteim from nj, nowhere near stillwater ok but I love Mike Gundy and it all started with this epic rant. I remember it well my sr yr of college at wvu rolling on the floor laughing my ass off!
ReplyDeletehey doesnt google pay you for us ratting around on your addicting website :). That could theoretically help you achieve your goal of wii u?
ReplyDeleteI have been following you since you were a young man. And now you are not that.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday.
Now I want to know how much he's bringing in from Google alone.
ReplyDelete:slow clap:
ReplyDeleteI wish I had that kind of money.
Happy Birthday Scott!
ReplyDeleteWell, don't hurt yourself now.
ReplyDeleteAnd welcome to the BoD as well.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday... and holy shit Mario Kart is up to 8?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteIf you gotta beg you probably don't need it. That said happy bday
ReplyDeleteYou're missing out

ReplyDeleteI don't typically remember or care about the pseudo-inspirational BS posts I see on facebook, but i saw one this morning that is appropriate:
ReplyDeleteDo not regret getting older, as it is a privilege denied to many.
Happy birthday.
inb4 you sent 50 cents
ReplyDeleteWhen you get a Wii U, buy Shovel Knight and Duck Tales.
ReplyDeleteTerry Taylor was a good worker who didn't have the charisma to reach the main event level. He was a reliable midcard face/heel but he was someone who should have never went to the WWF. He had neither the size, the charisma, nor the persona to make a real impact there. Some people were just ill-fitted for some territories.
