Regarding Sting

If they do bring Sting into the WWE, even if it's for a single one time match, how do they do it?

The simplest way would be to just do a tag team match with Sting/Bryan Danials vs Flair/HHH as they can play on the history between Flair and Sting, hide Sting's ring rust via a tag match scenario, and moreso, have his arrival mean something big as far as Bryan thinking outside the box and purposely recruiting Sting as a partner to go against Flair and HHH as far as far as hitting them with a mystery partner who HHH can not bully or threaten or extort (and who would know Flair like an open book to counter).

Jesse Baker

That's the simplest way?

I was thinking more that they announce him for the Hall of Fame and someone (let's just say...Moe?) gets all upset that he's never even had a WWE match before, and challenges him to said match at the Wrestlemania.

Comments

  1. Flair will never ever compete in a WWE match again. He has no medical clearance to do so.

Another idea would have him compete against a younger WWE talent such as a Rollins who feels like Sting is stealing the spotlight or hell, even re-activate Orton's Legend Killer gimmick.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I can't imagine a better booked scenario than the HoF/Wrestleman plan, which means WWE will do something completely different.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Very VERY disappointed by the lack of crazy ideas in this e-mail.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hey, that was my scenario! Great minds think alike.

I'd say Triple H would be a good candidate for the last match. He comes out and tells Sting that the HOF induction is "strictly business" since Sting never competed in "the big leagues." Hunter can be one of the best condescending assholes on the microphone, so he'd be perfect for it. If not Hunter, then Orton is another good choice.

Yeah, and Flair is never wrestling in WWE again. Hopefully he never wrestles ANYWHERE ever again. Not only did the company give him a wonderful send off, it's even less likely after the Jerry Lawler heart attack. I don't think we'll ever see a 60+ year old wrestle in WWE again.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Mo vs. Sting is the match we've been waiting for at least 20 years - as Gorilla would say, "it could main event anywhere in the world"

    ReplyDelete
  6. I think Flair wrestling would be absolutely disturbing given his current physical condition. It'd be a Randy the Ram situation.

    ReplyDelete
  7. He'll job to Michelle McCool (think about it...)

    ReplyDelete
  8. Mo? So you read Viscera's wife's latest rant?

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'd be down for a long term program if was gonna stick around for like a full year.

Takes young superstar under his wing and trains up through the ranks until he becomes a title contender and wins the title. You then have the protege turn on Sting after the win and Sting is lured out for one match for the title to try and get his revenge.

Done right it could easily be a year long arc with a hell of a lot of good stuff in there

    ReplyDelete
  10. Just saw the latest pic of Michelle McCool with the Undertaker and she's even skinner than before.

    ReplyDelete
  11. ...then Bryan turns on Sting, hitting him w/ the flying knee while he has Triple H in the Scorpion Deathlock

Who the fuck is Bryan Danials?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Well pushing this unproven Bryan Danials fellow to the main event so quickly is kinda out there.

    ReplyDelete
  14. The next Rocky Melvin, I'm sure.

    ReplyDelete
  15. He should be inducted into the Hall of Fame, then job to Bray Wyatt the next night at Mania, then Bray can steal his Hall of Fame award (is there a physical award?) and destroy it as it represents 'false idols'

    ReplyDelete
  16. I don't get the frenzy over whether or not Sting wrestles. The guy is in his mid 50s. And why is everyone all over the UT/Sting match? They're basically both career faces with no history, I just don't see the big deal. I get that it's something different from what everyone thinks is a rather stale product, but is a close to 60 year old guy the answer?

    ReplyDelete
  17. He's that guy with the thing.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Looks like Jesse's on his meds again. Good for him.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 100% agree with this. I just seirously doubt that anybody, other than a few posters here, give any kind of fuck about Sting.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think we're past that for, actually. Jesus, that'd be ugly.

    ReplyDelete
  21. After 10 years when he was eating up the last of the big WCW stars, the main course has finally arrived for the Game!

    ReplyDelete
  22. "Moe's the leader."

    ReplyDelete
  23. Winner gets HOF induction...Mo is fighting on behalf of Mrs. Frazier, er, Viscera. In fact let's bring Russo in to book it, and in a shocking SWERVE, Mrs. F low blows Mo and allows Sting to win, then she does a shoot about how he kept all of Vis' money, because all wrestling fans automatically know all the internet stories.

    ReplyDelete
  24. He's not just a river in Egypt, Ill tell you that.

    ReplyDelete
  25. If they did this then Bryan Danials would have to turn on Sting because... well that's what Sting's partners do.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Eh. If "Danials" doesn't turn on Sting than no buys.

    ReplyDelete
  27. you mean different wrestlers get different reactions from fans????? Color me shocked. I'm sure if the same match at Summerslam happened between Lesnar and Santino it would garner a third reaction different from Bryan or Cena. What an odd post.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think that's underplaying Sting's drawing power just a bit. Would Sting/Taker be bigger than Rock/Cena? Well no but to say no one cares outside of a few smarks discredits him too much. If it were a double retirement match I could see fan interest there.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Rules in wrestling have always been more like guidelines and they have basically done away with all the rules now.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I've heard them referred to as part of the new generation of "Bro country."

    ReplyDelete
  31. This brilliant mastermind authority put doofus Kane and Orton as their plan A before the monster UFC champion who ended the Undertaker's streak and the up and comer who beat them repeatedly? Swiss cheese plot here.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Did Jesse Baker ever give us his thoughts on the ending to Superior Spider-Man? I felt the same he did about Slott at times but take as a whole that was a great story. Last issue was a bit flat.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think they feel like they don't owe us real finishes since the PPVs don't cost big bucks anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Just saying... Sheamus/Cesaro was match of the night. Take THAT snickering locker room!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Heath Slater finally gets his Wrestlemania moment!

    ReplyDelete
  36. This was like 0.7/10 on the Baker scale.

    ReplyDelete
  37. That's the best scenario for Sting that I've seen.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm guessing his medication finally got upped.

  41. Ask him about Bendis's Daredevil sometime. I still can't belive Insid Pulse used to let him review comics.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Jericho and Orton could give you *** in their sleep... which they basically did.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The simplest way:

    Sting: "Hey, you. Let's fight."
    Opponent: "Them's fightin' words."

    ReplyDelete
  44. No, the simplest way is for Michael Cole to repeatedly remind us that the ICON Sting has come to the LONGEST-RUNNING EPISODIC TV SHOW IN HISTORY, WWE RAW

    Then Cena wins.

  45. It depends on if you watch it for meaningful moments or just to watch some in-ring wrestling action. If it's the latter, I don't think it's hard to recommend a show with several ***+ matches.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thought it was a solid show. Don't really see how we were screwed out of an Ambrose/Rollins match, it was never advertised. Plus, I guess you missed SummerSlam, they had a pretty wild brawl at that show.

Jericho/Orton was better than I expected but the finish was terrible, it was so obvious what was going to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ah, the ol' Hatfield/McCoy storyline.

  48. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonSeptember 22, 2014 at 8:57 AM

This was talked about before: The scenario Scott mentioned would either have HHH wrestle Sting or bring back Randy Orton's "Legend Killer" gimmick and have him take out Sting.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I liked the past title holders thing they did before each championship match and also thought the Lesnar/Cena stats from their last match was very cool.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonSeptember 22, 2014 at 9:03 AM

HHH would be good just because he could carry Sting. But as I've said before, Sting would need at least a year in a weight room and at the WWE performance Center to get the WWE style down.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Is Jesse Baker actually over the top crazy? Is it just a show he puts on when he does it? Because here he actually seems pretty reasonable. Is he actually on meds?

    ReplyDelete
  57. I think the way to go is to have Rollins & Ambrose fight for the briefcase at HitC, and put Ambrose over. That'll give WWE a contingency plan for WrestleMania in case Reigns is either still injured or not over enough to win the title (and also in case Punk rejects that truck full of money that Scott thinks is primed and ready).

Undertaker seems to prefer skinny blonde biker chicks that favor Jeff Jarrett.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Thanks! I also added that Metallica should be there to play Sting down to the ring with Seek and Destroy and that Motorhead should be there to play Triple H down and then WrestleMania should end with a Metallica/Motorhead jam session with all the Divas dancing topless on stripper poles.

Of course, that probably won't happen.

    Gotta have fun somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I don't know. I'm sure Triple H and Sting could plan out a 15 minute match based on their experience. They may have to do it Savage/DDP style (i.e., plan out every move), but whatever it takes to get one match at him is fine enough.

The weight room is another issue. He could be hanging and banging in the weight room as we speak as far as we know. He sure as hell won't be wrestling in a t-shirt on WWE TV.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Then have fun the way the rest of us do, and stomp on baby kittens.

...everyone else here does that, right?

    ReplyDelete
  66. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 22, 2014 at 9:09 AM

They have to hear how loud of a pop Ambrose is getting, but then again look at what happened to Bryan last year.

  67. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonSeptember 22, 2014 at 9:09 AM

There is NO way in GOD'S green earth, yellow Venus, or Red Mars that a HHH match with Sting goes less than 15 minutes at Wrestlemania.

  70. Does Charlie Haas come out so they can wrap up the BigVis/Haas/Lilian storyline? Then it runs out Lilian is Sting's wife friend? SWERVEZ!!!!

  71. After making Daniel Wyatt, which was utterly rejected by the crowd. Only then (and after CM Punk left) did Bryan get the title.

  74. The Daniel Wyatt thing was a 2 week tease to stretch out the storyline, and he got out of it more over than ever. I'm sorry for the upcoming name calling (ok, not sorry at all), but anyone who truly thought that the long term plans was for Daniel to turn heel and be a long term Wyatt is pretty much an idiot.

    ReplyDelete

  85. Taker comes out circa February to announce his retirement blah blah blah. All of a sudden Sting's music plays and he descends from the rafters. He challenges Taker to "one more match". And does the job in a relatively short (but probably not good) match to give Taker one more rub before going off in the sunset. They embrace at the end of the match. The end.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonSeptember 22, 2014 at 9:18 AM

    So about 35 minutes:
    - 15 for the Motorhead intro
    - 5 for the match itself (mostly to set up the Pedigree spot.)
    - 15 for Sting to lay there before HHH pins him.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonSeptember 22, 2014 at 9:19 AM

LOL @ Sting coming down from the rafters in 2014.

    ReplyDelete
  88. :). That was for added trolling effect.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I still don't understand the connection here, I mean, I get that you're just goofing around but why does the entire internet fanbase of wrestling connect Sting and Undertaker in their minds? They couldn't be more unrelated other than they both wear black.

    ReplyDelete
  90. The Authority is attacked by bees.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I don't know. Trolls and the handicapped are distinct phenomena.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I'm with you. I've never understood it either. They have no history at all. Both wore leather trench coats at one point I guess. That's about it. The whole "franchise" of each company thing could apply to several WWE guys. WCW is so long dead and buried that the "WCW vs. WWF" thing is over a decade too late

    ReplyDelete
  93. Sting and Flair wrestling in 2015 is embarassing

    ReplyDelete
  94. Brock Lesnar beats everybody and Sting wins the Rumble and voilá we have a Wrestlemania main event. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  95. You don't truly believe that college basketball game rumor, do you?

    ReplyDelete
  96. It's about the most interesting thing most the time, unfortunately

    ReplyDelete
  97. It was getting there in 1995.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Leave 5 minutes for Sting's "grand exit", which turns out being an audience confused about who this old man in facepaint is sitting on their hands.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I'm picturing Stephanie selling a bee attack and it's fucking glorious. Great idea.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I think it would have been ok a few years ago maybe when Sting could still sort of go. But now it would be dumb and awful. I just know a lot are still pining for it.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonSeptember 22, 2014 at 9:35 AM

The problem is not if Sting can go anymore. It's the Undertaker. That being said, I'd always wanted the Great Muta to wrestler the Undertaker, not Sting.

    ReplyDelete
  102. It could've been a great match, a decade ago. I just don't understand why people think Sting and then immediately think Undertaker in the same though. I don't understand the connection, you would think Mark was a fucking Blade Runner the way people have these guys forever entwined in their minds.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Yeah, they need to resolve that Reigns/Rollins fued.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Agreed on Taker. I think his body is finally broken.

    ReplyDelete
  105. It seems pretty obvious they weren't going with Bryan until thy had to, but the positive side to that is they've at least been willing to give the fans what they wanted, albeit reluctantly. Maybe if Reigns is getting Batista like reactions come February they'll do the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  106. why would Heyman be surprised? he is a thinking man and would be expecting a cash in every match

    ReplyDelete
  107. I think Carlito did a spring board cross body into the RKO that actually looked natural.

    ReplyDelete
  108. They could always run interference but doesn't it sort of hurt Brock's dominating Summerslam win when Cena had him beat twice afterwards?

    ReplyDelete
  109. HowmuchdoesthisguyweighSeptember 22, 2014 at 9:48 AM

Still think sting and taker teaming up against the Wyatt family could be good business.... Undertaker attempts to announce his retirement, "we're here", lights out, lights back on, sting bat pointed at Wyatt's.

    ReplyDelete
  110. ... I could go for that too.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I like the Orton idea. Orton made reference to his legend killer persona during the feud with Jericho. He could easily come out of his match last night and go right into this for the next few months. It would freshen his character up for a bit and give him a high profile Mania match. Orton could get a passable match out of Sting.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Nicolas Cage as guest host? I'm there!

    ReplyDelete
  113. Somehow I don't see that happening.

    ReplyDelete
  114. What I found funny about Storm's criticism is that, a lot of times, it really doesn't make sense. He'd say stuff like, "How are they to know I missed that dropkick? They've never worked a day in their life!" Sorry, pal, but you don't have to know how to work a match to know that you messed up on something.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I personally saw it as Heyman hedging his bets. Rollins is the Authority's golden child. The Authority signs his paychecks. I saw it as Heyman not wanting to bite the hand that feeds him. If Rollins cashes in and wins, then Heyman simply aligns himself with Rollins. But why actively show your support if something happens and Lesnar retains?

    ReplyDelete
  116. That was absolutely the long term plan. You-100% iincorrect.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Before anyone spends time disproving this obviously incorrect statement about the Wyatt thing being a two week angle as a long term plan just remember this his just a gimmick account and he's only working the gimmick.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Agreed, although I didn't think the storyline in theory was a bad idea, but the fans were having none of it, they didn't want to boo Daniel Bryan for any reason.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I think for shits and giggles they should do Sting vs the Black Scorpion with many fake Stings appearing trying to cost real Sting the match, lets get nWo Sting Jeff Farmer out of retirement :) Seriously that would be some of the finest nostalgia wrestlecrap ever!
