FSU has played four straight games against unranked teams, and have won by an average of less than a TD across them. They only have one top-20 win and that's against a now unranked and shitty Notre Dame. If they lose to GT, no way they hang onto a top-4 spot; if they win, they're gonna get routed by either Bama or Oregon depending if they win out.
It's only a matter of time before the football team gets what they long deserved.
Fifth Element is so good. I felt a lot of that in Guardians of the Galaxy. Never liked Mars Attacks, sadly; like Batman Returns, it just plays like Tim Burton's inside joke that I'm not in on.
Thanks, but I have no plans of using that, I played with a Wii the way it was supposed to be played with years ago and it got old after an hour or two. I plan on going retro gaming with that thing, using a regular controller.
Virtual Console/GC games he should be fine, but it's sacrilege to own a Wii and not play the Super Mario Galaxy games, which requires the motion bar to register but involves minimal motion.
Hey you can watch the SEC network for an alternate broadcast of the Iron Bowl, listen to Paul Slimebaum while he takes calls from mouth-breathing hilljacks.
But 2 overall, including the #1 team in the land at the time, and unlike FSU, they're squashing their jobbers; only Arkansas played them to a single-digit game.
They're among the greatest games ever, and maybe the best level design seen. It's basically a cross between SMB 3 (level design) and Mario 64 (gameplay structure) and they're both amazing.
Playing the guys they have though helps, they're not playing world beaters as of late. GT will be a good test going into the CFP; I think they'll beat GT, but this will be the best team they've faced going into a game.
The Halo Master Chief Collection is the most broken game I've ever had the misfortune of buying. Even worse than Arkham Origins. Wish I didn't buy it digitally so I could return it or at least dramatically smash the disc.
Would you shut the fuck up already? Yes, we get it, the main character in most FFs suck donkey dick. What everyone cares about is PLAYING IT, and maybe 10% of it is the story. God you're dumb. XII had a great battle, ability and weapon system.
I just think the addition of double the racers and game-breaking weapons just makes it a cheater mccheaterson of a game, plus most of the original tracks aren't very inspired (the mine level is great though) and like with the next Kart games, I hate the Baby-filled roster. They really need to take a Smash Bros. approach with the series in terms of tracks and characters, I'd rather get a Cpt. Falcon and Fox in there instead of Baby Waluigi or whatever.
It actually matters in this case because FFXII was designed without Vaan and Penelo. They were literally shoehorned in at the last minute because Squeenix thought that without a bishounen main character, that kids wouldn't be able to understand the story and relate to Basch.
It didn't ruin the game for me, I loved the game, especially Zodiac job version but I understand why people are frustrated. XII is a clear demarcation point where Amano began losing influence.
VII is clearly the best because it actually propelled the series into relevance for the next 15 years or so. VI was great, but not groundbreaking like VII.
Personally I don't think so either, but putting 2 Big XII teams in the top 4 would probably cause a civil war. Then again Texas Tech just scored on Baylor so maybe Baylor solves this on their own.
Opening tag is pretty fun IIRC and the main events are crappy but fascinating (HHH and Flair join forces, Taker refusing to put over Brock very strong, etc.), plus the HLA stuff will be a good trainwreck. This was my first PPV in person and people were chanting for HLA all day
But again, you have to take these games and just put up with the shitty main characters because that's just what they do. I ignore them and just pretended that Basch, Balthier and Asche were the main characters.... which they kinda were anyway, if you followed the story.
Same with X: Tidus and Yuna blew, but Lulu and Auron were great characters beside them.
The only one that hit it out of the park was VII because I kinda liked all of them.... actually I liked the story for VIII too, but the battle system just stunk to high heaven.
I got Injustice: Gods Among Us from the library for 7 days for .50 cents. It's a real slog but I'll make it through. Not exactly enjoying myself. Rather be playing Fire Pro D for the Dreamcast.
It was a fun game competitively for the tournament crowd. The single player stuff is a true slog, the definition of "do it once then never ever ever touch it again because eff that noise"
And the promotions took care of lodging and transportation. And if you were established enough, sponors could take care of your meals. Pretty good gig.
And even though few watched it, Kim/Terrell Last Knockout Standing from Slammiversary 2013 (and the ladder match a week or two later) were awesome.
Hell, the LKS match was arguably the BEST match on a card that had Angle-Styles (HORRIBLE finish), Bad Influence and Dirty Heels in a four team elimination match (HORRIBLE booking), and Sabin/King/Suicide (decent match).
Weird detail but I watched the ten man tags from 87 and 88 back to back and observed the way they mic'd the ring sounds changed in that time frame, like in 87 every slam on the mat is not very loud and then in 88 it's the cool noise we associate with wrestling today
Was just coming in to say that. His gear was horrendous. Made it impossible to take him seriously as a wrestler. And if Vince truly thought that it was going to be a money-making gimmick, I can't imagine that he'd have booked Davis as such a pussy right out of the gate.
Bigelow, although a great character with some cool moves, he was over at first, then got hurt, and also did not get along well with Andre. He also had some other attitude issues, so that's why his first WWF run was so short.
I wish BamBam had stayed healthy and been pushed as a major Hogan enemy after the requisite heel turn. He was awesome back then and had a great look especially for an 80s heel.
Yes, I was thinking of her as one of my favourites as well, I think they only included ones where there was a close up of the fan, whereas she would be easier to miss. It was still kind of hilarious though, that match was interesting in that it was one of the few times where support was split 50-50 between Shawn & Sid.
I love that they had the camera on the crowd when Rock's music hit. There were about 15 great reactions from that shot alone, ranging from "Holy shit" to total freakouts to just wide grins of "ah, of course...."
I can't believe they didn't include the ORIGINAL 'kid stunned by a Cena loss,' following Edge beating Cena and RVD for the title https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi0fQaYp_5U#t=142
Savage and Elizabeth is probably my favorite moment, just because of the history; that's a 7-year story arc coming to an end. I've never actually seen the Demon Girl one before, but that's pretty awesome, too.
The demon girl one is AWESOME. Never saw it before. I'm halfway between wanting to give the kid a hug (she looked DEVASTATED by his winning) and finding the furthest corner of the earth to run from that kid. I'll choose option B.
I'm as cynical as anyone, but when the streak ended, I was all "wait, what?" and sat there in shock for about 20 seconds, just baffled and waiting for them to restart the match.
LOLFSUWINS
ReplyDeleteFuckin' Florida literally threw that one away.
ReplyDeleteA family member just gave me a hand me down Wii with 4 games and no manual, gonna try to assemble it. This could go very well, or very bad.
ReplyDeleteAssemble it? It's a video game console not lego! Plug in 2 cords and turn it on.
ReplyDeleteBut which cords? And what to do with that motion bar?! I'm gonna be sung my old GameCube controllers on that thing.
ReplyDeleteFSU has played four straight games against unranked teams, and have won by an average of less than a TD across them. They only have one top-20 win and that's against a now unranked and shitty Notre Dame. If they lose to GT, no way they hang onto a top-4 spot; if they win, they're gonna get routed by either Bama or Oregon depending if they win out.
ReplyDeleteIt's only a matter of time before the football team gets what they long deserved.
Motion bar goes above or below the TV (protip: works best on top of the TV).
ReplyDeleteGuy threw three 1st quarter INT and they still win. That don't happen. It's destiny. Just may down and accept it.
ReplyDeleteEvening.
ReplyDeleteMovies I watched today
Idiocracy
Fifth Element
Shrek
Mars Attacks.
Bama has one win over a current top 25 team...
ReplyDeleteI still BO LIEVE in a team worth their salt would rip them apart, once they stop playing the dregs of the SEC and their own shitty conference.
ReplyDeleteYou really shouldn't have any trouble connecting a Wii.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to 14 years ago.
ReplyDeletePower supply
ReplyDeleteTV adapter
Motion bar
This is kid's stuff.
I watch a doc on Brazil and how much it sucks.
ReplyDeleteFifth Element is so good. I felt a lot of that in Guardians of the Galaxy. Never liked Mars Attacks, sadly; like Batman Returns, it just plays like Tim Burton's inside joke that I'm not in on.
ReplyDeleteThanks, but I have no plans of using that, I played with a Wii the way it was supposed to be played with years ago and it got old after an hour or two. I plan on going retro gaming with that thing, using a regular controller.
ReplyDeleteDoes Idiocracy remind you of home?
ReplyDeleteYou can't just not use it. It's required.
ReplyDeleteNever! I have not yet begun to fight.
ReplyDeleteYou watch the most random collection of movies.
ReplyDeleteBe a man and play with an Xbox, PS or computer. Fuck's sake, a fucking Wii.
ReplyDeleteFinished season 4 of Dexter today. Is it worth continuing past that?
ReplyDeleteYes, one day I was watching the Seventh seal.
ReplyDeleteWell yeah, I know that it's hooked up to the system, I'm just gong to use it sparsely.
ReplyDeleteVirtual Console/GC games he should be fine, but it's sacrilege to own a Wii and not play the Super Mario Galaxy games, which requires the motion bar to register but involves minimal motion.
ReplyDeleteKidney stones and FSU bullshit. Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking.
ReplyDeleteYou watched Shrek, what are you retarded?
ReplyDeleteHey you can watch the SEC network for an alternate broadcast of the Iron Bowl, listen to Paul Slimebaum while he takes calls from mouth-breathing hilljacks.
ReplyDeleteHe still has to use the wii mote to select the games.
ReplyDeleteI have a 360, but I never had the chance to play Brawl.
ReplyDeleteWhat Mr. Satan said
ReplyDeleteI liked season 5 but season 4 is the Apex. I quit watching after season 6. Season 7 never grabbed me.
ReplyDeleteWho cares.
ReplyDeleteI want to get a Wii now to play the Galaxy games again.
ReplyDeleteCan't play that with anything but a gamecube controller.
ReplyDeleteMario Galaxy is good?
ReplyDeleteClassic SNL is Ben Affleck/NERD.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite episodes ever.
Speaking of video games, I have FFX on PS2 but I wanna play the HD version but... ah fuck it, I'll play it on the old PS2, for old time's sake.
ReplyDeleteWell, good thing I have 4 of those.
ReplyDeleteI liked seasons 5 and 6 more than most people, but it never got back to the quality in season 4. Also, fuck you John Lithgow!
ReplyDeleteFifth Element hasn't aged that well, but is still a cheese trip that makes it up in the end.
ReplyDeleteIt's maybe the best Wii game out there.
ReplyDeleteBut 2 overall, including the #1 team in the land at the time, and unlike FSU, they're squashing their jobbers; only Arkansas played them to a single-digit game.
ReplyDeleteSuper good. Can't go wrong with it or a Zelda game.
ReplyDeleteA "cheese trip"? Kill yourself.
ReplyDeleteFifth Element could have easily been turned into a trilogy. It's been a while since I've seen it.
ReplyDeleteNo, I mean you can play with a wii mote, but I prefer the gamecube controller.
ReplyDeleteThey'll find a way to win. They always do. They just eek out a win every time.
ReplyDeleteA win is a win...I haven't had a clue to how the hell they've done it, but to do it that many times can't be luck.
ReplyDeleteMississippi State goes down. All on Alabama now to save us from an Oregon-FSU abomination. Prepare to die, Auburn.
ReplyDeleteMan, I must have been given a great Wii then, because they also gave me the games of Brawl, Galaxy, and Twilight Princess.
ReplyDeleteSeason 4 is by far the best, and it's actually how I think the series should have ended. I found it repeatitive from here on out.
ReplyDeleteWasn't that the last decent FF game?
ReplyDeleteYup, three good games.
ReplyDeleteHeathen blasphemy!
ReplyDeleteDamn, that's the fucking Wii jackpot.
ReplyDeleteBy many accords, yes.
ReplyDeleteThey're among the greatest games ever, and maybe the best level design seen. It's basically a cross between SMB 3 (level design) and Mario 64 (gameplay structure) and they're both amazing.
ReplyDeleteNo.
ReplyDeleteXII kicked ass, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
ReplyDeleteBrawl and Galaxy(ies) would be worth owning a Wii just for them.
ReplyDeleteMissing Mario Kart though.
ReplyDeleteWas there EVER a decent FF game?
ReplyDeleteEh, MKWii is the weakest one in the series.
ReplyDeletePlus Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.
ReplyDeleteThe last great one, yes. XII was ok, but not a classic.
ReplyDeleteYou have to leave now.
ReplyDeleteWeak Mario Kart is still a good game.
ReplyDeleteVI,VII,IX and XII.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Not anywhere near as an expansive as I'd hoped it would be.
ReplyDeleteThe games have some dust and scratches on them, hope they work.
ReplyDeleteStay out of it, bitch.
ReplyDeleteHow hard can it be to assemble?
ReplyDeletePlaying the guys they have though helps, they're not playing world beaters as of late. GT will be a good test going into the CFP; I think they'll beat GT, but this will be the best team they've faced going into a game.
ReplyDeleteI prefer Double Dash.
ReplyDeleteEveryone says VI is the best Final Fantasy game...I always liked IX the most
ReplyDeleteXII biggest problem was the protagonist, get Vaan out and Put Barsch as the center, the narrative would've been so much better.
ReplyDeleteIt's not, like at all.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a manual, at it looks like an original model.
ReplyDeleteIt is, multiplayer is still fun.
ReplyDeleteI was the return to the Innocence for FF.
ReplyDeleteCM Punk was the best performer of this generation.
ReplyDeleteRight, a weak protagonist makes it ok but not great. Definitely hurts the story, too.
ReplyDeleteWho uses a manual? Plugs match to the holes that are the same shape, done.
ReplyDeleteThe Halo Master Chief Collection is the most broken game I've ever had the misfortune of buying. Even worse than Arkham Origins. Wish I didn't buy it digitally so I could return it or at least dramatically smash the disc.
ReplyDeleteWould you shut the fuck up already? Yes, we get it, the main character in most FFs suck donkey dick. What everyone cares about is PLAYING IT, and maybe 10% of it is the story. God you're dumb. XII had a great battle, ability and weapon system.
ReplyDeletePretty much.
ReplyDeleteShush.
ReplyDeleteI just think the addition of double the racers and game-breaking weapons just makes it a cheater mccheaterson of a game, plus most of the original tracks aren't very inspired (the mine level is great though) and like with the next Kart games, I hate the Baby-filled roster. They really need to take a Smash Bros. approach with the series in terms of tracks and characters, I'd rather get a Cpt. Falcon and Fox in there instead of Baby Waluigi or whatever.
ReplyDeleteEveryone says VII is, actually. Hard to argue.
ReplyDeleteLink with Epona. Sonic on his own two feet.
ReplyDeleteVII is a favorite for the marks, VI is the game for smarks.
ReplyDeleteI will argue on behalf of VI
ReplyDeleteTGGI
ReplyDeleteUpvote because you were somewhat polite.
ReplyDeleteThird.
ReplyDeleteFinally! Someone says it about me!
ReplyDeleteNow we are so happy, we do the dance of joy!
That's what we're starting to get with the Wii U Mario Kart.
ReplyDeleteNo, Abey has to build his from scratch. It's different.
ReplyDeleteWhat's crackin'
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna watch/running comment Unforgiven 2002 at 9 Et/6 PT if anyone is down with that and follow along
ReplyDeleteHe's a smart guy, I think he can do it.
ReplyDeleteOr truth...
ReplyDeletehttp://badgermama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/chipmunk.gif
It actually matters in this case because FFXII was designed without Vaan and Penelo. They were literally shoehorned in at the last minute because Squeenix thought that without a bishounen main character, that kids wouldn't be able to understand the story and relate to Basch.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't ruin the game for me, I loved the game, especially Zodiac job version but I understand why people are frustrated. XII is a clear demarcation point where Amano began losing influence.
That's a filthy lie, David.
ReplyDeleteVII is clearly the best because it actually propelled the series into relevance for the next 15 years or so. VI was great, but not groundbreaking like VII.
Watching the Leafs/Capitals. Was going to take a shot every time Glenn Healey shits on Ovechkin but I don't want to be drunk by 10:30.
ReplyDeleteRemember, before you bash schedules they are made at least 5 years in advance.
ReplyDeleteChillin, killin.
ReplyDeleteEddie/Edge, Angle/Benoit and then nothing good.
ReplyDeleteOh wait... HLA. That doesn't happen.
I'm enjoying the SEC meltdown tonight. If Auburn beats Alabama, no SEC team will be in the top 4. Oregon, FSU, Ohio State, TCU/Baylor.
ReplyDeleteLet's! Do! THIS?!?!!
ReplyDeletehttp://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/peanut-dance.gif
I don't Ohio State should jump into top 4. Close win and lost their QB.
ReplyDeleteWWE 13, 14 or 15, which should I get?
ReplyDelete14
ReplyDeletePersonally I don't think so either, but putting 2 Big XII teams in the top 4 would probably cause a civil war. Then again Texas Tech just scored on Baylor so maybe Baylor solves this on their own.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit at that Texas Tech catch
ReplyDeleteOpening tag is pretty fun IIRC and the main events are crappy but fascinating (HHH and Flair join forces, Taker refusing to put over Brock very strong, etc.), plus the HLA stuff will be a good trainwreck. This was my first PPV in person and people were chanting for HLA all day
ReplyDelete13. Attitude Era mode fucking rules (despite some insanely difficult objectives).
ReplyDelete13. Attitude Era mode and a stacked roster.
ReplyDeleteBut again, you have to take these games and just put up with the shitty main characters because that's just what they do. I ignore them and just pretended that Basch, Balthier and Asche were the main characters.... which they kinda were anyway, if you followed the story.
ReplyDeleteSame with X: Tidus and Yuna blew, but Lulu and Auron were great characters beside them.
The only one that hit it out of the park was VII because I kinda liked all of them.... actually I liked the story for VIII too, but the battle system just stunk to high heaven.
15 because it's new.
ReplyDeleteOk, so which controller works better for each Wii game?
ReplyDeleteBrawl
Twilight Princess
Mario Galaxy
I haven't bought a WWE game since Smackdown vs. Raw 2007.
ReplyDeleteMute City track too, right? I'm calling it, I bet they go full Smash Kart with it in the next gen.
ReplyDeleteRead a bunch of reviews that said 15 was gutted.
ReplyDeleteI got Injustice: Gods Among Us from the library for 7 days for .50 cents. It's a real slog but I'll make it through. Not exactly enjoying myself. Rather be playing Fire Pro D for the Dreamcast.
ReplyDeleteHCTP over here.
ReplyDeleteI was invincible in that one.
I liked the characters, story and system for IX.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun game competitively for the tournament crowd. The single player stuff is a true slog, the definition of "do it once then never ever ever touch it again because eff that noise"
ReplyDeleteAll together: BOO THIS MAN
ReplyDeleteI love me some Injustice, esp. the Amell Arrow DLC.
Brawl- GC
ReplyDeleteThe other two - Wiimote
Injustice is one of the PS Plus free games for December.
ReplyDeleteI liked it initially, but upon replay I was too bored to make it past disc 1.
ReplyDeleteHere is the youtube link for 'Murica:
ReplyDeletehttp://youtu.be/zwTRHfEMq7k
First time I ever saw that clip.. that girl was frigging hilarious.
ReplyDeleteClick on the first one right below. Same video, not blocked
ReplyDeleteBecause ya gotta have no less than 3 kids doing adorable things in the name of Jesus H. Cena. It's in the rules, man.
ReplyDeleteJudges?
ReplyDeleteYes. Ooh, tough break there.
Exactly what I was thinking
ReplyDeleteAnd the promotions took care of lodging and transportation. And if you were established enough, sponors could take care of your meals. Pretty good gig.
ReplyDeleteI still like this one guy ringside at WM30 in awe at seeing Austin and Hogan together in the ring. Then he went totally OMFG when Rock's music hit.
ReplyDeleteYep. He had an Austin 3:16 shirt on I believe.
ReplyDeleteDanny Davis wasn't half bad on the mic either.
ReplyDeleteAnd even though few watched it, Kim/Terrell Last Knockout Standing from Slammiversary 2013 (and the ladder match a week or two later) were awesome.
ReplyDeleteHell, the LKS match was arguably the BEST match on a card that had Angle-Styles (HORRIBLE finish), Bad Influence and Dirty Heels in a four team elimination match (HORRIBLE booking), and Sabin/King/Suicide (decent match).
Too over the top? For being front row watching the Streak end before your eyes? If anything it's understated.
ReplyDeleteI saw the ladder match, yep 'twas indeed a good 'un.
ReplyDeleteStill got chills for #10, #3, & #1... good stuff.
ReplyDeleteIt was like a demon possessed her.
ReplyDeleteI always called him Vader's son.
ReplyDeleteWeird detail but I watched the ten man tags from 87 and 88 back to back and observed the way they mic'd the ring sounds changed in that time frame, like in 87 every slam on the mat is not very loud and then in 88 it's the cool noise we associate with wrestling today
ReplyDeleteHa! I totally forgot about him until I was watching Survivor Series 96 last week and there he was! He was sitting near super fan Vlad.

ReplyDeleteHere's Mr #1 on twitter.
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/EllisMbeh
Was just coming in to say that. His gear was horrendous. Made it impossible to take him seriously as a wrestler. And if Vince truly thought that it was going to be a money-making gimmick, I can't imagine that he'd have booked Davis as such a pussy right out of the gate.
ReplyDeleteThere is a guy who legit cups his ear back at Hogan during the beginning of the match.
ReplyDeleteI dunno, Jobber Virgil actually seemed really good. Smooth moves and very athletic. But by then, they'd already pushed him down the card.
ReplyDeleteIts late in the day and i'm a little punchy, but i laughed out for like 10 seconds. thanks.
ReplyDeleteHumperdink was a pretty awful fit in the WWF. As little as he brought to Bigelow, he brought even less to Orndorff.
ReplyDeleteBigelow, although a great character with some cool moves, he was over at first, then got hurt, and also did not get along well with Andre. He also had some other attitude issues, so that's why his first WWF run was so short.
ReplyDeleteRemember how in '88-91, the tag scene in WWF was so huge, there was serious push by fans to create an IC tag title? How times change....
ReplyDeleteAlways think Trish/Victoria at Survivor Series 2002 underrated, they just beat the holy hell out of each other.
ReplyDeleteI wish BamBam had stayed healthy and been pushed as a major Hogan enemy after the requisite heel turn. He was awesome back then and had a great look especially for an 80s heel.
ReplyDeleteYes, I was thinking of her as one of my favourites as well, I think they only included ones where there was a close up of the fan, whereas she would be easier to miss. It was still kind of hilarious though, that match was interesting in that it was one of the few times where support was split 50-50 between Shawn & Sid.
ReplyDelete"Hunter, you can bench HOW much?!"
ReplyDelete*shocked face*
I love that they had the camera on the crowd when Rock's music hit. There were about 15 great reactions from that shot alone, ranging from "Holy shit" to total freakouts to just wide grins of "ah, of course...."
ReplyDeleteI can't believe they didn't include the ORIGINAL 'kid stunned by a Cena loss,' following Edge beating Cena and RVD for the title
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi0fQaYp_5U#t=142
I could watch stunned reactions to the Streak ending all day. Every person in that stadium had that same look of utter shock.
ReplyDeleteAll this list does is remind me that I don't want children until my soul has already been drained of life.
ReplyDeleteThat is legit my favorite, mainly because I was there live.
ReplyDeleteI did. And you have the temerity to talk about uninformed comments?
ReplyDeleteMakes it even worse.
ReplyDeleteThat family of Cena merch racks was clearly a plant.
ReplyDeleteHe can be their new Ron Simmons; instead of "Damn!", he can just stand in the background making that face when something wacky happens.
ReplyDeleteSavage and Elizabeth is probably my favorite moment, just because of the history; that's a 7-year story arc coming to an end. I've never actually seen the Demon Girl one before, but that's pretty awesome, too.
ReplyDeleteThe demon girl one is AWESOME. Never saw it before. I'm halfway between wanting to give the kid a hug (she looked DEVASTATED by his winning) and finding the furthest corner of the earth to run from that kid. I'll choose option B.
ReplyDeleteI'm as cynical as anyone, but when the streak ended, I was all "wait, what?" and sat there in shock for about 20 seconds, just baffled and waiting for them to restart the match.
ReplyDeleteI've got to agree that it wasn't a plant.
