Fenix is incredible.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've been screaming about this match for weeks. Lucha is awesome.
ReplyDeleteVampiro is hilarious.
ReplyDeletePrince Puma(Ricochet) too
ReplyDeleteLucha is a great fun show. I really wish people would check it out just to enjoy some wrestling. The Aztec Warfare match was incredible and a really good time.
ReplyDeleteI honestly think Ricochet is the best in the world right now.
ReplyDeleteI would say he's in the top 20.
ReplyDeleteIt's quickly become my favorite wrestling show. And even though I have to watch it the spanish version, and can't understand a they they say, it's a blast just listening to hugo savinovich announcing.
ReplyDeleteThat's fair. I think I'm biased because I've seen him so much live that I've watching him go from goofy flipping guy to automatic motyc every time out.
ReplyDeleteI'm also extremely high on Adam Cole because he's just such a fantastic heel.
BRU TAL
ReplyDeleteBRU TAL
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRU TALLLLLLLLLLL
I'd say ****1/2 and an early candidate for MOTY
ReplyDeleteYou could get 6 months of storylines out of this one match EASILY. Why does everything have to be so complicated? Two new challengers for the champ due to the triple threat, Star's feud from being in the final four.....I mean, is it really that hard to do?
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I kinda wish I got the Spanish version. I've been picking up a lot of Spanish from watching AAA and CMLL lately. It's fun!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmm marshmallows.....
ReplyDeleteI remember posting here after this aired that it was fun but was unlikely to be better than the Rumble. Man, if I only knew...
ReplyDeleteAlso, Lucha Underground has done the impossible by making Chavo Guerrero Jr an interesting character
ReplyDeleteRicochet is great, but he's at his best when he is in there with some one that slows him down. That's the thing that has taken Cole to another level in the last 6-8 months or so is learning to slow down and let your charisma and character work for you.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love is that the all roster get pinned clean and no one looked bad because of it. Every storylines from the past weeks had been included, and everyone got a chance to shine and showcase their talent.
ReplyDeleteRicochet vs Ibushi was great, I hope he get to work more for NJPW and maybe go to the heavyweight like Kota
ReplyDeleteFenix could have been the Rey Mysterio remplacement WWE keep looking for, he have great charisma and his mask is way better than the Sin Cara or the Kalisto one
ReplyDeleteUm, somebody forgot the Kerwin White years errr weeks
ReplyDeleteLosing is fine, someone always has to lose. The key is not making anybody lose in a way where they look foolish
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the heading, I originally thought this was gonna be a Jeff Jarrett match circa 1997.
ReplyDeleteI agree, i'm really sick of the non-stop dq finish, distraction finish and overbooking in effort to "protect" people.
ReplyDeleteI can't deal with Savinovich, and I can understand every word he's saying. Thank God for Matt Striker, said someone for the first time ever.
ReplyDeleteStarted with last week's episode, now working back from the first episode. Love what I see so far. Some sloppiness (would have loved at least some tweenish behavior from Chavo in the mixed tag in the second episode), but just great to watch simple storylines and characters develop.
ReplyDeleteAgree that Puma's amazing.
I'm sure Ziggler would like to.
ReplyDeleteOh man, if Ziggler ever showed up in Lucha Underground it'd be sick if Chavo just go in his face and said "get my golf clubs"
ReplyDeleteAlthough he kind of brought out a big hole in the match:
ReplyDeleteIf it's no DQ, bring a weapon. No one was able to defend themselves because everyone else was a moron.
Cole will be in NXT by the end of the year
ReplyDeleteI watched this tonight (via DVR) with my 12 year old son. Half way through, he even said, "This is so much better than the Rumble was."
ReplyDeleteAfterward, he asked if he could watch some of the other episodes I have recorded.
Still not as good as "Amway Salesman" Chavo Guerrero Jr.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome!
ReplyDeleteholy crap I totally forgot that happened!
ReplyDeleteHere is the Prince Puma vs Fenix title match from the next show. Great match!

I pray that Vince doesn't ever hear about NXT, because you KNOW he'll screw with it just to fuck over the fans.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what's worse -- TNA, who screw over their fans by stupidity, or WWE, who seem to be doing it on purpose. Wrestlemania last year and NXT prove that WWE KNOW how to do things right, but seem to go out of their way not to.
the uploader couldn't edit out the commercials? gah...
ReplyDeleteSure are a lot of high kicks in this promotion. Interesting dynamic, having guys rest outside instead of doing the Lazy Lean to allow others the focus. Puma here impressed me, as did most of the masked guys who got jobbed out quickly.
ReplyDeleteMuch less of the "no contact, guys go flying from an armdrag where someone just touches their arm 800 times a match" stuff I'm used to from Lucha.
