Mark Henry Update
Although there is no word when he is returning, Henry has reportedly lost a lot of weight since the last TV appearance.

TNA Talent Increasingly Frustrated?
While on the tour in the UK, the talent reportedly came to the realization that with no house shows or PPV's planned and just about everyone paid on a per appearance basis that everyone will earn substantially less this year. Also, there is a recognition that TNA is staving off dying as opposed to before when there was the idea that they were trying to grow.

WWE Cancels Plans to Induct Hall of Famer
It appears that plans to induct Ray Stevens into the WWE Hall of Fame this year have been cancelled.

That's weird about Stevens. Did they actually ever state he was going in?
ReplyDelete"Also, there is a recognition that TNA is staving off dying as opposed to before when there was the idea that they were trying to grow."
ReplyDeleteWell, duh.
Any word on if Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus is still the plan, or if they're going to throw DB into this IC title Ladder Match?
ReplyDeleteIt was discussed but never announced.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Pat is going Banana over this.
ReplyDelete"Although there is no word when he is returning, Henry has reportedly lost a lot of weight since the last TV appearance."
ReplyDeleteI'm not falling for this again. The Ross Report used to give us so many updates on The Big Show's weight loss in OVW I started to believe we'd see an anorexic Billy Kidman show up on TV. Then he came back about 100 pounds heavier than ever.
This just in: TNA talent blind as fucking bats.
ReplyDeleteSo TNA isn't letting their guys work Indies? That's pretty idiotic.
ReplyDeleteJason Jordan?
ReplyDeleteWas it? I know he's been with Tye Dillinger, but I was sure this guy wasn't associated with anyone else - maybe that's where I've been going wrong!
ReplyDeleteI dunno if it's true or not. I saw a poster for a show in England that had James Storm and DJZ wrestling on it. I think they may still have that No DVD/iPPV shows, which means they probably don't make as much money as they could.
ReplyDeleteWhen I brought up that those two seemed like generic goobers, people said he was the new Kurt. Think it's him you're talking about.
ReplyDelete*waits for WWF1987*
ReplyDeleteI'm still fucking so so so disgusted about d Bryan in this ic title match too.
ReplyDeleteThe locker room is also frustrated because the black/blue dress people aren't talking to the white gold dress people
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty major troll job. Gotta be impressed by their commitment to hating their audience.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Battle Kat above, it's not JJ - which makes me feel slightly more sane, as I was sure this guy had only made one appearance so far.
ReplyDeleteBrain going mad! Going to have to try and check through old results or something.
She really has some nerve to act like this was so great. Spike is definitely a tier one channel. Destination America is basically a UHF network.
ReplyDeleteTo me they should be banned from working ROH and Lucha Underground. And that's it.
ReplyDeleteAnything else they want to do, if it doesn't conflict with TNA, who cares. Let them pad their pockets.
Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to him? He looked like a really good prospect - is he still with NXT?
Its really remarkable. How come they can't commit like this to anything else.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but that's Jim Ross. Big Show looked thin next to him.
ReplyDeleteSeems like it. He can be the 6th match from the top at Mania. Sad.
ReplyDeleteI know. I never understood why they had problems with those smaller places that sell DVD's. Like I love PWG the most, but how many DVD's do they sell compared to how many eyeballs TNA were getting at their peak on their TV show? It was a fraction of the amount and shouldn't have been enough for them to tell guys they can't make more $.
ReplyDeleteIs killing off all of Ambrose and Bryans heat within 4 months the most impressive booking Vince has ever done?
ReplyDeleteMeltzer was spot on in the Observer this week.
ReplyDeleteIt's the only real thing Vince has left to compete against.
ReplyDeletecesaro is pretty high up there too
ReplyDeleteHe was getting over well just one year ago. Now, no one gives a fuck about him.
ReplyDeleteNot sure, but it's close.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if killing off his company is the last challenge he has. Or maybe if he can destroy wrestling he figures that every fan would buy the network! It's genius!
No one in creative gives a fuck about him.
ReplyDeleteToo busy scripting those awesome stories, like Orton's return last week.
ReplyDeleteSo...we have Mach', Nash, Bushwackers, who else? Why not Stevens? Why not Larry Z? They usually have 5 or 6, right?
ReplyDeleteWE ARE HAVING FUN, GOD DAMMIT!
ReplyDeleteAnd now RoH might be doing a monthly show on Spike, so I guess they just really didn't want TNA anymore
ReplyDeleteJust another person who, by dying, will make the world a better place
ReplyDeleteThe best thing they can do is Cena wins US title, Bryan wins IC title. Cena jobs the US back to Rusev at the next PPV, Bryan defends the IC successfully.
ReplyDeleteAnd then they start to build Bryan/Rusev title unification match (or they could do Cena/Bryan, but Cena doesn't really need to be involved in that and Rusev losing then coming back to win the blow off would be big momentum for him).
If they do that, I'll give them credit, that's a great way to build a secondary title.
I'll believe it when I see it, though. They likely haven't even given a thought to the planning of either belt.
Ah yes....Rikishi and Arnold. So I guess that is 5. Nevermind.
ReplyDeleteIt would be one thing if this all happened because Vince wanted to push other people like ...eh I don't believe in Cesaro, Bryan and Ambrose, I want to make Ziggler, Bray and barrett the next big stars....but no...no one else got over either.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!! Smarks!! LOL!!! IWC!! LOL!!! LOL!!!
ReplyDelete:\
I've been saying this since last year, but it's extrordinary just what kind of lengths they'll go to fight against the very audience that pays for their living.
ReplyDeleteThen again, we always joke about "So, see you next Monday?" Because it's fucking true. We keep coming back, anyway, no matter what happens.
I would love to see Bryan elevate the title like Nakamura did, but I have 0 faith in WWE
ReplyDeleteVince,
ReplyDeleteThank you. Not only have I stopped watching RAW, and removed the Network (NXT on Hulu) but now I will also skip Wrestlemania.
I appreciate all of the free time you have given back to me. My family also thanks you for this. You are really generous and always thinking of the fans.
BAH GAWD KING, THAT DRESS MAY BE WHITE AND GOLD NOW, BUT IT'LL BE BLACK AND BLUE AFTER AUSTIN STOMPS A MUDHOLE IN IT
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched more than 5 minutes of Raw since August. I don't know why you're watching, but I haven't been.
ReplyDeleteGreat plan....so no chance that you would see it
ReplyDeleteWhat's most impressive about it from Ambrose and Bryan's perspective is that they're both still as over as they are.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, neither have I. I've tuned in once in awhile, but I'll tap out by the first hour. Most of the time, I only watch it to participate in the live threads here.
ReplyDeleteIf there were two world titles, would we be complaining all that much?
ReplyDeleteWe could have reigns v Brock in one match and Bryan v Rollins in the other. Or reigns v Ambrose v Rollins for one title and Bryan v Brock for the other title.
Not really, ratings are down from one year to the other. People get angry at first because they are still invested in the product, after that come apathy and then they just watch something else
ReplyDeleteYeah because Bryan wouldn't have the correct title no matter which title he had.
ReplyDeleteYeah, and Reigns-Brock would go on last, and go for 25 minutes, while the Bryan match would go on second and get 6 minutes.
ReplyDeleteMost comeback, but not everyone. I left for close to 9 years and now I'm gone again. And maybe 95 out of 100 do watch the next week. However, if you keep losing those 5 (and they are, just look at the ratings), eventually you will wake up one day with no audience. And that is where we are heading
ReplyDeleteThe two titles wasn't working for me in the post-brand split era. We have to go back to, what, 2010 or so for when there was last a true brand split? I'm glad there's only one title. If they can't book that one title that well, you want to put another one in their hands?
ReplyDeleteI tried watching a normal episode of NXT tonight, but couldn't finish. I think I will become physically ill the next time I hear the word "performance" on commentary in the context of a wrestling match.
ReplyDeleteGoodbye again Network.
Probably because it still would be Lesnar/Reigns for the WWE and Russev/Cena for the world and Bryan in the midcar title
ReplyDeleteThey don't even have the depth to run two brands. It would come off meaningless, IMO.
ReplyDeleteI always find it interesting when people feel they need to make public announcements about whether or not they're currently watching. I feel largely the same way about the current product, but what you could do is just, y'know, not watch and talk about something else.
ReplyDeleteVince truly is a humanitarian.
ReplyDeleteAlso, "So, see you next Monday, eh?"
ReplyDeleteWe're getting Bryan in the IC title pictur, which is basically the same as having the wrong world title match.
ReplyDeleteIt's a blog. About wrestling. Not sure how many other things I should talk about
ReplyDeleteAnd this is why you take independent dates.
ReplyDelete...
ReplyDeleteNow that is an interesting theory. You have zero domestic competition. You need network subscribers. Make your product suck so bad wrestling fans have to buy the archives.
maybe we can call it the World Intercontinental Championship
ReplyDeleteHenry made an appearance at the Gotham Burger Social Club the other night, looking like he had plenty of weight on him https://instagram.com/p/zgZ0NSDoHT/
ReplyDeleteHow about the myth of global warming?
ReplyDelete1. We talk about any number of topics, particularly in this thread.
ReplyDelete2. You don't watch the wrestling you're talking about, which you said yourself seven minutes ago. There's plenty of other wrestling organizations to talk about.
3. If you don't watch any of those organizations, and you think this blog is so myopic that we only discuss wrestling, I'm not sure why you're here.
I still say the push now should be to get Bryan on NXT
ReplyDeletePlace to be Nation's WrestleMania Re-Book Series Continues today with WrestleMania V
ReplyDeletehttp://placetobenation.com/the-great-wrestlemania-re-book-wrestlemania-v/
You forgot to tell him that it's NOT wrestling, it's Pure Action Soap Opera Entertainment.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to see that AJ Styles way of doing business may be the way of the future for wrestlers. By bouncing in between NJPW, RoH and independents he has more financial security than he would in TNA and even WWE.
ReplyDeleteDon't kid yourself, Style would have been forced to take a paycut in NXT
HE doesn't want Steph to steal the company from him the way he did from his dad so he is going to run it into the ground first?
ReplyDeleteMacho Man used to call it the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship of the World.
ReplyDeleteScott should have responded to this email with the classic "I don't owe you readers an explanation"
ReplyDeleteAJ is making a lot doing his schedule. But AJ is a lot more talented than the other guys in TNA. He will get more chances to make more money.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Its just dumb to have two world titles within one company. Even when the brand split was weak but still kinda existed it made sense but once they did the raw supershow it was pointless and kind of devalued both belts.
ReplyDeleteAJ and Del Rio are huge names though. The litmus test is what would a guy like Luke Harper get on his own.
ReplyDeleteBut the fact is he built up his name enough where he can make his own schedule.
ReplyDeleteBesides name recognition > talent in wrestling.
Anyone else get a free 25$ shop wwe credit for being with the network a year and if so what are you spending it on?
ReplyDelete1- I didn't say we shouldn't talk about other topics, but we all realize we are here for wrestling.
ReplyDelete2- I want to watch, they are just not providing me with a product that I enjoy, so I talk about it.
3- I watch NXT. The others, I'll admit I haven't really tried. Maybe I should. What would you suggest I start with? I tried the ROH show for a few weeks but I just couldn't get into it
Oh, he's screwed. But the point is he built himself up enough to do so.
ReplyDeleteThe test is Samoa Joe. Has he done enough to make a similar schedule?
yes
ReplyDeleteHe was doing fine before WWE as Harper Lee so I guess with the added name recognition he would do even better
ReplyDeleteIf I got one I'd probably try and sell it on for ten bucks or something
ReplyDeleteDepends on if he cares enough like Styles.
ReplyDeleteI'M GONNA KILL MY CREATION
ReplyDeleteJoe's floundered at this stage of his career but there's so much Indie cred and left over credibility from the height of his TNA run that he'll do well between ROH and Japan.
ReplyDeleteThere's also a shortage of talent. WWE has gobbled up a lot of guys in recent years so someone like Joe going back now, he'll get books anywhere he wants at the top of the card.
Yes. If you signed up for the network on day one and kept the subscription you got the offer.
ReplyDeleteMore stupid viral social media bullshit
ReplyDeleteI might get the Mid South DVD or wait until something else catches my eye.
ReplyDeletePeople like Kenta, Devitt, Generico and Steen must have took massive paycut to go in NxT. It must be frustrating for some of them to be stuck there for year while they are more than ready for the main roster
ReplyDeleteI haven't yet. I read they have to do it in waves or something.
ReplyDeleteIN WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVES #trivium
ReplyDeleteReally. I got mine a few days ago
ReplyDeleteI dunno, Luke Gallows seems to be able to do alright for himself and he's not a out and out superstar or anything. Might take a little bit of luck, but I think it's possible for a lot of the guys currently with WWE to be able to make it on the indies.
ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING IS FINE!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI got a KO shirt.
ReplyDeleteI tapped out post mania when hhh was still the top heel. Seen all the ppvs (though not fast lane yet) but raw has definitely passed me by. I've seen less than 90 minutes total of raw since mid April. I have watched smackdown a couple times. The fucking network has me more than covered for wrestling to watch but it would be cool to follow a product that is new, but I guess nxt. Still I can't believe people watch raw still.
ReplyDeleteWhat if you threatened to cancel every other month but didn't... does that factor in?
ReplyDeleteHe'd get work, but I don't know if he'd get close to what he'd get on the WWE main roster.
ReplyDeleteI think some of their guys would. Like Ziggler would be able to work anywhere he wanted for pretty much whatever he wants. Not only does he have the recognition, but he's over on the biggest stage and really WWE is just wasting him. I wouldn't be surprised if he could make a lot of money leaving.
But some guys, I'm not sure it'd be worth it.
Or...you know....he could critique wrestling on a wrestling critic's blog.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't the WWE website, Mike.
Yeah, but then take someone like Chris Masters or Rob Conway.
ReplyDeleteThey're both still making the rounds and have been for a while. They can't be doing that well. Conway maybe a little better because he's getting some Japan bookings.
I feel you on that dude, but zero chance. Maybe even like a -45% chance.
ReplyDeleteI'm between war games dvd (a number of those aren't on the network) and Macho shirt...don't own any wrestling shirts anymore...but could go for that.
ReplyDeleteYou used an unword.
ReplyDeleteYeah, aren't guys who get squashed on WWE's C shows able to charge more when they make appearances solely for the fact that they've been on TV?
ReplyDeleteThere is a better chance of seeing Benoit go in the wwe hall of fame.
ReplyDeleteTNA talent: a little slow on the uptake.
ReplyDeleteOnly if Kevin Sullivan inducts him.
ReplyDeletePretty much right there with you. The PPVs are easier to swallow on the network when you don't watch the product weekly. I watch NXT, and old stuff. But I can't stomach Raw or Smackdown in any way.
ReplyDeleteDay 1 subscriber and all I got were some shitty emojis I'll never use.
ReplyDeleteOr pretty much every billionaire CEO out there.
ReplyDeleteBuy something popular like a Cena shirt, then sell it on ebay. Boom. I did that when they gave me a similar offer.
ReplyDeleteI believe so.
ReplyDeleteZack Ryder would make more than the average indy wrestler.
If he dies, another will take his place.
ReplyDeleteSomebody (I can't believe it's Dixie) must have been blowing so much smoke up those guys asses for them to not pick up on this for the last 4 years. I wonder what kind of bullshit they were feeding them for so long.
ReplyDeleteThat KO shirt is one of the few wrestling shirts that would seem not embarrassing to wear in public.
ReplyDeleteUgh I got emojis I can't even use on disqus
ReplyDeleteOnly the ones that depended on TNA income. I know wrestlers like Robbie E was taking indy days, so despite how stupid he comes across on TV he was smart for that.
ReplyDeleteBut Conway just had a reign as NWA World Champion! That totally means the same as it did in 1983! It's even the same title belt!
ReplyDelete"Dixie must have been blowing those guys for them to not pick up on this for the last 4 years."
ReplyDeleteThere ya go.
At least if we could use them here it would be funny but I think they can only be texted. I really dont imagine I'll be sending many wwe emojis to my friends and family.
ReplyDeleteGrateful nerd.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look like a wrestling shirt.
ReplyDeleteNever underestimate the power of delusion.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't be more impressed with Styles' last year. Every match of his from ROH and New Japan I've seen has been great. Good on him.
ReplyDeleteExactly.
ReplyDeleteWasn't Masters in Japan for awhile?
ReplyDeleteI believe they did, which means they believe they can succeed in the WWE. Styles probably knew he couldn't, so I don't think the Styles way is the way of the future so much as the way to go for guys who know they won't make it big in the WWE because of their size/look/sound/whatever.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about the NWA in 2015 is you go to their page and click on their affiliate promotions and almost 90% of the pages are either dead links or haven't been updated in like three years.
ReplyDeleteConway was. Don't recall Masters being over there
ReplyDeleteDon't know, I knew Conway was over because he was on the most recent NJPW shows.
ReplyDeleteThat's easy.
ReplyDeleteChange everything except the main event.
Done.
I wonder if I'm dq'd because my credit card expired this year and I had to put my new one in and I didn't do it until they sent me a thing saying I had been cancelled.
ReplyDeleteWell that is not within the rules.
ReplyDeleteThere was a few promotions here in Australia that were affiliated with the NWA, but they all pretty much died off or stoped affiliating with them when this new guy took over. I think they now run through this one place in Perth now.
ReplyDeleteYup. Not all of them demand it, but yes.
ReplyDeleteHey Davey, how do you feel about all those burnt bridges now?
ReplyDeleteKenta, Devitt, Generico and Steen took a HUGE gamble. THeir style works on NXT because the style didn't change.
ReplyDeleteWait until they have to work that WWE style on the main roster. There is no guarantee they will be successful with it.
I am positively shocked, shocked I tell you, that leaving channel 48 to move to channel 789 wasn't the impetus for a financial and creative Renaissance. These are things that healthy, growing, not dying companies do all the time!
ReplyDeleteRichards? He is an EMT or Paramedic. He can work doing that.
ReplyDeleteNo, you're dq'd because you're a cunt.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I was wondering who designs the NXT shirts? Because they actually seem quite good compared to most of the stuff the main WWE guys get. It can't be the same people designing both can it? Or does someone in the WWE just have piss-poor taste and need to cram something onto every inch of the shirt?
ReplyDeleteThere's no guarantee for anyone, but they, personally, must believe they can do it or I doubt they would have left their prior routes.
ReplyDeleteI watched probably every single show from Mania through to Night Of Champions, then pretty much bailed on actually watching until the Rumble, which was a shower of shite. I'm hesitant on Mania. I've got tickets for Raw in April and if I didn't, I'd probably pack in completely now, but as I'm going I may as well keep tabs on what's going on, as shit as it is.
ReplyDeletewhooooooooooooooah
ReplyDelete"If he dies, Steph and Dunn will take his place."
ReplyDeleteDo we REALLY want that?
Same here, good call. I used Paypal at first and it got all fucked up and had to switch to my checking directly.
ReplyDeleteAlways with the rules, Bayless.
ReplyDeleteAlways with the rules.
P2b bumping the hulkster out of the main event!!! Thats bad business BROTHER
ReplyDeleteYea, isn't he training to be a fire-fighter too? I think he's said at this point in his life that that's his main passion and wrestling is a side project for him (and TNA's schedule allows him to have a day job). It's probably a very healthy attitude for someone to have really.
ReplyDeleteWell except the all "neck breaking thing" but I agree, I started really following NJPW when he beat Okada for the belt and all his matches have been really good.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Style/Nakamura or Style/Ibushi in the futur
What? Really? Stupid.
ReplyDeleteCredibility shattered.
Very possible. Not sure how they would know though...
ReplyDeleteDo we have a choice?
ReplyDeleteIf I'm TNA talent and I'm seeing
ReplyDeleteROH is doing fairly well, has solid TV, might be getting your company's old national TV deal, and you might be able to parlay that into more money by working Japan and Indies.
Lucha has a lot of insider buzz in terms of critical acclaim, it's show is probably on as many cable carriers as Destination America, it's a couple days of work a month, you're pretty much free to work anywhere else, and it's probably not a bad line to get some AAA work.
NXT is a pretty fantastic show, it could lead to a WWE payday, but they're also talking about touring which means those guys might end up making pretty solid money just working in NXT pretty soon.
I'm pretty pissed. And I know I'm probably on the sinking ship in this equation.
By the way is there even room for Jarrett's thing at this point? He waited way too long to get that thing off the ground.
I went double main!
ReplyDeleteWas Jarrett's thing ever really a... thing? As in an actual promotion. His statements were always so vague about what it was he was actually doing.
ReplyDeleteThey know everything, bro.
ReplyDeleteEverything.
The under cards were way better but they'd have to chain the hulkster to titan towers to keeeo him out of that main event.
ReplyDeleteMy promotion in EWR is more real than GFW
ReplyDeleteNo idea. He's still saying he's closing in on his major announcement but who knows.
ReplyDeleteThey still never even really figured out how that NJPW PPV he promoted did.
I think it is really just him acting as a promotor for various promotions to get exposure in in the US.
ReplyDeleteHe was also the hottest thing ever to that point. It would dumb as shit to put him on anywhere but last with the strap on the line.
ReplyDeleteAnd looking back, Hogan is shit to me. But my god, he was the big honkin' deal at the time.
My guess is he started it thinking he'd get a TV deal straight up and they've found it much harder to do so, so he's been what he's doing at the moment to kill some time and push the GFW brand a bit.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he learnt a quite a bit about what NOT to do when launching a promotion with TNA, and it's not like GFW had massive buzz that then faded away because he didn't launch, so I suppose it's probably better for the long term health of his promotion that they absolutely get all their ducks in a row before they launch. Like they would have also learnt with TNA, you only get 1 chance to make a first impression.
Well the constraints of the project made it impossible. You had to keep the same champions and can't reuse any matches. So Savage/Hogan for the title was impossible to do.
ReplyDeleteI did Hogan/Andre retirement match and Savage/DiBiase for the title.
I'd love to see how hogan would rebook big 80's shows. If wcw was any indicator it would probably be hysterical.
ReplyDeleteHe's said he was gonna retire and be an EMT years ago. At the time it was reported his wife wanted him home
ReplyDeleteHe couldn't leave wrestling, and he got a divorce instead. Unless Richards mindset has changed, he's always come off in interviews as someone who takes himself deathly seriously as a wrestler.
Haha, Hogan in every match!
ReplyDeleteHow do you sell a TV show without any talent under contract, though.
ReplyDelete"Uh, yeah, it's me, and my wife, and there will be lots more!"
I don't think he really knows exactly what he's doing, but trying to read between the lines. He wants to run a company and TV show with like maybe eight guys he pays under contract. And then he just does talent swaps with different federations from around the world.
So maybe some AAA guys come up and work a couple of his TVs, and his guys go down there for a shot and so forth.
And then I believe he wants to keep promoting foreign PPVs and having his guys work on those shows as a condition of his promoting them.
But he has no guys. And he has not TV show. So it's really hard to figure out what he's doing or how he's going to get this done.
TNA : the place to go when nobody else wants you
ReplyDeleteAck, the rules!!! The RUUUULLLEEESS!!! *brain freeze*
ReplyDeleteYeah I had a real hard time with the champions thing. Puts ya in a real box.
ReplyDeleteROH hyped a farewell match for the wolves that he just blew off because he thought he deserved a better match on his way out.
ReplyDeleteEddie showed up though. I like Eddie, he seems like good people
It's been at least a year of this shit
ReplyDeleteJeff Jarrett @RealJeffJarrett · Feb 25
Very productive day in Louisville, Ky with meetings on future @GFWWrestling plans... Great seeing lots of friends and fans tonight... #OVW
GFW's website is so unintentionally hilarious.
ReplyDelete"it's not like GFW had massive buzz"
ReplyDeleteWhat the fuck are you talking about?Jarret's and Karen's photosets are selling like hotcakes!
http://globalforcewrestling.richardsandsouthern.com/global-force-wrestling-autographed-8x10-photo-set.html
At this point I wouldn't be shocked if this whole time, he was actually setting up an E-FED.
ReplyDeleteI've been critical of the WWE multiple times in the last hour in this thread alone. I don't mind critique. Critique is a necessity. What annoys me is specifically what I said: the public announcements of "HEY EVERYONE, I'M NOT WATCHING THIS!"
ReplyDeleteI love that they have a store yet no promotion. Get a Global Force Wrestilng shirt for $25! What the hell is Global Force Wrestling?????
ReplyDeleteOr Jeff & Karen glossy 8x10s.
Good god! And I can get it personalized for only an extra $20! WHY DIDN'T YOU SHOW ME THIS EARLIER?!?!?
ReplyDeleteEddie must have a lot of loyalty towards his friend to follow him like that
ReplyDeleteYeah, at one point there was a deep enough roster to make the concept work, but I'd even say it was before the Raw Supershow concept that it jumped the shark for me: when they went away from the split PPVs, that was when I was like...why do we still have two titles? Two title matches at just Rumble, Mania and Summerslam? Kinda cool! Two title matches every month? Fuck off with that.
ReplyDeleteJarrett's description of GFW were always full of MBA buzzword bullshit. Lots of "synergy", "relationships", "branding", etc. and short on actual substance.
ReplyDeleteHe's got everything set up except for the wrestling promotion bit. Maybe he just forgot.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched since the first few, but Lucha Underground is pretty cool. I can't get into ROH. The lack of production value just kills it for me and I don't care about anyone they have anymore. They're kind of like ECW in '99-01 at this point for me: the insane talent well has mostly dried up. Maybe Joe going back there will get me to DVR an episode or two.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he's making too much bank on those 8x10s...
ReplyDeleteOooh a Global Force Wrestling Black Can Coolie
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
ReplyDeleteAs long as Vince and Dunn (or DUNCE, as I call them) don't get involved they will be OK. But they REALLY need a new championship title belt.
ReplyDeleteI could design one for him.
I was surprised that RoH didn't put one of their belts on him.
ReplyDeleteEverything is different, but the same... things are more moderner than before... bigger, and yet smaller... it's computers... San Dimas High School football rules!
ReplyDeleteThe "neck breaking" thing for the most part wasn't his fault and it actually helped get the Styles Clash over as a killer move in Japan.
ReplyDeleteUS Title should be exclusive to RAW, IC Belt to Smackdown and all the other belts should float between brands.
ReplyDeleteThat would make sense, he probably saw BoD Raw and is upset at how much acclaim it got, so he wants to compete.
ReplyDeleteIt's really hard to feel bad for anyone who had/has other options and stuck with TNA this whole time. The company has smelled of death since... Well, you could say a long time, but definitely since spring of last year.
ReplyDeleteI have no faith in anything you've mention except NXT as long as Vince doesn't fuck with it.
ReplyDeleteThis is the Perfect time for a #2 promotion in North America to pop up and the crazy thing is that it could be NXT if the WWE plays their cards right.
Currently reading Booker T's new book. Didn't know his Harlem Heat theme he still uses is stock music too.
ReplyDeleteYour annoyance has been noted.
ReplyDeleteYou know what grinds my gears? People who watch RAW.
I'M NOT WATCHING IT.
