Destination America Memo Regarding TNA Being Cancelled Leaked
Here is the memo:
"Destination America is not renewing TNA Wrestling next year. While the ratings were strong, the audience was not large enough to justify the program investment. We plan to honor the current contract and continue to air original episodes of TNA Wrestling on Friday nights through the end of the third quarter 2015. When the up-front rate card is released, the Friday night anthology title will now be called 'American Tales,' which will be a combination of Paranormal and Americana programming. I hope this is good news given all of the advertisers that included TNA on their DNA list."
It should also be noted that the "DNA List" means the "Do Not Advertise List," which is something sponsors list for shows they specifically do not want their ads on.

ReplyDeleteThe lulz. All of them.
Well that seems pretty final.
ReplyDeleteAre there any talents left in TNA who may have a shot at WWE? If they took Joe maybe they're softening the stance?
ReplyDeleteHey Ryback, did you mean to injure Rusev, or are you dumb as fuck?
ReplyDeleteRusev suffered a lower leg injury at Tuesday's Smackdown tapings. He is currently being evaluated for them at this time.
ReplyDeleteEvaluated on whether or not he has legs?
DOCTOR: "Welp...his left leg is missing..."
ReplyDeleteVINCE: "Whoa...we can re-brand him...I'm picturing a Bulgarian PIRATE!"
DOCTOR: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So, Bayley and the "Hug Life" cracks me up. She definitely needs to be the "Doctor of Huganomics."
ReplyDeleteIs Disqus acting like CM Punk this morning?
ReplyDeleteWell apparently they want AJ Styles after all these years of lowballing and rejections.
ReplyDeleteWork is picking up, so I may not get another chance to say it, but....
ReplyDeleteLOLTNA
CENAWINSLOL
ReplyDeleteI mean, technically he does...
"When the up-front rate card is released, the Friday night anthology title will now be called 'American Tales,' which will be a combination of Paranormal and Americana programming."
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad Jeff Hardy is gonna land on his feet.
"We would really prefer we not be advertised on a television program who's title is an acronym for 'Tits and Ass,' thank you."
ReplyDeleteAlso, LOL at TNAMecca:
ReplyDeleteJ-Man • an hour ago
Below is my post that was deleted last night. I don't understand why it was deleted considering I was only trying to see what was happening. Here it is and can someone help me understand :
I've been very busy today and reading this stuff for the first time. It's like DA is purposely stealing TNA's viewers and feeding them to ROH.
This doesn't sound good at all. Someone please tell me that I'm reading the ROH stuff wrong.
My goodness someone needs to step in and wake them up.
ReplyDelete'I hope this is good news given all of the advertisers that included TNA on their DNA list.''
ReplyDeleteOUCH.
I said it yesterday, but it bears repeating:
ReplyDeleteWhile I know wrestling isn't a hot product with advertisers, I am sure DA will have an easier time for selling ads to something called "Ring of Honor" versus something called "TNA". One sounds prestigious, the other sounds smutty.
Really, naming the company TNA in the first place signaled it was never going to work.
I'm guessing TNAMecca folks are claiming the memo is faked and Meltzer is still a liar.
ReplyDeleteJoe already had cred outside of TNA, even if they buried him for the past few years, plus I think he's cool with Cena.
ReplyDeleteThere's no one else WWE would be interested in on TNA's roster. Even MVP.
The programming might be wearing off...
ReplyDeleteThey can always seek refuge here when their set free.
Maybe after the huge reaction to Joe WWE is realizing it might be worth it to sign Styles for some spot shows. They can easily make money together, even if only short-term.
ReplyDeleteThen again the whole ROH on national TV situation has to be worked out...
They should have followed through and changed the name of the company to Impact Wrestling a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteRight, but I also think ROH's business model will work better than TNA. At least ROH will advertise outside of DA, they've got a local TV deal, and seem to be ok. TNA just depended on whatever network to do for them what they wouldn't do themselves.
ReplyDeleteIn that respect, ROH is more capable of handling themselves than TNA.
So is that the confirmation that DA is cancelling TNA? And Dixie is pretty much straight out lying to the talent now?
ReplyDeleteSomeone's trying to fix it by repeatedly using the wrong debugger?
ReplyDeleteQuick question, not TNA based. Was Pat Patterson's sexuality ever really secret?
ReplyDeleteI started watching in the Attitude Era and it was fairly well known and joking references were made all the time, yet recently on legends House he kinda came out of the closet as if this was a big secret.
Was it all just inuenndo before?
Mines working today, but I was having issues last night
ReplyDeleteAfter they get cancelled, TNA should be put on the DNR list.
ReplyDeleteVince doesn't get Pirates remember.
ReplyDeleteShe said yesterday she couldn't comment on their relationship with DA for legal reasons. It REALLY sounds like Dixie and her lawyers signed an awful contract.
ReplyDeleteDOCTOR: "Like Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean?"
ReplyDeleteVince: "Like who in what?"
A little from column A, a little from column B
ReplyDeleteKind of an open secret. Much like how it was open secret that there was no tournament in Rio di Janeiro.
ReplyDeleteHardys will be brought in if they pass their drugs tests.
ReplyDeleteAngle for either a short run or a legends contract.
Wolves would be a great tag team addition,
EC3 will join NXT
Maybe a few knockouts?
Honestly, until DA releases a statement publicly, I don't think it can be considered total confirmation. Things don't look good for TNA, and they'll probably need a new TV deal somewhere, but without an official public statement, it's all rumors.
ReplyDeleteChuck Taylor, Johnny Gargano and Jimmy Preston will also be at the next WWE tryout camp with Thomaso.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing Dixie is aware they plan to cancel Impact and "legal reasons" are her trying to find a way to stop them.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of any of these guys. Are they better known under gimmick names?
ReplyDeleteThe shoe?
ReplyDeleteSerious question: What chance does TNA have of making it to 2016 on Destination America? I call it less than 1%. And the only reason it's non-zero is because wrestling.
ReplyDeleteThe first two are best known under those names, the third is unfamiliar to me.
ReplyDeleteOne of them was basically like, "This doesn't make sense! Dixie says they have 2 years of programming!" Sigh...
ReplyDeleteI think the chances are slim. Like I said, though, I just want to see something said officially before I start declaring the death of TNA.
ReplyDeleteDixie can't out and out reveal everything's that happening, lest everyone abandon ship. I figure most people already know, and stuff like Hemme leaving is just further confirmation.
ReplyDeleteI'm certain Dixie knows and is trying to get on to another network, but being on a lower tier network's DNA list is not a good thing, plus their move from Spike isn't even a year old.
Dave is pretty rarely wrong about this kind of thing, though.
ReplyDeleteLess than 1%. TNA is toxic to DA right now.
ReplyDeleteHuh, that's actually not a bad name at all. And the champ can refer to himself as the IWC!
ReplyDeleteDidn't know about Gargano
ReplyDeleteHow long until Dixie bashes the "dirt sheet writers" for making up lies and threatens more lawsuits?
ReplyDeleteWell she's probably already REALLY BUSY with that first lawsuit, ya know.
ReplyDeleteI half expected to wake up today to the news that Dixie Carter had called an emergency overnight meeting for all TNA talent, to be held in Kansas City, and that the entire roster hurriedly assembled... but Dixie was a no-show. Well... she did go to a Days Inn, in Kansas City, KS... but her workers were at the Days Inn in Kansas City, MO.
ReplyDeleteBROCK's return date just leaked if you guys want to go seek that out.
ReplyDeleteThat name is definitely a liability, particularly in the current culture.
ReplyDeleteIf they fall onto the radar of the wrong blogger they, and potentially wrestling on the whole, will be in the media as proponents of rape culture. And then see what the advertisers think.
What happened to TNA moving to Wednesdays? I don't follow things that closely, but why no mention?
ReplyDelete"Dixie Carter is a proponent of rape culture"
ReplyDeleteOh man, I can see the blog headlines already.
"Rusev suffered a lower leg injury at Tuesday's Smackdown tapings."
ReplyDeleteHmm.
Hmm.
I'll consider it.
So once DA cancels Impact, where else can they go? Being put on a 3rd tier network's DNA list is pretty terrible. Whomever gets them is going to have not much money coming in aside from what may be coming from Panda. Still, I don't see how this can be anything other than bad.
ReplyDeleteThe decision to cancel was made before the decision to move the show to Wednesdays. It's possible that a strong showing on Wednesdays COULD save TNA.
ReplyDeleteDave originally said the decision to cancel was made before the decision to change nights, IIRC.
ReplyDeleteThey've cut out all their secondary TNA shows and just added a cheaper alternative to air on the same night. That doesn't exactly show any confidence towards TNA.
ReplyDeleteThere wasn't a tournament in Rio?
ReplyDeleteNo chance
ReplyDeleteDun nananana
No chance in hell
I think the damning statement is the bit about the DNA list. That's a killshot.
ReplyDeleteDixie wanted Impact back on TV as soon as possible, so it sounds like she signed a shitty deal.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly WGN wanting to keep Impact off TV for six months doesn't sound so bad.
I don't know, it's hard to spin anything positive when the last line of that memo is basically butt-kissing to advertisers about ridding their network of a show nobody wants to be advertised on.
ReplyDeleteI love it. The hug life chose her.
ReplyDeleteI just FINALLY got through Wrestlemania VI last night....barely. It has taken somewhere around a week to get through that show. Three and a half hours in one week. And what a shit card that was. The only true WM matches on there were Hogan-Warrior, Roberts-DiBiase and Demolition-Andre/Haku. Everything else was SNME filler.
ReplyDeleteUnless ratings show a big increase on Wednesday and, more importantly, more advertisers want to get in bed with TNA, zero.
ReplyDeleteSo...
ReplyDeleteCavs or Warriors?
Stoked to see a new MarvAtar today. I hope he does "Marv Albert" next.
ReplyDeleteWarriors. Probably a sweep.
ReplyDeleteThey were in between a rock and a hard place.
ReplyDeleteThat's what happens when you hire Russo. Zero sympathy over here.
I edited my comment to clarify -- it's possible, but not likely. Big money advertisers would have to come forward and say "Yes, we want to advertise during Impact" to get TNA to stick around.
ReplyDeleteCavs in 6.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great line.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing better than a twelve hour deadline shift is a normal shift followed by a wrap party, so that's another twelve hour stint, albeit with no pay for four of them in exchange for booze and classy slider food. At least it's on a Thursday so I can GM 7 out on Fri/Sat
ReplyDeleteWarriors in 6.
ReplyDeleteI'm not questioning Dave here, though. He's probably right in this instance. All I'm saying is that the only official statement mentioning TNA that's come from DA's offices is that they're signing ROH and making a night of wrestling block with TNA.
ReplyDeleteThe network hasn't OFFICIALLY booted TNA yet, although it seems to be fait accompli.
It was a well known "secret" to smart fans, plus the early 90's sex scandal probably convinced casual and not-so-casual fans of it, but there's been such a huge audience turnover since those days, WWE probably figured it would be a good "real" moment despite everyone on Legends House probably knowing.
ReplyDeleteWith Christy Hemme leaving, I have to ask, is she sill working Roh these days or is she now a free agent?
ReplyDeleteLightning.
ReplyDeleteThe statement said ratings weren't the issue. Being on the DNA list is.
ReplyDeleteThat's both a funny poke at Marv and a really good idea.
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Warriors in 6
ReplyDeleteWarriors in 6. Too deep, are unstoppable when Splash Bros are splashing, defense won't let the LeBronnaires beat them
ReplyDeleteNot needed. He still has Lana to kiss the "boo-boo" and make it better.
ReplyDeleteI can't be the only one that thinks she's pretty hot right?
ReplyDeleteYes, Yes you can
ReplyDeleteShe's OK for someone her age.
ReplyDeleteWarriors in 5, 6 if Kyrie's reasonably healthy.
ReplyDeleteRight, but no one is going to officially point that out until close to the end of the run. No advantage to go on the record 4 months before it happens.
ReplyDeleteBut Dave getting it from the DA offices isn't something he'd lie about.
1.25%. It's 98 3/4 % guaranteed. :P
ReplyDelete"Tomasso Ciampa will be at next month's tryout camp at the Performance Center"
ReplyDeleteIf ever anyone needed a WWE name change...
Even if TNA somehow provides that now, it's zero.
ReplyDeleteWWE can milk it for months where the person refuses to wrestle until someone properly pronounces their name.
ReplyDeleteThey won't. Networks rarely announce when they cancel a show. A show usually learns they've been cancelled when the deadline for renewal passes without it happening. Sometimes a network will give them a heads-up so they can move along, or a highly-paid star might be informed. It's pretty common for shows to just be left flapping in the wind until schedules get released showing they aren't on.
ReplyDeleteIf that memo is legit, it shows DA was gonna run TNA on Fridays til dropping them. Given the move to Wednesday it's possible things have changed, though whether it's just a lateral change, or one for the better, or worse, is anyone's guess. I wouldn't call TNA dead yet: the network might consider renegotiating a lower-paying deal; maybe airing the them in hours outside of primetime. Who knows? TNA could figure out something, and go on pretending Everything Is Fine like they always do.
He sounds more like a contestant on Iron Chef.
ReplyDeleteI've seen uglier 50 year-old women, but I've also seen much better looking 50 year-old women.
ReplyDeleteHis name sounds like something you'd order at Olive Garden.
ReplyDeletehttps://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/11295802_1671311739766801_9174465636638233318_n.jpg?oh=aa0eb24b38f40a06c4dd7964cd176373&oe=56004A41
ReplyDelete"Tommy Goomba"
ReplyDeleteThey are likely going to use RoH as their wrestling show, because its cheaper, then use TNA to get them some viewers until September. I think DA learned that TNA is an awful company to do business with and not making them any money at all.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, but she has some def cougar appeal going I think. Just throwing it out there...
ReplyDeleteAnd since Olive Garden is just the worst....it probably tastes like crap.
ReplyDeleteMr. Blutarsky... zero... point... zero.
ReplyDeleteThat means more time with the C-List Posse at Dave and Busters!
ReplyDeleteOr a lame name ECW would've come up with back in the 90s for their Italian faction
ReplyDeleteOr when someone who has zero knowledge of wrestling or the TV industry buys the company.
ReplyDeleteFor 50, she's at least above average. The advantage of rich genes.
ReplyDeleteYeah, and Bret Hart signed a 20 year deal with WWF.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather jizz by surprise than on a schedule, thank you.
ReplyDeleteGiven 7 Billion people on earth...And figure about half of them are attracted to women. 3.5 Billion. Take out young children, You're down to about 2 Billion people who are sexually attracted to women, particularly considering how low some people's standards are? I'd agree. There is no way you're the only one who thinks she's hot.
ReplyDeleteROH also sells merch/DVDs, sells PPVs and iPPVs, and SELLS TICKETS TO THE SHOWS. Right there are several revenue streams that are far better than TNA's.
ReplyDeleteOff TV for six months, off TV in six months...either or.
ReplyDeleteHogan pushed for it. Carter said it was their history and "brand" and that they should stick by it.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe there are Olive Gardens in Manhattan.
ReplyDeleteHome to some of the best Italian restaurants in the world.. and instead people go to Olive Garden.
Another example of Dixie being Dixie...
ReplyDeleteCoincidence or irony that "TNA" and "DNA" sound so much alike?
ReplyDeleteYes, I've thought about that too. It's like having an On-the-Border in texas. But OG isn't even the worst chain Italian food - Macaroni Grill takes that honor
ReplyDelete4/10 would consider.
ReplyDeleteIt's always hilarious when he pretends to be stable. I give it two days before he's screeching again.
ReplyDeleteI wonder the same thing when I see people going to a Red Lobster at the beach.
ReplyDelete"This was a particularly bad case of somebody being cut in half."
ReplyDeleteReposting from yesterday: as due to the Disqus problems most people didn't read it.
ReplyDeleteJust realised that Destination America may be the smartest company in this whole story
They took a wrestling company with a relatively large audience, but with high costs, and brought them in. They waited until as much of the audience as possible followed to the new channel, then they run the show alongside a cheaper wrestling show.
Once the viewers start to switch and/or watch both. They jettison the more expensive company, meaning they get cheap programming with relative high viewership.
Genius.
Hey Dean Wormer, what are the chances of TNA being on Destination come September?
ReplyDelete"Zero... point... zero."
Forgot about buca de peppo below. That place makes Olive Garden seems like a five star restaurant
ReplyDeleteSame as Blutarsky's GPA on Animal House.
ReplyDeleteDA using TNA to bring in ROH? Cold.
ReplyDeleteROH is better run than TNA, and that's amazing given talent level and available resources.
Absolutely, although let's wait until the ROH ratings come in before we say "relative high viewership"
ReplyDeleteOf course, I expect ROH to do as well if not better than TNA in viewers, but let's not count our chickens.
The only way to eat at Olive Garden now is to go there, take in the crappy service, complain to the parent company, and get a $50 gift card to Microwave Garden for your troubles.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I've done that 2x now with them. Guess I'm the dolt.
So...............I wonder what companies are on the DNA list?
ReplyDeleteIf TNA truly was on a DNA list, then you might as well add them to the DNR list.
ReplyDeleteDo. Not. Resuscitate.
Yeah, there should be nobody going to a Red Lobster or Joe's Crab Shack within at least 30 miles of an ocean. Why eat frozen seafood when you can get stuff caught yesterday?
ReplyDeleteEverything is fine
ReplyDeleteYou know, it's almost borderline insane to me that advertisers lined up to put ads in "Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo" but considered wrestling to be low-brow and toxic.
ReplyDeleteAmerica.
Oh, I'd love to have some fun with her, but damned if I'd listen to her talk afterwards.
ReplyDeleteThe show is called Tits and Ass Impact
ReplyDeleteEvery show in history is more high brow.
Advertisers probably assume more people will watch Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo for the car wreck factor than actual "positive" content.
ReplyDeleteHe could team with Fandango...
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of the whole shebang?
ReplyDeleteCould be worse. They could have Daniel Simpson Day's GPA.
ReplyDeleteTNA, DNA, DOA...
ReplyDeleteA spec-tac-ular troll!
ReplyDeleteDo you think hhh does chores around the house in his chain mail tank top? I mean, why let the thing go to waste?
ReplyDeleteClearly once TNA "dies" there will be a paranormal show on Destination America with ghost hunter type people looking for the soul of TNA. This will occur during TNA's former timeslot.
ReplyDeleteIt's times like these when you really have to think that if TNA just changed their name to Impact and they stuck with that name, would it have made a difference?
ReplyDeleteWhat I kinda find interesting in this is how it took a while to get Impact going on DA, but RoH is getting added next week. Now I haven't paid any attention to DA's overall lineup, so I don't know what's being going on with what other shows that would allow them to not only move Impact to Wednesdays on such short notice, but also add RoH.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if the timeline is that the deal with RoH had been in the works for awhile, then the DNA issue arose, leading to the cancellation memo, then the RoH deal solidified for a spot on Wednesdays, at which point the decision was made to move Impact to Wednesdays too. If this is close then it seems DA sorta did TNA a favor by making them seem to be the anchor of the wrestling lineup by announcing their move first. Of course it also uses TNA to draw the viewers for RoH, so it did them a favor as well. Announcing the RoH acquisition first, then the TNA move might have reflected badly all around. Very craft this hillbilly Bigfoot network is...
Nope. Also, Santa Claus isn't real. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteJust heard Bryan and Dave Meltzer's discussion regarding TNA's situation. He made some good points, like "If I were a TV executive, why would I want to work with this company after how they've reacted in the past week?"
ReplyDeleteNah. The damage was already done.
ReplyDeleteNow you're just messing with me to be mean
ReplyDeleteI really need to stop reading this website, but again, LOL at TNAMecca:
ReplyDeleteDan K Jon Whritenour • 8 minutes ago
I don't believe the memo story. As someone who works with memos on a daily basis, I feel it's either made up, or the most unprofessional memo I've ever read.
2 things that could have helped TNA.
ReplyDelete1) keep Vince Russo away from the product.
2) keep Dixie Carter away from wrestling.
When you've got a product that practically sells itself to advertisers, you get to do all this cloak and dagger bullshit, duh.
ReplyDeleteHoney Boo-Boo also drew good ratings. Let's not act like morality, when it comes to advertisers, is anything more than an empty excuse.
ReplyDeleteI was actually genuinely surprised they kept it when they switched. I thought Impact Wrestling had a nice corporate sounding name and that TNA could go to the wayside similar to how Raw is War just scaled back to Raw. It was more than time for it.
ReplyDeleteIronically, if Dixie kept away from wrestling, TNA would have died out in 2003. It was her family's money that kept it going.
ReplyDeleteEven RAW has trouble getting advertisers these days, and it's often the highest-rated show on cable.
ReplyDeleteIt's not just morality, it's just an anti-wrestling thing.
That would make things super interesting and hilarious.
ReplyDeleteRusso gave TNA their highest ratings and was one of the head writers in 2009 when the product was awesome.
ReplyDeleteHe's as much of an expert in memos as Dougie is in mayo.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely bought an "I'M A HUGGER" shirt when I went to NXT and feel pretty good about it.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, wasn't he one of the reasons the relationship between TNA and Spike went sour?
ReplyDeleteYes and cocaine can make you feel better but it's never a long-term solution.
ReplyDeleteOne TNA Mecca member lurks here and is aware that you have fun with people's comments from there on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteI can see that ending well...
ReplyDeleteYep. I'm sure they didn't like him on a personal level as he was only doing consulting when Spike found out about it, but still if Spike said no Russo then TNA should've agreed and not tried sneaking him in.
ReplyDeleteDixie had kept that place on life support from 2004 on.
ReplyDelete3) keep Hogan and all the WCW castoffs away.
ReplyDeleteRemember when yesterday started with the news of Christy Hemme leaving and we all thought that would be the #LOLTNAFAIL of the day...
ReplyDeleteYou dare question Dougie's mayo acumen?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't pretty much anyone with an office job work with memos on a somewhat regular basis? How does one become an expert on memos? Is there a font selection training certification?
ReplyDeleteFrom reading that LOLTNA site, it seems like Dixie was going out of her way to do whatever the fuck she wanted, and consequences be damned. Probably not the best strategy, since she has nowhere near the power to pull shit like that.
ReplyDeleteYeah that was more Dixie's fault than Russo's. Russo was just doing a job. Dixie was the one dumb enough to go back on what she said to Spike.
ReplyDeleteHogan/Bischoff was SUCH a waste of money.
ReplyDeleteRaw does fine with advertisers. Maybe not as great as they did in 1998, but they're not struggling and it's not all local titty bar and WWE toy commercials during the shows.
ReplyDeleteDougie knows his mayo...the issue is the bowls.
ReplyDeleteWHO PUTS MAYO IN BOWLS?!?
LOL I don't know. I just don't know.
ReplyDeleteI once received a resume from someone who was "Certified in Microsoft Word"
ReplyDeleteMaybe that makes you a memo expert?
"We've heard reports that these fairgrounds are haunted by the ghosts of people named Sonny Siaki and Jerrelle Clark, once known as 'Mr 630.' We're going to use 'rats' to try and draw them out."
ReplyDeleteafaik it has nothing to do with being "low-brow" but the assumption WHO watches it. that's also why (afaik) other shows like "Mad Men" hardly ever had any problems with ads despite the average number of viewers significantly lower than say any Raw show.
ReplyDeleteShe should have had someone else run it while she funded it.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be ironic if what ultimately dooms TNA on DA is people at the network saying "well, there was maybe some room to renegotiate--to come to some kind of amicable working agreement--but talking to that woman..."
ReplyDeleteTWO network deals maybe killed by Dixie being Dixie...
I don't think Dixie has the wisdom to realize she's not very good at running a promotion.
ReplyDeleteHence why they are in this situation.
She doesn't seem to be the most reasonable of human beings.
ReplyDeleteWWE launched the "For the Hero in All of Us" campaign specifically to target new advertisers: http://www.wwe.com/my-hero-is
ReplyDeleteYes, Raw does fine with advertisers, but not as good as show with its ratings should be doing
They hired UTA to handle their contracts and yet Dixie still does it. I don't get it at all. Stupid mistakes over and over and over again.
ReplyDeleteBotched Spot beat you to the joke: http://botchedspot.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/2015/05/2015-05-21-destination-america.jpg
ReplyDeleteI think if you can tell someone what "memo" is short for, you're an expert at memos.
ReplyDeleteAh, the Microsoft Certification courses. People pay good money for those,
ReplyDeleteRumours that WWE is very interested in AJ Styles because NXT is going to be turning into a touring brand next year.
ReplyDeleteI think AJ doesn't get enough respect. The guy has been a top-level in-ring performer for a LONG time and hasn't really slowed down in terms of performance.
I'm thinking of that email she supposedly sent out accidentally to DA where she went off on them. Has that one been debunked yet?
ReplyDeleteWell that's true, but I'm not sure why advertisers would assume the audience for Raw is a bunch of Mountain Dew drinking hillbillies and that the audience for Honey Boo-Boo isn't
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's the reason WWE may be interested in him, he use to fly around a lot in the ring, but know has slowed down and can do a bigger portion of chain wrestling, hence he is getting closer to learning "WWE Style".
ReplyDeleteI remember Russo booking TNA in 2009, I was still watching it then. It was almost unwatchable. So much nonsense happened in every single show. Their ratings and buyrates were exactly the same as under Hogan too. There is a narrative going round, even a Kindle book, that blames Hogan and Bischoff for ruining an awesome 2009, but it doesn't carry water for me.
ReplyDeleteI know there were two lame duck months at the VERY end of Russo's 2009 tenure where he put Daniels and AJ in the main event again, but that was totally just a sop to the internet. If it wasn't a lame duck period when they were waiting for Hogan to come back in, that likely wouldn't have happened.
Not to my knowledge. I assume it's true because like you've said, she's done it before.
ReplyDeleteTNA guys I like who I would like to see in WWE:
ReplyDeleteAustin Aries and Bobby Roode
Abyss as Joseph Park in a non-wrestling role
James Storm
People who will end up in WWE:
Jeff freaking Hardy
I agree. My only slight on him ever is that the Styles Clash makes no sense and looks stupid.
ReplyDeleteThat asai moonsault into a reverse DDT move he does is fucking awesome.
ReplyDeleteRusso seems like a very unlikable person
ReplyDelete
