Miz/Wyatt Non-Title Match?

I haven't been following the WWE,(especially Smackdown), that closely, so maybe you can answer this for me;  Why was the Miz vs Bray Wyatt at TLC a non-title match if Wyatt was going over anyways?  It didn't make much sense to me.   THAT'S the part that didn't make any sense to you?
